Cattail Arena: Round 2 Battles
This arena seems rather empty at the moment, although a few spectators have already arrived. A humanoid cat, one of the tournament's workers, sits at the judge's bod with a tape recorder. The battlefield is a wooden platform in a large pool, supported just a few inches above the water by multiple poles. Some more cat workers are waiting at the edges with stacks of multicolored disks beside them.
Okay Sayaka, you can do this The young, 14-year-old competitor stands at the top of the arena wall, cape billowing heroically in the wind. She's already put the effort into climbing up here, so there's only one thing left to do Alright, now, lets try this again. The girl runs towards the arena, leaping off the edge of the arena wall. She makes it roughly halfway to the arena before beginning to descend, so she forms a platform beneath her, running off of it and leaping up again. And now for the.... She seems to realize the arena isn't as.... Stable this time, probably a bad idea to try a superhero landing... Sad, she's already gone this far. Oh well. Now I have to take the long way. Sayaka allows herself to fall most of the way to the arena floor, before conjuring a second platform beneath her feet, rolling to reduce the impact, the girl rolls off her little circle of music notes, and lands onto the platform face first. She mutters to herself Ugh, that was supposed to be so much cooler. Sayaka peels herself off the arena floor, face red, either from the impact or from embarassment, its possible no one will know. The young girl draws her sword, red fading fast, and waits
*Spectre walks up to the arena with a dark blue storm swarms around him and his exo-frame and armor gives off a imposing figure* Hey there. Seems that I finally got the time to do this.
Without warning a blue shaded blur weaves through the crowd before going straight over the water and stopping on the platform. Having stopped, it's clear to see that the blur was none other than Sonic the Hedgehog. He casts a nervous glance towards the water and lets out a sigh. Nobody told me anything about this much water being involved. Don't think I'll like this one too much... Sayaka, I'll be counting on ya. Don't let me down. The hedgehog says the last part with a grin before moving closer to his teammate. I'm game whenever you guys are. Same rules as before or something a little different?
(Suddenly, a greenish 7'3 man falls from the sky)....why did I come here..
I mean...I ain't in the fight...so whats'ta point?
*he loads a magazine into a rifle that has a scratched off logo named "VEIST" and presses a lever on his hammer which emits a electro magnetic edge* https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/shacknews/assets/editorial/2017/12/destiny-2-the-colony-weapon-ornament.jpg Now I am ready, are we two ready as well??
Sayaka blushes a little and nervously scratches the back of her head, the blue blur was pretty impressive last round after all. In a moment, she gives him a wide smile and a thumbs-up Don't worry, I'm more than ready for anything that happens. I'll be sure not to let you down!! With that, the young girl turns to the tournament organizer, and bows Whenever you're ready to start of course. Any special rules this time?
I mean...I could try to get back in...
The cat at the judge's seat presses a button on the tape recorder. Panthera Dox's voice comes out. "I apologize for not being present, but I'm judging the others at Cat Paw Arena. Here at Cattail Arena, though, we still have quite a show! The rules for this round are quite different. First, the only limit to this arena is that you can't go into the stands or anything. Second, the round ends when all people on one side are defeated, or if time is called. Third, this has a time limit. It'll probably not be incredibly necessary, though. Finally, see those disks at the sides of the pool? Those'll be tossed out to you. Break them, and you'll change your point total, varying with the disk thrown! For convenience, the points gained or lost from this will be displayed throughout the competition. This is the main point factor here. Ready? Good. Let's begin!" With that, two yellow disks are tossed towards the platform, one coming from behind Spectre and the other from behind Sonic and Sayaka.
AY, IM SORRY FOR WHAT I DID LAST ROUND, I REALLY AM, PLEASE LEMME BACK IN?
Zane's only answer is a few glares from the cats throwing the disks.
Vile looks from afar, seeing the match about to take place... "Heh, little do these people know, the real battle will start during this one..." He snickers
(edited by Vile)
Sayaka grins, so the main goal is just to hit some discs? That much will be easy. Well, breaking them, but that's no problem either. She turns over to her partner, dropping the sword from her hilt onto the ground Think you can keep him busy? I might be able to get all the discs if I'm lucky. Without further ado, Sayaka spins, grabbing a pair of swords from underneath her cape. She first slings one at the air just in front of Spectre's disk, to smash through it as it moves along, before throwing the second one at the disc behind her and Sonic Soul Gem: 5%, 3 from the entry, two from the sword making
(edited by Sayaka_Miki)
Sigh...dammit
*Fayth appears behind Zane* I don't think that's gonna happen. Glad to see your at least optimistic though.
*he starts smashing down the disk with his giant ax and shooting then down with his VEIST micro launcher* Hey! Quit hi-jacking my targets!
Mizael walks up behind Vile, then sits next to him, also watching from afar. "At this point, your connection should be properly established. Silent Honor ARK is at your beck and call... heheheh..." Mizael smirks.
Eh..guess so?
"Well...Good to know..." Vile replied, not looking at Mizael.
I'll see what I can do then! With your speed this'll be a piece of cake. Picking up the sword Sayaka dropped, Sonic dashes towards Spectre until he's right under his rifle. With a quick slash upwards, he attempts to disarm him of the gun. If you don't keep your eyes on me this'll end before it even begins!
*he looks at the hedgehog as his nanite swarm grows red blocks the strike while hardening into a extra limb* I don't need eyes to keep track of you! *he continues to slash down the disks with his ax*
(edited by Unit_Spectre)
I like spec, he plays a lot like me...only better
Spectre manages to hit one of the disks at the last second, but this lets Sayaka hit the other. Two papers are put onto separate hooks, with wooden signs above them. S+S: 1 Spec: 1 Three disks, two yellow and one green, are tossed.
Now here I am...alone...and bored
(Um Spectre? Nanites notwithstanding, you ignored the slash at your rifle. That was the whole point of my action so I need to know what happens with that.)
Oh great... this is going to be a long one... *he fires two shots from his VEIST rifle and they begins to home in into the green and yellow disks*
ooc: Judge here. Spectre, unless you can explain Sonic's attack not working, you have no rifle to fire with
Of course, Sayaka hardly has to pick and choose targets. The girl jumps towards the middle of the arena, throwing three more swords at the discs. First one is thrown straight at the oncoming green disk, while the other two are thrown at the yellows You holdin' up ok Sonic? We can switch out if you ever need, I'm pretty durable after all Forgot to mention earlier, Sayaka's swords are in the style of a katana, with a simple, cutlass-like handguard added on. They were made for slashing, but throwing a piece of metal at high velocities will still work to break most things Soul Gem: 8% OOC:Spectre is kinda bad about ignoring attacks headed his way, he's more used to more... Directly RPG style stuff, with HP percentages and a GM telling him his condition. At least, that's what I've noticed
(He pulls out his banjo and plays it: https://youtu.be/AtOs26kB8Zw
OOC: I'll go edit that then
ooc: Very well. Let us continue.
...I wish aki was here...I like her...alot
(Sorry for the wait. My attention has to be turned away from the site) Switch out? This is no sweat. Getting rid of tiny robots is as easy as walking. Jumping Back from Spectre slightly, Sonic throws the sword he had high in the air. Curling into a ball he revs up a Lightspeed Attack. Glowing green, when he's reached full charge the hedgehog flies towards the Nantes and homes in on each one faster than the eye can blink before ramming into Spectre last, provided nothing interrupts him, bouncing off and catching the sword as he lands.
Maybe I like her cuz she's hot...yeah, one of the reasons
*Jack sits in front of Vile and Mizael.* Just slightly late. At least I made it. *He looks over his shoulder at the two* Did I miss anything important?
The only disk Spectre claims is the green one. The score is shifted to an even 3-3. Only one blue disk is tossed high into the air.
THAT'S MINE! *he jumps and fires six more homing shots form his VEIST gun at the blue disk*
Oh no you don't. From her position in the middle, Sayaka is ready to spring into action, the girl leaps up towards the disc, since Spectre has managed to get several in spite of her direct attempts on them, she relies on a different tactic. Sayaka spins in the air, producing three more blades from beneath her cape. The young girl sticks her tongue out to taunt Spectre. Rather than aim directly at the disk, she instead throws the swords to intercept Spectre's electric homing shots, preventing them from striking the disk Gonna have to try harder than that!!! Once she reaches the disk, Sayaka would grab it, before forming a platform, diagonally, to be between her and Spectre, and swings the disk down to shatter it against her own platform Soul Gem: 12%
(edited by Sayaka_Miki)
But..she probably don't like me as much...
No-one likes you, Rep. Not your partner. Not your brother. Not Scotland Yard. You'll die alone with no friends, except that needle in your arm. Wait, I lost the reference. Never mind.
I don't have a partner, I do have a sister though
IT WON'T HAPPEN! *he grabs Sayaka's leg and throws her to the ground and boosts to hack the disk in two*
OOC: You should probably wait for Sonic before replying to everything, but just to clarify, you're saying you're now near the middle of the arena, next to Sayaka, yes?
Sayaka breaks the disk due to Spectre having to take a moment to get up to her, bringing her score to... 1? It's 1-3 now. Panthera Dox is probably laughing evilly somewhere.
Wait hold on! Minus two! *he cracks slightly into laughter*
(How ironic that I'm too slow so I needneeded to change my post.) You know, it's not nice to ignore your dance partner. I might try and find someone else. Sayaka, get away from him! After catching the sword Sonic changes his tactics significantly. Hitting a button on his shoes, they subtly glow green as he begins revving up a Super Peel Out. Shooting off, the hedgehog starts tuning circles around Spectre. Faster and faster, within seconds the wind becomes visible and starts pulling at any small particles around and tugging on the largers ones with increasing power. Rather quickly, a veritable tornado should have formed, hopefully taking Spectre with it as it moves out of the arena as Sonic watches his handiwork. I call that one the Super Sonic Wind! Let's see how you deal with that!
WOOOOOOOOOO
Seeing as there is a platform between Spectre and Sayaka, he would find it quite difficult to grab her leg. Because there is a magic circle a few feet across between them. As I mentioned earlier. Reading is fantastic. Sayaka groans a little, aren't red disks supposed to be bad? The green ones were obvious.... Regardless, Sayaka's eyes go wide when she notices what Sonic is doing, and she immediately leaps off of her platform towards the side of the arena. Just to be safe, she pulls out two more swords from beneath her cape, holding one in each hand You've got it boss! I think I know how the disks work now at least. Soul Gem: 14%
*he reloads a new mag into his rifle and boosts up to a section of the arena to get his systems back into shape* Now with the thanks of her... now I know what target I would I pick.
(edited by Unit_Spectre)
ooc: *coughs loudly and points at the big freaking tornado*
OOC:to clarify, the only platforms in the air are the ones Sayaka have made, and they vanish once she jumps off them, a fact I really should have mentioned, my mistake there. There aren't any naturally. Also you ignored the tornado Edit: You still ignored the tornado
(edited by Sayaka_Miki)
Sigh...why ain't anyone else here?
Screw it, GM is putting their foot down. The tornado lifts Spectre into the air. It moves towards the edge of the pool as the cat there flees, leaving their stack of disks. Black, orange, red, blue... every color of the rainbow plus white and black is lifted up, some being launched out of the tornado.
OH NONONONO!!! WHY did I not notice that?!
TO BAD, YA FAILED
Alright, Sayaka knows how a few of the colors work and so, probably foolishly, Sayaka grins and, after throwing a sword at each yellow and green one that flew outside initially (GM will have to give me a number there for my percentage, unless this is basically the end), the girl dives into the tornado. Now this is more like it!! Much faster this way. You up for it Sonic? Since the discs she doesn't know about would likely shatter against anything she used to block them, she instead simply accepts the hits, blocking them as best as she can with her arms as she boosts towards Spectre, forming platforms for only the briefest of seconds to enable her to adjust her trajectory at will. Sorry, better luck next time!!! Sayaka positions herself within the tornado, of course she's being blown by the tornado in the same direction Spectre is, once there's a good angle, the girl would form a platform below her to kick off, flying at Spectre like a rocket, aiming to tackle him and bring the two of them, not only out of the tornado, but also out of bounds and end the match Soul Gem:14% + however much that thing took to pull off. Its 1% for each sword thrown, 1% for each platform made, and varying depending on how badly injured she might get doing this
*he weakly gives Sayaka a thumbs up* Nice fight... give the victory to her...
Sayaka's swords hit two yellow disks, but miss a green one. As she's in the whirlwind, she rockets towards Spectre, possibly for the final blow. S+S: 3 Spec: 3
...Even the judge isn't sure what just happened. In the wake of the tornado, part of the stadium is soaked, and Sayaka and Spectre are in the top of the stands. They pause for a few long moments, then tally the official scores. Somic and Sayaka win, 7-6.
(So sorry for how slow I was this time. Next match I'll do everything I can to not repeat this.) With the silent declaration of their victory, Sonic is at Sayaka and Spectre's side without a moment to spare. That was some stunt you pulled there. How are you holding up? Offering his hand to the magical girl, he'd be giving her a smile and thumbs up with his free hand.
OOC: Its fine m8, usually they're a little on the slow side anyways. I'm just glad you could make it. Sayaka gives Sonic a confident grin as she accepts his help up, any bruises she's received would finish healing up as she stands, leaving the girl as good as new. Sayaka pumps her fist excitedly I'm perfectly fine of course. After all, healing is my main thing!! So don't you go worrying about me, ok? Next Sayaka would briefly turn and bow to Spectre before offering him her own hand to help him up Hope you're doin' fine. If either of you are hurt just let me know, I can fix it in a matter of seconds. Not as easy as healin' myself, but its still one of the fastest ways out there
"Now...it's time..." Vile said as he starts to summon his ship, the 101 Silent Honor ARK. "HOPE YOU GUYS ARE READY!!!" Vile yells aloud as he screams at the top of his lungs(or voice calibrator, however you'd like to call it.) "COME! 101 SILENT HONOR ARK!!!" Vile yells as the Giant ship appears through the Chaos Network, looming over the Arena
The cat that's in the judge's booth frantically scrambles for the phone and meows into it. It warily eyes the ship overhead.
OOC: Sorry, I'm too tired to deal with this sort of thing. Uh... Good luck with your... Stuff, I guess.
Mizael says loudly enough for everyone down in the arena to hear: “No need to panic, people of-...” Mizael turns to Vile. “What’s the name of the city again? I don’t think I caught what it was during my time here...”
"Cattail." he said "I'll lead the attack from here." Vile said as he teleports to the top of the ship. "OPEN FIRE!" He yells as the ship starts firing lasers and missiles into the Arena
(edited by Vile)
Sigh. “I was GOING to give them the option of acceptance or Rebellion, but... alright.”
Matador laughs at them from far, far away.
The cat coughs, and begins to speak, although with some strain. "Actually, it's just the na... na... name of this arena. Panthera Dox... created this as part of their domai..." They then dive for cover in the stands.
Wow. You guys are really bad at this, aren't you? Is this your first try at invading somewhere?
"Whatever, MORE THINGS TO DESTROY!" Vile said, as the ship continues to send out its lasers and missiles
*Jack continues monologuing while drawing a hand of cards and looking at it* Ace. King. 10. 4. Jack. Huh. Wonder if that means anything. Well anyway. You want some advice about invading places? I've seen it happen enough. I'm pretty much an expert at this point.
What is left of the arena at this point is rubble
*Jack shrugs and leaves*
OOC: Good for you
"Here we are, folks! Alice? Lowe? Jiyu? To the center platform!" At Panthera Dox's words, a bridge of sorts is laid out across the water.
Lowe crosses the bridge, tapping his foot on the wooden platform as he waits for the other combatants. I can only hope this is less er...eventful than last time.
Alice steps forth and makes her way into the arena shortly after Lowe. Oh yes, I wonder how long it'll be until you throw a train at me this time. Even though last round was a win she still doesn't seem too happy about the method in which it was secured. While awaiting the opponent she'd look over the arena's edge down at the water.
Jiyu jogs across the bridge and stops when he makes it to the wooden platform. He then stretches his arms a bit. "I'm surprised that I even made it in time."
The bridge is removed once everyone is across. The water seems fairly deep, and Alice can't see the bottom. "Alright, ground rules! Match is over once one side is down and out, or when I call time! We'll also be throwing discs that can change your point total if you smash 'em! Ready? First round of 'em is here!" As if on cue, two blue disks fly out at the platform, from opposite sides.
Upon seeing the two discs flying, Jiyu stops stretching and smirks. "Discs eh? Just my luck!" Jiyu then quickly draws his flintlock revolver and tries to shoot one of the discs.
Noticing the discs flying out, she decides to go after the one that her opponent chose to ignore. Seraph descends upon her, her spear in hand, and awaits its orders. Without a moment to lose, Alice takes her weapon and is taken up by her persona who would fly at the disc and allow Alice to swing her weapon at it. Lowe let me worry about the discs, you stay on gun boy! The plan having been set, Alice is now airborne whether or not the disc is destroyed.
"Alright, let's rock!" Reacting right on cue, Lowe does something a bit unexpected and darts at Jiyu. He runs at him, before sidestepping around his side and stopping at his back before aiming a nasty elbow at the back of his head. The hope here is to throw off his aim more than anything else, but whether or not that works he's just trying to get the first hit in.
Jiyu fires the gun moments before Lowe's strike would connect, and both disks shatter for each side. Panthera Dox puts some papers under hooks with each team's names. 2-2 A blue disk and a green disk fly towards the center of this combat, with the green one significantly higher.
Before Lowe could even touch Jiyu, a ghostly humanoid figure with an orange glowing sword in its right hand manifests behind Jiyu and catches Lowe's arm. "Nice try! But you have to be faster than that! Now take care of him, Washington!" While having a tight grip on Lowe's arm, Washington tries to bring his body down and knee him right in the chest. Meanwhile, Jiyu aims his gun at the green disc and fires at it.
Alice wasn't about to let such a treasure go by with no contest. Seraph, ascending as soon as Alice saw the green disc, would hopefully make it in time to intercept the bullet while she herself would try breaking it with her spear. Her persona wasn't resistant to gun but certainly that one bullet wouldn't utterly cripple it, right? K-keep him busy I said!! Whether her action worked as planned or not, she'd still be sure to yell at Lowe in order to relieve her frustration from having to deal with opposition in breaking the discs.
Lowe grits his teeth as he eats the knee to the stomach. To be precise, he girts them on the buckle keeping the black band on his arm in place, yanking on it by turning his head. This was enough, as an audible tearing sound can be heard as a black aura emanates from Lowe's arm. In the same motion, three railroad spikes fire from his hand. Best case scenario: they hit Jiyu. No matter which of the entities near him they end up hitting though, it's still a point-blank attack, and would prove very difficult to dodge. You want fast?! Try this then!
The random number gods have spoken. Jiyu's bullet strikes the green disk, while the untouched blue one plops onto the water. 3-2 (favoring Jiyu) Three disks, of varying colors this time: green, purple, and red. The red one is thrown far to the right of the other two.
Washington attempts to prevent all of the railroad spikes from hitting his user with his sword, but he only manages to block one of them, sending the other two right in his back, while making Washington lose his grip from Lowe a little. Jiyu stumbles forward a bit while holding his back with his left hand. "Hrrrg! D-Damnit... So you wanna play it that way huh? Fine then!" Despite being in the same pain as Jiyu, Washington manages to raise his blade and tries to hit Lowe in the back with the hilt of the blade. Letting his Per(stand)sona do all the work, Jiyu slowly aims his gun in the direction of the purple disc and fires his gun at it.
(edited by Jiyu-Hatanaka)
While awaiting the next set of discs, Alice is rather pleased to find that Lowe is doing somewhat of a good job with Jiyu and his persona. Heyyy, that's pretty good train boy! Keep at it! Now how to solve the disc problem... would magic even work? Alice decides to put it to the test. Noticing that the red one was too far away from the purple and green, she figured she might as well have Seraph send forth a spear made of light energy at the red disc in hopes of hitting it while she focuses on either the purple or green. Seraph would speed towards the purple and green and have Alice whack at the green one since Jiyu would have most likely gotten the purple one if he managed to land the shot. Grr, I'm gonna break that kid's stupid gun!
Lowe eats that hit too, but thanks to the defensive buff he receives in what he affectionately called "combat mode", it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it would otherwise. He turns the force from the swing into forward momentum, and rolls away from the pair and hopefully out of Washington's reach. He's now crouching a few feet away, and facing away from them. He turns his head toward the user and copyright-friendly spiritual entity, and outstretches one arm toward their feet. Alright, now the fun starts! Right on cue, a full-sized train barrels from a large, portal-like object behind him and right toward the duo. It's aimed rather low, almost as-if he's trying to hit their feet.
(edited by LoweComotive)
Alice hits the green and red disks, while Jiyu hits the purple one. Panthera Dox smiles evilly as they put up the scores. A+L: 0 J: 2 A red disk and blue disk are tossed. Oh, there's also a train barreling through the platform. That'll at least destroy whatever of the platform it passes through.
Upon seeing the fucking train coming towards him and Jiyu, Washington runs towards the distracted Jiyu and pushes him away from the range of the train. Jiyu turns around to see the train. Also, Washington is right next to the train, watching it pass by him. "Hmm, well then..." Jiyu alters his attention to the blue disc and fires another bullet at it. He only has one bullet left, so he has to reload next turn. Meanwhile, Washington faces Lowe, with a glare in his eyes.
(edited by Jiyu-Hatanaka)
Alice would only grow more frustrated to find that the two disks she got only served to hinder her team severely. Bearing witness to the destruction of the platform below, she sees where Lowe is trying to go with the fight but isn't sure how to feel about it. Besides that she has her own role to play. I don't get it... Was it the red one that was harmful? Uhm... Choosing to ignore the red one, Seraph would go to intercept the bullet aimed at the blue disk. This time, rather than trying to break them, Alice would attempt to preserve them. She'd feed her prayers into Seraph in order to generate a barrier around the persona as it flew with the blue disk, hoping this'd stop its destruction.
Lowe only shrugs, smiling mischievously at the duo before jumping back and holding his arms out in frint of him, crossed over one another. He would turn his gaze briefly to Alice, before focusing on the hole he'd made before. In particular, looking for any now visible supports keeping the platform where it was. "Hope you know how to swim, pal!" On cue both trains under his control fire from their respective sides, one barreling toward the far right of the platform that he could see, and the other going left. He's notably aiming for those supports, or at least estimating where they might be based on what he could see through that hole.
The barrier flickers as the bullet hits, but the disk is still safe. The red one lands in the water as an orange one is tossed out. The trains hit both support poles, only leaving the two behind Lowe. The platform groans as its boards begin to slope downward towards the water.
"W-What the?" Jiyu starts to slide down the wooden board while trying to keep his balance. Seeing his user in danger, Washington throws his blade over to Jiyu so that he can hold on to it. Jiyu catches the blade with his left hand and pierces it into the wooden platform to prevent himselffrom sliding anymore. Also it seems that Washington has disappeared back into Jiyu. "You're a real dick, you know that, uhh, Lowe!" With one more bullet remaining in his gun, Jiyu aims the it at the orange disc and shoots at it.
Alice, having a moment of doubt as she watches the disc soar through the air, decides to actually let this one be. She hasn't figured out the color code just yet but she's yet to see an orange one so who even knows what will happen if she destroys it, protects it, or what. She instead turns her gaze on Jiyu who is struggling to hang on. This is a new color too! These tricky cats, I can't afford to let us go negative! Uhm... Let's just get him for now. Staying where she was mid-air, Alice prays. At her behest, Seraph lets forth a barrage of weaker, yet plentiful, balls of bless-element magic upon Jiyu.
What's the matter, buddy? Scared of a little bath? As soon as he sees the disk get thrown, Lowe leaps into action. More specifically, into the air. He launches a train upwards, while holding onto it as it rises. Hopefully the train can block Jiyu's shot, but regardless of that happening or not Lowe rises up, and up, and up into the air. About twice as high as Alice is, before the train vanishes from reality and gravity has its way with him, pulling him back down in a free fall. I get wanting to keep him on his toes, but let's not bet on anymore chances, okay? Also when you're not busy, PLEASE STOP ME FROM BECOMING A STAIN ON THE PLATFORM, THANKS!
(edited by LoweComotive)
It seems Jiyu prevails yet again. His bullet pierces the disk, making the score 5 to none in his favor... ...but all is not lost for the other two. Five disks are thrown up high: one red, two green, one blue, and one black. The platform creaks some more, nearly done for.
Jiyu looks up at the two in the air. If he needed to take care of those two, he needed to somehow get up there. Suddenly, a smirk appears on Jiyu's face. "I have an idea so stupid, that it might just work..." To evade the light attack, Jiyu gets the sword out of the platform and starts sliding down it at a fast speed. Seeing that there's new discs, Jiyu aims the sword at one of the green ones and fires an orange beam from the sword at it. Finally Jiyu would plunge into the water...
Presented with many options, as well as two exceptions in the form of Jiyu and Lowe, Alice has a bit of a rough time deciding what to do. Looking around at the moving discs, she recognizes the ones that resulted in points in the past and it almost seems like she'll prioritize the discs at first and let Lowe recover his own way or fall. Green, blue, uhm... Black uuh... Dammit! Alice has Seraph throw a spear of light at the same green disc that Jiyu was aiming for, seeking to compete with him, but immediately after that Seraph would forsake the other discs and seek to align itself with Lowe, ascending a tad and holding its arms open. Alice keeps her position atop the persona's shoulders. I won't let you fall Lowe, lay horizontal or something so we can catch you!
Lowe was falling pretty fast, but he sees Alice ditching the rest of the discs for him, and smiles. Out of the corner of his eye he spots the other green disc, and fires at it with a barrage of the usual railroad spikes as he falls. Thanks to the sheer number he fired, maybe ten or so, he can only hope they connected. He lands in Seraph's arms safely, smiling at the angel and its user. Thanks for not letting me die, and all that. His tone was somewhat teasing, but he was obviously thankful nonetheless.
Jiyu and Alice launch their beams at nearly the same time, allowing both to strike the disk at once, shattering it Meanwhile, Lowe launches a set of spikes at the other green disc, hoping for the best, his spread is highly innacurate, leading several spikes to fall towards the stands. However, one of them does manage to clip the disc, causing it to spin into another and shatter. The red, blue, and black discs fly across the stage and out of the arena, how unfortunate. A faint coughing sound can be heard as fourteen small, catlike creatures emerge, hidden in the woodworks around the arena. Satisfied, one of them heads up to a microphone. There's a temporary change in judge. But don't worry, we're quite effective at our.... One of Lowe's missed spikes ends up going straight through the creature's chest, leaving it pinned to the ground. Another one of them leaps up besides the body, and eats it before continuing Anyways, the score reads.... We believe 6 - 2 in favor of Jiyu. According to our calculations, there are two more waves before it is finished. Good luck. THe other twelve creatures run around the arena in trios, each trio grabbing a disk and throwing it into the air from each corner. They throw one green, one red, one purple, and one Blue disk towards the middle of the arena, green highest, then red, then purple, then blue. In that same order, they come from the north, south, east, and west, almost as though it were rehearsed. Good luck!! With those words, the platform before Jiyu creaks, before its last supports prove to be less than enough, the supports collapse, leaving the wooden debris to fall into the water in many floating pieces
From the water, a green glow followed by bubbling appears in one spot in the water... What could be happening?
Uhm, Lowe I think he's doing something down there in the water and we're running out of time here... We might need to try for the KO. Looking up as the next set of discs are released, Alice identifies the familiar colors, save for the purple, but comes up with a different idea. Shoot your spike thingies at those! If he's going to bide his time then I might as well do the same. Staying airborne and keeping as steady as the angelic persona can, Alice would pray once more. There'd be no immediate effect but that power is being stored somewhere for something. She seems intent on building up as much as she can for the time being, leaving the discs to Lowe's somewhat capable hands.
Lowe would extend one hand, and draw his pistol with his free hand. Thanks to the steady support provided by Seraph, hr was able to confidently fire a flurry of spikes at the green disk, and a well-aimed pistol shot at the blue.

In the middle of the green light is a small orange light... Also the water seems to be bubbling a bit more.
The voice of the creatures makes a remark as it watches the green glow What, is he digivolving or something? I hope that's not a wa... The creature's beady eyes dart up as the spikes pierce through the green disk, breaking it into many pieces. Shortly afterwards, Lowe's pistol shot cracks the disk. A few of the creatures convene, before looking up at the one near the microphone. After another throat clearing The score is 6-5 in favor of Jiyu. Now then, one more round before the conclusion. Give it everything you've got contestants. the creatures split up again, this time moving in six pairs. The creatures grab six different colors of disks, blue, black, red, orange, purple, and green, tossed from a point sixty degrees away from each other towards the center. They would all pass over each other at the same time if you gave them the chance, before going over to hit the other side of the arena
Suddenly, two giant orbs of water quickly ascends from the water, one with an orange glow and the other with a green glow. The green orb flies over to Alice and attempts to pierce her with a tip of the sword that came out of the orb. The orange one shoots an orange bullet at the green disc and another at the blue one.
Alice hadn't quite gone for as long as she could but no one ever seems to let her finish before she can unleash the full destructive power anyway. The orbs take to the sky and she receives the stab from the green one. Her eyes open and and she pulls her hands apart from one another, her prayers ceasing as she turns her head to look at the green orb. Of course, this was Seraph's trigger to unleash. I-I see... Lowe, if you'd please. The Grand Cross is let loose as four intense rays of light are let out from Seraph's four cardinal directions. The green orb would most definitely get hit and the orange would likely as well, assuming it's in the correct position, as the four rays begin to rotate rapidly around Seraph and create a type of whirlwind that'd affect whatever wasn't above or below Seraph or in the focus, being directly upon Seraph, like Lowe and Alice was. Y-you better win! It isn't very clear whether or not the wound was fatal but, after the light show, Alice would grip Seraph as the persona began to fall into the water. Lowe had some time while within Seraph's arms to do whatever it is he intended to do but he'd have to save himself from the fall afterwards.
Lowe aimed his pistol at the green disk and fired, as they hopefully had drifted away from another by now. One would have expected him to do more, but he was seemingly following the trend, and was focusing on charging power for his next action.
The orange orb quickly truest to escape to the water, its successful, but it still took damage because of the green orb taking damage. As for the green orb, it explodes into a water explosion due to the light attack.

Jiyu is uncontested in his firing at the blue disk, allowing him to strike it, sending it spinning out of the way and into the stands... Where it cracks against the head of one of the catlike creatures Well, that was inconvenient. Oh well, it was an accident. Lowe aims at the green disk, waiting for it to pass through the arena after aligning with the others. Jiyu's shot grazes the disk, causing it to spin through the air, unbroken for Lowe to hit. The others sail through harmlessly as the remaining twelve creatures convene. That makes the score 8-6 in favor of Jiyu... This is the end, give it everything you've got. The remaining twelve creatures nod to each other, seeming to have gotten some sort of idea. They break off into pairs again, each pair grabbing an orange disk.... And running around the arena floor. The creatures would be using their strange arms to hold the disk rather closely between them. Try not to hit any of us this time. OK? That'll be an automatic point reduction... How many? Its a secret to everyone

Dammit Alice, you idiot. Fine, I'll do my best! Lowe would throw a hand in an arc, with his focus from last turn helping the thing's duration, it would run circles around the arena perimeter. He grabbed on, running circles around the arena. With one hand outstretched, Lowe would hope to scoop a few of the pairs of creatures up, along with their discs. After two circulations, he would kick off the train, converting the momentum into a dive as he lunged for another pair as he dove into the water. At worst, he was hoping for three pairs of them to enter his grasp, but he made sure to be thorough, as well as to make sure he wasn't hurting the poor things.
Having hit the water, Seraph going in first, Alice would stay submerged for a short while. By the time the creatures carrying the discs began to parade around, Alice would resurface and gasp. It'd be safe to assume that Seraph won't be showing up anymore. GAH! Aaah... Th-this is still going!? She's currently just staying afloat as not to drown or anything but she would eventually notice the creatures and try to grab them. Of course she's probably not close enough to do so and even if she did she doesn't really have the means to destroy them.
Underwater, the badly damaged Jiyu and Washington can both be seen moving around in a circle at a fast speed, causing the water to move in a circular motion. "Alright, now!" Jiyu backs away from his persona just as it goes in a circle at an even greater speed, creating a whirlpool.
The creatures dance around the edge of the pool, almost mocking Alice as they remain firmly out of her reach. They wouldn't be paying Lowe any attention, at least, until he grabbed the creatures, ending up with three pairs of them. Each pair keeps a firm grip on the disks they're holding, careful not to break the disks. One of the creatures, from its place in Lowe's grasp, licks his face moments before they enter the water, six creatures, one Alice, one Lowe, all getting dragged into the whirlpool That was nice, but you do remember you were supposed to break these, right? before he can react, the pair nearest the microphone leaps up to it, dropping their disk in the process to announce in unison And with Jiyu's continued consciousness, the mathematical score is 8-6 in favor of Jiyu. We are unsure of what qualifies as "impressive feats" so we will not be adding those in at this point. The real host will finalize the score in accordance with what they belive is point-worthy. Thank you all for your participation What creatures remain would gather in the stands and linger for a while longer
Jiyu swims up to the surface upon hearing his name. "Huh, is the fight finally over?"
"Sorry for my delayed announcement. I accidentally took a slight cat nap. Anyway, the most karma I could give would result in a tie, so I'm going with the current score. Jiyu wins!"
