Testing: Limiting Factor
The hole in the sidewalk is large, and for some reason, a staircase leads down into the dark abyss. The vending machine that was once patiently sitting there has vanished to make room for this.
The winds of the Nexus once again pull Shotaro around the streets of the city. His day was going perfectly fine, well, until he almost missed a large whole in his daze.
"Ah! Ah!"
He quickly regains his balance before peering into the hole.
"What's this then? A staircase leading towards blackness? Right."
He smirks while adjusting his hat. He begins his descent into the hole.
"Whatever this is... I'm on the case!"
The way down is dark, and if it weren't for the small red lights floating around, Shotaro would be going in completely blind. Something black and scaly passes just above him. By the time it vanishes, a plain metal door is in front of him.
He adjusts his hat as he senses the movement above him.
"Uh huh..."
He notices the door but opts to quickly reach into his coat pocket. He produces a rather small device and brings it to his waist. A belt appears from the device and fastens it.
"Much better. Now then, let's go."
Shotaro reaches out and attempts to open the door.
Something seems to purr as Shotaro takes out the device.
The door easily opens, revealing a plain white hallway. With a sweep of a black tail from somewhere, the area becomes more distinct, changing into a gray-tiled hall with light gray walls. Straight ahead, the path reaches an intersection. To the left and right are open doorways, while there is a vault-like door straight ahead.
A shiver goes down Shotaro's spine.
"Ah mou...there isn't any turning back now."
Shotaro keeps his eyes peeled as he reaches the intersection. His attention is immediately drawn to the vault.
"What is this place supposed to be?"
He approaches the vault door and attempts to investigate it.
The vault door is thick and sturdy. Nothing short of an explosion will break it down. On the door's surface is a keypad with numbers from 0 to 9, and a place to press "enter." Interestingly enough, the display screen only has space for one digit.
Shotaro runs his right index finger along the brim of his hat.
"So I'm assuming that the code will be found in one of the doors I passed. Well then...shall we, partner?"
Shotaro jogs back to the intersection and hangs a left, heading through the open door.
Josuke was walking down the sidewalk until he saw the giant hole in the ground
"Who put this hole in the middle of the sidewalk? People could fall through it if they don't watch their step. *Sigh* I'd might as well fix it to prevent that from happening."
As Josuke approaches the hole, he notices the staircase
"Actually I'll fix it later, because it's time to do some exploring."
He then walks down the staircase
The left path leads to what seems to be a kitchen. Some dead mice lie on the counter, some already cooked and on a plate. They were probably prepared in the oven next to the fridge. On the rightmost wall is a black drink machine. A lion with a flaming mane is snoozing on top of it.
Josuke finds himself in front of an open metal door in this dark area, which leads into a hall.

Josuke walks past the metal door and walks down the hall
The kitchen of oddities only gets stranger as Shotaro notices the sleeping lion on the machine. He freezes in place for a moment. He then slowly creeps his way across the room, inspecting the mice on his way to the drink machine.
Josuke finds himself at an intersection. Ahead is a sturdy vault door, while to his left and right are open doorways.
The mice are very fresh, and the cooked ones even have a little seasoning on them. How delicious. The vending machine is black and scratched up, but a keypad allows for both letters and numbers to be typed.
Josuke silently goes down the left path knowing that he's not alone
Josuke finds himself in some sort of lab. Vials of various liquids line the tables, and there are some papers scattered on a desk. On the far wall are some sturdy metal bars.
"Well I suppose they belong to this guy..."
Shotaro whispers before looking up to the lion and does the next logical thing.
"Nya~! Nyaaaan~!"
Shotaro softly meows at the lion as he poses like a cat. Attempting to rouse the beast as kindly as possible.
Josuke goes over to the desk and looks at the papers
The fire-maned lion yawns and opens an eye. For a few awkward moments, it just stares at Shotaro... Then it gathers its paws beneath it and springs down towards him!
The papers are littered with messy writing and random equations, but one thing stands out. Mostly because it's circled in an open book: "To calculate the digital root of a number, add all its digits together. Continue this process until only one digit remains."
"Hmm, this seems important."
Josuke rips the page out of the book then walks over to the metal bars, examining them
Shotaro jumps back as the lion hops down.
"Good morning! Nice to meetcha, kitty cat! My name is Shotaro Hidari. I'm not here to cause any trouble."
Shotaro grabs one of the cooked mice and holds it out to the beast.
"I just want to know if you've seen anything resembling a code. A number. Anything. And here, have a treat!"
Something bashes up against the steel bars, which pulse with a red light. The black-furred beast's pure white eyes narrow at Josuke. It gnaws at the bars, lashing its pointed tail. Its collar reads: "No. 229".
The lion growls... Then kicks the fridge door open with a hind leg. It huffs and snatches the mouse out of Shotaro's hand.
Josuke looks at the collar's number, then remembers what that paper said
"So, am I supposed to do what that paper told me to do with the numbers?"
Eito was walking down the street,humming a foreign song when he saw a rather large hole in the ground with a ladder.
"Hmm"
Eito looks at his watch.
"I've got the time for it."
As he climbed down,he got an annoyed look on his face and sarted mumbling.
"This is such a bad decision."
He sighs as he reaches the end of the ladder and steps down,one hand one on one of his kukris.
Josuke's only answer is No. 229's snarls.
Eito passes through the darkness, only guided by the small red lights floating around, and comes across an open metal door. Something moves off to his left...
Shotaro counts his fingers to make sure their all there. With a sigh of relief he flashes the lion a smile.
"Thanks for the tip!"
He moves towards the fridge again and opens it slowly.
"I'll take that as a yes."
Josuke quickly does the math and gets 4 as his answer
"So it's 4, now is there a keypad or something to enter in the number?"
He then looks around for a keypad
Taiga walks down the streets, eyes darting about as he ponders his latest foe. Lost in thought as he is the man nearly falls down into the staircase, barely catching himself and glancing at it curiously.
"Huh, some weird hole in the sidewalk? Sounds to me like we might be dealing with someone who doesn't want to be found... Maybe Earwig?"
With that Taiga sets off for whatever might be below them. Hands on a Gashat as he attempts to see what lies beyond. Wondering what exactly happens to be in this place.
Josuke finds nothing of the sort in here.
Shotaro, along with some chilled mice, finds a paper with the number 142 written on it.
Taiga finds the same open metal door Eito did. He feels as if he's being watched...
Eito sees Snipe enter.
"Oh,heya."
"I was about to explore this place."
"Wanna come with?"
Taiga looks over the younger man, he certainly should stick around. Guy seems the type to need help.
"Yeah I'll hang around, name's Taiga Hanaya. Pleasure to meet you... You feel like we're being watched?"
Taiga would smile at Eito for a moment in greeting. Followed by looking around the room, trying to pinpoint where that feeling is coming from... And what's making it.
"One....four....two? Wait a second!"
Shotaro runs over to the keypad on the drink machine.
"If I'm right then this should work."
Shotaro proceeds to punch in the numbers on the keypad before hitting enter.
*Sigh* "There's probably something in that other room."
Josuke walks over to the other room
"Kinda."
"I think I saw something move over to the left."
"So that's where i'll be going."
Eito strats walking over to the left corridor,kukri out of it's sheath.
As the two step out of the black abyss and into the hall, they run into Josuke. They also notice a large metal vault door ahead...
The machine beeps, then a black snake head pops out of the nozzle. "Clever... May as well give you this hint." It ducks back into the machine and comes out with a slip of paper saying "Digital Root."
Eito suddenly stops and and gets into a combat stance.That is,until he sees tha Josuke is just a normal person.
"Huh.Guess we weren't the first to reach this place."
Shotaro grabs the slip of paper and eyes it curiously. He offers a nod to the snake.
"Thank you, snake friend!"
His eyes go wide for a moment.
"EH!? YOU CAN TALK?!"
He coughs softly and regains his composure before reading the slip.
"Digital Root? Sounds like something from math class..."
He slumps his head.
"Ah mou....I need to tag out for this one Philip. What's this Digital Root business?"
The man then goes quiet as if he were intently listening to someone.
Josuke turns to Eito and Snipe
"Yup, now are you guys here to explore too?"
"Basically."
*Shrug*
. Taiga holsters the Gashat in a moment, looking over at Jousuke curiously.
"Oh just a person eh? Guess that we aren't the only crazy explores or something. Taiga Hanaya, I'm down here looking for someone. Yourself?"
Taiga smiles at Jousuke, glad to see that it's not some new foe. The vault door on the other hand is interesting...
Maybe some firepower could open it?
The snake retreats into the machine. Meanwhile, the lion is nearly done with its meal...
Everyone is having a nice chat. How cute. Taiga takes note of the keypad by the door.
"I'm just here to explore, just like I said."
Josuke looks over at the vault door but pays attention to the keypad
"What if I.."
He enters a 4 into the keypad

The keypad has numbers from 0 to 9, as well as an "enter" key. The display screen has room for only one number, for some reason.
A strange noise comes from the left hallway's room. Did something happen in the lab from that input?

Eito walks over to the vault door and knocks on it.
"Pretty tough."
"Did any of you bring any explosives?"
Josuke hears the noise and runs over to the left room
Shotaro nods silently.
"So it's seven? Alright. We have our code, Philip!"
Shotaro walks over to the lion before leaving and offers another cooked mouse.
"Hey pal! Thanks for the help! Sorry about waking you up. But enjoy the mice, okay?"
With a quick smile, Shotaro turns and jogs out of the room. Returning to the intersection.
Shotaro joins the party! ...Also, Burning Leo is content.
Josuke is greeted with the sound of breaking glass. The black beast from earlier is out and about, and has made short work of the place. It gnaws on a graduated cylinder, making small growls.
Taiga glances over as Shotaro appears, for some reason he's hopeful this guy knows how to get past the door.
"Oi, you got a code for this keypad or something? I can probably take the door down the hard way if needed. But it's better to save the ammo."
Josuke just casually stands there as he looks at the beast
"Great, it's out of the cage. Now, should I attack it or try to tame it?"
The fluffy beast looks up from its now-broken chew toy. It lets out a bark that echoes down the hall and bounds towards Josuke.
Shotaro eyes the doctor up and down as he speaks.
"A doctor huh? A lot of those these days."
He grins and adjusts his hat.
"And yes. I do happen to have the code in my posession. The trump card always comes to me."
Left unaware of the events transpiring in the other room,
Shotaro approaches the keypad and punches in the number 7. After doing so, he realises that something was going on in the other room as the bark echoes through the hall. Shotaro doesn't hit enter and instead runs towards the source.
"Ah mou!"

"What would Jotaro say in this situation, oh right, good grief."
His stand, Crazy Diamond, appears next to him and punches the beast when it's close enough
Crazy D: DORARA!
The number just sits there on the display screen. Someone should probably press enter...
The beast stops at the punch... Then starts gnawing on Crazy Diamond's fist. It's nothing compared to the pain, but Josuke feels slightly weaker after that punch. Shotaro gets a nice look at Fluffy, too.

Eito gets an anxious look on his face.
"So to recap,we are underground,in a dark chamber and just heard a bunch of noises from the other room."
"Lovely.Just fucking lovely."
"Also!"
Eito hits the enter button.
"What could go wrong?"

Josuke grabs his hand in pain
"What?! It can see my stand?! Hmph, whatever."
Crazy D then punches the beast with his other hand
The vault door opens. Good job. Beyond this is some sort of catwalk...
The beast responds by biting down on the other invisible hand. It seems to just be biting at wherever the hit came from.
Crazy D gets his fist out of the beast's mouth, then tries to hit the beast with a flurry of punches
Crazy D: (Insert a whole paragraph of DORARARA here)
Eiro looks over to the direction where he hears fighting.
"Guys!Vault's open!We could just go now!"
"Guys?"
The battle goes on.
"Fuck."
Eito unsheaths his second kukri and runs into the battle.
Poor Eito.
Fluffy here seems more annoyed than hurt. With a mighty bark, it leaps forward.
Shotaro sees the beast get hit by an invisible force.
"Okay...you seem to be fine..."
Shotaro eyes the beast warily before making his next move.
"Alright. Let's go everyone!"
The man quickly throws open his coat and grabs several USB drives from his left. With his free arm he reaches for several small devices from his right. He presses the buttons on the USB drives, causing them all to call out.
BAT!
STAG!
FROG!
He slots the USB drives into a camera, a cell phone, and a small speaker respectively. They all begin to whir to life as they take on the appearance of the critters they're associated with.
"Bat Shot, flash him a couple times! Stag Phone, grab Frog Pod and keep him out of that thing's reach! Frog Pod, be a general annoyance to the beast!"
The machines get to work. And the frog seems to be using Shotaro's voice to continuously say...
"I'm as hard-boiled as it gets!"
"This is a waste of my time."
He takes out a comb and combs his hair while Crazy D disappears
The distraction works like a charm. Within moments, the beast is chasing the frog around, barking loudly.
Eito goes to the beast's side while it it is distracted by Josuke fighting it and Shotaro being a general annoyance.
"Take THIS!"
Eito,somewhat sloppily attempts to slash the beast twice.
Shotaro goes to get everyone out of the room before anyone else could attack the beast...but he was too slow.
"Ah mou! Quickly! Everyone out of here and back to that big door! NOW!"
His voice gives little room for anyone to oppose his words.
"I'll distract it. You all need to get to safety!"
Shotaro begins signalling at Bat Shot to give another couple flashes to cover the escape.
Taiga rushes out of the room, he'd considered getting into this game himself. But Shotaro seems to have things well in hand.
"Oi! You better not get yourself killed or anything! I'm a doctor after all so I can't allow harm to befall people without doing anything. Anyways, you can count on me to keep things from going too badly!"
And with that he waves the others into the vault door,
hopefully he's not going to regret leaving the detective alone... But the rest need to get out, sooner rather than later.
The strike only bounces off the beast's skin. It opens its jaws towards its attacker, but looks around wildly as Bat Shot flashes again.
Through the vault door is a catwalk, leading to a circlular platform. A staircase winds down towards the ground below.
Jouske walks out of the room and into the vault room
"Hmm, seems we've got two pathways... But I'm curious about that catwalk."
Taiga examines the catwalk, trying to see how sturdy the thing is before he commits to walking across it. No sense rushing in right?
"Damnit."
Eito looks between the door and Shotaro.
"No way bro.I've only been here for a little while and i'm not about to let someone die."
Eito weakly attempts to drag to Shotaro the door.
The catwalk sways slightly, but its sturdy frame keeps its occupant from tipping it too much.
"Actually, I'm gonna go. I'll see you guys later."
Josuke leaves
Shotaro is startled by the act of heroism.
"I appreciate the sentiment, kid. I like your style."
He frees himself from Eito's grasp and continues to follow him.
"However, I've fought worse. Let's leave it at that, shall we?"
As the pair leave the room, Shotaro looks to close that room off after giving the Memory Gadgets enough time to escape.
The door closes, leaving a very baffled beast behind... It'll be there a while. Maybe. Hopefully.
Eito huffs a little bit.
"So...What now?"
"Oh you two are alright, geez wasn't expecting you to stick around Eito."
Taiga casually greets them before walking across to the platform, it's good to see the boy is willing to stick around...
But, he really should learn when to fold em.
"Anyways, I guess we keep going for now? Not gonna lie, I'm a little uncomfortable fighting some animal... Let's just say my skill set is pretty lethal when it comes to fighting."
With that the Gamer Doctor closely examines whatever is on this platform, hopefully he'll find something useful.
The platform is empty, save for a single red button. Other platforms can be seen scattered around the room.
Eito tilts his head to the side and with partially closed eyes,givin Taiga a certain look.
"The fuck does that mean?"
Shotaro breathes a sigh of relief as he returns to the now open vault door.
"Poor thing. It probably just wanted to play. It seemed lonely."
He frowns a bit as he takes the USB drives from the gadgets. All except Frog Pod.
"Frog Pod, you should head back. Thanks for your help today."
The frog jumps up and turns before hopping towards the exit.
"Hey doc! Take care of the kid. There's something I need to investigate!"
With that he'd head off back to the exit in search of something.
OOC: Sleep. The answer is sleep. Sorry I couldn't see this through to the end.
"What it means? It means I'll take down anything that tries to hurt us... But only if I need to, if it can be avoided I prefer not use violence at all. When I do? I don't mess around."
Taiga examines the button as he speaks, checking for any cables or something it might be connected to. As Shotaro leaves he nods to the man in agreement, hopefully it won't come to that. But Kamen Rider Snipe isn't about to let someone get hurt.
The button is connected straight to the platform. Any wiring is underneath the metal surface.
"Hmm... Well, I guess Emu or Parad would say to go ahead and use it. Seems like some video game puzzle don't ya think?"
With that he'd press the Damm button. It seems unlikely to do anything too horrible... He's still ready to transform regardless.
At the press of a button, the catwalk begins to move. No, the whole platform does. Once it's rotated about 180 degrees, it stops, letting the catwalk connect this platform and the next.
"That's not what I meant."
Eito is now very obviously irritated.
"You said that you didn't expect me to stick around."
"Do you think i'm a coward or something?"
Taiga grins to himself and walks across to the next one, seems as though it really is like a game... Hah, who'd have thought it'd be that simple? Oh well, it'll surely get harder. So best not to get complacent. From the he looks back towards Eito, sighing as he realizes how the boy took it.
"Not especially, haven't known you long enough to say something like that. But from the way you fight I'm guessing you don't have any screwball tech or magic powers right? Mr Hard Boiled was pretty obviously more than he seemed. Sometimes it's best to let people deal with things themselves, pick your battles ya know?"

The next platform is like the other, but doesn't have a button. What to do...
"Might as well not delay this any more. Isolating the test subjects was necessary in the end."
As a voice speaks from below, something zooms by in a strong gust of wind, leaving a small cut on Eito's cheek.
Eito's eyes widen as he takes a step back.
"What.The.Hell?"
"What in the hell!? Tch, if you want to fight then I'll be your enemy!"
An electronic voice screams from a belt under the man's coat.
LET'S GAME!
MECCA GAME!
MUCHA GAME!
WHATCHA NAME!?
I'M A KAMEN RIDER!
With that Taiga draws something like a game cartridge and points it towards the direction of the wind, holding the thing like a pistol as he slams back on a button. A hologram with the words Bang Bang Shooting in large yellow lettering appears behind him, barrels spreading themselves through the area. As a blue hologram about Taiga's size appears in front of him, the man quickly rolling through it a vanishing before he reappears. His lab coat replaced by a navy blue and green suit of armor, a green cape hanging down off his neck. The man's face is now covered by a helmet, a targeting visor can be seen on it along with the letters STG. Finally, a large handgun now rests in his hands that he points towards the wind while stepping in front of Eito.
"Alright, now I'm ready for action. Hopefully we can deal with this quickly. And whatever you do, stay behind me got it?"
The wind blows back to the platform, forming into a green tornado. Floating in the center of the green vortex is a ferret-like creature with long scythe-like blades for front paws. It raises its blades and charges forward in a strong gust, aiming to strike its enemies' legs.
Eito takes another step back upon witnessing this.
"First of all:What the fuck?"
"Second of all:I knew I should have brought a gun along but didn't exactly plan on all of this happening so I just brushed the feeling off.So yeah,I kinda gimped myself."
"Didn't you hear the belt? I'm a Kamen Rider."
Snipe rather then try to dodge attempts to slam his legs in the way of it. Aiming to both take hit for Eito and hopefully stun it for a moment with the impact. If it works or not, he'd quickly take aim and try to blast a few rounds into the center of his foe's back.
With this shift in its target, only one of its blades sinks into Snipe's leg, while its other foreleg bounces off harmlessly due to the blade missing its mark. It screeches and recoils at the shots, shooting upwards with a strong gust.
"Yeah,listen pal:i'm kinda new here so I sorta,kinda,maybe have no idea what the fuck that is."
"Also,you should probably try to dodge the next one."

Snipe's Rider gauge drops to 95%, one strike to one leg isn't going to do much to him after all.
"You would be amazed how much I can take, that stings a bit. But I've fought way worse, anyways to sum up. We're basically Superheroes if that means anything, the methods vary. But every Kamen Rider uses a suit of armor which gives us strength speed and toughness beyond normal humans. Mine for example, are based on FPS video games. Thus the guns."
In spite of giving exposition, Snipe is still taking aim at his foe. He presses a button down and the pistol becomes a rifle, his visor lighting up as he tracks the thing into the air.
Once he thinks there's a clear shot the man would pull back the trigger and watch 4 shots fly towards his foe's chest.
The weasel's blades deflect some of the shots, but it's impossible for it to not take some damage. It snarls and forms its wind into another tornado, using this spinning vortex to dive at the two like a drill.
Eito smirks.
"Video games huh?Now that I can work with."
"I've got an idea."
"Now I may be taking this video game stuff to it's logical extreme but it seems pretty obvious when you think of it."
"Stand still."
"Wait for it to come to us and then move to the side at the last moment."
"At it's angle it'll probably hit the floor if it misses us.When that happens,I want you to unload on the little shit."
OOC:wait,snipe responded first so do I delete this and go with what happens in his post?

"Hmm... I like this idea yeah! Let's take it and run with it."
Snipe stands and stares at the thing, a smirk crossing his face the man prepares to dodge. At the last second he'd dart off the side in a blur, tossing all his inhuman speed into this one motion. Assuming he succeeded the man would then point down at his hopefully stunned foe, blasts flying from his gun aimed straight at the thing's head. If he failed however, Snipe simply backs away and tries to take a single shot as it flees.
OOC: Nah, I deleted my post and ran with the idea.

The beast slams into the floor, nicking Eito with its blades. Stunned, it's a sitting duck for Snipe's bullets. It screeches and dissolves into shadow...
"Approaching energy threshold for Kamen Rider Snipe. Next step..."
Indeed, Snipe feels a little drained. The catwalk moves again, connecting to a platform off to the left.
ooc: must temporarily vanish for a quick errand. My apologies.

"Oi, you okay over there or do I need to patch you up? I know a thing or two about field medicine, even if I am a radiologist."
With that the man's suit vanishes, in spite of feeling slightly off Taiga has delt with far worse. It's nothing against using Kamen Rider Chronos after all. From there he'd walk off towards the next area, moving slowly enough for Eito to easily follow.
OOC: Understandable, it's pretty late over there so that's for the best.
Eito grunts a bit before stretching.
"I've felt worse."
He looks down at his wound.
"Though I wouldn't turn down any disinfectant."
Taiga nods and reaches into his coat, he's got a small bottle of the stuff on him after all. The man pours some onto a rag and quickly does his work, cleaning it out as best he can on the fly.
"Alright, it should be fine as long as you don't expose it to anything, blah blah doctor speech. I'm sure you've heard that before so whatever, let's just be glad it's only a scrape right?"
"Yeah."
"Thanks doc,I don't know if you've looked around us but if it wasn't for you I would have totally gotten Tetanus."
"It also just came to me that I never asked for your name."
"No big deal, it's my job to help people out if I can right? Oh and yeah, Taiga Hanaya. Technically I could call myself a Computer Rescue Center doctor, but I doubt that means anything to you?"
Taiga smiles and offers the boy a handshake, seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders. Not many people would have been thinking during that fight after all, hmm. Too bad he can't use a Gashat.
ooc: A quick update since I have a smol opening

Up ahead is... nothing. At least, until a black tail puts a scratched-up vending machine onto the platform. The scaly appendage taps the keypad, typing something in...
Eito extends his hand ang gives Taiga a handshake.
"Eito Arai.Pleasure to know you."
"Likewise, you seem decent enough and..."
Taiga cuts himself off as he spots whatever is at the vending machine, he's not sure what it is... So he raises his voice and attempts to communicate.
"Oi, you using that thing for a reason or what? Anyways, I was wondering if you could tell us something about this place. It seems pretty interesting, but who built it? And, does the name Earwig mean anything?"

Eito gets a somewhat sympathetic look on his face.
"Yeah,we uh kinda need a little info about this place."
ooc: I return... although I'm planning on ending things soon. But sleep well, my friend. I've had to leave threads because of sleep quite often as well, so I understand.

The tail hovers over the "enter" key.
"Hm... Earwig... I have heard that name in passing. But I shall tell you more soon, ryn agn. First, I need to test something..."
The word "henshin" is entered, and the machine whirrs to life. The entire contraption breaks up and forms into a humanoid snake-headed robot.

"Oh so you want me to fight that thing huh? Well then, I'll oblige you. Second tactic time!"
With that the man quickly blurs through his transformation, lvl2 Shooting Gamer standing before the robot with a smirk under the mask. Rather than summoning his gun, Snipe darts towards his foe and quickly sends a kick into it's chest. A few tons of force slamming into the thing should stun it a bit... Hopefully, if not? He'll have to kick it up a notch.
The kick leaves a dent in the Snake Rider's chest. The voice from below mutters something, as if he's taking notes down there.
"Initiating defensive maneuvers." The Snake Rider skids back, then plants a foot into the ground. It raises its fists, letting them retract in favor of wrist-mounted nozzles.
Snipe stares at the nozzles... For some reason he doesn't like those, and just denting it isn't exactly leaving a great feeling. Instead he quickly summons his pistol and draws Jet Combat from his belt, quickly slamming it into a slot on his pistol, an electronic voices yells out.
KIMEWAZA! JET CRITICAL FINISH!
Suddenly the pistol glows for a moment before a large bullet shaped like a shooting target rushes through the air, it flies at jet speed and is aimed at impaling one of his foe's arms and nozzles. Hopefully tearing the right side off, or at least damaging it badly.
The shot hits the nozzle dead on, and rips out through the robot's elbow. Sparks of electricity and some blood come from the wound.
"Redirecting flow... Input: Chaos Soda."
Going off the first thing in its memory banks, the Snake Rider's other nozzle fires out a concentrated stream of green liquid. Hopefully, this would send Snipe towards the platform's edge.
He runs away, getting pushed back to the edge with ease... And then quickly leaps off while swapping Shooting out for the Jet Combat he'd just used as a finisher. The man returns to normal, and transforms again mid fall. The same suit forming, sans the fact it now has a pilot helmet.. And a bigger plate of armor on his chest, a jet pack strapped to the back burning under him as Snipe flies upwards. He aims a newly formed pair of miniguns towards the robot and fires a dozen shots towards his foe or so, sadly even he can't exactly aim these weapons effectively so the blasts simply fly in the general area rather then being aimed well, quantity over quality.
"Input: TrYuth Soda. Changing to offensive strategy."
The Snake Rider turns its hand to normal, then lashes its tail, turning it into its nozzle form. Despite the bullets, a golden, sparkly drink of trYuth fires out of the tail, sending the Snake Rider upwards to mitigate the damage. This boost sends the Rider up to Snipe's level.
"Redirecting flow in 3... 2..."
The nozzle-hand forms again.
Taiga darts downwards as the thing flies up, aiming to land himself under the robot and yet again swap his Gashat.
"Okay, I've toyed with your little bot long enough. But now it's time to go for mission clear!"
He'd then draw an oddly large Gashat with a dial showing two games. Taiga turns it to Bang Bang Simulations and slams it into his Driver in an instant. A large suit if armor with cannons all over it would appear around him at that point. From there he pulls the Driver open and all the guns gather light while moving directly towards his foe, Snipe's targeting visor locking on before a barrage of powerful energy shots blasts from the guns. Rushing upwards to slam into his foe from below with pinpoint accuracy, under his mask Taiga smirks as he watches the shots fly. This should do the job after all.
"Input: Molten La-"
The poor snake doesn't even get to finish its sentence. The shots tear into its metal body, sending it hurtling downwards- and right into Taiga's strike. Lava bursts out of its body as it falls to the ground, twitching.
A large, black snake head rises up from under the platform. Its three yellow eyes narrow in disgust. "Yet another failed creation..."
"I wouldn't call it totally failed, not everything can stand up to a level 3 finisher ya know. If it had lived through that attack... Well, I can go further. But I'm not totally comfortable with that power quite yet, so good show pushed me to strongest thing I'm experienced with!"
Taiga's voice sounds friendly, in spite of this he's not willing to go normal yet. The snake doesn't seem hostile... But better safe than sorry.
"Anyways, you said you'd heard something about that Earwig jackass?"
"Bits here and there. I get most of my information through the embers from the Nexus above."
As the snake speaks, a black tail sweeps the red-hot machine off the platform.
"Although I suppose that was a feat... not good enough, though. I strive for perfection in my final results. I could have saved it by keeping that Limit Law in this area, but I supposed a challenge for my vending machine would be beneficial."
"Hmm, yeah I get the idea. No way to get better without knowing where you stand right? So what's the deal here anyways? You seem pretty laid back for a snake that does mad science, it's pretty refreshing actually. Most people I've met who deal in this kinda stuff would have started screaming about being god or something by now."
The snake laughs, although there's something off about it. Probably the slight hiss with each breath.
"That would probably be more fitting of Typhoeus, another failed creation. He currently inhabits a bird, for all his big talk. A bird. I have great power here, in this void under the Nexus, yet I consider myself a great mind, not a great god."

"And you..."
The snake's three yellow eyes narrow at Eito.
"I'm surprised one such as yourself was willing to endanger yourself. Very interesting... I could make use of this..."
Eito's eyes widen before getting a somewhat angry look
"While I appreciate the compliment,I will unfortunately have to uh,decline your..."
Eito seems to take a moment to think of what words to use.
"Gracious offer."
"Understandable. I was just analyzing your potential as a test subject..."
The snake closes its eyes. The world shifts around them, until their platform is in a small white room with the catwalk attached to a metal door.
"You know where to find me if you wish to meet me again."
Eito tilts his head to the side.
"Where to find you?"
"The hole in the floor?"
"Exactly. Now, if you wish to return home... go right ahead."
The snake flicks a tail, and the door opens to reveal the staircase from earlier.
"But won't someone eventually realise the risk and just close it up?"
"Well, they could... But I could always find another distortion to use to break through the ground. You probably won't miss it."
The snake seems to shrug.
"I suppose I could put up a temporary sidewalk replacement to minimize that risk..."
Eito shrugs.
"Well,okay."
"Sooo..."
"What's your name?"
"H'Drys is my name, ov agn." The snake bows, closing its three eyes.
"So,i'm not sure if this is gonna be offensive to you or something but I have to ask."
Eito scratches the back of his head.
"What are you?"
H'Drys tilts his head, trying to think of an answer.
"An... enigmatic serpent, to say the least."
With that, he chuckles and ducks under the platform once more.
Eito attempts to run after H'Drys.
"Wait!I wanted to learn more!"
*Sigh*
"Whatever.See ya later,I guess."
Eito began walking,towards the door,wondering when the good doctor would leave.
Eito's departure is uninterrupted. The stairway climbs upwards to the outside world. Small red lights illuminate the steps, floating around like fireflies.
"I wonder what this place really is."
"For all I know,this place could be an entirely different fucking reality."
Eito smiled as he finally reacted the top of the stairway and exited "The Void" as he called it.
"Heh."
"I guess that's a question for another time."
And he walked away.
