Wings of Gold: Restaurant and Bar
[i]The strange restaurant visited by all the most rich and famous of Shibuya would open on yet another late night. The same staff as usual would be working save for a slight change in staff. Due to complaints about the rude nature of the waiter multiple "entities" were now taking care of serving the customers their order. They would seem like people and even seem to act friendly but that was the only thing that was often recalled about them as their appearances could be described beyond wearing a golden wings uniform. It was as if they had no distinguishable features otherwise. At the counter would be the same almost tired looking girl with deep blue hair and glowing blue eyes. She would be smiling but other than that there wasn't much seemingly to her. At the bar the man in gold with blonder hair and matching glistening golden eyes was working as usual. Occasionally if one observed they could also catch a small glimpse of a boy with black hair and red eyes in the back of the kitchen area. It was a strange place with a even stranger atmosphere as gold and blue decorated a majority of the premise but perhaps that's exactly what drew so many of the rich and famous here. Perhaps that unusual but safe feeling of the place is what made others so inclined to believe this too be a high class establishment? Either way, Wing of Gold is open for business.
Walking past the restaurant on his way to his work, a white-haired gunslinger momentarily pauses, eyeing it for a few seconds.. Mm....
A blonde, short haired man with blue eyes pauses outside the restaurant. He adjusts his business suit and smiles as he walks inside. "Well, ain't this a fancy place?"
Wings of Gold would once again open its doors for the light. The usual staff was working as they prepared for another busy night. Oddly enough the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. It would seem that their peak hours haven't hit yet. A lucky coincidence for anyone happening to pass by. The tired looking girl at the front counter would be there as usual as would the bar further in for any who weren't in the mood to get an actual table. The 'owner' would be working at the bar as usual as well. His blonde hair and golden eyes shining in the low lights surrounding.
A man in wanders into the place, white hair and red eyes can be seen on his face as he takes stock of the rather fancy place... Hmm, he has felt like a decent meal, and it's not as though he's short on funding at the moment. Besides, he's got a seat reserved after all might as well check it out. He'd walk up to the woman at the counter and smile, using a friendly tone as he speaks to her. "Good evening, I had a reservation under Minegishi." He absently looks at the girl's eyes for a moment, hmm glowing eyes... How odd, perhaps something abnormal? Ah well, as long as she's not in Abel's way it isn't an issue. That said, he'd scan the place for anyone who looks interesting, Naoya's always been good at picking people from a crowd after all. A shame, how he didn't sign up for that little tournament Abel is in these days...
The girl would look up upon hearing the last name. She remembered that reservation but the last name still stuck with her as she knew it held much more significant then one might have let on. Her eyes were cold as if not even trying to hide her true emotionless nature. She would still, however, fake a smile as she usually did. It was almost a habit for her to put on the cheery act at this point as she addressed Naoya. "Yes, of course, one of our waiters would be happy to take you to your table, Mr. Naoya." A waiter would walk up. To most, they would've seemed like an average person with an unmemorable face but to any who were more aware they'd be able to tell that the waiter truly didn't have any distinguishable features as their entire body almost seemed as if it was censored out by clusters of static. Regardless the figure would greet Naoya in a friendly manner before attempting to guide him to his table. Other than the bizarre-seeming staff an older looking man would be residing behind the bar with golden glowing eyes and blonde hair to match. The blonde man would be preparing the par area by seeming to pre-mix some of the drinks ahead of time, possibly for usuals he knew were going to be arriving any minute. A boy with red glowing eyes and black hair could be seen lounging at a nearby lounging area for the use of customers in case they wished for a more comfortable area to relax.
A man with shaggy brown hair and a half crooked smirk ambles towards the restaurant humming a bizarre tune under his breath So take my heart but not me breathe and leave such shadows be~ And to you, I shall break my sins so a new man I will be~
Those table staff... Not even actual people, my how strange. And that girl up front is a good actor to be sure, in his league even but it takes one to know one after all. He absently glances at the waiter for a moment, taking a hand to his chin as he sits at the table... "Hmm, I'm not too aware of your menu here. But I'll try something with... Seafood, shellfish of some sort would do nicely yes. Suprise me beyond that, and a good bottle of wine to go with that as well in fact." Order placed he doesn't bother dealing with the waiter any longer, instead, the man walks away from his table for a moment and decides to look over at the boy who shares his eye color. He'd walk up that one with a curious expression on his face, something about it... Reminds him of power, the kind that Abel can command in a way, but not the same. "So I'm curious, what's someone like yourself doing working at a restaurant? You've got the kind of power that demon lords can toss around or something like it, so why the act of being normal? Part of some game you're playing at, or a greater plan along the line? Ah well, no matter just... Call it professional curiosity is all." He'd shrug at that, for a moment he glances over at the man who wandered in. Hmm, they're a bit odd as well, but not now. Instead, he'd look back at the red-eyed boy and smirk, the expression on his face clearly leaving no doubts about him being serious.
The waiter would pretend to write down the order before heading to the back. It seemed as if they were meant to trick people into thinking they were writing something down when they, in fact, wouldn't be doing much besides gesturing. The black-haired boy would simply look up in response. He was curious at first at the question but he decided to simply answer normally seeing no reason to lie when asked so bluntly. Tsukiya: "I don't really have any game to play. I just do as my...dear sister desires. Her goals are my own. If she wants to open a restaurant then I help by building it from the ground up. If she wants someone dead then I make sure they're dead. Even if she wanted to destroy this world I'd help her with that too. There's nothing else to be discussed regarding goals." The girl at the front might notice the man humming the tune for a moment but it having nothing to do with her, she would ignore it.
Naoya smirks upon hearing that, he's almost sure that sister isn't quite the right word for it... But nevertheless, it's a motive that resonates with the man, oddly enough. "I see, well since you answered so honestly, I'll do the same in kind. Naoya Minegishi, and I guess we have something in common..." He smiles at the boy, not the usual well acted falseness he'd normally use, but an actual smile for a moment. "Much like yourself, my goals happen to be those of my family... Though it'd be my brother in my own case, well it's been a pleasure meeting you. Hopefully those goals won't bring us into conflict." At that, he waves and begins walking back toward his table, pulling his COMP out for a moment and writing down a few things about the boy he'd spoken to... Hmm, he said sister, but that pause makes Naoya think it's a bit of a lie. Regardless, he simply returns to scanning for now as he waits on his food to arrive.
Fuci arrives at the strange diner, looking at the outside it seemed fancy, a little too fancy for him, but he didn't mind. Stepping into the place with his pet cat Loki in tow, he walks up to the receptionist and notices her similarities to the girl from yesterday Oh hello there! Have we met? I think I recognize you from yesterday! How are ya? Good? Bad? Hopefully you have had a nice day! Although, from your expression you don't seem to be having the greatest time... Fuci then sees that somebody was already there and takes a step back, realising his intrusion and apologizing, however the things the other patron was whispering was... Unsettling Gah! Sorry about that Sir! Um, are you alright? Do you need help?
The boy with red eyes and black hair would step into the back of the restaurant where the kitchen would be located seeing that customers were beginning to arrive. A moment later one of the waiters would emerge carrying a large plate of varied seafood. On the plat would be grilled lobster, part of a freshly caught swordfish, and various prawns. The plate would be placed in front of Naoya with golden flair. The waiter would then walk away as the man with blonde hair and golden eyes would come up to the table with a bottle of red wine. He would place a wine glass on the table near the plate and gently pour the wine into the glass before leaving the bottle in an icy bucket near Naoya. Kouki: "I understand at most places the server would usually have the customer taste the wine to ensure that it was ok but I feel you won't have any complaints about this brand. I understand it may seem slightly rude but I have this is a special reserve bottle we hold for very specific occasions. You've actually seemed to break the cold shell my 'brother' usually carries with him so I believe this should serve as repayment." Meanwhile, the girl at the front would address the Fuci. She would put on her usual smile and even try to keep an interested look despite not even knowing the meaning behind such a look. Mimi: "Oh, I'm actually fine. I know I might've have been a little strange before but I hope you'll forgive me. I just couldn't quite hold back how interested I was in you before. You're very different from others I've seen here. You can call me Mimi by the way. It's a very special name to me so please don't forget it. Anyway, was there something I could help you with today?"
Fuci reacts to the fake expression with a genuine expression, a small smile to be exact, even if it was fake it would be impolite if he was wrong, so better safe then sorry! Good to know that you are good Mimi! Honestly it's fine! I have such bad luck I'm used to getting weird looks! Anyhow! I just wanted to know what this place was! It's some kind of restaurant right? Could I get a table? I don't have much cash on me but I'm sure I can scrounge up something!
The man smiles at Kouki and nods, he'd take a sip from the glass and... Hmm, that is indeed quite good, isn't it? Something's a bit off, but in a pleasing way actually. "Yes, it's quite to my liking indeed. And cold hmm? For some reason, I feel... A sort of likeness to him, I get the sense he values family as much as I do, a good trait if you ask me." Values indeed, it'd more apt to say that's the one thing Naoya truly cares for at all. But that's beside the point as he takes a bit from the lobster, he'd smirk upon tasting it... A meal fit for a king if he's any judge, but upon noting the boy with a cat he'd actually walk over to the young man for a moment. "My, you seem... Unlucky if I had to guess? Hmm, perhaps you'd care to share a story or two. Naoya Minegeshi a pleasure to meet you, please do come sit down if you'd like I find myself rather lacking company at the moment!" He'd walk back toward his table, clearly moving slowly enough for the unlucky boy and his cat to follow along... Something about that kid, it just strikes him as odd.
The golden-eyed man would nod before returning to the bar. The girl, on the other hand, would keep her eyes on Fuci for a while still interested in the nature of his soul. However, it would simply look like she may have perhaps been staring at him. "If you wish to sit together then that's fine. I'll send a waiter to you shortly."
Fucidin notices Naoya walk over and looks at him before responding, he certainly was dressed quite strangely, especially the device on his arm. Fuci wonders about it before responding Yep! That's me! Fucidin Fuun! Nothing seems to go my way, but life is just one big gamble, and I'll play it until I hit the jackpot! Nice to meet ya Naoya! I wouldn't mind having a chat! Who am I to deny food? Fuci then makes his way over to the table and taking a seat with Loki on his lap, the cat stealing a fish from Naoya's plate, not before noticing the staring from the girl however and getting a little uncomfortable, she seemed interested in him, a little too much. Well thanks Mimi! Take care now! If you see me around don't be shy!
He laughs at the boy's words, life's one big gamble? What an odd way to look at things... "I wouldn't call it that, in my mind, I guess I'd say..." He pauses and looks down at the cat, he'd grin at it for a moment as he sees the thing stealing his food so boldly. "My you're quite clever aren't you? Using those cute looks to get away with almost anything... Truly it's genius. But where was I, oh yes. As I was saying Fucidin, I'd say that there's a definite gamble to be had yes, but it's about making sure the odds are in your favor isn't it? If you aren't doing that, then how can one expect to make any progress in life?" He watches the boy for a moment before turning back to his lobster, happily cutting into the meat and taking a few bites. If Fucidin listens closely, he'd note Naoya sounding entirely calm and perhaps a bit cheerful... On the outside, only the most grossly skilled in reading people would have an inkling of the man's true nature from this.
Fucidin thinks to himself as Naoya speaks, using his hand to stroke Loki as it meows in response, gnawing on the piece of food it stole, however he doesn't find anything too off about what he was saying. Even so he had to be on guard, this new place he arrived in wasn't regular Japan, that was for certain Well yeah! I'm always trying to do my best! But no matter what if there's luck involved I always seem to lose! I can only guess it's a curse! Hopefully with my travels I can break it somehow! No idea where to start! But I'll figure something out eventually!
A curse... Is the boy simply unlucky, or is he truly cursed? Perhaps by some loathsome god... "A curse hmm? I'd know a thing or two about being cursed myself honestly if you do happen to find anything tangible let me know. It'd be remiss not to lend my aid in breaking such a thing, what you're describing... It doesn't quite sound normal to me." That thought truly bothers Naoya for some reason, he's always hated things like curses though, by very nature the idea sends a bit of rage through him. Rather than let himself slip, he'd avert his eyes and turn down to the meal and taking some of the prawns before looking back up. "Ah well, I'm sure things will turn around at some point. Hopefully, if you're cursed, it's not from anything too bad."
Fuci nods along with Naoya and responds in kind, taking a glass of water and drinking a bit before speaking You know about curses eh? You've actually dealt with a real one huh? That's kinda neat! To be honest I'm not exactly normal myself! So if it does seem strange that would be why! Hehe! Fuci then sees the time and his eyes widen, getting up in a panic, in his panic he startles Loki who grasps onto the table cloth pulling it down slightly and pouring the glass on Fucidin as he jumps back Gah! How unlucky! Sorry Naoya but I've gotta run! I'll check back with you if I find anything! Come on Loki! Fuci then runs out of the store with a panicked look with Loki following close behind, pouncing along the street
