He Who Judges the World
In the sky of dawn, a melancholic knell rings over the city. The dew clings to the warm spring morning as though they were tears wrought forth by the sorrow that accompanies the memories of the past. The sun rises over the city, and a sole man stands atop a skyscraper. The bracing winds bother him not, for he stands there with purpose. The distant tone of bells comes to a halt, and the man meanders toward the exit. He enters the city streets with purpose as his lips curl into a smug grin. His eyes hold a chilling delight within them. He arrives shortly at a quiet pond, choosing to rest his feet by sitting atop a small wooden bench. Whoever sees him is drawn into his cold commanding presence, though he carries out mundane tasks, all instincts scream of danger. His soft breath rhythmic as a grandfather clock, he moves toward the little pond. Stopping to take in the world around him. "The peace made here is a farce... It seems there is a need for justice to be delivered unto this world..."
Its the silent tension in the air, a tension Luard knows well. As the calm before a terrible storm. The young man finds himself unable to focus, and as such leaves his home in order to get some air. Stumbling upon the pond, Luard keeps his distance for now, silently observing from across the body of water, his dark cloak providing a contrast in the sunlight
A young woman wanders the city streets, she'd look up at the rising sun for a moment and simply stop to observe... Something about it seems, hopeful? She's not quite sure, but the coming light calls to mind a sense that perhaps things will work out. After a while, she'd come to that same pond as Masamune, a smile forming on the girl's face as she glances out at the water. For a moment she'd sit down by the edge of the pond, absently picking up stones and skipping them across the surface of the water... Until she looks back and sees someone on a bench behind her. Part of her is saying to just ignore it, maybe even move on and leave... Against her better judgment however, the girl would get up and walk toward him with a curious look on her face. Overhearing something about... Justice huh? Regardless, she smiles and waves at him despite the wary feeling in the back of her mind. "Ah, hello there. I didn't expect to see anyone else out here this morning... Homura Akemi, and it's nice to meet you I'm sure."
Masamune seems to meet Luard's gaze, a quiet contempt masking his intentions. The sunlight seems trapped in his eyes, eyes lacking life. The grin remains plastered on his face for a moment longer, before a grim neutrality overtakes all his features. As Homura approaches him, he slowly turns his head alone. His eyes seem to be a hopeless void, only serving to emphasize his cold stare. This impression fades into obscurity when his eyes light up and his lips curl at the ends. The icy gaze remains, but can be dismissed as his resting face. "Masamune Dan... and likewise. I was hoping to take in the lovely weather in peace and solitude." A tree overhanging the pond lets loose a silent drop of dew. The serenity allows for all to hear it, and the ripples it causes. They continue to the fringes of the placid surface. A quiet bird chirps its daily greeting before taking flight into the vast city. With those last disturbances, the park remains quiet and at peace. Not even the rustle of leaves serves to disturb the silence.
Noe
A small figure lurks around the city. It carries a mischievous, but playful aura as it scampers from one corner to the next... It was sneaking, for some reason. Like a chesire cat looking for its Alice. It contrasted from the morning light, operating like a covert assassin, though, if it was an assassin, it was quite a childish one. It saw something interesting; a girl. Cute, she was. The figure decided to follow... It felt a little blinded by the morning sun, however. Daytimes were bad for the mischievous creature. It changes its course last second, and enters the park through the bushes, making loud rustling noises. One would think it would be some kind of creature, a shadow, or something more. ...But to anyone who looked closer, it was just an unintimidating cat tail sticking out of the bush near the pond. It dangled carelessly before the inhabitant of the bush finally stopped moving.

Luard meets Masamune’s gaze, his own eyes calm, calculating in nature. Of course he notices some hint of contempt, they haven’t even really met yet, so it is likely this other man has a rather low opinion of others in general. Next of course he notices the young girl. Hilda Adams if he remembers correctly, once had an argument over a bird. Utterly incomprehensible. Luard begins to walk around the pond, only to hear some loud noises from the brush. Looking into the bush, it seems whatever is likely attempting to flee, only to make a rather poor effort at it. No longer paying the other two any heed, Luard rapidly draws a magic circle in the air before sending a light jolt into the bushes in an attempt to flush the creature out.
The girl would tilt her head at him, something about this man seems... Wrong, utterly void of life for but a moment till he shifts to a more normal expression. He's hiding something clearly, but she won't get anywhere by prying. "Of course, well then I'll be leaving you alone then Masamune-san." She'd walk off back to the pond... Or would if she didn't spot some man in a black coat tossing around magic toward a few bushes, bushes which appear to have a tail hanging out from them at that. Homura just sighs and walks toward the fuss, looking the man over as she watches the bushes with a wary eye. "Hmm, a neat trick that one. Though I'm not sure it was really needed... Homura Akemi by the way, hopefully, we're lucky enough that whatever is in there doesn't take enough offense to attack for this." She'd sound rather cautious for now, in a contrast with who Luard might recall there's a clear sense of experience about Homura. Even the way she carries herself screams of one who's all too prepared to fight if pushed.
Sig can be seen sitting on a bench near the pond, looking around to see if there are any insects. "Wonder if this place has any cool bugs."
Yamiko would be wandering nearby the very same pond, her hands stuffed in the pockets of her long black coat, her eye lazily glancing over her surroundings, clearly disinterested with everything she was seeing. Despite that something snapped her out of her trance of apathy, her eye darting towards a particular bush with quite a lot of noise. "I guess the rodents are still going into hiding. A little too late into the morning for that though..." Seeing a light jolt fly right into the bushes, she raised a brow, but didn't seem to react as much as she should've, not even a flinch or a wary step, just motionless curiosity. Now, she seemed intent on investigating, something having finally caught her interest.
Noe
NYAAA~!! A black haired catgirl pops out of the bushes cartoonishly after being struck by the light jolt, ears and tail standing on end. She pats her jolted backside, trying to get the sting to go away. She then begins flailing her arms rapidly. W-What the hell!? I was just trying to look for a place to sleep and you gotta zap me!? I-- oh, Luard-san! Hiya! The frantic catgirl, though angry before, seemed to cheer up immediately upon noticing a familar face. If he was the one that zapped her it's not too bad. That was when she noticed Homura. She seemed very happy to see her for some reason, despite this being their first meeting. Her eyes glimmered. Hi, Akemi-san! Wow, you're so cute, nya!~ this is awesome! I'm glad to meet you! Without any warning, the catgirl hugged Homura. This was... awkward. Not to the cat, of course, but most likely to everyone else involved. Whatever peace that Dan was enjoying has likely just been dashed by this eccentric girls noisy personality.

Sig notices the strange cat girl with all the noise she's making and ignores it. He goes back to looking for bugs pretty quickly, and ends up finding one heading towards the bush where said cat girl is, and goes toward it
It was by far the swiftest method to determine what creature is in the bush miss Adams. Even if they took offense I doubt it.... The man doesn’t even glance at Homura, focused as he is on the bushes. Seems it’s the catgirl from GYM earlier. Noe was it? Regardless, Luardtilts his head downward, averting his gaze I would advise finding somewhere better than a random bush. I’m sure this city has plenty of homeless shelters if you are so obliged. Though I do not blame you for attempting to avoid the smell they tend to carry. Luard looks back up to find Noe hugging Hilda, supposedly this is a common sign of affection, so it is likely they are friends It seems you know each other, in which case introductions are unnecessary.
Homura would stare over at the catgirl... C-cute? She'd blush slightly as the seemingly older girl leaps onto her, stuttering a bit as she speaks to Noe. "Um... Have we met before? No-not that it's unpleasant being hugged or anything... But um we don't really know each other all that well. In fact, I don't even know your name." With that, she'd attempt to wriggle away from the other girl and turn toward Black Coat... Adams? Who the hell does he think she is, there's an icy tone as she looks at the man. "Adams, you mean the other one that looks like me I assume? My name isn't Hilda Adams, it's Homura Akemi and I'd suggest not mixing us up. I am nothing like that girl... I may be kind, but her level of naivety is far beyond anything I'd consider." Hilda is bothersome, Homura's starting to realize why that demon "Her" was so annoyed... Hah, even now looking back, she's a bit annoyed at how naive she was in those days. And Adams makes even that look like a paranoid old bastard. Regardless, she'd sigh and shake her head for a moment before shifting to a calmer more friendly tone. "At any rate, I shouldn't get so worked up over it... We do look the same after all, much to my chagrin as I'm sure you can imagine."
With his peace dashed and his mood severely soured, Masamune makes his way to the source of the noise. He chuckles with a deep menacing laugh. He strolls casually toward the now unabandoned coast of the pond, his finger wagging in disappointment. The click of the heel of his shoes echoes across the surface of the pond, and a strong breeze blows from his backside. He reaches the congregation with his frozen presence. "You people are aware that parks such as this are meant for peace and quiet to be enjoyed, are you not? If you would so kindly take that into consideration next time, I would be most pleased.
The bug gets away, and Sig looks disappointed. He looks at the others with slight confusion. "Who are you guys?"
A witch in extremely revealing clothing is walking in the area when suddenly she hears Laurd speak. She approaches the strange man in the black coat and inquires as to what he was talking about. Hilda glances at the man and speaks softly as to not interupt him. "Hm?" She tilts her head in confusion, and speaks to the people in the immediate area. "Did someone say my name?"
"Cat?" Yamiko narrows her eye for a moment as she sees whatever was in the bushes leap out and cling to some little girl. What the hell are all these people doing here anyway? She mumbled to herself, crossing her arms and stepping just the tiniest bit closer, looking down on the scene with what looked like an irritable, but still very subtle, frown. She looks up however, seeing the young man nearby and visibly tilting her head. That's a strange choice of garb... She mumbled once more. Suddenly her eye darted towards the coldness that was Masamune, blinking a couple times with a widened eye.

Homura would look at the man... There's an unphased look on her face despite the aura of danger around him she's not really that impressed. "Last I looked it is a public space, you can't really dictate how those are used Masamune-san. I do understand where you're coming from, but trying to act threating isn't really helping your cause. Still, it would be nice if I could go without being jumped on and or shouted at." She'd then turn to Sig with a sigh, who are they... What a strange question to ask, but she's not really feeling like dealing with it at the moment. Instead simply walking off to the edge of the pond and sitting down beside, staring across the water quietly despite the collection of people around her.
Noe
Noe tilted her head at Luard, still hugging Homura. Acquainted...? O-Oh! we aren't~! I just get a little excited when I meet someone new and cute! that's it. Nyahaha~ She finally lets go, looking uneasy for some reason. She steps away from Homura and just smiles at her. Nice to meet you, Akemi-san! you can call me... The girl poses dramatically, for what reason, nobody knows as she continued her sentence. She seemed to be addressing the new fellow as well. The cutest, best catgirl gunslinger in Japan! Noe-chan is at your service, nya! It was then that Dan made his presence known. His size, voice and appearance made Noe back down in intimidation, her ears drooping as she put her hands behind her back and lowers the tone of her voice. She didn't wanna get in a fight with this guy. Umm... Sorry, mister. Noe is even more surprised by the girl in a... Very revealing attire. She smirks mischievously, a fang sticking out of her mouth. She still speaks quieter than usual in fear of Dans wrath, however. Nice outfit~
Luard leans a little closer to inspect Homura, taking special care to look at the back of her left hand m So that makes you and this Adams twins yes? Likelyceith similar abilities. Don’t demonstrate, a mere nod or shake is enough. It’s rarecfor twins to be born, but they usually find themselves accomplishing something extraordinary, whatever their field Luard maintains a calm, constant tone throughout his simple analysis, it almost seems he was planning to say more when Masamune approaches. The other conversation can wait A still heart can meditate in th greatest of turmoil. There’s no need for special places for peace, it can be found everywhere save a battlefield. Which I do not believe this has become yet. Luard glances around at his companions, Noe giving obvious signs of fear. Not very tactful, but little more can be expected of the average person In the future, I might advise you to hide your feelings a little better. There are doubtless many capable of taking advantage of such things. If one wishes to avoid trouble, then look as one who is not to be messed with
Masamune crosses his arms, a look of intrigue crossing into view. His eyebrow lifts in a questioning manner, his aura still screaming danger. The breeze behind him begins to billow into a soft gale. His suit begins to be caught by the wind, but his hair stays parted. "... and, if you'll permit me to say this, my intent was never to intimidate. I simply chose to make my desire known. Disturbing the peace is still a crime, as I'm sure you are aware. One may even consider my advice helpful... I'm sure you understand." The gale begins to pick up force, and a lone cloud enters the sky above.
Seeing the sheer amount of people talking at once, Hilda saw it best to step away and not engage in the conversation at the moment. She would then hear Noe compliment her, she then smirks egotistically "Thanks, I've had this very same outfit for the last thousand years. I think it's rather stylish, don't you think?"
Yamiko's eye looks upwards, nuzzling into her longcoat even more now that the wind was starting to pick up. She shivers a little and sighs, walking over by the pond and sitting herself down near the others, though still keeping herself a slight distance away as if she were being repelled by a magnet. She skips a stone across the water, huddling herself up to protect herself from the wind. "Convenient. I go out for a couple minutes and it gets all windy."
Noe
Noe seemed to pout at Luards comment. She felt like she was being treated like a kid by both him and Dan. B-But mom and dad said that being honest with your feelings is the best policy. Besides, I can protect myself if anyone messes with me, nya~ Noe held her head high stubbornly, shaking off the discouraged look from before. Her personality was definitely more cat than human. Noe looked to Hilda, ears twitching. Was this a "chance"? her ears twitched, and she seemed to ponder for a moment... What was that line that she heard before that she was told works every single time? she suddenly remembered and pointed at Hilda, winking. I really like that outfit, nya. I bet you'd look better out of it! xoxo. No, dear readers, that was not an xoxo onto a post. She actually said "ex-oh" twice after that line.
As Luard examines Homura, he'd in fact not spot anything on her hand... He might take note of a ring on her right one, however, the same color as the soul gem of Hilda in fact. The girl groans as he calls them twins. "No, she's... From another world of some kind. I'd never meet that girl before just recently in fact. She's me, yet not myself. That's my best guess anyway." She'd then look at the woman skipping a stone, despite the cold winds Homura herself is mostly unbothered by them. Only pulling her shirt up a tiny bit as she looks at the coated woman. "Indeed, lovely weather wouldn't you say? I hadn't expected this much wind today..." Upon overhearing Noe's words, the girl would turn bright red despite them not being directed anywhere near her... Dear god that pickup line, so cheesy, so horrible... She'll have to try it sometime just to see how bad it goes.
Hilda blushes heavily in embarrassment. She did not know what to do, as she was not comfortable with others feeling attracted towards her. She quickly holds her head down im shame as looks for a street ally to run into, tears streaming down her cheek.
Noe
..... Noe just gave a mile long stare, her position not moving with a shocked expression. W-Was it really that bad!?!? Noe could only stay perfectly still in pure embarrassment.

Luard's own cloak begins to blow about in the wind, giving a glance of a silver flash before the man thinks to hold it closed. Luard returns Masamune's gaze, his eyes are brighter than before, showing some vague interest I know little about the laws of this realm as I have been far too busy with my own research, it never seemed like a priority. Perhaps I shall keep this in mind in the future. That said, Luard would shake his head and glance aside at Noe, definitely an average person, based on their previous interactions, likely headstrong as well Fear primarily is one important not to show. The most common example of this is bullying among schoolchildren, one shows signs of weakness which prompts the others to relentlessly mock them knowing they're unlikely to act. Even if you can handle yourself, it is undoubtedly an annoyance worth avoiding Finally, Luard turns his attention back to Homura, there are some manner of dimensional distortions occuring, perhaps its another symptom. Worth keeping in mind, yet for now he says no more, nothing of interest to Luard
"Lovely isn't the word I'd use. But to each their own." She lazily glances over to the shorter girl, her eyes half open as she huddled her knees against her chest. She finally pulls a hand out of her coat and extends it towards the Homura. "Mori. Nice to meet you."
Homura grins over at the woman and giggles a bit, taking her hand for a moment. "Homura Akemi, and likewise... Oh and no, the weather isn't lovely. It was a joke." Hmm, something about this woman strikes Homura as... Odd? Not in a bad way, just there's a sense of energy flowing around her and the girl can't quite figure it out. "So I'm curious, how long have you been around this city anyway? I've been here... Not that long, a bit less than a year I guess."
"Must've flown over my head..." Yamiko sighs a little, still holding eye contact with Homura. Despite her fairly mellow demeanor there was something almost intimidating about the way her expression was, like she was sizing someone up. "Not long. My work has brought me here. On top of that I've been able to wander the city at my leisure." Her voice sounded weary, as if it were an inconvenience to speak, but she didn't seem too bothered by conversation herself.
Homura can tell that there's something most might find a bit scary to this one, but she's not really the sort so spook easily anymore... She'd just smile right on at Mori and utterly shrug it off. "Work huh, what kinda stuff do you do Mori-san? I'm kinda curious about it actually... You seem sorta mysterious! Almost like someone who deals in magic stuff or something." Magic, not so uncommon around there parts and professionally speaking Homura's rather intent on knowing who has a hand in such things. Cafe aside, she's still a Magical Girl after all so there's no getting around a need to figure things out. If anything, Mori might feel that same sense of being sized up as Homura tilts her head, despite the cute gesture and small stature, there's something more to the way she looks at the older woman.
Yamiko raised a brow once more tilting her head and mumbling to herself too quietly to be heard. Something was definitely off about this girl, but she couldn't piece together what. Nothing dangerous, or so it didn't seem. "Magic? Well, some might call it that. I wouldn't reveal my tricks so easily. But maybe I'll let you in on a secret someday. Who knows."
Hmm... Some might call it that eh? Well Homura isn't one to care about hiding her tricks, a black card takes shape in the girl's hand. An image of a woman dressed in a black dress with a blue overcoat taking shape on the front, where her head should be is simply a vast engulfing shadow with a pair of purple gemstone eyes shining out. Finally in the center of her chest rests a broken clock, stopped on the hour of 12. "Is it something like this perhaps? A Persona... The reflections in one's soul brought forth to face their foes, such a strange power but around here it seems like it's all too common." The card vanishes as Homura smirks at Mori, she can't help showing at least a bit... Besides, if it's not a Persona then that's something worth learning.
"Well you're not far off but I don't think I've ever seen it in that shape..." Yamiko opens up her coat, pulling out a silver pistol with a blue handle, giving it a light twirl as if to show it off. Just as quickly as she pulled it out however, it was gone, back into the pockets of her longcoat. "I'm sure you can figure out the rest."
Homura's card vanishes into thin-air, the girl tilting her head as she looks at the twirling gun before her... As the woman puts it away, she'd blink. "Huh. I'd assume that gun is used to summon them? But I've never seen such a device... Mostly seems to be cards like me, though the usual ones are blue rather than black." She'd raise a hand to her chin, hmming for a moment as she stops to consider what else she's seen. "A few just kinda summon em without fanfare too, and I think I've seen these weird masks that people pull off... I guess a gun isn't so absurd, but I'll see you around later. I've gotta get back to my place now!" With that Homura would depart, grinning to herself as she wanders off to her home once again... Really she was out here quite a while, but that's fine now and then. Either way, she'd hum a bit as she thinks back to the strange little group of people she's met. Luard with his black coat and odd magic runes, that Witch again... Noe who grabbed onto her without thinking, now there's someone she's curious about. Mori, someone she can't help but wonder about. And then there's Dan Masamune, who gives her an odd sense of being up to something, but she can't quite prove it so for now all there is to do is keep an eye out. With that, she's long gone from sight by now.
