Half High Schooler, Half Shadow Hunter
It was a simple day in japan, everyone had hopes about the rumors of an american transfer student were false, but some people wanted a natural american at their school. At the school gates people had entered just to talk with one another only a few people hadn’t entered. The American transfer rumors were true it seems, he was new just today. He didn’t talk at all but word spread like wild fire “There goes my life,†One person said “He’s weird†Another said “Will he even talk?†Another asked. People eventually stepped away from him as the first bell rang. He walked into his classroom and got comfortable. His hair was dark brown and his uniform matched the school’s he had black eyes and he constantly smirked. A bit after the first class it was lunchtime, “I didn’t bring anything to eat…†The american mumbled to himself “Maybe i’ll see if I can make some friends…†He mumbled again walking up to the roof as he saw someone, he decided to greet them “Hi!†The american said hoping that he’d talk to him.
(Note: In this i’ll play the role of the American, anyone can join as long as they have their character fit with the tone and setting of the roleplay)
The older kid on the roof’s Lavender hair makes them stand out quite a bit. He’s leaning on a wall near the staircase, and slowly turns his head at the sound of the American’s voice. The other student sighs
“Must be pretty desperate if you’re coming up here. Or maybe you just don’t know better.â€
He takes a closer look at the American, before turning back to look off the rooftop
“You’re that new kid, aren’t ya? That’d explain an awful lot.â€
The glasses-wearing teen was listening to music on his headphones.
"You'll never see it coming!..."
Interrupted by the transfer student,he'd look them up and down,as if sizing them up.
"Well,Gamma's right."
"You don't really come up here to make friends if you have any other options."
Eito smirks.
"And as I guessed,you probably don't have any other options."

Ooc: I made this character an American too, so can I join?
(Yes your character can be an American as well Jiya)
The American transfer looked slightly worried...
"Well no, I don't have other options everyone shuns me." He said with a look of regret even heading to the roof.
"I can go if that's what you want..." The American stepped back slightly hoping this'd be quick and simple so that nobody would get hurt or in trouble.
The new kid, instead of wearing his smirk wears a look of worry, he knows he stepped into the wrong part of the school at the wrong time.
Eito smirks,clearly amused.
"I'm just fucking with you,though the part about options is true."
The teen re-adjusts his glasses as he walks towards the American Student and extends his hand.
"Name's Eito Arai."
The American has a look of relief in his face.
"Well you sure got me with that one..." He states smiling
The American set his hand in Eito's and shook his hand
"Dune Bishop." He said, smiling setting his hand out of Eito's and scratching his neck "So, I could use a bit of help learning the ropes socially." Dune admits
He looks around "This rooftop doesn't look very safe... Someone could easily jump off." He says looking at the low fences that exist to 'stop people'
"So... Is there anything I need to be alert about here? Like any rumors that I should avoid and all?" Dune asks Eito looking curious.
Ooc: Alright then.
Ic: Another student who looks like he's in his 2nd year walks onto the roof, carrying a black book in his right hand with his head down. He then looks up and notices the transfer student with Eito and another student with lavender hair that he doesn't know that well
"Well, its time to make a new friend, I guess."
He walks up to the group and looks at the transfer student
"Hey, aren't you that transfer student from America?"
"Someone HAS jumped off."
Eito shrugs as if this was something completely casual.
"They lived but still,what a controversy that was."
"Didn't let us come up here for two months!"
"Anyway,as for rumors,you're gonna have to be a little more specific."
"About you,about rumored persons,about anything really."
Dune looks at him "Yeah, name's Dune Bishop, pleasure's mine." Dune says in a mockingly formal voice.
"To think that i'd make friends on my first day... I thought it'd take me a week... Or longer, what with all the people getting mad at me... My teacher hates me as well..." Dune admitted happily seeing that he has some new friends
Dune looks at his friends "But when I was on my way here I heard other rumors, about people just, dying for no reason they drop dead. Of course it's probably just a rumor but people say it only happens at midnight."
Looking around Dune had a thought If those rumors are true... How would anyone stop them?
Dune merely is looking off into space, it looks awful strange.
"People dying for no reason?"
"Oh yeah,I know that one."
"Supposedly,after a girl had a joyride with a couple deadly weapons a decade or two back,a bunch of students died."
"They say that all their resentment made them take new,horrible forms and that they now roam the halls at midnight,searching for a killer long imprisoned."
"They brutally execute whoever they see,regardless of race,gender or status."
"I think it's all bullshit."
"As for the deaths,there have only been one or two,probably emo kids who took it too far."
"What do you think about it,Jiyu?"
"Hey man, it was the same for me when I transferred here a few months ago. I thought that I'd never fit in with the rest of the Japanese students but I was wrong."
Jiyu has a concerned look on his face after hearing Dune mention something about people dying
"People dying for no reason? Who did you hear these rumors from anyway?"
Jiyu turns his head to Eito
"I've never heard anything about these strange deaths before."

Eito smirks once again.
"Yeah,well,you have actual worthwile things to do."
"I just dwell around and listen to rumors when I have nothing else to do."
"Sometimes the rumors hold truth too,you'd be surprised how much a little secret is worth to the right people."
"So I listen to everything,just in case."
"Anyway,the deaths happened on summer break,so you'd have to actually look for any info to know anything."

"Well I heard them from the usual places you hear rumors, the gossip group." Dune says smiling
"I think it's bullshit as well, even this being my third day in Japan, I know bullshit when I hear it."
"People fall for it because it's putting a dollar in front of them, they do anything for a higher up in society."
Dune stops with a stare of awkwardness... "Wait... Japan uses yen..." Dune said looking worried "I'm dead broke..." He said worried but then switched to normal
"I can fix that later..."
"Eito, Jiyu. I assume you both can help me with what to expect from Jap--"
Dune stopped his sentence as he grabbed his head "Uggggh." He groaned.
Soon enough he's normal again "Hate when that happens..." Dune says looking at his friends.
"Yeah,well,in whatever country you go,you can always count on one thing."
"Competitive bitches in high schools."
"As for your money situation...I'll uh..."
"I guess I can ask a friend if he'll get you a job."
Raising one of his eyebrows,Eito steps closer and puts his hand on Dune's shoulder.
"You okay?"
"What even was that?"
"Uhh, is that supposed to be normal?"
Jiyu just blankly stares at Dune
Dune looks nervous "I'm sorry I worried you, I occasionally hear voices in my head..." Dune states
"They say weird things like: Unleash and Shadow, I don't listen to them," Due says
"You prolly think i'm insane as shit now, I probably am to be honest..." Dune states looking at his friend...
"I'll find out the meaning of those damn voices soon." Dune says
"They occur once a week I learned..." Dune says looking at Eito and Jiyu. "I don't intend on them ruining my life." Dune says as he smiles at his friends feeling a sense of trust coming from them.
OOC: Eito - Magician. Jiyu - Chariot. It seems logical
"Thanks, and I really owe you one for being my friend..." Dune smiles but he's interrupted by the first bell, warning the students. "Here's my contact info... I'll have my ring off in class so text me as you please." Dune says giving the two business cards with just a phone number on it.
"Those rumors could be true..." Dune mumbles "Eh, i'm probably crazy..." He mumbles again entering his classroom and sitting down.
Dune looked around, some eyes were on him. Others at the teacher, and a few at the pages of a textbook. Dune tried looking at a textbook, but it was in full Japanese. He didn't understand a fraction of it.
Ooc: I made Jiyu have the Justice arcana.
Ic: "Unleash and shadow?"
Jiyu's eyes widen as he remembers hearing those same voices before getting his persona. But he says nothing about it since he want to keep his persona a secret
"That sounds weird, maybe we could help you figure out why you hear those voices."
OOC:I made Eito nothing,since he doesn't have a Persona Yet.
"See ya."
Eito walks down the stairs and goes to class.The same one Dune went to.They even sit next to each other.
"Well then..."
Seeing him stare at the textbook in confusion,Eito takes pity on him and starts translating.
"I don't mean to be rude,but why did you transfer here if you don't know Japanese?"
Also seeing the stares Dune gets from some students,he glares at them,temporarily averting most's gazes and literally hissing at the one next to them who didn't stop.
"Fucking Kumiko."
Of course,in the time it took him to hiss at the nosey student and then go back to helping Dune,all the others went back to staring.
Jiyu quietly follows Eito and Dune without saying a word
"..."
"I had no choice... I actually can't remember... One minute I was in a police car, the next in a plane and then bam, Japan." Dune says thinking really hard as to why he transferred. "I heard it was something about... I think meeting diverse cultures..." Dune says confused at his story.
"Doesn't mean I totally forgot American life... It's pretty nice there, we make fun of Canada a lot..." Dune smiles
"So about those voices, they also kept talking about the midnight of fate..." Dune says looking around and starting to feel uncomfortable... "Ummmm they're looking again..." Dune says looking around the class.. "I think I understand this page anyway, thanks" Dune says as he gets a basic grasp of Japanese.
Grunting in indiffrence,Eito motions to the class.
"Fuck it,just ignore them."
"If they do anything more than this then come to me."
"I can just pay Masashi to kick their asses."
"By the way,Masashi's the 'boss' of the delinquents,because of course we have fucking delinquents here."
"Anyway,I wonder what it's like back in the good ol' USA."
Jiyu walks close to them and finally says something
"America used to be a good country, but then it just got shittier as the years passed."
"Yeah,went to shit a while back but I guess it sorta reached a tipping point when Cheeto Supreme was made president."
"Also,sit your ass down man,we're in class."
"Well to begin... School is usually a six hour slug-fest. Is it no different. Instead of delinquents we had jocks who ran under the coolest kids whim..."
Dune continued on "And finally, we don't have cool as hell game developers in America..." Dune finished just in time for the final bell of school, signifying people that they can go home. "Say, Eito, wanna hang out. I could use a quick walk before I get to my apartment through that dumb monorail."
"Who knows. Maybe I could walk there..." Dune contemplates getting out of his seat and walking to the first floor (Their class is on the second floor) and to the doors of the school. Opening them he felt happy.
"Alright so to celebrate my first day in Japan," He started talking with Eito "An all-nighter! It's Friday, so I have no shame... Do you?" Dune asks Eito now leaving the school "I say we head to a Sushi place! Or Ramen!" Dune says, overexcited at worst
Eito smirks,as he usually does.
"Hm."
"Sure,already got the week's homework done and I can do the rest quickly so why not?"
"It seems i'm gonna have to be the one paying,since you don't have any money."
He puts his hand on Dune's shoulder.
"As such,I get to choose the place."
"It's not far and it's got some good sushi."
"You coming,Jiyu?"
"Sure, why not? I don't have any plans for this Friday. ...Unless my mom tells me to do something at the last minute."
"Don' be such a suck up!" Dune says "I say we should meet up at 9, no later. Don't doze off or you'll be the joykill!" Dune states as he starts walking.
A Few Hours Later
Dune is waiting with Eito near Jiyu's place "What's taking him so long?" Dune asked as he yawned "Maybe he just is confirming with his mom." Dune confirms with himself
"So, what is the Sushi place?" Dune asks Eito curious, "Just to let you know, Fatty Tuna is my favorite..." Dune confirms to his friend.
"It's a small time place."
"Owner was born here in Tokyo."
"He really enjoyed sushi so he set about making it and making it good."
"He soon felt that he could do more in another country so he moved to the States."
"I'll spare you the details but the basics are:He stays for seven or eight years,meets a girl,gets married,has a kid,stays for another ten years then moves back here due to financial troubles."
"He started this little place a few neighborhoods away,doesn't make too much,but it's enough and his family is happy."
"His daughter actually goes to our school,I should introduce the two of you sometime."
Eito stops and breaths a bit from all the explaining.
"Oh,he's also my boss."

Jiyu runs out of his house wearing his casual black jacket and white headphones
"Sorry guys!"
He runs up to Eito and Dune
"I was trying to find my headphones."
"Oh that's okay, i'm ready for the fattest of fatty tuna!" Dune says smiling, basically dreaming about food. "I am so exci--" Dune gets cut off by the voices in his mind again "SHUT UP!" Dune says slapping his head.
"Fucking voices I tell you..." Dune says "I'm sorry if i'm being an inconvenience to you guys."
"I just don't wanna miss this!" Dune says as the clock strikes 11:58 "My god it's close to midnight..." Dune says as he looks at his watch and hopes to start walking soon. "Soon it'll be midnight and th--" Dune stops as the clock reaches Midnight. everything changes (Like in the Dark Hour) "What the hell?" Dune asks looking at Eito and Jiyu,
"What the fuck?"
Eito starts looking all around him in suspicion.
"Everything just changed..."
Dune looks around and he sees the full moon shining brightly green
"The moon isn't supposed to be green..."
"Wha-"
Jiyu worriedly looks around at his surroundings
"W-What's going on?!"
"I don't know..."
Dune looked worried and worry turned to panic
"WHAT THE FUCK I THAT!?" He yelled as a strange black creature oozed along the ground to them with a blue mask on like phantom of the opera's mask.
Soon the creature turned into a weird demon like thing that was indescribable. "What the hell?" Dune asked
In a fit of panic,Eito draws a knife from his boot.
"Oh fuck no!"
He steps towards the Creature.
Jiyu stares at the creature
"No way... What are they doing in the real world?!"
The creature sees the knife and instantly shoots a spray of an acidic looking goop at the three Dune gets hit directly and cries out in a fit of pain
Eito rolls under the spray.
"HOLY SHIT!"
"This is not what I expected to use my training on!"
The teen sprints towards the Creature and goes to stab it,only to dash to the left quickly and attack from there.
Jiyu tightly closes his eyes while clenching both of his fists after dodging the goop
"Come on Jiyu, you can do it..."
A blue light surrounds him
The creature barely seems phased by the attack
"What the fuck..." Dune says
"Eito! Get back!" Dune yells afterward,
"We shou--" Dune gets cut off by the voices, but this time he's on the ground still in pain
"NO I WON'T LISTEN!!!" Dune yells to the voices in his head.
"OH FUCK THIS!"
Eito simply breaks off and runs behind the other two.
"EAT THEM FIRST!"
Jiyu's nose starts to bleed as the blue light glows stronger
"D-Dune, listen to it!"
"FINE!!" Dune says agreeing with his friend
Dune eventually stands up and pushes his friends behind him by force "I got this..." Dune says rudely.
"I am thou... Thou art I..." Dune begins "Thou hast acquired the bond of thy soul... The Persona..." Dune begins glowing a bright blue as a strange black creature appears above him. "Let's take 'em out." Dune says as the strange creature above him sways a pendulum and fire attacks the strange creature, knocking it out.
"Yeah,imma have to say no to this one pal."
"No offense."
The blue light fades away from Jiyu just as he sees the persona
"Just as I thought, you have a persona!"
As soon as Dune is confident he killed the creature he asks "Per - Sona?"
Dune seems just as shocked as he is amazed by this "What's a persona?"
Jiyu wipes the blood off of his nose
"A persona is a physical manifestation of your personality that can also be used as a weapon to aid you in battle. I have one too."
"So... The physical manifestation of me has to do with pendulums? Maybe i'm thinking on this too deeply..." Dune says as the day just appears.
"What the fuck?"
"It's just daytime now..."
OOC: I have things I need to do i'll continue it in a few Hours okay.
"Oh by the way, when you awaken your persona, you're supposed to get tired or something like that."
Jiyu looks around him
"Huh, it's daytime already?"
Ooc: Ok.
"Well that makes sense, I'm tired as shit..." Dune says nearly collapsing
The bright sun shined the area Dune got up. "Save the sushi for tomorrow... I'm going home..."
Dune walks away
"See ya, Dune!"
Jiyu walks back into his house, tired as well
