Sumaru City: Alaya Shrine.
At the foot of a mountain rests an old shrine, long forgotten by most people, some rumors however swirl about the city as usual. What's unusual, are the people who've gone missing here recently. If you've seen the news lately, you'd know about that. Despite your reasons, all that can be seen is a burnt out building, trees surround it and for some reason, there's a thick layer of fog around the place as well. If one wanted to know more, they'd likely need to venture into the ruins of the shrine.
*walks on to the scene* Huh? What's up with this weird shrine? Oh well, maybe something is around here? Then again, maybe not...
(Suddenly, a 7'3 Snake centipede hybrid is there)...so, this is the place where alll the rumor's came ay?
The breeze blowing at the foot of the mountain ran through the boy's hair, his loose-fitting clothes flapping in the wind. He looked up at the shrine, with one hand placed on his hip. This is where Tatsu grew up. Something like this, in a place like this...It could be a coincidence, but I don't stand to lose much from checking it out. Besides, anything that messes with him, messes with me. He'd venture through the thick fog, hoping to find out just what the hell was going on.
A boy with blue hair in a high school uniform would be standing near the outside of the shrine. His eyes would glow with a mild red glow but he had a friendly smile on his face. He would be leaning back on the wall casually as happy as one could be. "Seems like a good show today. This'll probably be something to see. Might even have a little fun myself today."
Jason walks up the mountain, all alone. He looks up at the shrine thinking: "Wow, wonder if this related to the Shinigami..."
Sound fun for me. *he ventures into the shrine*
He trips, onto the path, hitting his knee on a rock. "Damn it... Little..." He picks up the rock and throws it off the mountain.
*Marisa puts on a pair of headphones and starts listening to heavy metal* Huh, more people. Guess this place drew them in. Something must be going on then.
(He also slithers "venture's" into the shrine)
He continues walking, and sees the shrine. "Woah.. This has got to be good... Even with no clues, at least a good stealing hit..." He walks into the shrine, and sees the others. "Damn it... Other people..." He puts on his hood, and walks towards the others. "Hey, everyone."

The fog's a pain in the ass, Lowe would have to move slowly just to avoid tripping on his way up to the building in fact. That being said, he'd reach the burnt out insides in time, upon doing so he'd note a young man sitting in the center of the place. A sword resting in his hands and his back turned to the entry, upon hearing Lowe's footsteps, however, he turns around and smirks at the boy. "Oh, it's you? Here I was expecting my other self, or at least an actual threat to me... Ah well, nice meeting you in person! I guess I can put down some kid that he seems to like, might be amusing for a bit anyway." He sounds friendly and cheerful, a grin showing on the man's face despite his dark words. And the fact he's raising his blade, a blur of blue would rush across the room, it takes him a few seconds to reach Lowe. Once there, he aims his blade toward Lowe's left arm, attempting to cut it clean off with an overhead slash. If the boy looked at him, he'd note this person appears to be a younger Tatsuya in a school uniform, along with having red eyes and disturbing smile. "Try not to bore me too much okay! Entertainment is hard to come by, and so far the idiots who came up have just been kids, or cops looking into their vanishing."
Oh..shit BOY'S AND GIRLS, WE GOT A SHADOW!!!!
*he looks at Lowe and Rep* A Shadow? Hell is that anyways?
Hmm? Sounds like trouble is going on. Oh, so that's what father meant when she said I could hear things even with these on. Ohh... *Marisa walks over to where the action is happening, pulling out an axe and tome on the way*
He looks around, and sees a... Statue of a Shinigami? "Wait, is that..?" He runs over and takes the statue. "..What the hell?"
Sigh, basicly a evil opposite version of ya and they are annoying, lemme tell ya something
(edited by Reperzel)
A stream of invisible strings would suddenly rush around S. Tatsuya and Lowe keeping any from approaching them. Outside Minato would stand with a smile as a blue flame emanates from his hand. "Time to kick it up a notch. Your time to shine...Deceiver! Hahaha!" Making a gun like gesture to his head he'd fire it off as a strange looking Persona similar to Messiah would appear but the pillar it usually had on its back was broken and it carried a strange scythe-like blade. The strings would now be coming from its own hands.
...oh boy, looks like it's gonna be a slaughter if someone doesn't stop these two...and I'm probably one of few who can stand a chance, considering I'm immortal. Damnit, father, why did you have to give me immortality?
Sounds fun... *he notices Marisa* Hello there... interesting... I sense the bloodline of Naga...
(edited by Voidwalker_Geist)
"Now, allow me to assist you further, my companion. Deceiver, bind your strings to one of them. It's time for the puppet show to begin." The invisible strings only seeable via advanced sight based magic would aim directly for Rep in an attempt to attach to his many appendages. If they connected his mind would suddenly fill with thoughts to attack all those who would interfere with S. Tatsuya and Lowe's fight.
Yeah...long story short, Naga got my mother to do the thing with father cause she became Grima, some kind of ritual thing, and that's how I was born. Anyways, should we stop this? I think we should stop this.
Agree on that part because I can feel my dragon blood chill up to my spine in this place.
I'm just gonna watch...
Yeah...dragon blood doesn't tell me much, but experience with father taught me to try to stop bad things before they happen, so... let's throw spells everywhere until the bad things stop?
Another blue haired boy approaches the group from behind. He seems to have bandages covering the chest area of his body left arm. "I knew I heard voices coming from here. Why is it so damn foggy here anyway?" The teenage boy looks over to the fight between S. Tatsuya and Lowe, only recognizing Lowe. "Oh hey, it's that guy I fought at the tournament."
I wish I could but well... *he points to S. Tatsuya and Lowe* We may get smashed into the ground if we interfere. And names is Geist son of Camilla of Nohr.
Ay, jiyu, yeah he's fighting a ssssshadow
Lowe kept his stride slow, to avoid a less than pleasant fall. He'd mostly ignore the other visitors. The guy at the entrance caught his eye as he entered the building, but before he even had a chance to ask him anything sirens would blare in his head, as he leaped to the side, ending up further inside the shrine proper. What was left of it anyway. The figure who attacked him caught nothing but a bit of Lowe's hair. That was too close. Lowe was now on the far left side of the building's remnants, crouching low to the ground. You...You're like him; but...not quite the same. You look a lot like...hell you FEEL a lot like that other one, the younger version of Tatsu I met at that cafe; but you've got something else about you. Some overwhelming feeling of...dread. Just what are you? Lowe figured that didn't really matter. Fact was, he was being attacked. If that speed was any indication, he most certainly was similar to the Tatsu he knew. This time, he wasn't going easy either. It's hard to tell if he's AS strong right now, but it doesn't change the fact he's gotta fight. Lowe bit down on the buckle keeping the cloth on his arm in place, and yanked his head back. The cloth vanished, his arm beginning to emit a black smoke-like aura. Though not out loud, he'd think to himself. "What the hell? That's new. Come to think of it, it was like this at the arena before. During my second match with Alice. Dammit, what the hell's going on here?" He'd observe the strings that now blocked his way of escape. Must have been that bastard outside. Damn, this is looking far from pleasant. Deceiver? The hell have I gotten myself into? Whatever, it's showtime. You wanna rock? Let's rock! He gets on his feet and holds one hand out, towards the other Tatsuya. A full sized train would be flung in his direction, a pretty straightforward attack.
I'm Marisa Sakura, daughter of Star Sakura and Tiki. Long story behind that, but let's focus on what's in front of us. I'm immortal, so...I guess I could run in and do something?
So...who wants to do something about this? Raise your hand.
(He rises all his centipede arms up)...me
Seems that guy is having some issues with that shadow so yeah let's help. *he readies his Nosferatu and Rexaura tomes*
The invisible strings would continue attempting to attach to Rep. If they could bind to him properly then his mind would fill with thought of the true shadow, Marisa. Yes, she was the true shadow, the thoughts would tell Rep. You must get rid of her before she hurts everyone...
Jiyu raises his right, unbandaged hand after hearing Marisa. "Yeah, we gotta do something."
Heh. This'll be fun... *Marisa's eyes start glowing red* I feel a little bloodlust coming on. Normally, father would be able to fix this, but she isn't here now is she? Heheheheh...wait, that might be Grima talking. Whoops. Well, whatever. Point is, I wanna fight. So... let's get in there and hit stuff? On three?
Atop the mountain overlooking the shrine, a man looks down on the foggy terrain below. He carries a rucksack over his shoulder, which he sets down, and begins kindling a fire, hoping to stave off the cold. "If isolation is the cost for peace from the chaos, I will pay that price until I have gained more knowledge about this 'Nexus'. A soldier must know if his war can be won by conventional means."
Um....alright? (He then looks over at Maria, and rams into her INA torpedo position)
"Tatsuya" smirks, a wicked look appearing on his face as the boy's voice goes low and dark. He'd look down at the point Lowe reached, damn nothing near him... If Lowe looked about 30 feet behind him, he would spot a small device on the ground, a landmine to be exact. "I have a feeling of dread huh? Yeah sounds like our kind when we ain't hiding it, which I can't ever be bothered to do honestly... I'm Tatsuya Suou's shadow, but also something more than that! Now, wanna see a magic trick?" Black waves of energy flow around Chaos Tatsuya, they'd take shape behind the man in the form of a blue version of Apollo, if Lowe had a talent for sensing the unseen, he'd note this one's got waves of... Everything horrible flowing from it, the Persona practically warps in front of Lowe's train, a blur of motion can barely be seen, however. Darkness weaves within the Persona's hands, it'd take the shape of a very large tower shield just before the train slams into it. Reverse Apollo press his feet down into the ground and tossing all his strength into blocking the attack, it'd send him back about 30 feet before stopping, but he's ungodly strong clearly. "Like him? My Apollo's got a bit more power than the normal one! Kinda have to be strong to survive all the people I'll piss off ya know?" Even as he speaks, the Shadow is chuckling to himself and continuing to press his attack against Lowe, he'd rush across the room just as before, this time sending a sword stab right at Lowe's guts, if he somehow hits, he'd tear the blade upward for a bit and aim to rip out more of the skin. He's expecting a dodge, hopefully backward and into that "party favor".
Wah! *Marisa jumps far into the air before Rep can hit her...is...is she going into orbit?*
(edited by Marisa_Sakura)
Jiyu looks over to Rep in confusion. He wondered why he would randomly attack Marisa for no reason. "Rep, why the hell did you try to attack her?!"
This shall be fun, just don't lose yourself to this. Hey guy who's fighting the Shadow. Care to have some assistance? *he casts the Rexaura on the Shadow of this "Tatsuya"*
I DONT FUCKING KNOW, SOMEONE IN MY HEAD TOLD ME TO DO IT!
A Shadow? Lowe had heard about these things from the others, but this is his first time dancing with one. The strength its Persona showed made it very clear. Lowe was in over his head. He didn't want to admit it, but he knew when he was going to struggle. Lowe gulped, feeling a twinge of genuine fear. Still, he had no choice but to fight. He'd reaffirm his resolve, taking a low combat stance, clutching his right arm with his left, holding both downward. Seeing the stab, and knowing that dodging backwards from a lunge is probably the worst thing you can do, he tries to get tricky and roll forward, stopping right at the Shadow's figure. Eat this, you bastard! He'd dig his right hand into his pocket during the roll, and had fished out his brass knuckle. He aimed an uppercut of his own at the Shadow, and if it connected he'd follow up by launching a train point blank from where his fist was. If all went according to plan, the Shadow would be sent up into the air from that strike.
"Step one: Confusion, done. Now to move onto step two: Slaughter..." More strings began to extend from receivers arms as it's smile became just as twisted as Minato's. Next they would reach for Jiyu. The invisible strings would try to attack to his head, arms, and legs. If they were successful then his thoughts would become clouded by the suggestion that Marisa was the one who attacked first.
*Marisa falls from the sky back to where she was before she jumped* Hey! Next time warn someone before you do that! I might be going into a bloodlust, but I can control it you know! I'm not a fucking vampire! And even if I was, the sun wouldn't kill me! I'd be a daywalker! So...ha! Umm...so... could you not attack me? I'm just here for damage control.
"A voice in your he- Ugh, stop talking nonsense and let's go kill that shadow in there!" As he starts heading towards the shrine, he stops in his tracks as the strings attach to him. "I'm guessing that she attacked him first because because he said some dumbass thing to her..." He shrugs and continues walking.
"Not that easily..." 'The girl talked about her bloodlust before. It was only a matter of time. How long until she attacks you, Jiyu? Are you really going to die without even being prepared for it? Are you really going to trust a killer so easily? Are you that foolish?' With the strings attached the suggestions wpuld grow more potent attempting bend Jiyu into their line of thinking.
Whatever Geist did? It's blocked by something unseen, if you could see it, however, you'd note that it's a set of strings... Seems Chaos Minato's helping out, heh. He'll have to thank the bastard for that. But damn, the kid was smart enough not to get hit or rush backward. Tch, time for something else... Hmm, this show must be hard to see with all of this fog around right? Well, can't have a blind audience to his debut! That in mind, the fog would wash away in an instant. "Thanks, but I'm not feeling too hungry right now, I've got a counter offer!" The first blow would indeed hit, sadly for Lowe in his focus on summoner? He forgot about the Persona that's been rushing toward him since before he drew that weapon. Before any train can be fired, R.Apollo would shift its shield into the shape of a large chain with a curved hook on the end, he'd aim to stab into Lowe's upper chest and fling him about for a bit as C.Tatsu darts to the left side, even if the train somehow rushes out, he'd hopefully be far enough to evade. Assuming R.Apollo's hook landed, he'd finish off the flinging by tossing Lowe down to the ground and sending him forward... Right into the mine the boy had avoided by rolling forward from the stab, It would blow up and send concussive force crashing into Lowe, likely blasting him forward back toward R.Apollo again. "Geez kid, don't make me work to set off these traps yeah? I've been here a while, so you can expect some fun surprises in the arena, my friend!"
(edited by Shadow-Tatsuya)
Seriously, I'm not a fucking vampire. Bloodlust is a completely different thing for me. Besides, I'm a light drinker. If I'm going to drink blood from the source, I'm not going to kill someone. Geeze, how bad do you guys think I- *Marisa sees the strings thanks to her glowing eyes* Hey, uhh...blue haired guy? There's strings sticking out of you?
that's a weird thing
The sudden dispersal of the fog alone was cause for alarm. The distant fight with supernatural powers was enough to get Nago moving. He retrieves his rucksack, and begins sliding down the mountain as fast as he can, not bothering to keep his pants or shirt clean. "Such chaotic displays amongst the peacefulness of nature is cause enough for a brief reprimand."
Jiyu stops walking once again right as he hears the voice. "Hm, so Rep was right about there being a voice in his head... Anyway, that's not the point, because number one, I'm always prepared to defend myself from anyone, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. And number two, you're saying that trusting Marisa is foolish?" Jiyu then chuckles a bit. "Only a real fool would believe what the voices inside their head say to them!" Jiyu would then turn to face Marisa, he looks behind him only to not see the strings. "Huh? What strings?"
(edited by Jiyu-Hatanaka)
AY, SAY THAT TA THE NOTE GOD MATE!
Yeah! Wait, so if the voices say that you're dieing, I shouldn't listen to them? Because that seems like a bad idea. Wait, why are we all standing here when we should help!? And those strings that are all around you! They might be invisible!? I don't know! *Marisa looks again* Wait what? But they were there!? Was I just seeing things? Whatever! *Marisa runs into the shrine* Who wants to die first...I guess!?
(edited by Marisa_Sakura)
OOC: I'm not really seeing how glowing eyes allows you to see the unseen? Keep in mind, a general sense of magic and the like isn't enough to spot those strings. They're specifically hidden by the power of someone who's got a least a fraction of a god's power, after all, I'm gonna need a better reason for it being spotted than "glowing eyes". Or I can just say to ignore your posts from now on, if it wasn't clear though, Minato's part of my plans so uh not really liking people BSing past him tbh.
*he looks at the strings and back to Marisa* Hey Marisa... do you have shears?
Lowe gets impaled through the chest by the chain, flung back and forth through the air, before flying into the mine and being blown forward back into the shrine proper. He struggled to his feet, thanks to the increased toughness he had in battle mode, he was hurt, but not dead like he should be. J-Jesus. This is what Tatsuya is like at his full strength, huh? Or, I guess you're even better. Well, doesn't matter. I can't die here! Lowe stomped the ground, a train shooting up from the ground and launching himself skyward. Pointing a finger gun at the Shadow, he'd launch several dozen railroad spikes downward at it and the Persona, if it hadn't followed him into the air.
*as Geist sneakfully evades the strings he sees Lowe in the air* You got this while I hope to Naga I won't set these off...
Okay, why would I need shears, and what are you talking about? The landmines? It's the landmines, right?
*he points to the strings that Minato Arisato left behind* I need to cut these so I can make a safe passage.
I'm a Voidwalker... a more powerful Dark Mage...
Ooc: I need sleep.
"Oh, I'm a good deal better than him! Or so I'd like to believe, hmm... I believe it's time for a switch now!" The shadow is struck by a few of the railroad spikes, most, however, are blocked by the wild spinning of a blade. Waves of shadow erupting from the weapon as he spins it, they'd cause more of the attacks to clatter toward the ground. His Persona on the other hand, flies upwards just as Lowe might expect, the shadows oozing around it might be less expected, followed by the thing quickly taking shape as a horse and chariot pulling a spearman. The horses are formed from something like shadow, with black flames making up their manes. The man is like something from Rome, save for the fact that his armor is entirely dark and his spear appears to made from the bones of shadows. "Come, and lay waste to all! HELIOS!" Finally, the Persona rushes toward Lowe. This one's even faster than R.Apollo by far, and it'd rush right for Lowe as he rides up the train, aiming to send its spear into the boy's chest, if it hit, it would attempt to pull him up and then slam it's free palm into Lowe, aiming to send him flying toward the ceiling as it rides away to a longer range. "This one came from that kid, though I've made a few upgrades to it of course! Izanami supplies decent stuff, but she's not making em just for war or anything... Of course, all my Personas are like that ya know?"
Nago has made it roughly halfway down the mountain, he can make out the figures more clearly, including the odd sideshow. The main focus of the wandering bounty hunter remained set on the two duking it out in the center. "Have they no respect for sacred places!?"
Okay then... what's going on anymore? I do know who to shoot. So...uhh...that one! *Marisa tosses a iceball at Shadow Tatsuya* Take that, you...uh...you!
The attacks were successful, Lowe's mostly defenseless in the air. He'd smack hard against the ceiling, before plummeting back down to the ground. He's not bleeding, like he probably should be, but he certainly seems worse for wear. Yep, alright. Deep end it is. He wouldn't move from that spot, Lowe only takes a knee as he simply sits still.
As the iceball flies toward him, he'd start to form a quick counter with his own magic. Only for his grin to grow even wider, seems like Minato's little game is going pretty well too... Hah, are these idiots really having such trouble with those strings? He almost wants to help given how pitiful it is, but that'd be counterproductive "You don't look so good kid, well then I guess our little game is over? Say hi to that idiot Sudou if you see him on the other side!" With that said and done, he'd rush toward Lowe in a blur, blade held above his head as the thing leers down at his foe. Finally, he'd slam it downward with inhuman speed and force, aiming to cleave Lowe's head clean off with a laugh.
(edited by Shadow-Tatsuya)
The iceball would simply hit the string and be bounced back at Marisa. Geist would also find himself tangled as the strings he saw were just some weird hallucination, I guess. The true invisible strings he definitely didn't see would cut against him as he began becoming tangled within them. "Such idiots. Do they believe they can penetrate my strings?"
Oh shit! Uhh...ice battle axe! *Marisa pulls out a battle axe guitar and plays music, which somehow snow to appear in the small room.* ...uhh... what? Did I get a Nat 20? I think I got a Nat 20.
(edited by Marisa_Sakura)
*he notices his body getting cut and seeing some things* Shit shit shit! Marisa help me!! Why do I see your mom Tiki!?! *he takes off his helmet and falls to his knees to vomit... badly due to the hallucination*
(edited by Voidwalker_Geist)
At some point before the fighting began, Alice had been following Lowe's trail and was actually able to keep up with him... before suddenly losing him and getting lost among the nearby trees. It took her until now to find her way to the shrine, probably thanks to the sounds of combat, if there even were any, and thus the site of the battle. She didn't really recognize any of the people but she did notice that Lowe wasn't among them and this had made her worry a bit. What the... Is he not here? Why else would he have come here? She kept her distance for the time being as this was, in fact, not her fight and had no idea who was fighting and for what reasons. Better to be safe and not hit one of the "good" guys than to be sorry. Though she was interested to see what was going on inside that shrine that made this place such a hot spot at the moment.
The Shadow's blade connects...but no thunk of Lowe's head rolling on the ground is heard. A closer inspection reveals that the blade is dug into Lowe's neck. Nothing more though. He's hard to damage, enough that even with the Shadow's immense strength, the blade stopped halfway through. It hadn't hit his spine, thankfully. Still, the attack was likely to be way more than fatal. Lowe looked up, blood trailing down his neck and pooling at the ground. "Huh...f-figured that woulda hurt more. T-that all ya got?! He was obviously struggling with the tough guy act. His arms were shaking, tears welling up in his eyes. Would have liked to have...stuck around a bit longer. This little t-trick takes....time. He holds out one hand, a train rising from the ground, before exploding violently, at point blank. Unfortunately for Lowe, he's not safe from his own attacks. He'd go flying, regardless of the Shadow actually being hit or not. He smacks against the ground as gravity does its work, bringing him back down to Earth from the air. His body was smoldering, smoke rising from various parts of his body. His clothes were tattered, and his heavily scarred right arm was visible. The strange aura was still rising from it, but it was almost indistinguishable from the smoke surrounding the rest of his body. Despite the obvious damages, he was still conscious. Lowe looked up, struggling to even lift his head. He looked out at the crowd outside. Those people...they were watching him die. He examined their faces, stopping at one. One face that was separated from the rest. Why was SHE here? He wanted to yell, to scream for her to run. No words could come out though. All he managed was a hack, as he coughed up something that looked to be a bit more than blood. Shit. Was he going to die? Lowe couldn't really manage anything else. He was barely clinging to life as-is. he just laid there, at the mercy of the thing he just tried to blow sky-high.
Minato would finally wander into the shrine seeing as people are starting to clear out and show up. It was about time he witnesses the events first hand. It would be a wonderful finale, after all. With a slight laugh, he walks in before drastically changing his expression. He would put on a convincing look of fear as he approaches the fight. His Persona would vanish as quickly as it appeared as he puts on his act. "W-what's going on here? W-why is there fighting in the shrine?"
The train... Hits him dead on, he'd be sent flying into the damn air and even crash into what's left of the roof, the only stopping him from going higher being a rafter that's still somehow standing. Despite that, he simply looks angry and slightly amused by the vast damage he's just been hit with. "Hahaha! Oh man, that was actually a really good one kid! Damn if I wasn't expecting less of a fight here! Alright, little boy, play time is fucking over now you're dead!" He rushes, even faster than normal as darkness flows around his right foot, he'd snicker and press down into the gash left by his blade. The black magic covering him taking the shape of razors along his foot, Chaos Tatsuya grinds them into Lowe's neck, he'd laugh and press in a bit harder while glaring down at the boy. "I might look your age kid, but I know everything that other one does and then some! I've got all his skills, even more, power, and none of those stupid morals that are holding him back! And you dared to stand against me? Hah! I admire your balls, but I'm still gonna end ya for it!" Finally, he'd raise his foot up once more, rather than tiny razors this time his magic shapes into a wicked looking cleaver blade going down from the middle of his shoe. He'd aim to send it flying straight downward, pushing the thing into the gash once again, and finally once his kick loses its force, he'd shoot the blade downward with magic, rushing it off his foot and sending it flying down with even more force to hopefully slice off Lowe's head entirely. Then, he'd turn to the audience of this little show with a grin on his face... Heh, he should be able to help Minato out here too actually. "Good evening everyone! Did you enjoy tonight's showing? It was a pretty good duel if I say so myself! And all thanks to my nifty little power, not sure if anyone else can see it, but I've got a cute skill that's been letting me keep you bastards from getting involved. Anyways, please don't hold your applause!" "Got a skill", hopefully their little minds will link him to the strings... He's not looking to keep the heat off himself, so if he can gather up the attacks Minato should be getting? All the better.
Hmm? Wait...father said something about this Minato guy. Blue hair, pretty emotionless. This guy, he doesn't sound so emotionless. Then again, that's just dad, but...she hasn't been wrong yet, and my intuition is acting up, so... *Marisa points her axe at Minato* You're the one pulling the strings, aren't you!? OOC: just an expression.
Minato's eyes would be fearful of the brutal assault as well as the evil looking man with the shadowy eyes. This was only his external expression though. On the inside, he'd be smiling and laughing.Nifty powers? He knew of those abilities very well, they were his own. Nobody had any way of knowing of his deeds though. In his mind, he'd be thanking Tatsy for his assistance. He was the kind of shadow who really enjoyed observing the effects of his "fun" from the shadows. What a marvelous show this turned out to be as well. Of course, these were only his internal emotions. He would look fearfully at the axe while backing up. "I-I'm just a high school student. I come to this shrine regularly to pray for good grades. What do you mean by strings? And what's with that axe?!?"
(edited by Minato_Arisato)
With some of the fighting starting to die down outside, Alice was able to get a view inside the shrine. When she finally saw Lowe on his knees inside the shrine she could care less for what the others were doing, more worried about what was happening to her friend. Lowe is in there! But he's down? Watching the man come down on the back of his neck, she couldn't help but cry out and burst forward from the trees. She wouldn't go inside the shrine but she'd make her presence known and stand beside the ones who were fighting this Minato boy. LOWE!!!!
The man sneers at Marisa, pulling the strings? Tch, he'll have to kill her soon enough. Bar that, he'll toss her down into good ole Nyarly's world with the fucking shadows. Either way, he'll play damage control here. "Pulling the strings? Don't be stupid you brat, if anything angers me it's being called a damn puppet! I'm doing this shit for one simple reason little girl..." He'd chuckle darkly and raise a hand to her, his eyes dancing with something akin to flames as he shouts at the girl. "Two reasons actually! One is just because I enjoy watching the life drain from somebody's eyes! Two... Is because this is power, it's all about proving I'm stronger than you people. My strength is outmatched by few beings, and one of these days I'll surpass them all! My power will be absolute, so why the hell shouldn't I do whatever I feel like?" He'd then look at Minato with a grin, to anyone else he'd likely just seem amused... The other Shadow should know where he's heading with this though. "But go ahead little girl, cut that boy down! I couldn't care less about some innocent person's life after all, hell maybe if you do things like that enough you'll see things my way? Chaos can always use more allies!"
Everything is spinning around... *out of something in a sci-fi horror film, he vomits out a freaky ass worm* https://www.destinypedia.com/images/thumb/7/74/Destiny-TTK-Worm-Extraction.png/300px-Destiny-TTK-Worm-Extraction.png
Lowe was...well what exactly happened to him doesn't need to be said. One spectator, who had gone unseen until now, spoke up. "I appreciate you leaving the boy in at least two pieces, but I've seen enough. I swear, creations of THAT one never cease to amaze me with how incredibly uncouth they are." In a whirl of black energy, a figure would appear in the shrine. He sat on an ornate silver chair, padded with red velvet. He wore a black suit, his legs crossed and hands folded neatly. His green hair went down to his shoulders, and his sharp eyes pierced those he turned them on. The new arrival would glance at what remained of Lowe, and then turn to the Shadow responsible for it. He hadn't moved yet, but his presence was incredibly oppressive, and he didn't even seem to be trying.
Nago finally makes it down the mountain, his clothes torn, but his rucksack fairly untouched. He bolts toward the source of the commotion he had witnessed. He finds himself inside the shrine with the rest of the group. "I demand an explanation as to what has been going on while I was making my way here!" He sees the body, and he gets enough information. "So... you have committed such a horrendous act on soil sacred to God. Such a crime is unforgivable." He retrieves an odd knuckle looking device from his jacket, and points it at the group. "You... with the axe... and you... standing over the corpse. Identify yourselves now. As for the strange man in the chair, I request that you do not interfere with my business."
Minato would quickly look to Nago with tears in his eyes. His expression would say he's scared helpless but inside he was smirking. "H-help me please...I'm just a student! I was visiting the shrine to pray for good grades when this random girl started holding an axe up to me! P-please...I think she's going to kill me!"
Oh yeah!? Well then, let me just... *Marisa pulls out a small book and flips the pages* Let's see...Minato... Persona user... usually emotionless... *She puts the book away* You're not Minato, are you!? I'm definitely going to need to thank father for this book later. Anyways, what kind of normal high school student would come to this broken shrine!? Hell, I'm pretty sure I don't recognize that uniform from any of the schools in the area! You're done in! All these facts lead me to believe you're another shadow thingy! What do you have to say to that!? *While she was talking, she was subtly healing Lowe with her magic traveling along the ground through the cracks in the floor of the shrine up to his location* I'm Marisa Sakura, and I'm here to find out what the hell is going on! I'm only going to hurt someone when I actually know if I should hurt them for a damn good reason or not.
(edited by Marisa_Sakura)
*he coughs badly from the little freakshow that exited out of his windpipe* Don't listen to the BS that is running off that dude's mouth! He's a shadow!
The boy would put on a confused look as if he just heard a load of made up facts. "I never even said my name was Minato! And this shrine is just close to my house! W-why are you accusing me of being a monster!?!" He would begin crying as he drops to his knees.
Because I have evidence to back up my claims! *She pulls out the book again and flips to the same page as before* See, right here! There's a picture of you, and some general information! Also, like I said, that uniform is a dead giveaway! If you can explain you're uniform, then maybe you're telling the truth!
Nago keeps the knuckle at the ready. His eyes trained on the two suspects, but one does fall to Minato. "This shrine has clearly been abandoned for quite some time. Furthermore, if all is as I believe it to be, there is no education here to BE studying for. Who are you people really? Why do you desecrate the Lord's holy ground as such?"
It's not like I wanted to in the first place! Fighting was happening, so I had to see what was going on! Of course, I couldn't stop the murder from happening! However, I believe that there's not one, but two culprits to this murder! And my lead suspect is that blue haired guy I'm pointing my axe at!
He turns to the annoying... Whatever this is, geez is he gonna have to get serious tonight after all? Bah, might be time for a trip back to the world of shadows soon here, this is starting to look like Izanami's wheelhouse... He might be obsessed with power, but he ain't stupid. Still, he's feeling pretty confident for now. "Yeah, I'm sure we're too uncouth and all that crap. Whatever asshole, I'm not scared just because you can toss around an aura of oppression without trying, anybody could pull that off if they're not pitiful." He's not bluffing, in seconds the Shadow's matching up with the oppressive force given off by this person with nothing but a grin on his face and his arms behind his head. He'd then casually look at Nago and laugh, okay he'll identify himself. "Call me... Shit man, I don't even have a good name for myself, but just call me Suou I guess. The other one hates being called by that name, so it'll do for me. As for my crimes? Trust me, I've done worse buddy." OOC: I am getting sick of making call outs, but here we are kids. C.Minato didn't even say his damn name, I seriously question this one knowing everything Star would tbh, but I'll let it slide. That being said, at this point I'm calling it noncanon. These are some flimsy ass reasons to call somebody a Shadow, and I've given out one warning about this crap tonight already. Marisa and Geist are both gone from this thread. So says me, the GM. Cease thy fuckery.
Nago concentrates the knuckle squarely on Suou. "Whatever your crimes are, I do not care. You have desecrated this holy place with your vile actions. That much alone is enough for your life to be returned to God. Please think upon the lives you have taken. As for your insistence on 'Other one' I can assume there is more than one of you. That much I can understand. As for your disdain for him, I will heartily presume he and I will happily get along."
Stand down, good sir. This is a matter outside of your control. He would turn to the women outside, Marisa and Alice. Firstly, the annoying one. Ah, the child of THAT one. Give your mother my regards, if you would; and please, keep your nose out of matters that don't concern you. You have a place and a role, mind them. He'd next turn to Alice, and smile. Do not worry my dear, all will be right soon. Lastly, the creature in the shrine. I do not care for The Crawling Chaos, nor what he has planned. I don't have the most time in the world, so I would appreciate it if you refrained from killing my puppets anymore. In fact, I should erase your very existence right here and now simply for wasting my time. However, you provided me with some interesting data, so consider it a favor to your creator that you'll be leaving this place of your own accord, and not being forcibly sent back to the pit you were created in. He unfolds his hand, and turns his head to what remained of Lowe. With the point of a finger, the head and body were connected once more, and everything that was knocked out of place was forcibly repaired. It was...difficult to watch. With the flick of that same finger, Lowe was cast outside of the shrine, bypassing the string barrier if it remained, and right onto the ground in front of Alice. You. The boy cares about you deeply. Take him somewhere. If he dies again, the master may not allow me to be merciful a third time.
Yeah, whatever. You know what? Screw it, yeah. This doesn't concern me. I'm leaving. *Marisa walks out of the shrine and off the scene*
"Heh, erase me? You can try, but I'm not that easily done away with pal... if you want me dead, then fight me asshole, otherwise, it won't work." He sounds entirely sure of that fact as if erasing him is no more simple than erasing The Crawling Chaos... It's not, though alas he will be just as gone as any other Shadow were he to die. Minato may have fancy tricks and strings, but what he's got is the raw force and the power to force people into taking it on the hard way... Still, if this guy can do that much, chances are fighting him isn't a great idea, even more with all the back up around. "That being said, I guess I'll leave it alone for now! Know this though, if that fool steps foot in the world of Chaos and dies? His soul belongs to my creator, that much isn't open to debate, but so long as he's not in our way... We'll leave it be. Bye bye for now everyone!" With that, some inky darkness bursts from the man, it'd take the shape of a black door that's already opened. Chaos Tatsuya leaning back and falling through it, long before anyone can step in with him, the door is gone just as fast as it appeared. Well, that was quite enlightening, wasn't it? Bah, Nyarlathotep will be interested with this info no doubt.
Alice is just... utterly confused at this point. She had started off scared before becoming defensive and somewhat resentful at this clearly powerful man who just executed her friend but that quickly turned to confusion as this new man came forth and began explaining things she had no understanding of. "I-I... what the?" She simply watched as this "FH" worked his magic into... uh, putting Lowe back together and placing him before her. She listened to his words but was unsure how to feel about them, especially the last part about how he cares for her. Of course she was also fearful for what might happen if she did decide to whisk Lowe to safety, afraid that this mystery assailant would pursue her and grant her the same death he gave Lowe. Putting her trust into the man that entrusted Lowe to her, as well as being brave enough to face the consequences of her actions should they result in a fight at this time, Seraph descended upon her and picked Lowe up while she got atop the persona's shoulders. "Uhm... Thank you sir, I'll take him somewhere safe and keep watch over him." Unless interrupted or stopped mid-flight, Alice would pay no more attention to any of the other bystanders and quickly depart. She was just happy that her friend was seemingly alright and she was given the chance to escape with him in one piece.
Nago watches as his two apparent foes depart from the premises, he puts the knuckle away. He follows out the body, and the girl chasing it, but not before leaving a quick remark. "I shall remember this, both this boy's death, and you saving him. On his behalf, I thank you." He walks out to the now ascending Seraph, and calls out to it. "You there! Hold a moment!"
FH was as both parties departed. The girl with Lowe, and the Shadow to god-knows-where. Well, he did, actually; but it wasn't worth pursuing him. The man stood up, striding over to the spot Lowe was decapitated in, and bends down. There it is. The Black Band. A shame its wielder perished like that, but the boy's resonance with it was impossible to deny. It might be worth giving back to him at some point, though for now he was no better than any normal boy his age. This is getting complicated. Perhaps I owe the mortals an explanation now. As he said that he would vanish without another word.
