Why do people hate Teddie?

Serious question here, I don't get all the hate.
He was one of the best P4(G) characters.

I like Teddie, he can be a bit annoying at the start of P4 with his terrible puns and how he's always trying to be a womanizer, but you're a loser if you care about the second one.

Teddy wasn't all that bad at first. The bear jokes got a tad old, but he was mostly harmless and was just there to help.

The moment he developed a body is when my persona hatred started. He went from being a kinda lovable mascot to a horny teenage kid with no restraint.

His personality wears on you in a long game like P4. It gets to that point where it's like "okay teddie. We get it. Let me get on to the next scene."

Both the original ENG voice and JP voice wear you thin after prolonged periods. Sam Riegel did a great re-dub for Golden and that redeemed him slightly, but he's originally written to just slightly annoy you but frequently.

I played Golden before hearing how he sounded in the original. The redub for both Teddie and Chie was such an improvement over their original VAs. I'd probably not like Teddie either if I played the original first.
