Team Mage Publicity Stunt
*Marisa calls her teammates to Star's Shrine, along with her new "associate".*
Junpei hears a call for the Mages! Throwing on his flamboyant jacket and doing a little spin before entering the shrine Yo! Marisa! Your crib is pretty rad! What we doing today?!?
We're robbing the Yakuza! You see, we need money in order to do anything, and we're actually on a tight budget, so I thought we could extend that budget and pull off a publicity stunt at the same time. So...here we are now. I've got the plans all ready for when we go and pull off the heist.
Junpei's eyes widen as his cap nearly falls off his head from the sudden stop, taking a second to recompose himself before responding H-hold on about this! Are you sure about this!?! The Yakuza aren't exactly the easiest bunch to rob! I've had my fair share of encounters with shady people! Then again, if we do this right we could probably get some mad publicity! Junpei then takes a second to think, pacing around the room before lighting up Alright, why not! Just tell me what to do!
Okay, here's the plan...we go to the Yakuza, and then we just cause hell after slipping through the air vents. We keep slipping through the vents, causing as much chaos as possible to smoke the Yakuza out. The police will arrive on the scene and arrest the Yakuza, meanwhile we make it out of there with the money. I've already got a map of the place, along with the vent works. I was able to figure out how to turn the fans off inside by using a spell or two. So...good plan? Oh, and we're going to film what we did so we can show that we did it and get publicity.
Hmm! Well alright! Perhaps StopAmateur cameras? We can probably link it up to a live stream! Wouldn't that be sick? Well, I'm ready when you are! Do we have an escape plan? How about the Magemobile? Ooh! We roll up! Mask up! Then we cause mayhem! We'll be the modern day Robin Hood! When do we start?
We start...right now! *Cue montage of the two suiting up and making their way over to the Yakuza hideout in the Mage-Mobile* Okay, so, you ready to rob the Yakuza?
WHAT! Well okay! In the montage scenes of Junpei grabbing his gear is sean, as well as spray painting a new ballistic mask with red, pink and blue, the passionate colors of fire! Whipping it around to cool faster as he enters the Magemobile and rides to the heist! Alright! That took less time then I expected! Let's scope the place out first yeah! No use barging in without info! So let's go! With that Junpei jumps out of the car and walks around the building, trying to find entrances, keeping his bat concealed and ready to roll if he's caught!
Right. Still, good thing I bought this little thing using some of our budget. *Marisa pulls out a computer watch and puts it on* Okay, let's see. Guards are only on the inside, they can't see anything on the outside. Makes sense, would be kinda suspicious otherwise. Hmm...okay, there's a vent on top that we'll use to get in. Naturally, I have a plan. There's a ladder that's used for maintenance to the side of the building. We'll bust the lock that's on it and climb up to the roof, where the vent is. Then we just get in and stick with the plan. Nothing could go wrong! Wait, shit, I just jinxed it.
As if cementing this reversal of fortune, a large shadow passes overhead and snow starts to fall down on the two members of Team Mage. A rope looking to be made of snow falls to the ground and three silhouettes descend from the sky, one sliding down the rope and the other two falling from the sky. The three figures land ceremoniously and a large spotlight shines down on one from the shadow overhead, revealing Delta in his Weeper outfit. He dramatically points his finger at Team Mage and makes a declaration. Things have been a little too quiet here, don't you think? It's time we shake these point totals up. We, the Weepers, challenge you to a match right here, right now. The stakes are just 200 points, so what do you say?
...shit, uhh...well, that depends. What are we being challenged to? Because if it's a fight, then no. It's three on two, we're going to go down easily. so... what's the challenge?
Ene
(A large spotlight then shines down on Ene illuminating her new team outfit. With a hand dramatically over her face she completes her debut by tossing a rose to Junpei.) Prepare for trouble~ (A wide smile appears on her face and she winks after saying this.)
Landing on the ground with his teammates, Kalib adjusts his glasses which causes them to take on a menacing glare under the spotlight. He just smirks at the other team with his hand holding his glasses in place. "And make it double!"
(edited by imtherealklib)
[Joseph hides behind a wall of a random building, watching the others do their thing.] "Ooh, is a fight about to take place?"
Ene
Hahahaha~ (Ene opens her arms wide as her hair flies to an imaginary breeze.) To protect the world from devastation~
A young man, after hearing the ruckus, decides to check it out from a nearby building. He takes out his notebook and a pencil. He also looks around, seeing some spectators, eyeing Joseph skeptically for a few seconds before going back to watching the fight about to transpire. What could people be doing at a time and place like this...? Very well, this could be a good chance to analyze the fighters... Cal, you ready? [Pascal]: Ready to scan frame data.
"Heheh!" Kalib swings his left arm to the side and produces a rose from his sleeve, bringing it to his nose. "To unite all peoples within our nation!"
Ene
(Bringing one fist up and the other arm pointing out to the other team, Ene now wears a serious gaze.) To denounce the evils of truth and love!
Kalib discards his rose before mirroring Ene's pose, his grin now gone. "To extend our reach to the stars above!"
Ene
(Ene finally jumps up with both arms up in joy.) Ene! (She skillfully lands with a twirl of herself and her two pigtails.)
Kalib stomps his right foot forward as he crosses his arms, a smug expression on his face. "Kalib!" He flashes another grin as he speaks his name.
Ene
Team Weepers blasts off at the speed of light! (Ene poses against Kalib with her front facing to the left and her arms wrapped over her chest.)
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" Kalib mirrors Ene's pose once more. His glasses carry the malevolent glint once again as the spotlight catches them.
Shaking his head at the start of this, Delta gives in to the whims of his team and jumps in front of Kalib and Ene. Flipping and landing on one knee, he finishes it off. I'm Delta, He stands up and kicks in Team Mage's direction, holding the pose. and that's right. As for the challenge, we caught wind of your plans to rob the Yakuza over the Internet. While those guys aren't the type to normally be getting my protection you can't just go around stealing from criminals. It makes you no better than them. So stake you're points on it. We'll let you go and take their cash since you're streaming this live. Once we see you've got the money, we'll be playing the cops to your robbers, so to speak. If we manage to knock you both out, or keep you here until the real police arrive, consider it our victory. If you both manage to get away with the money then we lose. Sound simple enough? Like Karagi said, no killing, so don't think you can go taking any of the Yakuza hostage.
Junpei watches the enemy team jump out, catching the rose thrown his way by Ene and staring at it, before shaking himself out of it and spinning his cap around to the back of his head, pointing his bat at them Alright! We accept! There is no way we are gonna lose to you! Team Mage is gonna be the best team ever! Just you watch us! Rules sound good to me! I wouldn't take a hostage anyway! It's not exactly manly! Well, at any rate, I'm ready to roll! Ready? Junpei then reaches into his jacket and throws on his mask, covering his face but not his hat luckily, pink all over with one camera right in the center of it Let's get our payday!
(edited by Ace_Defective)
...hmm...okay, seems fair. Wait, hold on, what!? How did you even find anything relating to our plans!? Grr...damn it. Well, fine then. These rules are okay with me. However! I would appreciate it if there's one more rule. No messing with the getaway vehicle! Seriously, it's expensive to repair. Thankfully, I brought a good deal of rope to tie the Yakuza up with in the trunk. Should buy us more time, but we'll have to plan things carefully... *Marisa opens the trunk and grabs the rope inside.* Once the both of us have money, you can call the police. That way things are a bit more fair. In fact, we'll even call you up and tell you when we have the money, just so things are even more fair. We have a map for the inside of this place, so we have an advantage indoors. Does this sound good to you?
(edited by Marisa_Sakura)
Well, that sounds agreeable with me. Putting his foot down before continuing, Delta looks at them and gives a thumbs up. When you're planning a secret heist, it's better to not set up a notification for the live stream an hour before you're set to go. Good luck to you two, you'll need it. Oh, we also need to do something with our Braver tickets. Since this is a bit spur of the moment, I'll give you ours. When all is said and done you can give it back when this is over. Got to make this official, right? Reaching around in one of his pockets, Delta produces a blue ticket that he hands to Marissa.
Hehe! Alright! Sounds good! I'm going first then! Smell ya later! With that snide remark, Junpei runs and tries to get to the cash where ever it is! Let's get this going!
Okay. Well, may the better team win! *Marisa breaks the lock off the ladder and heads up to the roof.* suddenly, a timeskip of one hour happens *A ringing can be heard from Delta's phone as he gets a text from Marisa* "Call the police, we've got the money and are on our way outside"
(edited by Marisa_Sakura)
Without a second to lose, Delta calls the local police force and the game begins. Let's do this people. Ene, this is Yakuza headquarters we're dealing with here so they've got to have security cameras set up. Assuming those two didn't take them all down, I want you to find the security room and get their location. Kalib, you and I need to stop them from leaving the building. Let's get moving, the clock is ticking. Leaving it there, Delta starts running to the entrance of the building. He opens the door and motions for the others to get through. I'm freezing the door once we're inside, they'll have some trouble getting past that.
"So I just gotta keep them in here, huh? I'll take upstairs!" Kalib smiles confidently as he dashes into the building, blue card in hand. "Roland! Let's lock them down! Maeagion!" In a brilliant flash of blue flames, Kalib and Roland begin to make a break for the roof while coating any doors leading to the outisde in a layer of darkness, nothing a little bit of elbow grease won't fix. Upon reaching the door to the roof, Kalib holds his postion.
Ene
Aye Aye Captain! (Faithfully bowing to Delta, she makes her way past the open door and begins running to the security room. Along the way Ene finds a power box and blasts it with electricity effectively destroying most of the lighting within the bank.) This is gonna be a fun game of hide and seek too~ (Ene smiles at her genius idea as the lights of the bank slowly turn off. She continues forward into the darkness with nothing but her personal circuits to light the way.)
Okay Junpei, here's the plan. *Marisa pauses the Livestream at that point, so as to make sure Delta and Co don't know where they are* We're going to go through the vents again. They're probably going to go looking for the security room to see where we are, but the vents will make it so they don't know much about our location. They probably also are going to search and pin us down, so make sure to be as stealthy as possible, got it? *Marisa climbs into a nearby vent along with her briefcase of cash* Stay silent, and make sure that if you do get caught to head for the front door.
Reaching the room with all the money, Junpei unpacks a gym bag and stuffs it full of cash before slinging it over his back, getting a devious plan he summons his persona and tears a little page from a manga book, making a little hand sign as the page rises and becomes engulfed by flames, forming a near perfect clone of Junpei made of fire! With the clone, he takes another bag and fills it with extra fireballs before zipping it up, to any unsuspecting copper it would appear like a bag of cash, hopefully distracting one of them as the duo looks around for potential exits Alright! I suppose that's a solid plan! I'll send my little buddy here to distract them! Here we go! Without another word, Junpei takes his place behind Marisa and follows her through the vents, the fire clone taking the more obvious route towards the main entrance
With his team inside the building, Delta dons an icy blue mask and places his hand on the front door. With a blue flash the door, and the walls surrounding it are not only frozen, but covered in a thick layer of ice. And that takes care of one problem for now. I wonder... Taking some time to cast another ice spell, Delta makes statues of himself and Kalib looking menacing to guard the door. In the dimness of the back-up lights thanks to Ene messing with the power, they'd hopefully fool their opposition if they slopped past. Now if I were trying to escape me where would I go...? With nothing to lose, he swaps his mask and heads down the hall, likely to meet with the Junpei clone.
Ene
(Arriving at the security room and looking a bit winded. Ene quickly gets to work checking all the individual security camera screen yet she finds nothing. She is able able to see her fellow comrades and the many dim halls of the place. But nothing else of any really note leaving her a bit frustrated.) Humph~ Well there goes this plan ... (Ene thinks for a moment.) So what next? (Her hand suddenly comes down on her other open palm.) Oh I know! I should find captain and just ask~ (She begins making her way back to the main entrance. Possibly coming across the Junpei clone along the way.)
Kalib grins as the lights go off for a moment, they come back on albeit dimmer. He walks swiftly out the door and onto the roof before summoning Roland once more. "Alright buddy. And now, we wait." The pair begin patrolling the roof, making note of any escape routes towards the ground.
*Marisa moves through the vents without a sound, heading for the roof of the building. Hopefully the entire enemy team wouldn't be waiting for her when she got up there. It'll take a bit of time, but hopefully she would get out before the others knew what was going on*
The real Junpei continues down the vent while he takes deep breaths, being cooped up in a vent with the stuffy mask and gear was pretty hot Gah! Should have invested in air holes! Meanwhile the fire clone continues down the hallway, using itself for light it manages to spy Delta and Ene, both of them seing the clone dash to the side and run to a side room, hiding for the time being
The roof seemed relatively uneventful for the time being as Kalib and Roland did their rounds. However that all changed when the faintest murmur coming from...well the only place he could wager sound could carry, the vents. With a soft laugh and a wry grin, Kalib and Roland move over to the ventilation system. "It has been chilly lately...so what's the harm in cranking up the heat? Alright, Inferno! But hold back, okay Roland?" The paladin nods as he grabs the ventilation system in his large arms. Roland brings his face down to the opening of the vent and begins spewing a rather tame torrent of flames into the shaft. It certainly wasn't going to do tons of damage, but boy is it gonna suck for anyone inside.
Encountering Ene, Delta begins to address her before stopping at the sight of the Junpei clone. Watching him duck into a side room, he stops and trashes the time to ask End a question. Ene, what did you see on the security feed? Briefly summoning Satan, he sends a dark pool of Almighty magic to sit outside the door to the room the Junpei clone ran into. Should he step out, a myriad of magically constructed snakes would rise for the puddle and sink the fangs into him. All it all it'd be quite painful. I sealed the entrance so they aren't getting out from there without a lot of work. Where else do you think might they try and escape from besides the roof? Kalib's got that under control.
Ene
(Ene awkwardly laughs at her lack of information as her gazes shift off to the side.) Well I found nothing of note on the screens ... I tried my best but they just weren't there. (She nervously taps her two index fingers together.) Are you sure we are not dealing with ghosts or something? If so then they probably have their own sneaking method.
Hmm? Hey, you hear something? *Marisa notices the light of the flames bouncing around the vents and drops down from the venting system a little too late, getting burnt halfway* Nng...deal...with...pain...must not...reveal... location...ahh... Junpei, if you're fireproof, then keep taking the vent. I'll head up through the door. *Marisa runs for the door to the roof, not being very far from it at that point* "if we pull this off just right, we might not have to worry about running out of time... hopefully...but damn these burns hurt. Wait, is that a...? Oh this could come in handy. Good thing these thing are around." *Marisa grabs a fire extinguisher on the way, having a bit of trouble carrying it and the briefcase at the same time* "Okay...now how do I use it? Eh, screw it. I can probably threaten whoever is up there with this if they use fire. Still, I'm just glad fire hazards are a serious problem, otherwise this wouldn't be here probably."
Junpei feels the heat getting closer and closer, however it's only when Marisa warns him does he finally realize the danger Gah! Who flushes fire down the vents! Junpei begins to back out, however when he gets hit by the flames, it only washes over him harmlessly, knowing now that he nulls fire, he continues to crawl, withstanding the heat, eventually exiting and maybe being face to face with Roland Meanwhile the clone sees the diversion was not effective, moving to the doorway and just barely seeing the trap, staying out of the doorway for the time being, he takes off the bag and pulls out an orb and begins to swing one right to Delta and another to Ene with a bat made of fire, exploding on contact! Whether or not they hit is unknown, but it's sure to cause some mayhem!
Without a second thought, Delta steps in front of Ene and takes the hit for her, avoiding the one aimed at him in the process. His hands were raised to take the brunt of the hit, and he keeps them at the ready in case clone Junpei attempts another assault. That would have hurt a lot more if I hadn't switched to Satan earlier... I trust you're ok Ene? He can't get out of the room, and I think he realized this, so our best bet is to see where he came from. With any luck we'll find where his partner went. Come on. Motioning for her to stay behind him, Delta tries following the path he believes the clone took. His mask disappears and he doesn't look as worries about the fire anymore.
"Congratulations!" Kalib speaks from behind Roland, who was glaring at Junpei. "You're the first customer to leave through this vent today! Come on out and claim your prize! Roland, give the poor guy a hand!" Quickly lunging forward with his right hand, Roland makes a grab for Junpei's collar and heaves him out of the vent. Suspending him in the air for a moment and moving his grip to hold his shoulders, Kalib grabs for the duffel bag in Junpei's possession. "Thank you for your patronage! Please do come again!" Kalib gives a large bow before standing and pointing to the door of the roof. "You can get rid of the deadweight, buddy." Roland nods before winding up and tossing Junpei through the door. Probably making a fair bit of noise. "I sure hope he's okay..."
Ene
C-Captain! (Ene is momentarily awed by Delta's bravery in protecting her and small tears form at the edges of her eyes. Both of her hands clap together in a show of excitement and she suddenly shouts.) That has to be one of the coolest things anyone has ever done for me! Thank you dear captain~ (She then notices Delta's order and falls in line for him with full intention to protect if needed. However, a sudden noise breaks her focus.) What was that?
*Marisa reaches the door and opens it, ducking under Junpei if he gets grabbed and tossed* Allah fuck you! *Marisa tosses the fire extinguisher at Kalib and runs at him, dropping her briefcase as she goes in for a punch to the face*
As Junpei exits, he is met face to face with a congratulations Ooh! What did I win? As Roland picks him up and throws him towards the door, he reckons his question is answered, comically hitting his head on the floor and getting up with stars before shaking it off! Hehe! No worries pal! You just won yourself a ticket to the ball game! With a quick summon, Junpei runs forth with his persona right behind him, eventually splitting, Trismegetus flying to the side and trying for a side tackle while Junpei aims to knock Kalib's lights out! If everything went according to Keikaku, Kalib would fall face first into the swing! --- Meanwhile the clone sees it's mistake and begins to impact the wall next to the doorway, it'll take some time to make a hole, but he's determined!
Kalib does the logical thing as he sees a fire extinguisher being tossed in his direction and catches it with ease. His eyes finally see the pitcher, albeit a moment too late. Her fist reaches Kalib's face right between the eyes, cracking the lenses on his glasses. The sun catches the glass in a way that doesn't allow Marisa to see the look on his face and he lets out a sigh. "You know....that wasn't very nice." Looking over her shoulder, Kalib could see Junpei begin his assault and summon his persona. Another sigh escapes his lips as the air begins to grow warm around the trio. "Two against oooooone? Nooooo faaaaaair!" A sly grin stretches from one cheek to the other as he laughs softly. "Just kidding! Roland, together now! BURST!" The paladin appears between Kalib and the incoming Trismegetus before the air reaches a near boiling point. Then, in a flash, there comes an explosion from between Kalib and his persona. The wave of energy would blast back Marisa the most, but merely knock Junpei's persona off course. Kalib and Roland stand uninjured by the force and look on at their foes. "Now then...shall we start round two?"
At this rate, I don't think I can really go along with this, considering these always happen either really late at night for me or when i'm sleeping. I'm also very sick right now, so even if it was during live hours for me, I probably wouldn't do much.
Taking notice of the sounds of a confrontation above, Delta takes a moment to let out a slight chuckle. It sounds like Kalib's hit the jack pot. I think we can assume their other team member is on the roof trying to escape. Let's say we go join the party Ene. Ignoring the Junpei clone's attack on the wall to the room it's in, Delta starts running in search of a set of stairs. He keeps his pace slow enough for Ene to keep up as he makes his way through the building.
Ene
Finally we get some action! Ene gleefully smiles as she runs behind Delta. She even passes him in pace only to stop and wait in embarrassment. Where were the stairs again boss?
Woah! *Marisa, while being blown back by the force, gets slammed into the wall with the door.* Heh...oww...is that all you've got? *Marisa gets up, a little shaken up* I've gotten used to dealing with being blown back. *Marisa runs up to Kalib and attempts to hit him in the back of the head with her tome, hoping the weight would be enough to knock him out, at the very least daze him long enough to grab the money and run.*
The explosion from Kalib merely knocks Junpei off course, not singing him in the slightest, however it does prevent him from striking on the mark, missing and jumping back Hehe alrighty! Strike one! I won't miss next time! Let's see you dodge this! With another blast of his evoker he sends Trismegistus in front of him, this time instead of attack he makes the persona spin with its wings, causing a large amount of force to prevent Kalib from advancing as Junpei cusps his hands as energy gathers, you know what this means! --- Meanwhile the clone continues to smash, gonna take 1 more turn till the wall breaks apart! Better be ready when it does!
Delta would stop in his tracks at the question and give the answer I... actually don't know. They've got to be somewhere near one of the building's ends right? I was kind of expecting to get lucky with my guesses... But now that you mention it, we really should be more worried about getting to the roof in time. Grab my hand, Ene. We're in for a bumpy ride. Awaiting for the girl to follow his instructions, a dark blue mask appears on his face. If/When Ene takes his outstretched hand, he'd pull her somewhat close and summon Satan by ripping the mas off with his other hand. The judge of God would rise from a dark portal beneath them, clutching the two within one of it's arms. With a loud bellow of power, the Persona would rip through the ceiling and burst through to the roof, taking to the skies before depositing Delta and Ene down away from Kalib and Team Mage.
Kalib, who was watching the pair, follows Marisa as she attempts to run towards him. He quickly tosses Roland the fire extinguisher he had in his arms as Marisa goes for her strike. "Beating me over the head with the book, huh? Glad to see some things never change." He catches her wrists as she goes to bring down the hefty tome, and he does a quick spin before launching her away. "Alright Roland. You only got one shot at this..." Kalib looks over to Junpei once more, his persona creating a fair gap between the two. However, if Kalib was one thing, it was resourceful. "Maeigaon!" Several tendrils of darkness wrap around the fire extinguisher Roland held. He let it dangle loosely as Kalib produced the short sword from the sheath on his back. Standing next to the dangling red canister he couldn't help but grin at Junpei. "Here comes fortune and fame, 'cause I know I'll be the star..." He taps the blade against the ground like a batter preparing for the pitch. "...at the old..." He stands and winds up for the swing. "...ball..." He swings his blade at the top of the canister, causing a huge stream of pressure to be released. "...game." Roland would spin a few times and orient the tendrils length to allow the fire extinguisher to get past the force of Trismegetus, almost creating an orbit, a parabola. Once past the barrier, the force of the extinguisher would have it barreling towards the now focused Junpei.
Ene
Grabbing Delta's hand she closes her eyes for the rest of the ride and opens them once she sense ground again. Well that was fun! Brushing off some imaginary dirt she then raises both fists up with a determined look. All ready to beat some baddies here! So let's see who to get first ... She notices Marisa. Eeenie meenie miney you~ You look kind of nice so lets dance~ Both her hand light up with blue sparks as she waits to see if Marisa takes her challenge.
