They changed chie and teddie's VAs in Golden.

Also Marie.

They added an entire new character with plot relevance in Golden and that will never not bother me

Chie's new VA is offputting, but the new SLs and extra scenes are fun

Basically, Golden is the exact same game as Persona 4, except it has refined controls, and an extra dungeon added in for a "True Ending".

Also a character Marie was added in for said true ending reasonings.

Chie and Teddies voices got better, plus the beautiful Accomplice ending. I consider Golden a win.

I feel that Golden fills in some plotholes that obviously needed filling
Like the whole fog just up and vanishing act they pulled in the original
plus I liked the whole bike license sequence.

Big thing gameplay-wise early on is that the first dungeon end boss has a weakness like it logically should.

Voice actor changes have people upset or happy. Erin Fitzgerald is best Chie V.A. in my book, Sam Riegal is a fine Teddie and everyone pretty much agrees that Matt Mercer can almost be Troy Baker if he wants to.

Lots of people hate the addition of Marie and the game is generally balanced to be easier than the original 4. I say don't worry about it. Golden is what I have to play P4 with.

I don't like Golden cuz it feels like they added so much that part of the original feels lost
also the new voices are annoying Chie bothers me so much I wish I could mute her and only her
from a gameplay perspective its certainly refined at least
i personally prefer the PS2 version overall

Golden is way better than the first, and Chie will still be my waifu no matter who voices her.

Marie is the one true waifu.
