Hi. Don't mind me, just trying to find my place among the community. I tend to just lurk, but we'll see if I can become a more active member somehow. Feel free to call me Delta, M, Delta-M or whatever other name you come up with... within reason.

Goodbye for the last time
I honestly didn't expect myself to make a goodbye post this late in the game, but reading some others has me inspired to cap things off properly in my own way. Discovering the site all those years ago while I was still in college, I could have never dreamed how ingrained in my life it'd become. As many can guess, I'm not the best at staying active in communities like this, and this even extends to keeping in touch with friends I don't get to see on a regular basis. Yet I managed to maintain a sort of consistency here for about the first half of the site's life give or take, and form bonds with way more people here than I'd ever give myself credit for. While some have moved on and others are still easy enough to talk with on discord, I'm eternally grateful for the myriad of site users I've gotten the chance to interact with. From avid fans of Symphogear, crafters of cyphers for people to have fun trying to solve, the shitposters, the rpers and everyone in between, it's been a pleasure. I truly mean that no matter what rough spots of the site's history could be brought up. As with others I have too many people I could mention in particular with memories of good times we shared on one day or another. If we've been cool, you probably know who you are. Thanks for being you and dealing with me being myself. This is as good a time as any to address the elephant in the room for those that know. My increasingly frequent bouts of hiatuses. To say my life has changed a lot since those early days would be a gross understatement, as I'm sure it would be for anyone that's been here since those times. From school to getting a crappy job at Amazon and a whole lot more after, there were just ever increasing reasons for me to not be around. There's a lot I've missed during those absences, and a lot of "newer" users I never got a chance to really meet because of it too. Nevertheless, I'm grateful for what I was able to do with the time I did make. And even more so, I can't stress how much I appreciate not being forgotten. I'm not going to suddenly become more active on discord because the site's going away, but being remembered despite everything and still having a place here is more than I feel I deserve. I can't thank you all enough for that. I think that gets across most of what I'd want to in a goodbye post for the site. I've had a ton of fun on the number of accounts I've made use of over the years. From Misturu to Mido, Sonic and Plush Morgana too, I'll be able to look back on those times with a smile probably for the rest of my life. Here's a throwback for those that've been here a while. This is Delta signing off with Operation G.O.O.D.B.Y.E. Giving One Outward Display Befitting Your Ending Take care guys. The community lives strong past the death of this website. Don't be sad it's gone, be happy it happened.
Delta's Dojo
On the outskirts of the city lies a large building, a martial arts dojo once thought to be abandoned. Now, it's master stands at the top of the steps to it, sweeping away the snow near the entrance. He doesn't seem appropriately dressed for the weather all things considered, wearing his training gi with cloth wrapped around his feet, and an icy blue mask on his face. The barest hint of snow falls around him, and he sighs before placing his broom by the door. No rest for the wicked as they say. With a sigh he waves his right hand past his face and dismisses the mask. Slightly shivering, he creates a small flame in his hand and tosses it to the ground. Without warning it suddenly expands and makes it's way across the steps. The snow quickly evaporates and the wrappings on his feet burn away before he quells the flames with a wave of his hand. With that out of the way for now, he returns inside, forgetting his broom by the sliding door.
A Devil in the Mountains? An Unlikely Meeting Between Hunter and Persona User
Deep in the mountains near the city, a monstrous cry can be heard and for a split second, the form of what could only be described as Satan can be seen above the trees. Upon disappearing the temperature temporarily drops before returning to normal. A man wipes some sweat off of his brow and looks to the sky in satisfaction. Delta takes a deep breath and once more summons Satan to appear. Not expecting anyone else to be around, he leave the Persona out and continues to go about his training.
So I Had This Rather Morbid Thought Earlier Today...
Naturally I should share it to all for potential discussion. So I was getting my haircut, letting my barber cut my hair as usual when I was suddenly overcome by a thought that wouldn't leave me. "What if I was about to die, and had four short phone calls I could make to pass on some final words?" Who would I call? What would I say? If I couldn't outright say or directly imply my life was about to end how would that change things? It was kind of surreal experience since I don't often think about scenarios like this. So, what would you do with these four calls? If asked I guess I can be a bit personal and give my answers as of right now.
A Forgotten Dojo
(So I think it's time I start doing things again. Anyone is welcome to enter and see what awaits in this little tale I hope to weave. Let's see where it takes us.) *Somewhere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, lies a well kept building starting to be overtaken by foliage. Atop the entrance of it, are the words "Delta School of Martial Arts" and they look to be a recent addition. The door leading inside is closed, but the lock on it is unopened.* *The steps leading to the door are littered with fallen leaves from the various trees surrounding the area. Dried blood stains the top step, but other than that nothing else is out of place.*
What Keeps You Coming Back to the Phansite?
I've been away for a while, but I see things look to still be going strong. So with my return I pose a question to any that take the time to read this. Thread title says it all. I've been a bit hesitant to return so maybe my trepidation can be soothed with some of the answers I may get. Please try to keep things somewhat serious.
To Bring An End To Greed: Palace Of The Nexus Emperor
(Despite the tensions and what have you I still intend to finish this little arc I started before I go on vacation. Anyone is open to join during any session, although I retain the right to say when my player limit has been reached and if you can or can't participate in the final battle depending on how much you've participated.)

-I'll be GMing as I did in the TV Dojo, with a GM phase and a Player phase. Regardless of the circumstances you get one action per phase so I can respond to what everyone does. One I post something like "-GM is typing- any actions made afterwards will likely not count to keep things moving along since I'm known to type slowly. With introductions out of the way, it's time to begin the game. Players, gather and enter the keywords into the Metaverse App. If we reach my player limit I'll let it be known. Until then, spots are open. Priority is given to those with black belts.-
A Demonstration of the Nexus Emperor's Power
(Note that this fight is meant to push the exploration of a coming dungeon. I will not be defeated here since I doubt anyone knows what to do right now, and it kind of ruins how the arc should play out. If I end up godmodding a bit please bear with me.)

*Mammon sits within his castle, awaiting those that choose to oppose his right to the Nexus. A challenge has been issued thus, calling upon those that take the role of "hero" to come and realize the futility of their actions.*
Gifts from the Nexus Emperor. Fulfilling desires for those interested
*There stands a castle-like structure in an abandoned area in Tokyo. It seems to be a mixture of various architectural styles. On the inside there is but one room, with a throne in the back were Mammon sits, a smug grin on his face. Adorned on the walls are tapestries depicting various things. From money, to crowns to families, it's quite the eclectic display. Anyone that comes near feels like they might find something they deeply desire if they enter. Mammon waits for visitors...*
A Rainy Day - A Persona 5 "Phanfic"
So I wrote this like two months ago and kept forgetting to share it. Read it if you will, tell me how off I made the characters, etc... Don't expect any calls to my usual high octane battle RP stuff, I was practicing more slice of life type scenes to broaden what I'm comfortable writing. It's a little under 1500 words and barely past five pages.

Link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sHDsg84pJlGRt7FFEWEBOlgjEogMba9iSk17O3eT3Jo/edit?usp=sharing

Any sort of feedback would be appreciated, even just saying you liked or disliked it so I know you read it.
What got you into the Persona series?
Gonna put this thread back at the top with my tale.

My first experiences with the Persona franchise and SMT as a whole came from seeing someone playing P3P in my high school anime club and the hiimdaisy comics. I was then interested in the series a little bit. I somehow ended up hearing reach out to the truth (I'm sure it was one of the live versions) and loving that, but still hadn't looked into the series.

Eventually, I would be looking for Playstation 1 games to emulate and by browsing the RPG tab I stumbled upon Revalations: Persona, and decided to give it a try. Fell in love with just about everything about it, but dear lord was I lost trying to navigate the maps. Through some twist of fate I found out about the PSP remake and got it on my Vita as well as the other PSP ports and eventually Golden.

Oddly enough, the only two Persona games I've beaten are P1 and P5. I mis-saved after purposefully getting a bad ending in P4G and I'm just sitting in the last stages of P3P for no real reason. Big Atlus fan regardless, and I'm hyped for anything they put out, Persona or not.

tell me about your hobbies!!
@@pure-anon I've started a fan fic that never got past it's fourth chapter a number of years ago. Original works (that also don't get finished) are my line of writing. I'm working on writing a VN though. Hope to have it done by November. What series do you base your fanfics off of?
Some
So you're not the sharpest tool in the shed?
What kind of music are all of you into? Aside from Shoji Meguro of course :P
Music is my life, so I try to find the good in every genre... But I've got an unfair bias against country and I'm not particularly fond of dubstep.

My favorite genres are probably jazz, orchestral, rock and... VGM if that can be considered a genre. Video game music takes up so much space on my hard drive.
Persona 1-2-3-4-5 Waifu
Jack Frost is clearly the best across Persona games. Nay, all of Atlus actually.
Persona 4 vs Golden
@IamThou I would have never known there had been a change had I not randomly found out while looking stuff up about the game. Matt's an awesome V.A.
Welcome to the Velvet Room
How about an actual room again? Like a nice, comfortable lounge? With a piano player and singer to perform the Aria of the Soul perhaps?
Other Persona games?
As someone that's played nearly every Persona game I'd say play them all. But P4 and P3 are the closest you can get to P5. I love P1 to death, but that'smostly because I started with it. If you like older RPGs I'd say give P1 a shot. Everyone loves P2 for it's plot and characters, but I hate the fusion system in it with a passion. Fusion spells are nifty though.
tell me about your hobbies!!
Listening to music is probably the hobby I indulge in the most. I'm doing so right now in fact. I also write, among other things.

And you @pure-anon
