Joe's Average Joe Cafe
After several months of business, Joe's cafe was finally able to maintain a stable income and customer base. Although it was a miracle given all the insanity that was going down. Joe hummed as he kept in cleaning his coffee cups. He's even opened up a bit and started using his Persona, Mordred, much more frequently, using it to help with the business. "Order up!" Joe took a cup of coffee from Mordred and slid it down the counter to one of the customers at the counter.
A blue haired boy with attenae and a red scarflike ligament enters. He gives a slight smirk as he eyes over the café. He then walks up to Joe and orders. "I'll take a chocolate milk."
before too long a blue-haired schoolgirl would enter the place, exchanging pleasantries with customers before finding her own seat near the counter Nice to see some places are keepin’ busy at least. Was starting to think I’d never find a place to rest OOC: if you’re uh... Still gonna be around I’ll go ahead and apologize for slow posting. Still at work for a few hours
(edited by Sayaka_Miki)
(A rumble can heard from underground, mostly a small vrrr sounds, then, from the ground, a 7'3 snake centipede hybrid pops up from the ground, with a small amount of dirt flying out as well) ....ayyy
*Aki walks by the cafe and looks inside* Does that guy use a Persona to do buisness? Wow I never saw Personas in the real world. *Curious she walked into it taking a seat. She starts taking out a piece of paper and writing. She hums a melody*
(edited by Aki-Joker)
A woman in a white dress wanders through the doors, a large golden gear resting around her waist as she walks up to the counter with barely a word. She'd then look between the owner and Sayaka. "Hmm, this place is rather lively isn't it? Reminds me of a city I used to live in actually. Hilda by the way, Witch of Time." There's a mostly blank look on Hilda's face as she glances over the two, after a moment she'd shrug and look at Joe directly. "Do you have any green tea here? I'm quite fond of the stuff so that would be nice. Assuming you take gold coins as payment."
(He'd shake himself up a small bit, making the dirt fly every where, he then jumps onto a seat, coiling around it) .....god hope he don't remember or think I'm the same persssson...
A pretentious looking Sylveon enters the cafe, looking around to take in the atmosphere before taking a seat. It decided to sit as far away from Rep as possible... That fellow was not good company, it previously discovered. The white haired girl and the glasses wearing man seemed interesting, however. The Sylveon adjusts its centermost ribbon. Good day, barista-san. Do you perhaps have a house blend on tea? It doesn't matter how much it costs... I can probably afford it~
Hilda would look down toward the strange animal, oddly enough it seems capable of speech so likely not a monster or Witch's familiar. "What on Earth are you? Pardon my rudeness, but I've just never seen such a being before..." The woman would blush a slight bit, geez she should at least have some manners. "And uh, I'm Hilda by the way. A pleasure to meet you I'm sure."
*Aki continues humming and mumbles some words* Another path, the road leads astray, destined to meet you on the way, Hoping for the mask to fall off, showing you what I am made of. Yeah, that sounds alright. *she writes on*
(He twist his head a full 360, just for the fun of it) .....now I may be half owl....nah, don't want ta anyway...
The Sylveon peered up to Hilda from the side, its tail giving a sly wag. It didn't seem to mind how oddly put her comment was. Well, my dear, I have two different answers; The cheeky side of me may say, "I'm whatever you want me to be, dear". The true answer would be, I'm a Pokemon. Something not quite of this world. Am I the oddest thing you have seen so far? I don't blame you; humans are pretty odd as well... as interesting as they are~ It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Hilda-chan~ I am Sylveon. Would you allow me to treat you to something?
Oddest thing so far... Hmm, the furthest from Hilda's normal to be sure. "My idea of odd is rather warped, when you've been alive as long as I have lots of things start to seem normal that probably shouldn't." Chan? What a strange thing to call her of all people, the Witch of Destruction being called something so cute. "Just Hilda is fine please, something as cute as "chan" really doesn't suit a person like me. And if you feel like getting me something, well I'm always happy to drink green tea."
Sayaka turns to Hilda, finding a woman... Quite dressed up, referring to herself as a Witch. An easy glance tells the girl that this is not the case, and after what felt like an hourlong pause she lets out a simple What?
.....why am I here again....
Oho, so, you've been alive for a long time. By all means, tell me more. I'm all for a classic Mayfly December Romance~ The Sylveon seemed... easygoing, despite how humble and flirtatious it was in its speech. I must disagree; I think "-chan" suits you perfectly, but I digress. Green tea? Hmmm, you struck me as more of an Earl Grey girl. Alas, a lady always knows their own tastes best~
Jade enters with some sheets of research notes He looks around as he sees a familiar face The girl from the parade, Aki was it? Never thought I found you in a not so flashy place like this. He adjusted his glasses
(He'd then turn his head to the new person) ...mate, café's are like, the only hang-out places here.... And the gym...
She'd turn toward Sayaka with a raised eyebrow, are Witches this unknown here? How strange. "That reaction was quite unexpected, fear wouldn't be out of the question, curiousness, many things. But a flat what? It's new even for me." Hilda would then look back at Sylveon... Oh dear, no no she needs to cut that idea out quickly. "Romance... I'll be blunt, I've got. Well not really sure what I have, but I'm not exactly looking at the moment. And um my tastes run toward, well men." And Early Grey? She's never heard of that one before actually... She'll have to try it at some point. "And I can't say we have Earl Grey in my homeland actually. I'll be sure to get some eventually... At any rate, I'll just stick with my usual for today."
sorry, I gotta go, see ya later
*she looks up from her paper* Jade, I should actually thank you, for getting Kokichi away from our wagon, but I'd rather stay out of trouble. Let's say I don't know if you are as annoying as him. Also I am currently writing something important. *she sighs* No use my inspiration is gone.
He smirks My bad, what were you writing anyway. I never took you for the writing type, more for the flashy showgirl. He looked through his notes
(edited by JadetheNecromancer)
Hah? You're an interesting one, rejecting me so quickly, and guessing my gender to boot. You aren't wrong, however. I just find being ambiguous to be a little more... fun~ Sylveon seemed genuinely amused and enjoying the Hilda's company. It is an acquired delicacy for me, as well. Humans have many things here that did not exist in my homeworld. As you wish, however, your order is on me~ The Sylveon listened to the conversation between Sayaka and Hilda closely. More magical girl and witch things, it seemed... It seemed rather interested as it listened.
(edited by Sylveon)
Sayaka blinks for a moment. At first she thinks the woman might be a cosplayer. However, They’re having a casual conversation with a pink, ribbony creature, so they’re probably either completely serious, or really good at remaining in-character. Either that or Sayaka didn’t get enough sleep last night and is daydreaming. Whatever the case, it’s probably best to take them seriously. Sorry about that. You just... Surprised me. Is all. My name’s Sayaka Miki, pleasure to meet you. With that, Sayaka extends her right hand to offer Hilda a handshake
You thought I was just that? You couldn't be more wrong. *she clenches her fist, but breathes in* /Calm down, I heard this guy has a sharp tongue/ I am writing a song at the moment. It is my way to express and also convey what I am feeling inside. This cafe seemed like a good place to relax and write.
Is it that hard? Her voice is very feminine... It doesn't seem so ambiguous. "Hmm, well once you're a thousand years old I guess these things come more easily? At any rate, I'm a bit surprised to hear that I'm interesting." Most aren't big fans of Witches, and recent events aside Hilda's not done that much to endear herself... Of course, they don't know that. "Hmm, yes this world is full of odd things. Like those strange horseless carriges, it's amazing what people can invent." She'd then turn back to Sayaka, a slight smirk forming on her face as she looks the girl over. After a moment she'd shake the girl's hand for a bit before pulling it back. "Hmm, is it that Witches exist, that I'm one, or that I'm not what you'd think of upon hearing the word? I'm rather new here so I don't have much information sadly. And yes, nice to meet you as well I'm sure."
Nevermind me then ,my research takes me elsewhere anyway, I just came here to disturb your day. He walks out with a smile Although she hides some kind of power, she is to wary, to get any information out of her. Oh well, I don't have enough charm, maybe I need to hire some people for my plans. Jade leaves
Sayaka immediately responds, a hint of curiosity in her voice as the girl tilts her head Well, you’re certainly not the first thing I’d think of when I hear Witch It occurs to Sayaka she might have let on a little bit too much there, the girl rapidly attempts to sputter something out to cover it I mean usually Witches are portrayed as some kinda evil sorceress who does things like turning towns to stone or cursing princesses for kicks or something. They’re usually kinda ugly too, so I didn’t really expect to see anyone claim it, especially not someone kinda pretty

/This guy pisses me off somehow. He reminds me of the times i lived on the streets of Shibuya/ Nevermind. *she gets back to writing* Like Poison they try to take you over, try to search a four-leaf Clover, As long as I see the Light of the End, we will stop trying to pretend. Because my soul cries for you... Not bad actually.
Hmm, this girl knows more than she's letting on... But she isn't willing to share, how annoying. But Hilda would smirk as Sayaka sputters. "Hmm, are they? In my world Witch is just a term for those of us who Sing. It's a long story, but in short, magic is powered by emotion, songs bring out strong emotions of course so they're rather powerful sources of magic..." For a moment she'd gaze down, Sayaka might note a hint of pain on Hilda's face as she mulls over that statement a bit more. "Well, that being said some still think of us that way, and I can't entirely blame them given some Witches have done nothing to help it over the years. Still, we're people like anyone else at the end of the day."
I will sleep now so Aki left the cafe
From the sky a dragon flew and landed outside, she began to walk towards the doors and... Puf... She appeared inside, she looked at the pople inside the cafe before lying down on the ground, to look friendly. Greetings humans, I hope ny presence doesn't scare you, don't worry because I'm not going to attack you, I just came here because this place remains me to another... how was this called? An efoc? The Kushala bowed her head, she was trying to be polite.
Sayaka keeps a close eye on Hilda, on the one hand she did manage to dodge a bullet there, on the other..., This “Witch” really doesn’t seem too fond of the subject, might be best to change it No point worryin’ about it at the end of the day. After all, doesn’t really matter what they think as long as you’re doin’ right. Take it you’ve got all sorts of things to catch up on here though, hu... That’s as far as Sayaka gets before the dragon enters, causing her head to whirl around. Admittedly, one of the first thoughts was to get ready to fight, but hearing them talk, Sayaka relaxes a bit Guess you get that kinda reaction a lot, don’t you?
Hmm, no she guesses it doesn't matter that much. She may have done some wrongs in the past, but if nothing else she'll try to do the right thing. "Yes, I've got... Well, I'm certainly trying to do right yes. As for things to catch up on, humans seem to have invented lo..." Much like Sayaka, she's cut off by the dragon wandering into the building. And again like the blue-haired girl, one might note that she appears to be getting into a fighting stance until she hears the thing speaking. "A talking dragon huh? All the ones I've met before just tried to kill me on sight, but as long as you aren't here to fight then I'm willing to be peaceful myself."
The Kushala looked to Sayaka with the corner of her eye, she did the same with Hilda, she knows they were about to attack her, well, for an instant she thought she would fight Sayaka or Hilda, but she also calmed down when they didn't attack her. I'm used to that, I still remember when an human attacked me with one of that things. The Kushaka used her head to point to a spoon. I don't know what he wanted to do with that, but anyways. You don't really have to worry about that, I'm used to be attacked by humans, also, I want to tell you that I never attack humans without reasons.
(edited by Kushala_Daora)
After staring at the dragon for a good few minutes, Hilda would simply blink and shake her head. Looking over at the spoon with a stunned expression on her face. "Who would try and use that as a weapon? There are far better things one could use to slay dragons... Err, not that I'm planning to do that right now." For once she feels rather off balance, a speaking dragon isn't something she'd expected to run across after all and it's quite strange after having killed so many mindless beasts in this shape. "At any rate, I'm Hilda the Witch of Time... And I suppose it's interesting to meet you, I can honestly say this is a new experience for me."
Sayaka looks over to the spoon and laughs, trying to imagine someone fighting with it Hey, gotta be better than nothin’ right? I like to think of them as exceptionally brave. With a little sarcastic emphasis added, Sayaka grins at both Hilda and the Kushala Speakin of modern things, I was wonderin. There’s probably a few things we’ve got in common, like stories and stuff. So, while we’re here, what’s your favorite kinds? It might seem to be coming out of nowhere, but to Sayaka it was a carefully planned idea.... Onlt given a few kinks by the sudden dragon
Ding goes the bell signalling a newcomer to the cafe. His dark blazer and red tie show he's likely a businessman, but what does the briefcase at his side contain? Nothing good one would imagine, as the man bore with him an icy aura. The frost of indifference chilled all who dared meet his gaze. He takes a seat and sighs as the seems to clear his mind. He sits patiently waiting for his order to be taken. "Hmmm... what a lovely day." He glances out the window to stare at the sky above.
The Kushala looked again at the spoon, why it was funny? Maybe is a human fact she doesn't understand, anyways, the Kushala began to think and remember things she could use as history. Well, I have a lot of things: When i fought a Teostra, an infernal elder dragon. When I got drunk by eating a hunter. When a parasite tried to control me. When I won a price to the best costume. And more things, I could need a bit of time to remember.

Stories hmm? She can't really think of any... Well, it's more of a history lesson than a story but she could share that one. "Hmm, there is a story from long ago in my homeland. It's the only one that really comes to mind but it's also quite important to me... And well, more history than just a story." Something tells her this girl is fishing for something, but Hilda's got no reason to hide this bit of info. She'd cough into her hand and clear her throat for a moment "Long ago in the land of Regnant, mankind grew proud and foolish. Thus the being called God took the art of Song from them, leaving only Witches with command of it. Things went on like that for quite some time..." She'd then sigh, looking down as her expression turns a bit dark. "Until a thousand years ago, faith in God was lost and thus she set out to wage war on humankind. Her angels descended from the heavens and laid waste to all in their path, that is until someone rose up to confront her." Hilda's face would turn to a smile at that hints of sadness showing through it but clearly, this bit lifts her spirits somewhat. "The hero Elcrest, whereas Witches sing a Conductor like Elc leads the. With such power, a Witch's true skill can be unleashed, together he and the king Xeno, along with the five witches of that era left to face God. Eventually quieting her wrath, though at the cost of Elc and Xeno's own lives." With that she'd take a deep breath and look around the room, spotting Dan after a moment but deciding not to speak with the frosty looking man quite yet. At any rate, that's the basic gist of things as I know them. Though I could go into more detail I don't think I will... Now, I've shared mine, so I'm curious what sort of story you'd share, Sayaka."
The Kushala quietly listened to Hilda's history, she was happy to have heard an interesting history like that one. You have interestings things to tell, I have to say I don't understand a few things, but you don't have to worry since I'm not used to human histories and mythology The Kushala continued thinking about Hilda's history, it was the kind of think she likes to think about, something that could help her to undertand human's nature.
This wasn’t quite what she had expected when asking about stories. Admittedly, Sayaka had hoped they’d know she meant a form of fiction.... They seem to be taking this very seriously. Sayaka grins, forming a cunning idea in her head. She briefly checks her school bag, soon pulling out a small paper book There’s actually a whole bunch of books written about this one guy, KuGo and his adventures, traveling the galaxy and saving earth from all kinds of bad guys. Following him all the way from when he was a kid. It turns out he’s an alien, as revealed to us by his evil brother early into the second series, Serpent Sphere Y, and we get to watch his struggles with all sorts of other characters thanks to a good friend of his who’s still writing as we speak The girl sounds extremely eager and confident, as one might when referring to a respected hero. Of course, in her case it’s all BS, but there’s no way for them to know that
The Kushala also listened to what Sayaka told them, she was happy, is the first time she speaks in this way with humans. I think is my turn now, what do you want to know about me?
Hilda would bring a hand to her chin... Hmm, sounds quite fanciful really. She can't be entirely sure, but something about the small book in front of her tells Hilda she's looking at a work of fiction, not that she really knows much of such things, but most historical volumes are rather larger in her experience. And most wouldn't refer to people in one as characters. "Hmm, sounds like an interesting tale, I'd offer some fiction of my own world but I honestly just don't know anything like that... And geez, the service here is rather slow today wouldn't you say? I believe I shall go ahead and brew my own tea, care for anything?" The woman would walk off with a smirk on her face, first, dark energy glows in her hand and a coin purse appears in it, after setting 15 gold coins under the register she'd vanish the purse and walk into the back. After digging around for a while, Hilda would stumble across the makings for green tea and begin brewing it up, the sound of a kettle echoing through the kitchen as the woman hums to herself a bit.
Sayaka feigns offense putting one hand over her heart, acting as though she hadn’t heard the Kushala to instead exclaim Oh, so my story’s just TOTALLY ridiculous but the idea that some people walked up and sang God to sleep is completely and totally normal? Gee, bet you’re just a barrel of laughs. In truth she was a little perturbed that if hadn’t worked out quite as planned, but there’s still something she can do to have fun with the girl
OOC: I have to leave. The Kushala looked at Hilda and the to Sayaka, she did it a few times after waking up and walking to the door. I... have a few things to do, I would like to stay here a bit more, but I'm starting to feel a bit hungry and I have to hunt my dinner. The Kushala turned back at Hilda and Sayaka, before leaving. The next time I told you and history about me if you want, farewell humans. The Kushala appeared outside and she began to fly away.
Hilda would come back out carrying a few teacups and a kettle, the smell of green tea wafting through the air as the woman pours herself a cup and takes a sip, a serene smile crossing her face as she looks over at the younger girl. "Laughs? No, I don't claim to have a good sense of humor. And it's not just sounding odd that tipped me off... "Characters" you referred to them as characters rather than people at one point." Hilda would shrug and pour out another cup, sliding it over to Sayaka with a smirk on her face. "Besides, believe it or not honestly. If you'd prefer to consider my words a story then that's fine too." Finally, the woman would raise a hand to her chin and ponder for a moment. Hmm, well no harm in asking about it right? "And by the way, have you seen a young man named Alto around? Black hair, knight's clothes, carries a sword around all the time. He's a good friend of mine."
Sayaks pauses for a moment, thinking back. It had naturally come to her go say characters, still as far as it went she did pretty well. That over with Sayaka relaxes a little, flashing Hilda a grin as she leans back Never got his name, but I did pass by a guy with black hair, a sword, and some kinda uniform. Looked more like a marching band to me. Never got his name though, just kinda passed by a few times
A man with a bean cap and green coat with a glock 17 hid away in it walks in leaving a shopping cart outside with sign on it saying "Property of homer" and the man sits down somewhere knowing he may be thrown out anyway, But he might go and try and get something to eat. "How much can i get from 500 yen?"
Hmm, that does, in fact, sound like Alto to her... "If you see him again mind asking for a name? I think that's Alto but I can't be entirely sure, if so though let him know I'm around assuming it's not too much trouble." Hilda would slug down the last of her cup of tea... Well, last of her third cup really, Sayaka might have noticed the woman devouring it all too happily. "That being said, I'll be heading out for now. See you around Sayaka." Magic ripples through the air, dark purple and black energy glowing before a portal briefly engulfs Hilda's body as the woman smirks at Sayaka. A moment later the Witch and magic would both be gone without a trace, honestly, she didn't even need to do that. Entirely for the sake of messing with the kid, not that she'd ever admit it to anyone. Either way, Hilda continues walking down the streets of Tokyo and looking around curiously at this strange and unknown land.
"Sorry the wait, everyone!" Joe came up carrying a ton of orders. So many that even his Mordred Persona was having difficulties carrying the other half o the orders. Despite this imposing challenge though, Joe was able to distribute the orders that everybody had ordered... except for one, whom he was VERY certain he had banned from his cafe when he first opened it. Snake Centipede or not, he was not fooled in the damn slightest. He quietly went to the backroom and dialed 911. "Yes, this is Joe Kuru. It's that Reperzel guy. He's back. Yes, he's supposed to be banned from my cafe." (Sorry for the super late response everybody, got distracted with another RP)
(edited by Joe_Kuru)
OOC: Oof, tfw the TC shows up just as I've left the thread.
Since the Swat team are retired the Spec ops show up in there place and Arrest Reperzel
Sayaka sighs and looks over at the Hobo with a shrug Looks like there’s n.... vefore the girl could get any further, Joe runs out of the kitchen, orders ready. Sayaka simply leans in the counter, drawing in the thin dust Nevermind, there you are. I was starting to think you left the door unlocked by accident
"Hello, I would like a simple, tasty cup of black coffee." Kazuo arrived in this place with a backpack on his back. He seemed a bit tired as he made his way to the counter. After taking a seat, he would pay attention to the other person inside. Blue hair, young, she seemed familiar somehow. "Do I know you?" He kept staring at the girl by his side, Sayaka. His bad memory was getting to him.
Nevermind, there you are. I was starting to think you left the door unlocked by accident "My apologies, young lady. I wasn't expecting so many customers to come in all at once. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long." Joe gave a gentleman's bow before Sayaka Miki.
"I would like to have something cheap. I got money to pay..."
*Brycen walked into the cafe, with a happy smile on his face like he just got a great birthday gift or something. He took a deep breath as he looked around the room seeing familiar and some new faces*
Sayaka grins, leaning back on her stool as she looks up to address Joe Kuru Gee, no need to be so formal. Just call me Sayaka, alright? A lot easier than all that miss stuff. Besides, I’m pretty much a kid still
Homer offers hot tea to brycen but accidentally spills it on him "oh I'm very sorry kiddo! I really am!"
*As the hot tea spilled on him, Brycen looked at his clothes and just sighs* "It's ok. we all make mistakes. it's not your fault" *Brycen would put his hand over where the tea was spilled on him, some steam came out. Soon Brycen moved his hand away and his clothes looked like nothing happened*
A blue haired young man wearing white headphones on his head, covering his ears, strolls into the cafe with his hands in his pockets and his eyes shut a bit. Opening his eyes, he immediately notices the familiar owner of this establishment, or Joe, giving him a smile before taking off his headphones. "Hey Joe! It's been quite a while."
"Glad to see you too, Jiya!" Joe waved to one of his familiar customers. "Have a seat, I'll be right with you soon." He looked over to the homeless man, "For 500 yen, I can get you a cup of plain black coffee. Hold on, I'll be right with you." Joe quickly assembled a cup of black coffee. With how many coffee makers he had running, he was able to get in and get out in a flash, handing the cup to the man, "Here you go, sir. I hope you enjoy."
