OOC: a few things I’d like to get out of the way before we start this. 1. We’re not ending this tonight, that much is for certain. So, whoever joins I would like you to be available at some fairly consistent time for at least 4 hours, preferably on a daily basis. As such, I would also appreciate you mentioning these times, along with time zone, in an OOC comment on the first post 2. Though this is definitely not a casual thing, I feel the need to mention that fighting, while an option, is not necessary. People tend to get trigger-happy around here so I felt the need to mention there are other options And that’s it, so without further ado. It started slowly enough, so slow in fact that hardly anyone could tell when it started, but soon the air around the city would grow thicker, almost stifling. To where even to breath became somewhat of an effort. The effects were most obvious in Inokashira Park, a relatively quaint part of town whose trees and grass would normally spring vibrantly to life, have now begun to wilt. It’s a slow process, one almost unnoticeable among the trees, but for smaller things like grasses it was much more impactful, leaving several patches of grass like dried-up husks. Near the center of the park, one tree remains entirely unaffected, save for the glowing red runes on its side. Another, similar occurrence could be noticed at the Mikage Sun Mall, once all the shops closed and the place shut its doors for the night, a faint, glowing purple light shined from the place. Finally, at an exercise place well-known among the bizarre called the GYM, a similar set of black runes emerges from the side of the front counter, facing the outside. Of course, you can’t be in three places at once, so it would be good to think the decision through
Mikage Sun Mall
It was a bright and sunny day, with WAS bring the key word. The heat from the past few hours can still be felt in the dimming sunlight. The sky is colored a nice, vibrant hue of purple and orange as the sun itself heads over the horizon. As the day ships starting to close down, with the night just beginning, many of the people here at the moment seem to have come for a scenic view of the sunset. Among them, a tall, dark cloaked man looks up at the sky, waiting for perhaps a few brief moments
Luard goes to the Apple Store
No, not the fruit. It is finally about time for Luard to update his tech. Considering his last tablet ended up destroyed, now seemed as good a time as ever. And so, the usually reclusive man walks out onto the streets, and enters an Apple store, clearing his throat as he does so Excuse me, I am here to purchase your finest example of mobile computing technology.
The next step
in an old business district buildings frequently become abandoned as the companies owning them collapse, change, or merge, bringing a sort of excitement to the daily life in the area. At least, everywhere but one place. A certain warehouse with a reputation for being haunted. Several people have been seen going in there, but not all of them seem to come out. At least, that’s what the rumors say. The dpor to the building itself is slightly ajar, as though inviting those daring enough to enter
A Drop of Rationality
Among the twisting city streets, various side alleys and shops, businesses come and go, leaving buildings and signs as a reminder of their passing. Some of these end up going unused, for the large part, leaving it open for anyone to meet as they wish. One such abandoned building has noticeably cleaned and improved over the past few days, a fact anyone would notice. Yet at the same time, strange sounds and lights have been reported coming from the building at seemingly random times leading to some rumors of it being haunted. For whatever reason one finds themself their, they would find the door to be left slightly ajar, likely forgotten about in some manner of haste

Commence Experiment
Congratulations!!! You and a few other lucky individuals have been invited to take part in a grand experiment into the world itself, take care and do be ready at all times. Of course, success or no I am prepared to reward you extensively for your aid, in addition to the honor of participating in such an important event. At least, that's what the note you found slid under your front door said. Of interest is its failure to mention what this "experiment" was or even how you would be paid. Perhaps even more curious were the instructions, leading to the end of an old subway tunnel deep into the night. This tunnel rarely sees use during the day, and with almost all trains being down this late it seems unlikely the group will be disturbed. Though one might wish to mind the third rail, still crackling with the energy usually used to run the trains. It is deep within this tunnel that the "experiment site" would be found
Actually not a text adventure by most, but not all, definitions of the term
The business district of Tokyo has long had a history of new companies starting up, eager to make their way in the world, and swiftly being silenced. As is the nature of all major endeavors. These companies often leave some scraps behind, from their overly-flashy signs, to even something as simple as a storage warehouse. In one of these warehouse, there's long been rumors of a ghost, on account of strange noises that are occasionally heard. Of course, some more adventurous individuals ended up checking it out, revealing a truth no less bizarre. This long-abandoned building has become the home of a self-proclaimed researcher, and for those few who pass by, it seems to have even been cleaned up a little in recent days. Though for what purpose is anyone's guess
A Mind Alight
The industrial region of Tokyo was familiar to many companies, with new ones rising up and falling while the old guard maintains their positions near the top. This dance among the lower groups often leaves vacancies in the area, where one company once functioned there would now be little evidence beyond their leftover warehouses. However, in spite of the inherent noise in the area from the many cars and deliveries to be had, a few workers began... Hearing things. Strange lights and sounds had become known to come from one of these warehouses, leading to rumors of it being haunted. Of course, no one had bothered to check yet, but it would only be a matter of time before someone got adventurous, or otherwise was dared to check it out.
High Atop Tokyo Tower
Looming over the city rooftops, the bright, striped tower has become somewhat of a beacon for tourism. Crowds, both foreign and domesticate, eagerly take an elevator to a viewing platform near the top of the tower to take a long gaze over the city skyline. And what a sigh it is, the setting sun allows for a perfect, scenic background to the glorious cityscape of Tokyo, painting the sky a variety of oranges and purples to fill the evening air. Of the many people milling about the tourist site, there is a single man standing out. He wears a long, dark coat, collar turned up in an effort to hide his face and neck. The figure's eyes are focused, not on the cityscape, but rather on the rectangular tablet resting against his arm. The man rapidly taps his fingers against the screen, occasionally glancing up as he takes note on his device
High Atop Tokyo Tower
The figure sighs and throws back his head, his hopes of getting through this quickly having been dashed, yet the man can't help but grin, whatever this strange child is, they are more than interesting enough. The man follows the pale boy's finger out towards the setting sun, attributing it the identity of parenthood. It was true in a way, yet it is almost as though they are purposefully missing his point. regardless, the man soon turns back to the young boy, voice much more rapid and involved than his earlier boredom As you may have noticed, most humans have one of two sets of general traits for example. The man gestures to his short, poorly-kept hair and rather flat and unimpressive chest area "Men", that is to say male humans, have a tendency to wear their hair shorter than their female counterparts and are generally bulkier in body type, and... Somewhat lacking in the bosom area. On the other hand, "women." The man quickly scans the crowd, looking for a relatively nearby woman, one with longer than average hair and... A relatively large chest area, merely to help point out the differences Tend to wear their hair longer and, in spite of their generally more slender body type possess a larger upper chest area. After taking a deep breath and tugging his collar, somewhat relieved that the woman had not reacted, the man looks back down at the pale boy But that does bring up the question, what exactly are you? Do you have a way to describe it aside from terms others gave based on your appearance?
Mikage Sun Mall
Having finished what business he could earlier, a tall, slender man with unkept, blackish hair leading down to a long, black coat, collar turned up, continues his walk around town. On his way, the Mikage Mall catches the stranger’s eyes, yes, something about this place. Though he may not know for sure why, the man enters the mall’s massive doors and begins to look through the building. Before long, they can’t help but take note of the locked blue door and, without a word, draws out a tablet from somewhere within his coat cradles it within his right arm, so he may begin frantically typing with his left
High Atop Tokyo Tower
Several minutes pass before the figure looks up from his work to glance around the tower once more, of course, by then almost everyone he had noticed had moved or shifted, as suited their needs. The figure briefly glances backwards, giving the pale boy a glimpse of his honeydew colored eyes, before returning to his work. Yet, something still bothered them. It almost felt as though... Why of course, the figure turns around completely, revealing a similarly dark attire under the coat, a mixture of lighter blacks and blues that form a rather tight-fitting robe around the man's chest and legs. With a sigh, the figure stores their tablet away in their coat, and look at the little boy, their gaze missing the calm warmth a parent may have, instead merely giving a glimpse of cold disregard for the child. You look rather pale, I trust you to be alright. What is it that brings a lonely little lad like you so far from your parents? In spite of his caring and cautious words, the man neither steps closer, nor shows any hint of compassion in his voice, merely stating the pale boy's condition as a matter of fact, rather than anything particularly unusual or noteworthy
High Atop Tokyo Tower
The cloaked figure puts his chin in his left hand, pausing for a moment, it is only when the pale boy is halfway finished that it occurs to him to begin recording, in a flash, the man's tablet is in front of him, cradled in his right arm while their left taps frantically across the screen. He nods along, adding a few details as the pale boy finishes, before looking up to address the child Not much of a name for something like you yet I take it. Very well, then it is my duty to come up with one myself. For the time being I shall call your kind "Elskerlys", it roughly translates to "one who loves light" Once again their left hand scatters across the keyboard, keeping a few notes as the man keeps an inquisitive eye upon the child Did this "light" of yours give you a name as an individual, or do I need to come up with that too? No matter, lest you say otherwise, I shall call you Prometheus, after the light-seeker and one of the first of his kind, seems fitting enough
High Atop Tokyo Tower
The man grins before turning around to look back towards the sun as it finishes its descent over the horizon, yet he hardly seems to pay any note to the drooping star itself. Instead, his eyes are focused firmly on his tablet, hand dashing over the keyboard to make all the notes he could desire, it was interesting, meeting a new species, yet it was far from his purpose.
High Atop Tokyo Tower
The coated man would look straight into the pale boy's eyes, they were very young, that much is certain, yet it seems whatever parents he may have did little to teach the boy. If they did, considering their current absence neglect seems possible. Finally, the figure sighs, much as it may be beside his purpose, he can't very well leave such a sad case lie, not for the time being, so the taller man walks over to the pale boy and begins to explain, in a monotonous, lecturous fashion Not everything is meant to be taken entirely at face value. In my case, when I ask why you are alone, the question I intend is "where are your parents", the people, most commonly a man and a woman, who raised you from your early years. They seemed not to be attending you, their child, as they are expected to, so, allow me to ask again. The figure would then bend over, bringing his face much closer to the pale boy, even if they needed help, the boy was, to some extent interrupting work. The priority is to resolve this situation in order to get back to other matters, if at all possible. Where are your parents?
(edited by Luard)

Summoned: two destinies.
OOC: Fenris, have you tried writing a character and role playing then rather than making up situations and trying to take over someone else’s thread for them?
Summoned: two destinies.
Luard sighs and crosses his arms, there went any consistency this might have had, but not all is lost. With the beasts distracted Akantor is easier picking. Luard points to the Akantor’s remaining horn and claws There, take off the horns and claws, they’re breakable and highly valuable for me. That’s the best way to aid in this case Luard briefly glances at Sam, taking vague interest in his metallic arm, but taking no notes of it for now The name is Luard, do as I say and we can talk later. Time is of the essence Luard grins, running behind the mid-combat Akantor, before swinging Alondite in an arc in hopes of finishing severing the Akantor’s tail
(edited by Luard)

Summoned: two destinies.
Luard’s never been bothered by the blood, though he finds the variety of creatures somewhat fascinating, he has little time to make note, instead he steps towards the front of the group so he can keep going while he remarks Isn’t it obvious my lord and lady? These ruins are quite ancient, it makes sense we’re far from the first would-be looters. The variety just means one thing. Luard grins and kicks aside a Rathian, stepping lightly around its corpse No matter who they were, or what they brought. Not one of these intruders succeeded
Summoned: two destinies.
Unfortunately, this means rather little to.... Wait, did he say camouflage, as in a magic camouflage Luard detected no traces of? Admittedly he wasn’t looking for it specifically, yet still, likely a master spellweaver’s work. Someone he could benefit from meeting. Luard takes this chance to step forwards Wonderful, so then, that begs the question of how to find this Leo. Do we line up all of Askr’s heroes and search them for cloaking magic, or does anyone have a better, faster idea?
(edited by Luard)
