Challenge from Chaos: Second Wave
A dark alleyway sits in a corner of Tokyo, the inky black door inside it, would inspire both a sense of curiosity and dread in all who gaze upon it. Most would likely flee in a panic, but those brave enough to venture in... Would find a fairly large room, furniture and several people can be seen in various points around the place and by the time a few have walked inside of the door, it'd vanish in a burst of darkness. A dark chuckle echos through the room as a door at the front slides open. C Tatsu: "Hello newbies, and for those who were at the start... Hope you guys are all ready to keep going! I've got a couple fun ones before the grand ending of this little romp, so get ready for my last couple events! Now, you should get moving before something goes wrong!" At that, the voice goes silent and outside of the room they'd find a single hallway. Going down it one can hear faint whispers, the sounds of students who aren't even in the school echoing around as one goes deeper into it... At the end of the hallway, a dark blue door with an image of a tentacle can be seen, merely looking upon the door would feel as if one is staring at the mind of madness.
(Quintus would find himself in a strange forest. The air was still and peaceful and he'd have forgotten everything he was doing. Suddenly he heard voices coming from all directions growing louder and louder. At first, they were just whispers but slowly and steadily they would become shouts and screams. People could be heard suffering and being thrown into panic as he covers his ears to try and drain the voices out. The feeling was rising in him once more as he struggled to contain it. FInally, upon opening his eyes once more, the forest would be burning as plumes of smoke began uncontrollably flying out of his mouth. His eyes flashing a furious yellow as he loses all control.) Quintus would wake with a start breathing heavily. He had just had a nightmare that he couldn't explain. One that filled him with fear but he wasn't even fully sure why. He'd slowly get to his feet and look around listening for the voice of C. Tatsuya. He wasn't sure what that dream was but he had to assume it was just from that last fight. For now, he had a much more important task at hand. "Almost to the end of this sick game, I'd hope. Well, no time to waste..." Quintus would continue down the hall toward the strange door. The mere sight of it made him uneasy but madness wasn't even something he felt could phase him at this point. He was already losing his mind and he knew it. There already was no turning back. He would approach the door and attempt to open it to see if it was even possible to simply open.
(Hifumi once again enters a black door at the behest of her curiosity and she finds herself pleased with what lies within. The people inside the initial room causes her to raise an interested brow, but her curiosity truly begins to show once inside the hallway.) This appears to be an area of value. (She then ignores the familiar voice from around and approaches the tentacle door with halberd already in left hand. Just staring at the door is enough to pique her interest and the madness of it almost resonates from something inside of her. As if the sensation were part of her very state of being.)
Two masked people in white hooded robes, one with a yellow mask and one with a blue mask, look around at their new environment, the yellow-masked one clinging to the other's arm. Yellow Mask: Ra- er, Emigo... Sorry about that. That was a bad idea... The blue-masked person, apparently Emigo, sighs and takes out a black crystal from his pocket. E: Save it for later, Allie. I was curious as well, and I have a feeling that this is important... Let's go. Allie nods, and the duo walk side-by-side, a few meters behind Quintus.
PK wakes up groggy, stretching his muscles and shaking his old wounds out before pulling out a small canister of syrup out and drinking it all, instantly being revitalized and ready to roll! Our adventure hasn't stopped yet! Onwards! PK then takes off! Running down the corridor while snacking on a pancake he materializes out of the air! Today sounds like a great day to vanquish evil!
Grimnir was sitting cozily in one of the chairs, his previous gash in the side becoming little more than a faint scar by now. C. Tatsu's voice wakes the eager, silver-haired man who immediately stands up Sending more of your slaves now are you? 'Tis no matter to me. For I am Grimnir, the Immortal of war and bringer of devastation. Why, were I to unleash my full power I could easily bring ruin upon this feeble realm of yours. Grimnir looks around at his companions, they've proven themselves to be relatively tough, but on the other hand, just how much can humans take anyways? Grimnir shakes his head, before covering his left eye with a gauntleted hand Consider yourself fortunate, foul creature, otherwise I could easily shatter your vile schimes with but a single hand, for now... Know only that this realm and its people are under my guard, as you may have noticed earlier, I am no minor god to be trifled with While Grimnir was busy monologuing, standing in the middle of the room, he hardly noticed Hifumi ,Quintus, and the masked people walk ahead of him. Not wanting to be left behind, the Raging Tempest leaps after the four By all means, allow me to go first fair citizens, 'twould be a great blow to my honor if anything were to happen to those under my guard.
Lowe stood up at the sound of the voice, one hand on his hip. He looked upward at the ceiling as that bastard talked, and started walking down the hallway. 'Bout time, got tired of waiting. He watched Quintus move down the hall, and hurried to catch up with him. Hey, tree guy! You didn't look too hot back there, you alright? Look, you're no slouch in a fight, but if you need to, take a step back this time and cool your head. You're looking pale enough, don't need whatever's on the other side 'a this door getting to you.
Coming across the door while out running, Delta would feel a sense of foreboding as he stared upon it. Feeling a sense of responsibility, he would head inside and be met with a sinister voice sounding an awful lot like Tatsuya. Tatsuya? No, there's something off about this... Giving a nod to Quintus and the others around, he'd approach the door alongside them.
Alice had been seated, her hands in her lap and her eyes closed, once the shadow had announced its desire for them to continue. She wasn’t asleep but instead resting her eyes, for this Tatsuya might be devilish yet somewhat pleasant in offering the party this moment of relief. “The time has come once more. Let’s please be done with him tonight!” Following in the footsteps of the others, Alice went down the hallway in the direction of this blue door. The voices made her uneasy but it was somewhat uncomfortable for her to rest her eyes on this door so she averted them until the door was opened and they were inside.
As Quin walks into the door, those who come along with him would see before them a large tower. The room they're standing in has a ceiling that goes up about 30 feet, and appears to be 500 feet around while stretching out toward the center at another 500 feet. Arcana runes line the walls and floor, that same sense of madness on the door flows through them but stronger this time. C.Tatsu speaks up once more, as a rune in the center begins to glow brightly with a dark blue light. "This one... Well, he isn't good with people you see! So I'll be doing our comments for the fun and exciting match between you losers, and..." A literal drumroll can be heard in the room as the circle finally calls up the beast inside it. A large green... Thing, with far too many tentacles, takes its place before the group. Some horrid squid with a large pair of blue eyes on its face and red fins of some sort lining the head would stare out at them. They only see that for a moment, however, as the being's image would suddenly become some blur of twisting shapes which none can comprehend. A horrible feeling would come in those who gaze upon it too long as if the idea of reality itself is crumbling around them simply from looking at this awful beast. Finally, Chaos Tatsuya's voice lets out an unearthly scream of jumbled words. "PH,NLGUI MGLW'NAFH CTHULHU RY'LYEH MGAH'NAGL FHTAGN!" Even as the man yells, the many tentacles of the beast rush forward and aim to cut into those at the front of the group. Sharp blades lining the front of them and glowing with a purple substance upon their blades. All who were sliced into with such a substance would begin to feel the effects of a terrible poison rushing through their veins as the beast quickly retracts its limbs.
"I'm fine...it was just, something, I guess. It's under control now though.: Quintus would feel reassured by the presence of Delta as he moves into the room. He feels as if maybe He's finally calming down until he is met with the thing before them. Quintus couldn't help but stare at the monster even with his sanity slowly slipping. Staring at it loosened the feeling he held back once again but he didn't seem to notice or care as it lashed out with its tentacles. "Yggdrasil Prime! Earthly Roots!" Two of the four roots would come up to try and block against the multitude of tendrils getting cut in the process while the other two would defend closer to Quintus as if on stabdby. The two roots in front would end up cut with the strange poison causing them to darken on color and begin decaying. Quintus would look a little sick at this result as he would pull out Hookworm's blades once more. "Time to find out if you bleed!" Quintus would toss both of Hookworm's blades towards the creature hoping to at least have the blade collect blood from its tentacles if it has any.
Tsk! Lowe dives to his right, turning the dive into a roll and righting himself. He looks at his sleeve, and notices a gash in the upper part of his left arm. He clutches his head and feels his vision fading. Gah, what the hell is this thing?! He'd turn to the rest of the group, before standing. His legs are notably shaking. He's afraid for sure, though he always is when fighting. He thinks back to the words Tatsuya and Alice said at GYM, and reaffirms his resolve. He throws an arm forward toward the thing, and launched a train at it. A simple head-on assault.
After glancing at Cthulhu for a moment, some sort of beast from the primordial abyss he figures, Grimnir quickly closes his eyes. Rather than watch the creature, he would take a deep breath, feeling for disruptions in the air. Fortunately for everyone he can't afford to speak in such a state, instead, Grimnir turns to his side, backing up slightly to weave his way through the rushing tendrils, careful to evade the worst of the slashing, managing to get out with only a few gashes upon his armor. Grimnir hastily lashes out with his own spear, aiming to slice through one or two of Cthulhu's many tentacles, if nothing else that might anger the beast.
Woah! What is that! I've never seen anything like it! Well no matter! You shall be slain! Seeing the rush of tentacles coming at him, PK runs to the left to dodge! Getting a pretty bad slash on his arm, but no matter, he was more worried about speed! Taking his sword he raises it up before bringing it down on a tentacle, hoping to cut one off and deal some damage to it! After the strike, PK grasps his arm and feels quite a terrible pain, poison seeping into his blood stream and ravaging his internals Gah! This is bad! Better hurry it up!
(Hifumi strolls into the room with a sense of purpose as her eyes glow a brilliant yellow. The stronger madness within the room instantly hits causing her sense of self to crumble even more as black shadows now emanate from her feet. Titling her head as her outside self crumbles she peers directly at the beast and asks.) What is existence? (At this point her senses are loosing track of the area as the shadows below her appear to be more prominent. As if in a dreamlike state she has trouble raising her halberd and her newfound lack of speed only results in the catch of but one tentacle. Another tentacles manages to hit her back with a slight cut below the left knee.) Arrrgh. (She growls as her form seems to shift more and a terrible pain lances from above her knee.)
Madness finds itself slowly entering the depths of Delta's mind as he looks on at Cthulhu, looking to consume him if not for the fact that it suddenly launched an assault on all present. Snapping back to reality in time to take in the tentacles speeding towards him, he'd summon Ramses in front of himself to block a majority with his staff. The Pharaoh would be cut by the rest and his form would lose stability, causing Delta to dismiss him before anything else could happen. Taking in the general location of the beast, he'd cycle through his masks before having a better idea. With that in mind, he'd start running to another side of the room, hoping to divide the beast's attention while he gathered power internally. What could he be up to?
For a moment the Hookworm is able to cut into it, despite losing blood and energy, however, Cthulhu doesn't seem to mind what's happening much in the least bit. It would simply keep pressing on for a moment and aim to jab one of its poison-coated weapons into Quin's chest. "Ah man, you guys are shook up! Jeez if I knew he'd get such a great response I'd have used him sooner." Lowe's train, however, is more annoying than Quin's blades, toss that in with Grim slashing off a couple appendages and Cthulhu would open his great maw to roar at them. A maddening sound like the wails of infants perishing mixed with fell magics rushing out for a moment. Despite all that, however, he's still going fairly strong. PK slicing off another one hurts a bit more, but he'd quickly aim another pair of limbs toward the boy and attempt to wrap them around the now poisoned target. Given that their attack upon him seems quite done... Cthulhu homes in on the Shadow, his tentacle glows with a different kind of light now, some pinkish color that if it struck true into the girl's upper chest would cause her to look toward the beast and feel an overwhelming sense of loyalty toward it. Cthulhu would take on a solid shape for her, appearing as something which inspires a sense of kinship, her allies, on the other hand, would begin to twist into horrid beasts of some kind, any words they speak coming out as chittering sounds and twisted echoes.
Grimnir begins to get a headache, this whole situation seems like something a trickster would do. Unfortunately, so much noise would make it difficult for him to concentrate. Seeing the uselessness of his previous idea, Grimnir opens his eyes, careful to focus on the state of his allies rather than the creature. It lashes out with tentacles, so if nothing else he can try to focus on defending... Fear not citizens, for I, the Raging Tempest am here to... Grimnir grips his head, looks like he's finally starting to run out of things to say. Glancing around, the primary issues would be the tentacles aimed for either his fellow knight, or the lady. Knowing his duty, Grimnir leaps to the side, in front of Hifumins, and attempts to slice through the tentacle before it can reach him. Just stay behind me, 'tis my duty to ensure your safety after all.
The weapon would hit Quintus dead on almost pushing him back but he would seem almost unworried about its effects as he calls out to Yggdrasil. "Yggdrasil Prime! Cleanse the poison from my system! Life's Bounty!" Yggdrasil Prime would drop golden fruits onto the area including having one land near Quintus.Quintus would pick up on of the fruits and take a bit out of it allowing the fruits healing effects to spread over him. Hopefully, the fruit would heal the poison effects from the tentacles strike. "Alright, now that I know this thing has blood..." He'd once again toss his weapons at the creature in an attempt to absorb more of its blood and energy.

PK too busy with the pain on his arm doesn't see the binding tentacles and gets caught up in them, shaking around to try and get free! His mind starting to be shaken! Gah! This isn't good! Pancake and Syrup! Fusion Style! Breakfast Blades! With a quick call and crush of a card, 2 swords fly out from a rift close to PK, making quick movements and slicing away at the tentacles binding him! Hopefully they can free him before the poison kills!

(Hifumi falls to one knee as she attempts to force her very essence of being together. It's a terribly hard task resulting in her barely noticing as grimir protects her.)

Just like before, Alice had no idea what to expect until the beast was finally upon them, the maddening thoughts pressing at her mind. She closed her eyes and placed a hand on her head, her attempt at trying to mitigate such madness, leaving her open to the tentacles coming at her. She might've been struck if the struggle within her head hadn't brought about Seraph, the persona taking her and going airborne in order to avoid the tentacles. "What even is this monster? I can't even keep a handle on my own thoughts!" Once she was out of the way of danger, Alice peered down at her allies in order to ascertain their situation. Unfortunately her eyes would cross over the monster once more, causing her to writhe as the thoughts come flooding back. Figuring out that looking at the thing simply isn't the answer, she keeps her eyes off of it and begins taking action. "I have to do something to help. Uhm... Well he's certainly not doing too well." Seeing as Alice hadn't been struck previously, she's unaware of the poison but is aware of the injuries sustained, in particular by PK. She begins praying mid-air, PK becoming the recipient of her magic as light would soothe his pain and begin to reverse his wounds. It wasn't an immediate effect but it was happening much faster than if she were to have the effect cover everyone.
Sliding to a stop about 50 ft. away from the others and seeming to be unnoticed, Delta raises his right hand and clenches it into a fist once it reaches the level of his face. It seems the wind around him would start to stir as he quickly crouches low, sending his right hand to touch the ground as fire erupts around him. The flames dance around his form before conglomerating above him and transforming into Apollo, the Persona of one Tatsuya Suou. Apollo, Nova Kaiser! The sun god would rise above Delta, revealing chains connecting the two of them as it channels it's magic. Sending the Nova Kaiser directly at Cthulhu in the shape of a giant fist, it's aim is to hit it hard enough to disorient the abomination while doing damage. With the attack finished, Apollo shatters into embers and Delta stands back up, drenched in sweat.
Lowe would glance at his arm as he felt his stamina slowly begin to leave him. He glanced at the wound on his arm and took note of the strange fluid left at the wound. Poison, of course. Yo! Blondie, Tree Guy! Can either of you guys give me a hand with this poison?! He decides to make a bit of distance between him and the monster, stepping a few feet back and closer to the back line of the group as he snaps his fingers. The usual gateways surround the monster, ten in total, and fire railroad spikes at it from all directions.
Cthulhu isn't foolish enough to allow this attack to be stopped, instead, he'd twist upward and let Grimnir tear through some non-vital parts of the limb before rushing back down and aiming to slam right into the man's head. Assuming it hits, Grimnir would feel the same effects that were meant for Shadow Hifumi. PK being grabbed would cause the beast to try and pull him backward, something like a smirk forming on its face as Cthulhu begins to open its mouth up and... Suddenly roars in pain as the blades slam into it, it starts slamming PK around wildly for a moment before tossing up him right into the roof. The boy would crash into it before landing with a loud thud upon the ground, right in front of Grimnir in fact. Quin's attempt, however... It would allow him to drain more of the thing's energy, but as it does so something begins to swell inside Cthulhu's blood itself. The substance rushing into hookworm would take on that same purple glow as the poison from before, and begin rushing right into Quin's parasite in an attempt to make that foe suffer the effects. Beyond that, he simply allows the thing to keep drinking. "Yo tentacle boy! Look up for me will ya, I spy with my little eye some damned healer trying to hide from your wonderful gaze old pal!" As Chaos Tatsuya speaks up, Cthulhu would trail its eyes upward and glare at Alice. The beast is well aware of her healing PK, and it's none too happy with that fact either. A blast of yellow energy rushes from his maw right toward Alice and Seraph, some concentrated burst of a paralyzing agent that would inflict some damage, but moreover, it'd cause both Persona and User to fall downward. No longer able to control either of their bodies as they crash to the floor. As it prepares to attack once again, however, Delta's Nova Kaiser would rush right into the thing and leaving it reeling in pain for a moment. The thing is a bit hurt by now but at this point C.Tatsu cuts in and claps for a bit. "I'll be damned! Using the Persona of my so-called "real self"? That's pretty impressive Delta I can't even lie! Heh, oh yeah for your info pal? Call me Suou, I'm the better version of him." Cthulhu coils its limbs around itself, blocking the main body from taking damage due to Lowe's spikes by letting them slam right into the less vital parts of itself. The beast simply glares at Delta and Lowe for a moment, making damn sure they get a good look at it considering how annoying they've been.
Grimnir was expecting something like this, of course, he can't very well dodge without leaving the lady undefended, so Grimnir stands there and closes his eyes.... Strange, he rather thought he would die, something... Different happens for sure. Grimnir loses track of where he was, what he was doing. Opening his eyes, all he can see is a group of monsters attacking some... One? No matter. His head hurts an awful lot. Still, one of these beasts is directly in front of him. Grimnir's usual cocky grin slides into place as he spins to maneuver his way between PK and Cthulhu I.. Hope you've prepared yourself, fiend. For I, Grimnir, the Mad Cyclone have come to end your terror once and for all. Grimnir would start by sweeping his lance towards PK's legs as he passes by, if the other person were to fall over, Grimnir would follow it up by thrusting his spear towards PK's chest, the vision leaving him unable to tell any vital spots
(Hifumin breathing raggedly finally finds the strength from which to stand. Albeit with an obvious tremor to her poisoned limb. Blank faced from the continued mental wear down she appears to be a bit lost. With her yellow eyes dulled she unwittingly continues to expel shadows at her feet as they begin to maw at her.) Who am I? (Finding no answer she is left with an empty attraction to energy rather then substance. This new state of focus attracts her to the energy expelled through Alice's healing and the pure yellow energy heading towards her.) Tasty. (Muttering this word she temporarily dematerializes only to appear in front of Alice with her halberd pointing at the healer. A hungry look now exists in her eyes.) Give me everything you have.

Taking a deep breath as C.Tatsuya addresses him, he returns to his usual masks and rips off a blue and purple one, summoning Beelzebub behind him. So you are Tatsuya after all. I knew I couldn't mistake that voice. And you really think you're better than the one I've come to know? Don't kid yourself. The Tatsuya I know wouldn't have to hide behind some monster to handle his problems. Catching sight of Cthulhu again, he starts losing his focus. Drifting ever closer to the edge separating him from madness. The Lord of the Flies steps in front of him to lessen the effects. Shaking his head to regain his composure, Delta climbs onto his Persona and commands it to take flight. The two head closer to Cthulhu, but swing around so that they're on the opposite side of the room about 50 ft. in the air.
Hookworm's voice rings out in Quintus' head telling about the sickly feeling of the thing's blood. Quin would pull the blade back looking a little annoyed. "Well, blood draining seems like it'd be a bad idea to continue...Guess I'll have to try something else. Quintus would hear Lowe's request Quintus would pause though and look up at Yggdrasil Prime. "Yggdrasil Prime! Uh...do that thing you've done before where you toss your fruit. Um, not sure how you do that but-" The golden serpent would once more slither from the innermost hole of the tree and up into the branches before tossing one of the golden fruits towards Lowe. Quintus would simply focus on recovering the two branches from before that decayed back into the ground. He would focus his energy on Yggdrasil to try to speed the recovery process of them.
Woah woah woah! Being thrased around isn't exactly healthy, neither is looking at the strange beast, PK feeling a painful throbbing sensation, causing him to numb to his surrounding as he's thrown to the ground, getting up slowly. The partial healing does help him recover rather quickly though, even as the poison tears him up, he sees his healer fall! PK rushes over and tries to catch her before she hit the ground! I'm on my way! Just hold on! However, Grimnir stops him with a quick sweep and a stab through the chest, PK making an awful sound and taking his laser blade, switching it to gravity mode. He then takes his free hand and holds onto the spear with all his might while slamming the gravity blade at Grimnir, if it worked perfectly he would blow Grimnir away from his weapon! Even if it was still impaling PK! Ah... Ah... Snap out of it! Aren't you a honorable Warrior! We are supposed to fight the Cthulu! Meanwhile the Breakfast Blades sees the effect the eyes are having and swiftly flies towards it, slicing into it's eye's to lessen or prevent the gaze if not permanently at least temporarily!

Alice heard that damned Shadow's voice, a surge of annoyance going through her as he reminds his pet that she is in fact a bit out of the way and in too comfortable a spot. Assuming Seraph could handle this situation, she'd be surprised to find that Seraph would in fact have thrown its other self up in the air in order to spare Alice from the paralysis coming at the two of them. "Dammit, h- WAH!!" The situation would now play out differently depending on the woman who now stands before Seraph. Should she remain there and take the blast, barring it from affecting Seraph, the persona would catch Alice and allow her to follow up. She isn't sure whether or not the Shadow Hifumi meant ill toward her but she'd still offer the girl a smile before springing into action. She seems to have somewhat pieced things together now that Lowe has mentioned this poison, and has such figured out what to focus on. A ball of light would form before her before being set loose, bouncing from each of her allies and spreading her soothing light as it drew closer to each. It wasn't going to have the power to reverse whatever this poison was but hopefully it'd buy a little more time until the fight was won. Of course, should shadow Hifumi move or should the blast affect Seraph somehow anyway, Alice would fall along with her persona. The persona would be rendered useless, due to the paralysis, leaving Alice to somehow catch herself or rely on her allies to do the catching. This would also mean that whatever she would have done in the scenario in which the paralyzing bolt had been dealt with would now have never happened.
Grimnir wouldn't expect such a bold move from a mindless monster, PK's maddening chittering distracting Grimnir.... Long enough for PK to successfully blow Grimnir back... Considering his position, Grimnir would go flying towards Cthulhu. While in midair, Grimnir would shout To me Stormspyd!! With those words, Grimnir's spear would attempt to work its way out of PK's grasp in order to fly towards its master. Of course, it would be unlikely to make it before Grimnir was thrown into the massive monster at the center. Yeah, that's probably not good
Lowe catches the fruit and takes a bite out of it without much hesitation. Not bad, and more importantly, Lowe felt good as new. He punched his fists together, and did his usual tactic of smacking himself in the back with a train. He didn't feel the pain of the act anymore, and had gotten pretty good at keeping himself steady as he skidded along the ground. He got a good look at the battlefield this way, and took note of the new person fighting on his side, Delta. He didn't even notice him enter, how could he be so oblivious? This question was overshadowed by a feeling of anger at seeing Alice at the point of a weapon, but at the same time, that chick was protecting her? Gah, fuck it. He'll deal with her later. For now, the ugly one. He skids to a stop behind the thing, opposite of the way they came in. He grins, rearing a fist back, and getting ready to launch something of his own. Get outta here! He slams his fist into the ground, and the two trains he had under his command would shoot out of the ground on either side of that monster, at such an angle that Lowe hoped to turn the thing into a pancake. Maybe the dumb one would get a kick out of it?
C.Tatsuya's voice comes up again, a bitting tone full of ice being heard as the man speaks directly to Delta. "Do not compare me to him, and don't call me Tatsuya either! I'm not Tatsuya, I'm not Danksuya, I'm something that's between them both and stronger for it! I'm just Suou..." The sound of a lighter flicking echoes through the room, he'd chuckle along with it before finishing up. "As for my monsters, I don't need them... I just enjoy a good show Delta! This is a way to gain fun data and some entertainment, but rest easy knowing that I am far more powerful than he is. I'll crush you all myself when you're done playing with them." PK's rush for the eyes, however, slams into Cthulhu, the beast would close them quickly and try to bring its head down, aiming to crush PK under the weight of its overly large body. Beyond that, he'd home in on Quin, the beast would slam its tentacles toward him with an unearthly light covering them, two to be exact, rush toward the young man and if they hit would infect him with even more of the madness, as this happens C.Tatsu begins speaking to Quin. "Aww, Quinny boy... You were fun with Lux ya know? I bet that meeting the real deal you're some knockoff of was a shocker hmm? Well, you don't stack up pal!" He'd laugh at his own joke, the smirk on the man's face is so present that Quin can no doubt hear it in his tone. "Now the other one, he was a neat guy! Come on buddy, I wanna see what the Quin who's under all this crap can get done." The blast aimed for Alice is blocked by Hifumi, easily in fact and that annoys Cthulhu a great deal, he'd roar as Seraph attempts to catch the girl. Bladed tentacles rushing in front of the Persona and trying to slice into its wings, Cthulhu's goal here being to push the Persona back and then quickly stab through Hifumi's chest, aiming to grab the girl that way and pull her closer toward himself. As Grimnir flies toward it however the beast would pull its head upward in a blur, the thing opens its gaping maw and... Attempts to devour the war god in a single chomp, he'd lean downward and clamp his jaws around Grim with something akin to a laugh. The good news for Grimnir is that as soon as the beast makes contact he'd be free of brainwashing, the bad news is by the time he's aware enough to do anything he's likely halfway in its jaws. "Oh damn! Holy crap is he actually gonna get to eat somebody?! That would be frigging awesome, come on Cthulhu you can do it!" As the trains slam into him, Cthulhu would clamp his jaws down even tighter rather than allow this tasty meal to get out of his grasp. Not even defending from that attack has left the beast rather banged up by now, but he's still got some fight left as he aims to choke down the war god and turn his eyes on Lowe.
(Hifumi immediately spams upon taking the full brunt of Cthulu's paralyzing agent and limply falls to the floor. Her halberd clatters right beside her as she continues to come undone in a steady stream of shadows. Her eyes reflect nothing by now as the poison from her leg wound steadily spells an untimely end for her.) I-I need energy ... (She rasps out as her shaking hand attempts to reach toward Alice only to fall under it's current state of paralysis. Her mental faculties halted as well due to her dying state of existence. In her current state she is nothing but easy prey for Cthulu should he successfully bypass Seraph's protections.) (Should the chest pierce go through Hifumi would let out a slight gasp of pain and then hang languidly with no sign of struggle.)
(edited by Hifumins)
In spite of the intense situation, Lowe couldn't help but smile as Suou was getting angry. Everything else around the battlefield was nothing but a blur to Lowe, all that mattered was he wanted to save the guy being eaten. Aww, what's wrong, faker? Mad that you'll always be compared to the other Tatsuyas? Well, let me refresh you! He stuck out one hand, standing tall. You're nothin' but a copy! A train flies from behind him, aimed right for the monster's backside. You're an imitator, and you'll never live up to the man you were based on! If the train connected it wouldn't just stop at hitting the monster, it would continue trying to go further, digging into the hide of the creature...or whatever kinda skin it had. You'll die here, you and your damned toys! When all is said and done, you're just another mistake that needs correcting; and most of all... The train would glow briefly before exploding point blank against the monster. It wasn't a particularly huge explosion, but it should at least hurt like a bitch. ...you don't scare anyone.
Quintus busy concentrating on bringing his roots back wouldn't anticipate the strangely lit tentacles as they slam into him knocking his mind loose in the process. He'd feel himself losing control over what he was keeping pent up as his thoughts would writhe back in forth in his head in a methodical pattern. He could no longer think clearly as C. Tatsuya's voice would resonate in his ears. "I'm not a knockoff...I won't die for the sake of others. Why would I give my life for those too weak to protect themselves...They're part of the issue with this world, aren't they?" Quintus would try to concentrate through the madness but he could only collect himself briefly. "I...I can't let it out...I can feel it welling up inside bu-" He'd be cut off by vision of smokng flowing through his head as the images of his dream would come back to haunt him. The forest he grew up near, the voices of all his friends and family, the fire and smoke...He knew the truth and could feel Philemon's words becoming unhinged in his thoughts. The ones to blame, the crawling chaos. The one who failed, Tatsuya Suou. The one who offered the deal, Philemon himself. Abandoning everyone he knew for the sake of a new world. He felt the emotion overflowing as it tempted to take over once again. Yggdrasil Prime would slowly begin growing darker in color as the tree began decaying. Quintus' eyes would rapidly switch between yellow and blue as his h́͏̕a̢͘͜͞͠t̵̡̧͝r̢̀̀͜͝e̷̵͝d̡̛͜ began being set free. "No, I don't want to remmeber...I...I hate you...this world...everything in it is wrong. I hate it! I hate it all!" Yggdrasil would begin fully decaying as thick black smoke began flowing around Quintus blocking him completely from sight.
Feeling the spear wretch itself out, PK offers no resistance and is left with a gaping hole in his body, seeing the slam incoming he can only struggle to walk out of the way, luckily for him, his Breakfast Blades sees hes in danger and tries to push against the incoming strike to allow PK a slight respite, however his candle is short, he is left with a wisp of life left with the poison eating away at him Gah....
Well then Suou, I'll just have to show you how wrong you are about that. No, you aren't Tatsuya, but you're destined for failure if this is the way you handle yourself. Don't be surprised when you're forced to drop the smile as you're faced with a striking defeat. Maeigaon! Fifteen basketball sized spheres of darkness appear around the fly. With a wave of his hand, they morph into the form of spears before launching at Cthulhu, aimed directly at the center of the beast. Beelzebub starts flying higher into the air, until the distance between Delta and Cthulhu is around 75 ft., and Persona and user are directly above the monster. I'll end it with this if it's still standing...
Stormspyd flying into his hand, Grimnir lands in Cthulhu's maw, snapping back to his senses. The War God wastes no time, rather than falling in, Grimnir turns his spear sideways, jabbing it through the roof of Cthulhu's mouth as the creature eagerly snaps its jaws and using the spear to hold on for the moment Freeze frame record scratch I bet you're wondering how I got into this situation, holding on for dear life inside the maw of an elder god. Well, I must say its quite a story
Alice landed in Seraph's arms, the tentacles coming upon the angelic persona once she was in its embrace. The persona's wings would indeed get pierced, grounding it, but it would attempt to hold its ground against the beast's assault. Seraph wouldn't be able to hold out, but Alice had other priorities so she'd leap from her persona's grasp as it gave out and yielded its ground. Alice assumed a position in front of Hifumi, defenseless now. "I still don't even know your name and yet here I stand. I guess you could say I feel I owe you. You keep endangering yourself to protect me, so isn't it fair that I do the same?" She isn't even sure if the shadow will respond or even can respond but Alice stands her ground and braces for the approaching tentacle. Though intending to try and finish off Hifumins, Alice was ready to take it for her instead. She could hope that it gets her somewhere nonlethal, or that what she's doing now is even enough to protect her new "friend," but that's just a pipe dream more than anything.
Blow after blow slams into Cthulhu, he'd roar in pain for a moment despite wanting to devour Grimnir... The trains knocking into him cause the horrid beast to open his jaws for a moment, despite that, however. He isn't letting Hifumi getaway, a tentacle slams into Alice and sends the girl flying to the left side of her and tossing the young woman aside, she'd no doubt tumble away and feel some blunt impact, but it likely won't kill. That being done the other limb would suddenly rush into Hifumi, stabbing straight into the girl's chest and going to her heart. "Damn, no mealtime tonight but PK ain't doing so good! I might just get a double kill regardless of that don't ya think!" As Delta's darkness rushes into it, the beast lets out one final roar before the life fade's from its horrible eyes... It would scream at Delta for a moment as it dies, normally they'd fade back to the school... But given that PK is still poisoned, things would hold here for a moment sans the now defeated Cthulhu. "Clock's ticking kids, so unless you want to lose the Pancake idiot I'd suggest moving very quickly here."
PK takes deep breaths as he raises his hand weekly in the air, calling back his swords as they fuse into Waffles while flying back, spreading a vast green light all over the room, healing all the recent injuries. PK then takes a deep breath as he stands up again, shouting out with renewed vigor Alright! I'm glad we got through that! I need to get stronger! Something like that can't happen anymore! PK then eyes the dying Hifumins and closes his eyes, placing his sword down I won't let you die in vain! Shadow Tatsuya will pay for this! Justice will be served!
Flying down from the air, Delta lands next to Quintus. He dismisses Beelzebub and tries talking to the boy, having heard his outburst during the chaos of the fight. Quintus! Calm yourself down and think. There exists darkness in all of us but that doesn't mean we should let it control us. If this is who you are then so be it, but don't lose sight of who you are and who you want to become!
Alice is tossed aside like a rag doll by the mighty tentacle. She'd roll like once or twice before stopping on her side with her back to the action, unaware of the fate that had befallen the woman she tried to protect thought she could probably take a pretty good guess. She'd simply lie there, her spirit somewhat broken, before Shadow Tatsuya chimed in and brought PK's dire condition to her attention. "I couldn't save her either... I just can't keep up. Pancake boy won't be any different." In her despair she'd find the room lit aglow with green as PK works his magic. She'd roll onto her back to see what's happening, finding that PK was able to heal himself as well as the others. She was unable to even look at the area where the Shadow Hifumi had been before her death, instead rolling back onto her side for another short while before deciding that she was simply wasting her time on the ground. She'd stand up and approach the others.
(Hifumi's short, pathetic life ends with every bit of her essence pouring out as she groans in agony. She is barely conscience during the process and with how quickly she disappears one must wonder. What was even the inherent point of her existing?)
Lowe stands over Hifumins, his expression grim. That wound...well, it was gaping. There wasn't much hope, if any for her. He bent down to her level, and if her eyes were still open, he'd close them. His hands shuddered a bit, and he punched the ground next to him. Damnit! In a way, he felt responsible. If he hadn't run off on his own like always, this wouldn't have happened. He didn't quite get the girl, nor was he fond of how she treated people, especially Alice, but she was still a person. Someone he could have protected. He stands up, his hands balled into fists. SUUUUUUOOOOOOOOOOUUU! He looked down at the girl again, now seething with rage. That bastard will pay. Trying to keep his cool, he turned to where Alice had ended up, and made his way over to her. He wanted to say something to comfort her, but words wouldn't come out. Instead, he simply placed a hand on her shoulder. He didn't say a word, and didn't dare try. He wanted to stay with her, but was more focused on Quintus. He decided to join in with Delta, trying to reach the man. And just what do you think you're doing?! The world? Everyone in it? Just what the hell makes you think that?! Don't lose yourself in the dark thoughts that monster put in your head!
PK watches the dying shadow slip away into the night, even if he didn't know them especially well, it was still a loss of life, and that hurt the optimistic Knight, no matter, only one thing to do. Taking his sword again he walks over to Alice and gives her a small smile Thanks for your help! It's unfortunate that the other person didn't make it! But we have to keep moving! We cannot falter! PK then observes his surroundings, looking for the next area to continue, he didn't want to mess up what Delta was doing so he stayed a little bit away
The smoke would slowly begin to clear as the yellow glow to Quintus' eyes would begin to fade. He'd begin coughing as if the smoke was starting to choke him. The memories would once again be sealed away within the depths of his mind as if they never existed in the first place. Finally, when the smoke clears he would slowly get up and look over towards Delta and Lowe, his eyes oddly being absent as if waking up from a daze. "I...What's going on? There...was a monster, right? Is it gone now?"
The scene fades away, for a moment there'd be nothing around them as the tower of this horror gives way to a stairway in Seven Sisters once more... It stretches upward, lord only knows where this one leads. But, for some reason the same old inky black door would appear on the side of a wall, to be exact wherever Emerson happens to be right now. It'd appear before the young man and pull him inside it before vanishing on both sides. C.Tatsu's voice rings out cheerfully as soon as Em appears. "Oh hey, Em how's it going!? Man good timing, with that Shadow kid dead they could use somebody ta fill up the ranks, don't ya know! That's why you're here actually, have fun with this place old pal. Suou signing off." With that, the stairs would beckon the party toward themselves... Assuming one went up, they'd find yet another vision before them much like the one of C.Tatsu's making. This time, however, the Shadow sits alone inside of the shrine where Lowe had fought against him, muttering to himself and looking around now and then. Past C.Tatsu: "Gah... This is so frigging boring, I was expecting to find something fun to do out here. Or at least for my so-called real self to appear." The mention of... That one is enough to cause sparks of flames to burn up around the man, that idiot pisses him off beyond belief. Tch, some crap about bonds? Who even cares, power is the only thing in the damn world that matters in the least bit! "I'm better than both of them put into one, that's the whole point of me, isn't it? I'm far greater than the sum of my parts... And I'll prove it to them all." There's a burning longing in those words as the man stands up, he can hear... Oh my, C.Tatsu spots a pair of cops walking into the shrine, any thoughts of his life are tossed aside as the man draws his blade and conjures up a Persona. Only horrified screams of the two men can be heard and the sound of crashing water on the ground before the scene finally fades to black, the party would stand before a door that... Is entirely normal, no senses of dread or nothingness or laughing. Just a normal door leading to something or another, of course, if they're sane they'd expect things to be rather deadly in there... Wait, there is a sign on the door reading. "Bring it, nerds of this place, my Wrath will rend you guys to nothing in an instant. Signed Ira. OOC and given how long that fight with an elder god took, I'm calling it quits for now sadly. Hope people enjoyed this battle though, tune in next time....
