Commence Experiment
Congratulations!!! You and a few other lucky individuals have been invited to take part in a grand experiment into the world itself, take care and do be ready at all times. Of course, success or no I am prepared to reward you extensively for your aid, in addition to the honor of participating in such an important event. At least, that's what the note you found slid under your front door said. Of interest is its failure to mention what this "experiment" was or even how you would be paid. Perhaps even more curious were the instructions, leading to the end of an old subway tunnel deep into the night. This tunnel rarely sees use during the day, and with almost all trains being down this late it seems unlikely the group will be disturbed. Though one might wish to mind the third rail, still crackling with the energy usually used to run the trains. It is deep within this tunnel that the "experiment site" would be found
I see. How curious. I shall join this experiment and make an observation from a different point of view. Sakura walks down the steps to the platform, note in hand What point is there in not aiding ones experiment after all? She draws her staff and examines the area before continuing to the site

"Experiments! I love experiments~!" Of course, honor and rewards was the way to go for him. The one incentive that motivated him enough to come here, especially when the place looks so grim and kind of creepy. He didn't care however, as this entire deal got him curious enough to come and check, because even if it was some kind of trap, he was fairly confident he could pull through and get something out of it. "Now, if only it wasn't this dark..." He kept walking forward with the aid of a flashlight. And so, he kept walking forward towards the experiment site.
A woman in a white dress wanders the streets, one might also note the golden gear that somehow hangs off her waist. She'd found some bit of paper laying on the ground about... Bleh science, but if she's lucky this means there's a very desperate Veronica who's also found herself in some strange world. "Well, I guess that I should at least look into this... I haven't got any clue where I am, who else might be around... Who knows, maybe I can figure out a way to get back home if I dig into enough things." That said, the woman continues walking along, finally reaching the rail tracks and staring at them curiously. She's never seen anything of the sort before, but it's almost a sort of road? Regardless, she's seen enough lightning magic to know that energy is dangerous. After a while, she'd likely be nearing the end of things and reach this site. Looking ahead with a wary face as she scans for threats.
Jason examined the note, which had somehow made it to his apartment. After a long argument with himself, he decided to actually go. After a long journey, he arrived at the train tunnel and walked towards the "experiment site".
A youngish woman with almost no clothing but black fabric covering around her walks around the area and notices the note. "Hmm, intetresting. I wonder if this has anything to do with this strange alternate universe I have entered."
Kazuo finds the long, poorly lit to be surprisingly leaky, considering the lack of rain. Perhaps its some old, unused pipes? He continues along for quite a while, an almost maddening drip... drip... drip sound traveling alongside him. Kazuo notices a puddle of this water touching the electrified rail. There doesn't seem to be much of a leak above it, and a peculiar.... Jewel of some sort seems to be submerged within. Of course, naturally the tunnel extends onwards for some distance With little light of her own, Hilda is forced to rely upon the crackling of the rail to keep a safe distance. Unfortunately, unable to see the drips, she ends up getting splashed with water a few times, but nothing worse than unpleasant. In the distance ahead of her, Hilda is able to make out a small light of some sort, brighter than the rest of the tunnel. Similarly, Jason follows in Hilda's footsteps, able to make out little of the woman in front of him. Presumably they're another volunteer like him. Sakura finds a pefectly normal train platform, empty benches indicative of its ancient path. As she starts to step off, a deep, almost bored sounding voice remarks from behind a nearby pillar "You're going the wrong way. You were supposed to start at the end, where it emerges. Not the middle." Alto's wife is apparently still at home, because that's where her note is Having followed instructions, Zeke finds himself at the end of the long railroad tunnel. Undoubtedly late, he would find little of interest at the edge, save the start of the infernal dripping noise, likely from leaky piping

After Reading the Map only to take possibiliy 30 minutes to get to the location on the map Zeke and pandoria get there after a total 50 minutes taken to do so and arrive "I think we may be late pandy...." P:No.You got terrible sense of direction that's all. "Thank you for the reminder...."
Hilda teleports onto the train tracks, being unaware of what a subway was, and yawns slightly "Hmm, this would be a good place to take a nap. I should bring Alto here sometime..."

"A...jewel?" The electrified rails touching the water was a bit too dangerous, even he could see nothing but a terrible, tragic stay in a hospital after reaching out, if he even gets to a hospital anyways. Taking this into account, and not having anything he could use to safely pull the jewel out, he keeps walking. "I got way too curious, but I value my life more. Next time I'll have gloves on me at all times." Indeed, Kazuo keeps walking ahead.

[A man wearing some odd clothing with a gold watch on his wrist along with a pair of yellow sunglasses pushed above his eyes strolls down the train tracks with a slouch. When he read the strange note earlier that day, he only really payed attention to the word "Experiment" and the directions to the experiment site, which got him instantly interested in this "experiment."] "Ha, I wonder if this so called 'experiment' can help me learn a thing or two about gettin' rich and what not. Guess I just gotta find out when I get there!"
Kai
*Kai wanders into the area. He takes his toothpick out of his mouth and puts into one of his jacket pockets.* So, this the place? Looks pretty run down for a lab, especially compared ta the idiot's one, but whatever. No-ones around. Welp, must be late then. Fashionably so. As usual *Kai starts trying to find other people.*
The woman sighs as water splashes down on her, the wet feeling in her long hair is rather annoying but there are far worse issues in the end. Upon listening more closely, however, she'd make out the sound of footsteps and hear someone trailing behind her. She looks back and calls out to him, speaking fairly loudly given the size of the place. "Excuse me, are you someone else who's come to look into that strange note? I'm Hilda, Witch of Time and I suppose we'll be working with each other for now? Hopefully, there won't be any major issues." With the intoductions done, for now, she'd begin walking ahead a bit more, picking up her pace and aiming to catch up with whatever source of light she's spotted. Likely a person of some sort, and they might hear the sound of feet banging on pavement as Hilda breaks into a run to get closer.
Ah. Well. It would seem I've made a mistake. I would hate to give you skewed results. She points to a nearby wall and a portal opens I shall go to where the most are. After a brief pause of concentration, the other end of the portal opens near the largest group of people Unless you have something else to say I shall be on my way? She pauses, waiting for a response, should he send her on her way, Sakura will enter the portal and come out near the group, the portal closing immediately

Another person picking up the note reads it and thinks to himself verbally "Strange... An experiment? I suppose it could help whoever is behind it. I better get going." Gathering his things before approaching the site marked on the note with instructions, Sho takes a look around, looks like there were a few others accompanying him. Glad to know he wasn't the only one he continues into the den of the lion
"I assume We're not the only ones for this? Cause I would like some Awnsers..." P:Yeah...This just feels shady... Pandoria paces back and fourth in a level of Thought while Zeke looks to other people in the tunnel as him. Being very curious of what's going on
A small hedgehog runs in, carrying a bag around its body. It's almost unnoticeable due to its size alone, although anyone looking closely around the dark tunnel would find the splash of pink in this dull place odd.
A teenage girl wanders around the streets of Shibuya daydreaming about a certain emo-haired artist. Then she stumbles upon a note and reads it. "I wonder what exactly the prize is. Either way, I will join since I don't have anything better to do. I am excited!"
Kazuo wisely decides to ignore the gem, indeed not really worth the risk, and continues down the tunnel. Similarly, as the only one who brought a flashlight, he is able to see a small service tunnel continuing down the left, branching off the main path. Of course, this would require stepping over the electrified rail, but its not too challenging a task for those careful enough. That's when he hears loud footsteps behind him. Hilda runs forwards in an attempt to catch up to the one ahead of her. Soon she sees a faint gleam to her left, though it is difficult to make out in the dark, it almost seems to have stirred. Naturally, Kai happens to find Guzma, who approached the tunnel at about the same time he did. Assuming he'd rather not fall behind, the two would continue down the tunnel, with what little light they have there's little one can pick out aside from the dripping of water. For an instant, it almost seems like something moves to their right, but whenever they check all that is found is empty wall. Zeke soon follows, rather than fall too far behind The deeper voice sighs, voice perking up a little with an annoyed overtone as the portal opens near Kai, Guzma, and Zeke "Whatever you do, close that thing quickly. If there are no subjects there's no point in an experiment?" Sho arrives shortly after Kai Zeke and Guzma, barely able to make the three in the distance. With that little inspiration, Sho heads down the path to the sound of dripping water, with little else of note to be found for now. The hedgehog comes shortly after Sho, and ends up falling right behind him, if they wanted at their pace they could pass him next po... I mean pretty soon. Camziez finds the note at her home, reading of the location, rather strange to be in such an old, abandoned area, I will assume she finds it practical to go to the tunnel as described. Or not, I'm not your boss. Assuming she does she'd find a poorly-lit, leaky reminder of the subway system that used to be. How sad.
"Aha! There's Guzma!" The hedgehog's voice comes from right behind Sho, just before the little guy picks up his pace and dashes past. The creature doesn't recognize anyone else, but they're probably here for the same reason. This terrain feels odd under his paws... It's like stone, but too uniform.
A certain individual found the note in their secret bunker earlier in the day. How the sender got this address made them perturbed, to say the least. Could this be who they thought it was...? They crumbled up their paper and decided to put on their disguise. If this was who they were looking for, it was finally time. They intended to take them out. The hooded individual in baggy pants finally made it to the tunnel. They took note of the others, but remained quiet for now... They decided to light up a cigarette to ease the tension and huff it under the darkness of their hood; it was tense being surrounded by so many unfamiliar faces. They had one goal for now.
Both Zeke and pandoria Look in agreement and decide to go deeper down the tunnel to try and find out what or who formed this gathering
Something gleaming... There's two ways to go, but this place puts her on edge. "Better prepare, something just tells me this could get ugly..." Hilda focuses for a moment, purple and black energy flowing around her as a dark scythe takes shape in her hands. She'd hold the weapon in front of herself and walk toward the faint gleam. At this point the same energy which had summoned her weapon would emit from the top of the blade, illuminating things for about 15 feet around her or so.

Kai
Heh. Not as late as I thought. Unless there are more guys inside, which I'm just gonna assume there are. Anyway, Deepthroat over here sounds a little bit unimpressed with our tardiness, wouldn't ya say? Guess we should keep goin. *Kai puts his toothpick back into his mouth, causing the end of it to light on fire. He then moves his sunglasses up into his hair and follows Zeke and Pandoria deeper down the tunnel.*
Of course. Sakura enters the portal, closing it behind her Hello people. I am here to partake in the experiment together.

"Oh, adventure. Maybe if I-" Kazuo stops dead on his tracks as he hears the footsteps quickly closing in to him. He immediately fears the worst as he is afraid of noises that are too loud and kind of mysterious to him. He creates a vortex of a void, jet black that manages to cast a shadow in the dark, and from it a long sword comes out. He holds it with both hands while pointing his flashlight ahead with his mouth. "Heh goesh notheng." He takes a few steps back before running forward and using the sword to vault himself over the water and over the water, aiming to get to the service tunnel. As he is in the air, he quickly memorizes where he needs to land and how. After this, he lets go of the sword and turns off the flashlight.
Sho spots the other 3 and tries to catch up to them, picking up the pace before stopping when he hears Skymin behind him H-hey! Hold on for a second! You shouldn't go alone! Gah... Sho then shakes his head before trying to follow Skymin, he seemed pretty strange but for now he should follow the small group, not minding the droplets. Probably the rain... Just then a portal opens and Sho takes interest, seeing a girl exit Hello? You are here for the experiment as well? Good to confirm my thoughts, lets catch up with the others. My name is Sho, good to meet you.
(edited by Sho_Kasugi)
[Hearing the familiar voice of a hedgehog calling his name from behind, Guzma turns around, giving the creature a small wave. Taking notice of the strange portal that opened up, looking a bit interested in it. That was, until he noticed the girl exiting the portal, losing his interest. He sighs right before continuing to walk down the path.] "And here I thought that I'd see an Ultra Beast for once.."

The hooded figure arrives at the end of the tunnel, well behind the rest. To them, it would seem almost as though they were the only one there. That is, until they hear a tink tink sound to accompany the dripping everyone else heard. If they were to look towards the source, they'd find a small, blue gem rolling along the ground, a sort of... Thin gel around it as the item bumps into the electrified rail. Hilda illuminates her immediate area, revealing the gleam to be emitted by a... Strange, blue gem. There seems to be a gel around the item, slowly... Coalescing? In moments, the entire gem is covered, a few inches of this substance surrounding it. Guzma and Kai proceed onwards, almost blinded by Hilda's sudden flash of light, they find a strange, white-haired woman menacingly wielding a scythe while she gives a small rock a death glare While Kazuo lands a little short of the service tunnel, fortunately the water is merely in small puddles, and thus he easily avoids getting wet. If anything, the service tunnel is more damp and cramped than the main passageway, but it carries the advantage of being separate from the main path, and rather hard to spot. A natural choice if one wishes to continue on alone... It likely runs alongside the main tunnel, though it is difficult to know for sure. Negona emerges from her portal without incident. Unfortunately. I wanted to have her bump into Guzma. Sad face. Anyways, more to the point she emerges into the primary tunnel, finding a small group dashing ahead of her, and from behind.... Skymin and Sho catch up to Negona, the three feeling a strange sense of unease as the dripping sound gets louder.
The flash is weird, but Shaymin's seen weirder. With a static sound and some blue light, a boy with long, green hair runs up to Guzma. He seems like normal, except with much longer hair and a lack of "wings..." Oh, and flowers on each side of his head. "I was looking for you all over! Here!" He hands him a few stacks of bills. All the money gotten from selling crystals. "With that out of the way... any idea what we need to do?"
Hmm. Hello there. I am Sakura Negona, Witch. Shall we walk as we speak? <Lumo> Negona turns and begins walking as a cone of light shines in front of them, originating from the tip of her staff
Kazuo quickly turns his flashlight on again as he takes a better look at the puddles he just jumped over, and quickly realized the sword wasn't necessary. Blushing to the point of the dark being lit with a pink tone, he makes a quick 180 degree spin and gets moving to wherever this new path in front of him will lead him, looking around with his flashlight of course. "If I don't find anything else I might as well look for an exit...or force one out in the worst case." Violent methods do work as well, but he would rather not have to use any of them unless mandatory. Although...mandatory can refer to many things. "As long as that weird Grim Reaper thingie isn't following me..."
Sho turns to Negona and smiles, keeping up a brisk pace with her as he looks around, this place wasn't the best for conversation but he's made lifelong friends in the most unlikely of places That sounds good Sakura. If we keep this pace up I'm sure we will run into the others. A witch huh? First time I've heard of that. I'm a psychic myself.
Kai
*Caught by surprise by the flash, Kai staggers backwards slightly. He drags his foot over the ground, sends sparks into the air that fall to the floor and creates a pillar of fire. Kai sends his hand into the pillar and pulls out a Halberd, extinguishing the pillar, and resting it on his shoulders, crouching slightly in case of an attack. He relaxes a little bit when the light fades and no attack comes.* Ugh. Give me a bit of a warning before ya do that next time, would ya lass. What that rock ever do ta you? You trip over it or something?
The short figure would catch up slightly with a determined power walk, but stayed a distance behind. They look to the source of the noise. That gel like form... Nostalgic, but for all the wrong reasons. They glared at it, thinking it could be anything and that picking it up could be trouble. They carefully avoided the puddles until they were as close as they could get to the source they could be without setting it off. Thankfully they seemed to be unnoticed so far. The figure fishes around in their hood pocket until they pulled out a small, ball like device and sat it down. They pull out what looks like a scanner and pressed a button, making the device sprout a propeller and began to fly towards the blue gel. It remained a safe distance for now, but for now it flew and approaches it, opening one if its eyes to scan its properties. The figure watched through the drones eye.
Hilda would look down at the gem curiously... Something like an Orb? Or maybe more akin to the source of her own power, regardless she's got an interest at this point so she'll go ahead and do something. "Space, bend to my will." Energy flows around the girl, namely for the purpose of warping away at a moment's notice if needed. That said and done, she'd poke the scythe downward, aiming to stab the blade a bit into the gel taking shape around the gem. Of course, she's half expecting something to attack her or the sort, and in such event would rather quickly vanish in a blur of light before about 50 feet backward.
"What is this tunnel? WHy did I carlessly jump into this? Well, I will just keep going." Camziez nervously walks through the tunnel. She hears other people, but since she's a loner, she just ignores them and keeps walking through the tunnel. It get's creepier and creepier the more she goes in. Then she screams: "WHY DID YOU SEND THE NOTE?"
[Guzma looks away from the flash of light, covering his eyes to prevent blindness. He looks back to where the flash of light came from to look at the strange scythe wielding woman. Just before he tries to confront her, he gets interrupted by the Shaymin trying to talk to him once more. Looking down at Skymin, he immediately notices the stack of bills and takes them, inspecting them with confusion. He looks back to the Pokémon.] "Umm, what's this for... ....Oh riiiight, the job I gave ya. Good job on completin' that by the way." [He stuffs the money into one of his coat pockets, surprisingly, they all fit in it.] "And for what we need to do now is, um, talk to that girl over there, I guess..." [He motions over to Hilda with his right hand.]
Continuing down the tunnel, Kazuo finds the right wall to be lined with faint, blue gems, spaced roughly ten feet apart, each one identical to the one he saw earlier. There's a thin layer of gel gathered around them, it looks to be kinda disgusting honestly. Of more interest, he'd see a faint red glow further down the service tunnel, considering the lack of lights elsewhere, it is likely another person. The hooded figure's scan reveals the gem to feel... It seems to have a strange pulse of energy emanating from it. The gel around the gem begins to rapidly thicken and expand, before the gem itself rises into the air almost curiously, gel forming a protective layer a few inches thick. The gem doesn't seem to notice their drone, instead lazily drifting towards the hooded figure Camziez's voice echoes throughout the tunnel, likely being able to be heard by all within. Unfortunately, she is immediately answered only by silence, and a faint, purple glow off to her right. Were she to look at the glow, Camziez would find a blue, gel-like form off to her right, slowly drifting towards her Hilda stabs the gel around the gem, prompting it to react, the gel rapidly expands, lunging along her scythe in an attempt to approach her. SHe immediately teleports back, not the 50 feet she was seeking, but more like 20 when she strikes a wall. Probably a good thing not to go further. The gel around the creature forms into a sort of slime, regaining its shape around the jewel before rushing towards Hilda, aiming to envelope her scythe arm Sho, Shymin, and Guzma would all see this new development, and begin to hear a slight.. sloshing sound shortly behind them. Were they to turn around, they would find three more softly glowing gems, slowly beginning to form their own slimes.
Seeing it move made their stomach churn. It was too much like something else they faught before. Regardless, as a scientist they shouldn't assume anything. They pulled a laser gun from their pocket, but kept it hidden for now, just in case this went south. The figure got on one knee and looked at it as it approached. Was it... alive? It may be some kind of life form, judging by the scanner. They wondered if it would understand language... Are you alive? Who owns this operation? It was then that they heard Camzies scream. The hooded figure was alarmed and shot in the direction of the voice, though it's unlikely it would hit its target from this distance. What the hell?! Whoever you are, show yourself! I'm not fucking around! The figure was alarmed, their feminine voice echoing through the tunnel in response. They seem to have lost their cool.
Kazuo points his light ahead just to see if he can get a better look. Anything worked if he could just forget about the blue gems. He had to admit, he didn't like nasty or disgusting things, and honestly he didn't feel like risking touching these anyways. "I learned something today, blue is the color of danger." Without much else to do, Kazuo walks forward. "Hey, you ARE a person right?"
Turning to the noise, Sakura makes an expression of boredom at the creatures I see. Slimes. Usually resistant to physical attack, but seeing as they have Gems..... <Vento Kuglo> Sakura points at the nearest slime and casts, causing a green bolt of magic to fire at an incredible speed aimed at the gem, an impact would cause a concusive force of wind to burst from the point of impact

Kai
*Kai rolls his eyes at Hilda's actions* Well, that was real smart. Guess I should be nice and help the stupid lady out. Hope it ain't fireproof. That would ruin my day. *Kai breathes in, takes his toothpick out of his mouth and breathes fire at the slime attacking Hilda.*
Smile, fairly basic monster all things considered. And if it's anything like the ones back home magic is her best bet against such a thing. "Suffer the ravages of ti-" As she gathers up energy the thing would latch onto her arm, the Witch muttering a curse as her right hand and scythe are quickly enveloped by her foe. Despite that, she's still able to focus on her spell enough to send it rushing toward the thing. Dark purple energy taking shape into a simple ball and slamming into her target. Despite being attached to her arm, the magic doesn't even leave a mark upon Hilda herself. The woman's eyes would go wide however as she hears Kai's flames rushing from behind her, she'd shift her arm around and hopefully drag the slime into the path of them, attempting to block the damage to herself by using her foe as a shield.
Sho watches as the... Thing expands, drawing a pistol off the side of his head as he hears a scream off in the distance, entering a combat stance I think we can assume they are hostile. Whatever they are though are I can't say for certain. Hopefully not previous test subjects. Looks like somebody is in trouble... I'll go looking for them. I'm sure you can handle these. Not wasting a second, Sho places his free hand in front of his face and envisions the future strike on him, knowing the future, he runs past the slimes and towards the voice that screamed, the sounds of a gun and another voice didn't put him at ease. Better hurry...
[Guzma stared at the... thing Hilda was fighting, getting creeped out by it. Suddenly he freezes upon hearing a noise coming from behind him... Listening in on the strange sloshing-like noises coming from behind, Guzma immediately turned around. Could they be newcomers? Or even better, some Ultra Beasts actually did come out of that portal. Fully turning around to face whatever was making the noises, Guzma backed up a bit in shock. These creatures didn't look like any kind of Ultra Beast he has ever seen. Wait a minute, these creatures are the same as the one Hilda was fighting!] "Gah! There're more of those slime things!" [Reaching inside his pants, whipping out a gold plated glock, Guzma shoots two bullet at one of the gems inching towards him.]
The slimy creature doesn't seem to understand what the hooded figure outside of the tunnel is saying. Indeed, it doesn't even seem to react to the figure's sudden shot. Instead, once it gets within five feet, the slime would suddenly lunge forward in an attempt to latch onto the hooded figure's chest. Kazuo announces his presence, causing the faint glow to disappear with a sigh. The apparent person behind it, his fairly deep voice giving forth no hint of emotion, if anything he sounds annoyed "Oh what now? First that portal girl, now someone found a way behind the screen. Well, whatever." Soon enough, a tall, dark-cloaked figure enters into Kazuo's light, tapping his left hand against the wall, either to help guide him or alleviate his apparent disinterest is anyone's guess "You don't look like a maintenance worker. I take it you got the note then? Wonderful. Perhaps I should have written more clear instructions, you're the second person to break the mold." upon contact, Hilda would find the slime to be extremely stick and gross. Perhaps a little cold, but it doesn't seem to burn or anything. Though her arm is starting to feel tired, the scythe seems heavier than normal. Then her magic blasts into the gel, knocking the vast majority of it off of her, leaving only a small amount enveloping the gem, still attached to her wrist. Unfortunately, this leaves rather little slime to be used as a shield, resulting in Hilda still receiving the brunt of Kai's flame. The slime along hilda's arm soon begins to grow again, though it seems mostly satisfied where it is, it would once again try to envelope her arm. Sakura sends a burst of wind at her own slime, it pierces a little into the gel before bursting, sending disgusting goop flying everywhere. The gem itself seems to be mostly fine, slowly beginning to form its own slimy shape once more. Guzma opens fire on the slime, whether through luck or skill, his first bullet pierces most of the gel, giving his second an opening to strike the gem itself. With this bit of force, the gem would burst violently, sending the slime around it onto the walls. While Sho was able to avoid the nearest slime's lunge for him, he was unfortunately unable to avoid the disgusting ooze from the other two explosions. Fortunately some of the slimy mess seems to be trying to get off him, towards the exposed gem, but the rest.... Might not come out soon. Anyways, Sho runs back a little, the one uninjured slime creature attempting to follow after him, though it doesn't seem to be too fast over any long distances
.................. These things are simply not worth my time. Sakura turns back around and continues walking down the tunnel <Vento Sfero> 5 green glowing orbs surround Sakura as she walks, and would fire off and home towards any slimes that got within 5 feet of her
What-- Being distracted by the screaming figure would allow the creature to attach itself to the creatures chest. What the-- Damn you! They had to think fast or this would be trouble. In a desperate menuver, they decided to ditch the hoodie, throwing it off into the air to reveal themself from the torso upward, but for now, this form was seen by no one by the creature themself. They shot another energy shot at the hoodie that the creature was attached to while it was still in the air
Kai
Did I get it? I think I got it. *Kai walks towards Hilda, spinning his halberd in his hand.* Now, lady, I know what you must be thinking? Who is this dashing hero in red coming to your rescue and why did he breathe fire at an enemy that was in melee range? Isn't that a little over the top? Why yes. It is. But, as your residential Nameless Nobody from Nowhere, I don't do thing half-assed. It's better to do things too much than too little after all, yeah? You can call me Kai, and you're welcome. Heh heh. *Kai spat a fireball at the slime, hoping that would finish it off and not make his "heroic" speech seem to be him talking too soon.*
Flames crash into the woman, bursting into her arm and causing Hilda to wince slightly. Despite that, she's still had worse. "In my experience firing off area of effects near allies is a poor choice, unless you have enough control over flames to keep them from hurting your own please try to keep it from being close to me." The said and done, Hilda gathers up more magical energy. This time forming a small ball of the stuff and bringing the arm her foe is attached to close to her off hand, from there she'd quickly aim to slam the pure magical construct into the gem the slime is made up of with a powerful smash. "At any rate, if I'm right this should be the end of that one if I'm correct about how to kill them. If not, well I highly doubt I'm incorrect." Upon hearing the man's speech... Hilda sighs and shakes her head, oh dear. This one almost reminds her of Keith, he was, well a skilled soldier in his own right, but not exactly someone she enjoyed dealing with. "It wasn't quite dead yet, didn't you see more of the slime growing onto my arm? At any rate, I think we're done so I'll introduce myself as well. Hilda, the Witch of Time at your service. And I wouldn't quite say I was in need of rescue."
(edited by -Hilda)
[Right before the gem burst into multiple pieces, Guzma braced for impact by turning around to prevent any of the slime from hitting his face. In slight disgust, he wiped some of the slime off of his back.] "Eugh... That got real messy." [Seeing that Sakura is moving along, Guzma decides to catch up with her.] "H-Hey, wait up!!"
Camziez turns to her left, then turns to her right. "Wh-what is this purple glow?" She grows more anxious then ever, but she decided to follow it. She kept following it into a blue slimy monster appears before her. She runs away as fast as her poor athletic skills could take her. But she was not successful. The creature was growing faster at an exponential rate. There was no escaping. Camziez decided the only thing left was to use self defense. She picked up some rocks she saw and threw them all at the monster, hoping it would suffocate it.
As Sho dodges the initial slime strike he feels a little fall onto him, not preferable but it could not be helped, seeing a lone slime follow him he pays it no mind, he has to get to the person in danger, focusing all his efforts on getting to the entrance as soon as possible
His right eye twitches for a moment. "What do you mean second?" However he quickly takes notices of his own out of character reaction. He closes both eyes and lets out a very loud sigh as he takes a much more calm stance. Kazuo then raises his right hand with his fingers closed together, and spoutting a fake smile, he begins to talk once more. "I'm not a maintenance worker, I'm Kazuo Fabian and I'm pleased to meet you, weird, underground person!" He would then point his flashlight to the face of the other and open both eyes, making his very clearly fake smile into a goofy one. "And what do you mean about a note? I never got any. Is this some kind of test." The note was, of course, inside of his left pocket. But this man didn't need to know that, at least not yet, maybe not ever. Now, Kazuo keeps up the act just to see how he would react, going as far as to let out quiet giggles from time to time for each passing second he waits for the man to reply.
Last time on our hero's adventure these three things happened! First, Eiji managed to find himself a suitable home quite similar to a restaurant he lived in. Second, Eiji found himself in the infamous GYM, where he fought against the neutral Kazuya, who simply abandoned the fight! Third, Eiji found himself managing his own restaurant modeled after the one he lived in, but to little success! Now, what adventures await the wanderer this week? "Umm... Is this the place for the part time job? I got the flier!" A man wrapped in cloaks of various color wanders to the tunnel, minding the tracks. He jingles with the sound of loose change. He stops, hesitating to step forward, and decides to await a response. "And uh... it didn't mention what kind of experiment, but as long as it's not too dangerous, I'd be happy to help out!"
Interestingly, the slime doesn't seem to burn, or hurt in any noticable way. Rather, the hooded figure's chest simply feels... Heavier, more exhausted. Though some slime managed to get through the hoodie. They rapidly remove their clothing, tossing it aside, taking the gem along with it. Once they shoot it, the gem shatters, sending more of the goo raining around the tunnel entrance Eiji might consider himself a little late to the party, as he arrives in time to see a person shooting lasers at a rock, which then explodes into a shower of goo. Just a normal day here. Camziez gets a decent distance away, only to find her path blocked off by the highly electrified third rail, though there's some chance she may be able to jump over it. As for the rocks she throws, they sink into the gel with little noticable effect, aside from pushing it back slightly. The slime stops growing after a certain point, leaving it roughly half of her size as it attempts to latch onto her chest. Sho walks in to find a young woman being assaulted by another of those slime things, really where did they all come from so suddenly? Negona casually decides to ignore the somewhat slow slimes and walks forward, Guzma dashing after her, and casually passing by Kai and Hilda. After a short time, she would see a small, service tunnel branching off to the left, though she would have to jump over the electric rail to get to it. Or she could continue further down the main tunnel, either way it would seem nothing can be bothered to follow her. Speaking of Kai and Hilda, Kai's smaller burst of flame seems to pain the creature, one could almost hear a scream of agony as it attempts to get away from the fire, this makes it much simpler for Hilda to crush. Unfortunately the resulting spray of slime probably isn't getting out of her dress anytime soon. But at the very least she's not really hurt. As for Kazuo, he gets a good glimpse of the figure's honeydew eyes before they manage to bring up their right arm to protect themselves from the blinding flashlight. The figure backs away a little, begrudgingly replying "Just my luck, some random kid decides to finally explore this place the day of the experiment. At least you didn't skip to the end like the other one. Well, its really no concern to you, though I'd rather you leave me to my work. If you happen to see any slimy creatures, feel free to ignore them. Not really threatening, though admittedly its pretty disgusting. Took weeks to get the mess out of my clothes."
Hmm.... Knowing that this is an experiment, I would say that the rail exists to discourage moving in that direction. Negona follows the main tunnel, light ahead and magic floating above her Let us carry on and continue.
Kai
Heh. Knew you would say that. Still did it anyway. Besides, I think anyone stupid enough to hit a glowing rock without thinking of the consequences is kinda of in need of at least one pair of eyes watching their back, yeah? *Kai smirks, chuckling slightly to himself. He spins his Halberd around before resting it on his right shoulder.* So, I suppose we should head forward into this funhouse, doncha think? I can be your bodyguard so no-one... heh... burns the witch. Come on. *Without waiting for an answer, Kai starts heading further in, expecting Hilda to follow his lead.*
Sho sees a woman getting attacked and aims his gun up, yelling to the victim There you are! Try to get as far away from it as you can! I'm gonna attack it! Sho then waits a couple of seconds for the girl to get away before activating his gift, analyzing the area around him creating a map of the area in his mind, drawing out the trajectory of the bullet mentally. After doing the intense calculations he fires his gun with pinpoint accuracy, aiming directly for the gem. However, after the shot he puts his hand up to his forehead, feeling his sanity cut down to about 60%. Better conserve sanity...
The magical orb and scythe both vanish... Speaking of vanishing things, she'd close her eyes for a moment and focus on the goo now coating her dress. After a moment, the same purple energy, as usual, appears and warps the slime off of her clothes in an instant. "Hmm, fairly weak for a monster. Much easier than what I'm used to in fact, at any rate, I'm considering leaving this place now... I'd hoped these notes were related to someone I know, but slimes don't really fit her style." Stupid enough to... There's a burning glare as the woman does not, in fact, fall behind him. "I miscalculated my warp a bit, but I still had things well in hand. Besides, your attack didn't even finish the job." Burns the Witch? She'd scoff upon hearing that line, many have tried, almost all of them are dead... For a moment her eyes would fall down at that thought, but she'd quickly shake her head and carry on. "At any rate, I guess I'll work with you for now Kai. But do try to keep things professional. I'd rather not spend our time bickering pointlessly so I'll just move on from this topic."
"Well, if ya say so." [Guzma follows Sakura down the main path. While walking down the main path, he looked around to see if anyone was following them. Then her realized, where did Skymin go? He was just behind him a few minutes ago and now he disappeared. He probably ran off. Other than that, Guzma forgot to give him half of the money like he promised, he'll try to remember to do it the next time he sees him.]
"I'm sorry, Mister doctor~!" Perfect, he doesn't seem to care much about this young man anymore and is probably looking down on him. Although Kazuo suspects this man would've done that from the beginning anyways. Now, onto the next part. "You see, while I didn't get a note, I DID follow a group of people that kept talking about an experiment, so I decided to come a look for the man in charge of it. If you are...then I would like to see it happen, and if possible, to learn from you~" He would then point the flashlight elsewhere, since he knew annoying him with light was enough, at least for the time being. After this, he would take a few steps forward and bow in a show of respect, the darkness hidding the grin on his face and almost sickeningly arrogant look on his face. "I will do my best to assist you, I'm looking for a master, someone I can learn from."
Just a normal day here. Yeah. Instead of move to help, he simply stands there taking in the situation. Nobody LOOKED to be needing help, but it's best to be prepared. He slaps a mysterious blue and black device to his waist, and it makes a sound like something charging with alien power. The sound reverberates throughout the tunnel, and Eiji covers his mouth in an attempt to hide his own noise. Smooth. HEARING people actually struggling doesn't put him at ease, but more puts his engine in gear. So he slots in three traffic light colored medals into the belt and cranks it to the side with a loud kerchunk. He retrieves a gilded disk from the side, and slides it down the railing. "Transform!" TAKA! TORA! BATTA! TATOBA! TATOBA TATOBA! "H-Hang on whoever you are!" With a flash of many colors and several coins coming to a halt before him, the man who was once Eiji has been replaced by a man in a black suit with a red hawk faceplate, a yellow tiger chest piece, and green grasshopper legs.
(A small rumble can be heard from guzma's feet, well, more like a vrrr sound, then, a 7'3 snake centipede hybrid jumps straight from the ground up in front of guzma, and follows him) ....ayyyyyy, did I come at a bad time?
Hearing a voice behind them, the figure sees another person... But they too run by in a dramatic fashion. They were impressed by their grinding skills, however. It was almost like... ...No, fuck it. Those times are over now. They decided to give chase as well; Might as well. Where the others are going, that might be where the shady letter sender is. They walked over to pick up their hoodie... But, it seems that it now had a hole in it. Shooting it will do that. They clicked their tongue. The disguise didn't mean anything now. They decided to ditch the rest of the disguise, storing their immediate gadgets in their bagpack and quickly speed down the tunnel after everyone else.
As Camziez keeps throwing rocks at the slime at an attempt to stop it from growing, she notices a rail. She jumps over it stealthily. The slime monster's size has been reduced to half of hers, which should make it safe to continue, since she herself is not very tall. As she runs away, she sees more railroads ad carts. She decides to follow the rails, making sure most of them are safe. Then, she decides to hop inside a cart to rest for a bit. "Why did I do this? How could I blindingly make a decision like that?" Camziez tries to check her phone, but there was no signal.
The cloaked figure sighs, lowering their arm as soon as the light is away. The bow is... Weird. But its probably a gesture of some kind. THat makes the most sense, considering that the person is making a request. The figure sighs stepping closer to the wall You just missed the experiment. It wasn't that long or complicated, a simple reactionary test. As for an apprenticeship, well, not everyone can utilize my line of work, in addition, I already have an apprentice. Can't have more than one, its against the rules. The figure steps towards the right wall, attention largely off Kazuo, they reach down with a gloved hand and pick up one of he small blue gems, sweeping some of the slimy mess off of it. In fact, I was just about to take my leave. Negona and Guzma continue down the tunnel for some time, finding very little of interest until, off to their right they find a subway platform, one Negona would remember. Its aged rather poorly, showing significant signs of decay, but the stairs are obviously good enough to function Hilda and Kai continue down the path, after cleaning up a little. It wouldn't be too long before they come to a sort of split in the path, illuminated by Hilda's glow. To their left, over the electrified rail, they'd find a small service tunnel, small enough it would be difficult to walk side by side, branching off of the main tunnel. No more of the slimy things seem to emerge from anywhere. Camziez, in an almost ironic twist, uses the rails to go off the rails, I'm uh... No longer entirely sure where we're going, but I am kinda interested. For everyone who dashed to her rescue, Eiji and the hooded figure hear a gunshot as Sho fires at the slimey creature. The bullet goes through its gel with little resistance, soon striking and shattering its gem-like core. Eiji and the hooded figure arrive at the scene in time to see the creature shatter, disgusting goop flying everywhere. How nice.
Kai
Man, you're a real spitfire, aincha? Heh. That's good I like people with a good fire. Just means I made the right choice in givin ya a hand. Heh heh heh. *Kai stops at the crossroads. He looks down both paths and scratches the back of his head.* So, Hil. Anyway, you can go one way, rewind time, go the other way, rewind time and tell me which path is safer? Or is that not your time witch powers work? Well, either way, think I'll follow your lead. I'm a bodyguard after all. I'm just here to keep you from getting yourself killed.
Camziez didn't use the rails in case they fell into a trap. After her break, she continued following the rails. After 10 minutes, she encounters a room filled with Natsuki pillows and posters, as of it were a weeb's bedroom. "HOW DID THIS END UP HERE?" Camziez was super confused why there would be stuff like this in an old cave, it was just completely out of place. Then, she remembered that the reason she didn't use the rails was because she didn't want to fall into a trap. Natsuki is known for being a trap, which was a very dead and controversial meme, but at the end of the day, she did find trap. "Is this some sort of riddle? What is the meaning of this?"
Ah. I see.... That must have been the experiment. Well then, it was a rocky start, but it seems we have finished. I shall now take my leave. Negona simply climbs up the platform and up the stairs
How nice indeed. Of course, it doesn't deter Eiji from looking for the source of the yelling. This damn darkness didn't really help, but in an almost cliche fashion, Eiji's bright idea lights up. From a case in the left side of his belt, he withdraws a yellow medal, this one engraved with a lion's face. He swaps it out for the hawk, and tilts the belt for another scan. LION! TORA! BATTA! The circling medals over his head now land on that resembling the lion, and his helmet changes to a black base with a golden mane, and deep blue eyes. "Huuuwaaaaaaaaaah!" The entire tunnel begins to heat up, as Eiji's helmet emits an almost blinding light. The light of course settles out to an easy to see in, but not dark intensity. It lights up maybe a 10 yard radius.
"Huh? It's over already? Bummer..." [Right before Guzma climbs up to the platform, he looks down at Rep, nodding.] "Yup, you probably came at the worst time possible, talkin' Scolipede. Now if ya excuse me, I'm gonna go home and go to sleep or somethin'." [Guzma climbs up the platform as well before going up the steps.]
"Rewind time? I'm sorry to say that's not quite how it works, and frankly without a certain person around my best skills are out of the question... It's a shame that he's not here, but the good news is I can still warp out if things get too dangerous." Hmm, which way which way. After staring for a moment and looking down the small tunnel Hilda would shrug and start walking into it. "I'll head this way, though in this case, I think I'll actually let you take the lead. Lances and such aren't really safe to use behind an ally, after all, I've learned a fair bit about such things over the years." With that, the woman would keep setting off, hanging back for a while to allow her "Bodygaurd" to take point. He shouldn't complain about it after all, given he did say he was going to before.
Kai
Heh. Alright then. I prefer to hit first anyway, so this works for me. Let's move, shall we? *Kai carries on ahead of Hilda, axe at the ready in case he needs to use it.*
"Can't you at least tell me your name, Pseudo-Frankenstein?" Kazuo keeps his goofy act, although the last thing he said was more in line with his usual attitude. He clears his throat once more before crossing his arms. "I said mine, Kazuo Fabian. And chances are we'll find each other again eventually. Even if you look like the kind of person that would try to win a war by himself, you could always have some aces under your sleeve." Kazuo takes a step forward but trips and hits the ground with his face, hard. He did this on purpose of course, but tried his best to play it as convincingly as possible. He rolls from side to side while holding his face in pain. "MY FACE MY FACE MY FACE MY FACE MY FACE MY FACE!!" He keeps doing this for a few more seconds before standing up and waving at him with embarrassment. "I-I said too many complicated words~"
Sho looks to some new people and looks at them strangely, more enemies? He holds his fire for the time being and tries to greet the pair Huh? Who are you two? Are you more test subjects? Wait... what are yo- GAH! Sho then watches Eiji light up like a lightbulb and tries to use his arm to stop some of the light, running backwards and towards the direction Camiez came from to get away from it.
The previous hooded figure, now having ditched their disguise, is lit up by the blinding light Eiji was gave the visible form of a... Short, two failed fox creature? It wore some kind of a camping bagpack, goggles and some light blue arm band, as well as white and red shoes that have noticeably aged. The fox covered his eyes in response. He decided to move his goggles over his eyes, blocking out some of the light, but it still burned. Hearing Sho move, however, he was forced to shake it off and pull out his laser gun again, aiming it directly at Sho's head. He glared, his expression a far cry from his otherwise cute appearance. Don't move. Who are you? Do you know who's responsible for this experiment? Don't bullshit me. I will shoot you.

The cloaked figure sighs, straightening his coat and hiding one of the gems inside of it, likely a pocket of sorts. You may call me Luard, a resear.... That's about as far into it as Luard gets before Kazuo takes his fall, leaving Luard... very confused. The man raises an eyebrow, watching Kazuo for a few moments until the other person gets up. No longer entirely sure where this is going, there's but one thing to say A... Anyways, I somewhat doubt I am going to need assistance in my research. If anything this was more.. To satisfy a curiosity of mine. I don't know so much about the people here, so I introduced a stressful situation to record their response. Negona and Guzma flee the scene, dawg, ain't that totally whack?... Anyways, in addition to this, Camziez is some kinda shitposting legend. It might not be related, but man was that fun to read Sho runs backwards, towards the tunnel entrance in an attempt to get away from the totally normal situation that is a fox pulling out a laser gun and pointing it at him. Just another average day Naturally, Eiji would see this situation, not that the fact the gun's pointed at someone else makes it much less weird, and little else of interest in the 10 yard radius his light provides Kai and Hilda leap over the electrified rail and enter the service tunnel. They might notice the right wall is lined with blue gems, similar to the one inside the creature that attacked them. In addition, faint noises like talking can be made out in the distance, but they wouldn't be able to tell what was being said yet
(edited by Luard)
Calm down! I don't mean to hurt you. Sho then stops in his tracks, keeping his gun in the air and his arms up, turning around slowly to meet the fox, just barely making out it's features through the light Gah. It's way too bright to see anything... Look. I haven't got an idea for what's going on at the moment. But from what I can gather we are both in this together. Sho then closes his eyes to concentrate and prepares another dodge by looking into the future again, satisfied with what he saw, however, the headache he gets is near unbearable, 35% Sanity left..
The woman keeps moving on, going a bit slower and keeping her body low, those voices likely aren't anyone dangerous but being careful isn't a bad idea. She'd then whisper to Kai. "Hmm, seems we have some other guests up ahead? Or maybe even our host is here... It'd be nice to find out who threw this event, but I can't say I'm not concerned with the thought of doing so as well." Hilda just sighs and begins walking forward at a normal pace again, she's not really that worried over the thought of whoever's up there so she might as well. Eh, she'll deal with it as it comes, though one who knows much about magic might note the rippling around her as she prepares to warp once again if needed.
Kai
*Kai continues on through service tunnel cautiously. He glances back to Hilda, smirking.* Aye, seems like it. Let's go quickly and quietly. Oh, and make sure you don't hit these rocks, ya hear? That would likely end in possible death and I'm not all about that life.
(edited by Kai)
"Curiosity? I'm a pretty curious person as well! I do a lot of things out of curiosity, just like me showing up here!" Kazuo laughs at this, but quickly turns around and beigns to leave from where he came from. "But now it's getting to late and my parents will kill me if I don't get there soon, just think on what I said! I swear that you will not regret it!" With the seeds planted and no more time to spare, Kazuo went back the exact same way he used to come in. It was a fairly simple and straightforward road anyways. Now, he was just worried his mother would kick his ass for the time he took to buy eggs.
Hearing the sound of a laser gun being readied whatever that sounds like, click clack? Eiji turns around with his hands held high. He looks as visibly shaken as one can behind a mask. He sees the gun, of course the light is far dimmer than its peak, as was previously stated. "J-J-Just a minute here! No need to jump to guns here, I thought this was just a part time job! There shouldn't be much to stress about that!"
Before too long, Hilda and Kai would stumble across a tall, cloaked figure standing in the service tunnel, whoever he was talking to is likely long gone by now, and indeed they seem to be turning away for the moment, breathing a hefty sigh before beginning to walk down the tunnel. paying no apparent heed to their presence
Is that so? ...I prefer to work alone, but I'll tag along with you for the time being. If I find out you're lying or if you're playing with me, I'm gonna make you regret it. The fox lowered his gun and looked up to Sho. He tilted his head. What was this guys issue? not exactly his problem, regardless. What's wrong with you? if you're going to weigh me down, I'm going ahead.
Hilda would consider talking to the man, but he seems quite done for the night... And beyond that, she's seen no sign of the person she's looking for either. She looks at Kai with a raised eyebrow. "I'm heading out from here now, would you like me to bring you back out to the city as well, or did you have more to do?"
Kai
Seems like he isn't gonna give us the time of day, does he? Pretty rude if he's the one who brought us down here. Reminds me of a certain friend of mine. *Kai sighs, shaking his head* Anyway, I think I'll take you up on your offer. My curiosity is sated, so I'm pretty much done here. You're welcome for me being your nameless hero from nowhere today, by the way. Bodyguard duty is over until next time, I'd say. Ha ha ha. *Kai smirks, giving Hilda a thumbs up.*
Eiji attempts to scratch the back of his head, but remembers he has his mask on. "Oh... right. Well the least I can do is get us out of here... I don't think there's much to go for ahead of us, so I can get us right out in a jiffy. If you want, that is. I really don't wanna stick around here much longer to be honest. He can keep the money! H-Heck I'll even comp you for the time you spent here!" Eiji fiddles around anxiously waiting for a reply.
Gah... My head... I promise I'm not lying... Hearing the fox accept him for the time being brings Sho relief, taking a deep breath before holstering his pistol and holding onto his head, looking at the two clad in yellow with a pained expression Part time job? I suppose you could see it like that... I think I need to head back though, from the looks of things everything is over. No need to worry though, I can take care of myself. I suppose you can go ahead. I won't stop you. At this rate I'll go berzerk, I'll see you around. Sho then looks between the two and gives a short nod before leaving out the way he came, he didn't learn much about the experiment, but he helped to save someone, possibly...
(edited by Sho_Kasugi)
"Hmm, strangely I have... Not sure I'd call her a friend, but I know someone like that as well. I was actually hoping I'd find her down here, but it seems like I'm not so lucky tonight." The woman shrugs to herself, it'd be too much to find the doctor so easily really. Besides, maybe she's the only one around here anyways... Who knows, but she'll have to keep looking, and search out a way home of course. "Bodyguard... Well, I guess you weren't so bad, not one of my Harbingers or anything but you've got some skill. Now, we're out!" With that done, Hilda snaps her fingers and suddenly a dark purple light engulfs herself and Kai, in moments they'd find themselves standing at the entry to the subway, Hilda smirking a bit as she walks off into the night. "Anyway, I'd say that trip told me very little of use, but if nothing else I've found that this world is apparently just as filled with monsters as back home. Or maybe I'm unlucky? Either way, I'll be heading out now..." She'd keep walking for a moment, before stopping and turning back to the man, there is one thing. "Actually, if you could do me a favor? If you happen to see a young man with black hair, knight's clothes, and carrying a sword, name of Alto, let him know I'm around alright? He's a good friend of mine so if you happen to recall that'd be a help." Her request made, she'd finally walk away from the man for real. Looking around curiously at the rather large city around here, bigger than Lambert even if she had to take a guess.
Kai
Sure if I run into the guy, I'll give him your regards. Catch you around, Hil. *With a smile, Kai slips his sunglasses back on and starts walking off, his halberd dissipating into embers. It was a fun diversion, but it was over now. On to find the next one, Kai thought before the so-called nameless nobody returned to the nowhere he came from.*
OOC: @Luard nothing to say about my situation?
OOC: I did actually, mostly to congratulate you on being such an amazing memer. Pretty much did your own thing, but it was a lot of fun to read
