A Jolly Nyxmas: The Announcement
[People would have seen the flyers all over. The pamphlets would've been dropped at every door in the Nexus. On all the flyers and pamphlets it would be the same. Cult propaganda that uses vague language to describe an event of sorts. The name of this event was simply known as "The Fall". Besides the name of this event the only other information was that on December 21rst the harbinger of death would awaken to instruct the chosen on how to act. Today was that day and many people had gathered in the streets at a specified location. They were mainly cultists at first who had learned of the location of this harbinger of death and came in celebration. Others had begun to arrive as well though either out of interest of this event or curiosity. You all as well must've felt it either on the air or seen the flyers. The end is coming and all you can do is follow through until you reach it. So begins the celebration of Nyxmas ]
Quintus would be viewing the event from the outskirts of the crowd. He hadn't seen this many people gathered in one place and was feeling more nervous than usual. He would look around from time to time as if expecting something to happen. In a strange world like this he doubted a cult was just simply that and dreaded what a harbinger of death might be like.
The end of the world, huh? *Haruko crumpled up the pamphlet and throws it over her shoulder.* This feels like a situation that'll require some good guys.
Bona reads the pamphlet in surprise. We'll, this is kinda creepy but I might as well check it out. Hope I don't die.
A girl portals in What?..... where am I? ............. tch. This isn't where I want to be. She's definitely not here...... She picks up a flyer End of the world? Cult? ............... Guess it would help to meet them.... Maybe learn a bit more magic......... and maybe I'll come across some clues?
[A lone being with the wings of a birb would be watching the gathering with black holes in the place of its mouth and eyes. What would possibly only be described as a smiling face is formed out of these holes and gives of the look of complete indifference towards those it looks on. Despite this rather unsettling appearance the creature almost looks solemn as it looks down upon the cultists and their celebration of the death. ] "Is it really that time already...no, I know it's that time. I've felt it for a while. Oh well, guess I won't have any friends after this." [The being would ascend into the sky stretching it's mighty black wings across the area. It would begin soaring just above the crowds as they cheer in sheer joy while others just stand shocked or passively. ]
A young woman let out a deep sigh, with a shake of her head. She stood a good distance away from the crowd, trying to stay out of sight while still being able to glimpse the 'event'. Her right hand rested on her holstered revolver, the other holding the same flyer that was spread around. "Nonsense like this can never lead to good things..." She whispered to herself while reading over the flyer yet again. She had no interest in this 'end of the world' nonsense, but given the vibe of the propaganda, she came anyway to watch, and step in should anything happen.
*Haruko hears the cheering before looking up at the giant bird man....* Oh... my god.... *She takes out her phone and starts texting like mad. Her friends, those people from the sleep hotel... uh.... not her teacher, that'd be weird...*
What the........
A chill permeates the air as Fakelib steps out of the shadows and towards Quintus. The winged figure would get an impressed whistle and nothing else from the man. "Hey! If it isn't Quintus..." He looks back up at the figure as it soars. "You come to challenge the harbinger of death, hm? I fancy living myself." His cold eyes held contempt for the creature he gazed upon. "Just another god thinking they know what's best. Disgusting."
Quintus would just stare blankly at the large figure. It was like no being he had seen before and it's mere presence made him tremble but he couldn't tell if it was out of fear or something more primal than that. "T-that's death? Its...oddly exactly how I imagined it...so, finally I face you directly..." Quintus would notice the familiar man others would know as Fakelib. He'd quickly try to snap out of his gaze to respond. "Stop death? Isn't that like suicide? I don't know if I could do something like that..."

She walks over to a cultist Excuse me Cultist. Pray tell, what magic are you using to bring about the end? I would like full details regarding the nature and execution of this strange ritual.
The winged figure took to the skies as Saeko's attention returned to the crowd. As she looked at the size of the being rise, she took a few steps back in surprise, standing dumbfounded for a minute, before slinking back out of sight, to rub her temples. "I-I suppose I have drastically underestimated this situation..."
[Anon comes out of the shadows, holding one of the pamphlets.] End of the world, eh? Sounds like my kind of event.
*Upon hearing a loud commotion, Shino steps out from the cafe she was in* Great... I just had to go and jinx myself... Swell.
[Some of the cultist would turn to answer Sakura but would quickly be interrupted as the being itself begins speaking. It would speak in a almost indefinable tone. Many voices could be heard as it speaker and none seemed to show any real emotion. ] "I will answer all. Firstly, I must say that I have come of my own accord to deliver you, the people of the nexus, the word of the end. I am, in fact, the Avatar of the Goddess of the end, Nyx, and I am here to inform you that Nyx has chosen to soon initiate The Fall upon all life within this world."

The.... Fall? So pretty much the end of the world is gonna happen. You could've just said that out front.
YA CAN'T KILL SUCTION CUP MAN!
[Anon walks over to the main source of action and claps.] I wholeheartedly support this new Fall.
"You may be right. However, that would only be the case if you were alone in that fight." He adjusts his glasses and the glare obscures his eyes. "However that wouldn't be the case. See, I need all of you to stay alive. Otherwise, my efforts would amount to nothing. So to that end, I say we put our heads together and find a way to roast that turkey. Very festive, wouldn't you agree?" The glare fades as the man grins.
"And my life had more going on in it.... now this" I sigh and Put the Paper in the nearest trashcan and Grab My stuff. OOC:Is this a Christmas related thread or something?
She sighs in disappointment Of course. You're modern cultists. You don't actually do anything. Back in my day it was the cultists summoning the gods and Goddess's. But I guess you're all too lazy to do that nowadays. I have no particular attachment to this world...... however..... It's not every day I get to witness a magic so powerful. I shall simply observe this Goddess and her work. Yes..... a fine specimen to study indeed.
OOC: Nyxmas was my idea since "The Fall" does happen around Christmas. Nyx_avatar liked the idea so they went with it.
*Shino adjusts her glasses and sighs* Of course, because we definitely need another group of people trying to make the Fall happen... *she then pulls out her cell phone* Time to call in an expert.
OOC:Ah makes sense.
Suddenly Quintus seems to smile strangely. "Do we need to be so hasty to stop this? This...isn't so bad. They're...all afraid. They may worship that thing like a God but they too fear death. That's why they accept it, because they think that'll help their fear but...their despair...I can feel it." Quintus would try to further approach the crowd. This was an unusual act for someone who supposedly loathed large gatherings of people.
"What is coming can not be stopped. I will warn you once, live peacefully and in comfort while you can. Such a thing will help you die without any regrets. Otherwise you would simply waste your lives and die in fear and pain trying to stop this. I speak as such because in my time in the Nexus I truly grew attached to this world but now is the time to say goodbye and I'd rather say goodbye with a smile than with tears."
[Anon claps some more.] Not what I had in mind for the destruction of the Nexus, but I like it.

I run up to my room and Grab a katana looking object out of a hidden compartment of my closet and It had a Technological look to it. Topped with a Dark Gold Finish to it and A Traditional Handle to the design. "Weapon to fight off Doomsday, Check"
*A Man is climbing Tartarus With suction cups*
Well then, shall I begin testing? She points to a cultist and then waves her finger before closing her hand as her staff glows. Magic gathers around the cultist and crushes their body, killing them Let us see how the Goddess reacts to the death of her cultists.......
*After a few minutes, someone on the other end of the line finally picks up* Yeah, we have a problem... Oh, you already heard about it? Well then... Right... Fine, I'll help take care of it if you come... Ok then. *she then hangs up*
The man scoffs. "You'd let them all die? Sure their despair is plentiful, but to what end is that good for? Hook may be sated now, but when the Fall occurs...it will all be meaningless." He shakes his head as he follows the young man. "Unless..." The man grins as he goes silent.
The avatar would stare down at the corpse of the cultest. Seemingly they wouldn't be reacting at all. "A early death but it matters not. All will perish eventually wether that is now or later on. The future of life was sealed from the moment you are born."
Saeko grimaces, looking out at Sakura and her actions. Her grip tightened on her pistol. She couldn't forgive someone killing without a problem. She wanted to jump out and call them out, but stayed where she was. She knows she's under-powered. Potentially instigating a fight would be problematic.
Quintus would move back a bit with surprise as one of the cultists dies. His nervousness would return upon witnessing their death as he returns to his senses. "I-uh...sorry. I got carried away. The despair would be nice but I don't want people to die. What do you mean by unless though? Do you have a plan of some kind?"
The man looks Quintus dead in the eyes before speaking. "We use the Fall against Nyx. Nobody truly wants to die. Somewhere deep inside they want to be saved. And that's the Hail Mary pass I'm going to hedge my bets on." He crosses his arms as he speaks. "So long as we have a force rallying against Nyx, this might be able to work. The first part of this plan is having you and Hook drink up all that delicious despair and get a significant power boost." He begins tapping his foot as he continues. "Second. We find someone who can reach the hearts of the Nexus citizens, showing them that things can get better." He gives a nod before speaking his last part of the plan. "Lastly. The hope should be enough to reveal a weakness in Nyx and we strike her back from whence she came." He smiles as he puts his hands on his hips. "But that's all I got. And I can't even say if it'll work out. I could ask my benefactor but he doesn't wish to be bothered."
Ah, so the Goddess does not wish to be the sole end of Humanity, but instead wishes Humanity to end regardless of the means..... She pulls out a notebook and scrawls on it before putting it away Fantastic. Then I can experiment to my hearts content. Farewell foul human, you wished for death, and I have granted it. In return you unlocked the door to knowledge. I wish your soul a safe trip through the afterlife. She bows to the bloody corpse
"With my message delivered I am finished. The end shall come the day after Christmas day. I have no reason to delay so I shall give you all that much time. Until then, live in peace and await your swift and peaceful death." [With the the being would fly away into the sky. They would seemingly head towards the moon before vanishing from sight. The end has begun. Within the next few days everything will begin to descent into chaos as people seemingly lose their wills and minds.]

Right.... Might as well start getting ready.
The man's eyes grow wide with fury. "You bastard! I have shopping to do on boxing day! I will be your end you overgrown pigeon!"
She looks around I see.... Note. When told of their inevitable deaths, Sol's respond with defiance and anger. And immediately begin plotting a Counterattack..... However, They don't seem to band together as much as one would assume. Each making their own plan....... She again writes something down Very interesting indeed.....
The train with no place in time once more thunders to a slow speed as it circles near the gathering of cultists, but it doesn't come to a halt. "This is terrible! If what these pamphlets have been spouting is true, such an event would wipe this place from time! What to do!? Yuuto is gone! This place clearly isn't Tokyo! What am I to do now!?" Standing on the rear of the train is a creature with strange attire, but it seems just as panicked as any other person would be.
Fakelib turns to face the creature on the train. "Oh. An interesting person has appeared." He jogs over to the back of the train and calls out to the creature. "Oi! Who are you? You're not one of those loons are ya?"
Quintus would begin walking away. His legs were clearly shaking. His greatest fears seemed to be coming to fruition. "So, are we really all going to die? I...what should I even do? What can I even do? Is this really going to be the end?"
The creature attempts to look at Fakelib, but due to the train's rotation, finds himself forced to wait between his times of talking. "Loons? Are you--- referring to the--- odd gathering--- of seemingly--- soulless--- people? If--- so, no! I--- WOULD--- like to--- know what they're--- doing! It might--- be a major--- threat to time--- as we know--- it!"
Fakelib waits patiently as the creature finishes speaking. "You wouldn't happen---to have brakes---on that thing---would you?" He then turns to Quin with a grin. "You can worry about that after you try fighting. If we can't win then oh well, that sucks. But until then, get a hold of yourself and show me that entrusting you with Hook wasn't a mistake."
The humanoid creature runs into the train, and shortly the sound of metal grinding against metal rings throughout the area. The train slows to a stop a good 10 meters above the ground. Once again the creature appears at the back. "A-Apologies for the noise! Apologies!" The creature bows, smacking his head on the railing. It recoils, but it doesn't let on as to how much it hurt. "A-Anyway, w-would you happen to kn-know what's happening here? Other th-than these pamphlets, I-I am completely in the dark!"
The man can't help but laugh at the display. "All life will end on the day after Christmas Day. That is, if we can't stop it. But I have a feeling we can pull it off, we just need to..." The man looks like he's going to be sick. "...w-w-work together. Bleh. That had a weird taste to it. Anyways, you can call me Kalib. What's your deal, pal?" The man sticks out his frigid hand in attempt to be civil.
The creature bows several times, since he's still in the air. Each bow is accompanied by a quiet, "Nice to meet you!" He'd taken some extra caution to take a step back before he bowed. "A-Anyway, my name is Deneb! As to what I'm doing, I-I'm busy searching for someone! It'd be terrible for this "death of everything" business to go off! I-I guess we'll be seeing each other more often now?" Deneb pulls out a basket from beneath his cloak. This basket is filled with an assortment of candy, which he tosses a handful at Fakelib. "H-Here! Deneb Candy! Please enjoy it!"
