KAMI DA.

He Who Judges the World
In the sky of dawn, a melancholic knell rings over the city. The dew clings to the warm spring morning as though they were tears wrought forth by the sorrow that accompanies the memories of the past. The sun rises over the city, and a sole man stands atop a skyscraper. The bracing winds bother him not, for he stands there with purpose. The distant tone of bells comes to a halt, and the man meanders toward the exit. He enters the city streets with purpose as his lips curl into a smug grin. His eyes hold a chilling delight within them. He arrives shortly at a quiet pond, choosing to rest his feet by sitting atop a small wooden bench. Whoever sees him is drawn into his cold commanding presence, though he carries out mundane tasks, all instincts scream of danger. His soft breath rhythmic as a grandfather clock, he moves toward the little pond. Stopping to take in the world around him. "The peace made here is a farce... It seems there is a need for justice to be delivered unto this world..."
Game... START!
The cold windswept streets of the Nexus, a perfect setting for the ultimate game. Full of defunct cities, abandoned factories, ancient groves, it was a game designer's dream. It would prove unwise to grant certain dreams. "Ahh, a new place for Chronicle to begin! Though one must consider, what is the market like here? I do not see many corporations around... No matter, the Genm Corporation will dominate all." The wind howls, stirring up leaves around an ominous clock. It ticks mechanically, the hands all approaching midnight. "I certainly hope those defects aren't running around still." The clock reads 11:45.
Game... START!
Masamune wags his finger disapprovingly. He laughs in small, menacing bursts. "Hmmhmmhmmm... it would seem that Bang Bang Shooting has obtained an unlicensed Gashat, has Dangerous Zombie been busy? No matter, if those fools think that Chronicle will end before it has even began.... I assure them it will last forever!" Masamune raises his arms to the heavens, cackling. He draws his arms down to his side once more, as the newcomer approaches. "Not quite, I... am Dan Masamune. C.E.O of Genm Corp. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I do so adore my valued customers you see." He bows humbly, his arm at his waist.
Game... START!
Masamune chuckles calmly, seemingly bemused. "And I look forward to the moment you do." The clock reads 11:55.
On the outskirts of the city...
[RESET] "'Twould appear I have lost touch with the power of Chronicle, and to think that Dangerous Zombie spent a majority of his life working on it. He even wasted his time making a tutorial that in all likelihood everyone would skip, such a shame." Everything done during pause is undone, so the freak of nature is still burning. "I see that you've also noticed these defects, Bang Bang Shooting. I believe it currently isn't worth the time for us to fight, as clearly these defects would ignore our pause ability and interfere."
Game... START!
The clock reads 12:00. Masamune cackles loudly. He wanders off cackling, his laughter echoes through the streets, as a loud gale sweeps up fallen leaves, and small rocks. The striking of a bell accompanies this sinister orchestra, sounding twelve times before fading into the night. "It has begun. Kamen Rider Chronicle has begun anew, and I will see to it that it shall never cease!"
On the outskirts of the city...
A man in a black suit, sporting a frigid resting grin, approaches the group calmly, but his gait is persistent. His eyes are icy, but there is an intricate depth to them. He stops abruptly as he reaches a small distance from the group, his glare surveying the oddities. "I see small conflicts are ever-present, no doubt Chronicle would thrive if such open displays of aggression are common." He laughs to himself, but there isn't any feeling behind it save for malice. He briefly contemplates the economy in this strange place.
Game... START!
His chuckling grows in volume, clearly the clock reminded him of something. "I'm afraid I cannot disclose that information. You are more than welcome to wait here. Of course, that is if you think you would be ready for the event." The clock reads 11:56.
Game... START!
Masamune stands tall once more. "Please, the pleasure is all mine. I urge you to keep playing until you've completed the game." He smiles eerily, but his happiness seems genuine.
On the outskirts of the city...
A clock strikes in the distance. The man in the suit retrieves a small purple device, which he mounts on his waist. "I suppose I should interfere, at the very least so I'm not tied to these defects." He retrieves a green cartridge from within his pocket, and pushes in the button on the side. [KAMEN RIDER CHRONICLE] The cartridge is then dropped, but instead of falling to the ground it floats into the side of the purple device on Masamune's waist. [GASHATTO] The numbers of an analog clock begin forming in front of Masamune. At the same time a strange screen appears before him, featuring a man in a suit of armor raising his right hand. It slides over him, the armor on the screen now meshing with reality as it adorns Masamune. "Some defective units only need to be patched after release." [PAUSE] [All players are now paused, save for one lucky hero. If you feel you aren't worthy to be the hero, press your hand into your allies' to shift the hero role! Cronus will have the same number of actions as there are party members. These actions can be used to defeat the lucky hero, or get some free blows in on the paused victims. Once his time is up, he cannot use it for three more actions.] [Hero:Filia] "I suppose it's time to resolve some issues."
Game... START!
Masamune chuckles again, this time a sinister intent can be heard behind it. "If you will, the present time does not matter. Not to one who has purchased Kamen Rider Chronicle, no. The only thing you should concern yourself with is completing Chronicle." The clock reads 11:58.
