Tokyo Fire Department: The Masked Firefighter!
A man in a suit sits at a desk, flipping through various files with a bored look on his face... After a moment, he'd flip it closed and grin to himself while pumping a fist in the air. "Wooo! I'm finally done with all the freaking paperwork. Geez, who knew being a Kamen Rider would involve this much busy work?" Mizui shrugs, walking out the doors of his office and moving through the halls. He'd pass by various co-workers, smiling and greeting them, finally after going a ways he'd reach the lobby of the building and take a seat on a bench. Said lobby is well lit, clean, and staffed by various workers, along with having a very "High Tech" sort of look, clearly the government is putting top of the line tech here. As for Mizui, he'd place a hand on his chin and begin muttering to himself. "Now... What to do next anyway? Not any fires to deal with as far as I know, but eh who knows when those... Things, will strike. Of course, I also have the Faker to worry with. Burning places down, summoning up those things only to fight them. What's that guy's game?" He shrugs his shoulders, no sensing worrying over it to much right now. After all, he can question "Match" plenty when he's behind bars and lacking a suit. For now, he'd just sit on the bench and look towards the door, he's got a feeling some interesting people may show up today! “Whelp, hope my gut is right on this one! It’d be a shame if I just sit around doing nothing after all… Oh well, could always go bug the lab if I get too bored. Those guys clearly need more fun in their lives!”
On the top of a nearby file cabinet, a small crumpled up piece of paper suddenly bursts into flames! The flaming ball then falls off the cabinet onto a small pile of unimportant papers. Well, hopefully they're unimportant. "Oh, my, looks like there's a bit of a fire going on inside the Fire Department. Is that ironic, or just plain silly? Probably neither, but I can't seem to help myself from laughing either way." Hades chuckles to himself before his presence fades.
H2O
The man would reach for a briefcase he'd placed on the bench next to him... Starting to open it, an annoyed look on his face appears as he glares at the fire. Only for a woman nearby to simply grab a fire extingusher and quickly smother the flames with it. Mizui: "Oh right, other people can put things out too. I sometimes forget that! Heh, be kind of a waste to use that for this wouldn't it?" The woman just sighs, she can't deny that he's nice enough, and good at his job. But dear god the man rushes in, using H2O just for that? She can't fathom it. "Slight overkill yes, though one does wonder who or what caused such a thing..." Mizui would wave the woman farewell and begin looking around, to be exact he's carrying the briefcase in his hands and searching the area where the fire had started. Aiming to find any clues as to what exactly may have caused such a thing.
Above the singed top of the file cabinet, a large blob of orange liquid seemed to be clinging to the ceiling. After it's taken notice of, it would slowly begin to stretch downwards, before developing beady eyes and a mouth. It opens its mouth, beginning to make steam-like hissing noises, before lunging at Mizui! If it landed on him, it would try to stick to him, and he'd feel a burning sensation as if he'd had the affected part close to the campfire for too long. The longer it was on him, the more and more intense it got, until it was literally melting his skin.
...Intruder... Out of the shadows of the office, a young looking white haired vampire appeared from the office, her sharp claws showing. How long was she there? was she even here before? regardless, she reacted in defense of Mizui by rushing in to slash the blob, in what would perhaps be the first of many attacks in a fury assault.
A young, blonde girl walks up to the building's front doors, which, much to the girl's surprise, open automatically when she approaches. Strange, most doors didn't do that. After shaking her head, the girl takes a deep breath, eyes closed, and enters the building. "E.. Excuse me. I heard a M..." opening her eyes, again, the girl finds Sayaka, Mizui, and a strange creature all rather close together, though she might not be sure of the exact context of their encounter. The girl tilts her head "I... I'm sorry, is this a bad time?"
H2O
The man is in fact hit by the orange blob, it would land on the upper half of his chest and cause him to gasp in pain. Despite that, however, there's a smirk on his face as he quickly opens the briefcase and places a dark blue belt with a black flask on the front around his waist. "Time to put out the fire, HENSHIN!" He pulls open the flask, a cork popping out of it as water begins to rush from it and onto Mizui. After the blob of would find itself quickly blasted backward by the water, part of it actually rushing off Mizui's chest and slamming his foe away. In fact, it'd likely make it a far easier target for the young girl. Finally, as the water clears he'd stand in a dark blue suit of armor with black trim around the edges, a sleek version of an old diver's helmet rests on his head and his chest plate has "H2O" inscribed on the front. "Rushing to the rescue, Kamen Rider H2O." He'd just shake his head a bit upon noticing the young girl appear, he wasn't expecting her to follow him to work or anything... Oh well, the help doesn't hurt, though the other workers seem to be staring at her stunned. H2O, on the other hand, is apparently not that odd here. "Be careful with that thing, my suit may be fire resistant but you are not." Finally, water rushes from his armor as he points his right hand toward the blob. A simple jet of water flying toward the thing as H2O aims to keep it centered upon his target, he'd move closer while firing as well, aiming to draw its attention to himself rather than the vampire.
As the blob recovers from its throw and notices the stream of water heading right towards it. It quickly taking in air before creating a hole through the middle of itself which causes the water to go right through it. As the vampire girl slashes at the blob, while it does manage to delete a small chunk of its gelatinous body, it also probably burns the heck outta her fingertips. The blob, noticing the innocent, unarmed girl away from the rest of the group, decides to target her next, spitting out a large fireball from its mouth at her feet. For the moment, it would simply pulse with a red flare. "Grrrrr..." A growling noise can now be heard from behind H2O. If he turns around, he notices a large beast with a heavily armored face and a skinny canine-like body. The beast would just stand there for a moment, staring down H2O.
H2O
The man looks toward Rasa for a moment. "It is a terrible time, but that is no fault of yours... I'd suggest getting away, but I'm not sure where these things are coming from, being too far from me might not be safe either. Just try to keep safe." H2O spreads his left hand, the water he had fired at the blob would rush up and spread out, aiming to slam itself into the thing by moving off the floor from it's "missed shot". As for his new guest, he'd slam his fist backwards with inhuman strength and speed. Of course, he can't be entirely sure he'll hit, but regardless of that he'd then aim to rush forward and turn around to face the new foe.
The vampire retreats after her slash, looking down at her burned fingers. Her claws and fingers were burned clean off and still smoked. Fire was the worst... She clicked her tongue and used what was left of her right hand to take out her knife. She certainly couldn't fight any other way at this point... She heard a familiar voice and lit up. It was Onee-chan... She wanted to be happy, but considering the circumstances... She became alarmed when the blob shot a fireball at her, and sped quickly in front of Onee-chan to shield her, extending her short arms. She was prepared to take the shot until it landed just in front of her. Don't hurt Onee-chan... Even if disadvantaged, she wanted to protect the girl that helped her.
"Eeeeek!!" The girl involuntarily lets out a little scream, reflexively closing her eyes and stepping back. Sayaka shields her from what little might have splashed onto the girl. After which she slowly opens them again... Here she had promised to protect the vampire, and... The girl briefly looks around, so as to not be surprised by another of the things. After her glance, she would take a deep breath and a few steps back "D.. Please don't worry about me too much. I.. I'll stay out of the way... M... My apologies." That's when the girl notices how badly Sayaka's hand is burned... Did Sayaka get that trying to protect her? If that's true...
Despite the force behind H2O's punch, the beast seems completely unfazed. It responds by headbutting him with heavy force, before scraping its right front leg across the ground like a bull, readying itself to charge directly at the knocked down H2O with its heavy head. Meanwhile, and blob squeals in pain as the water comes rushing back at it. However, it's not finished yet. It menacingly leaps towards the two girls before bursting into a large column of flame, sending small flares towards the duo. It begins to spin around, and looking at its doused back, it appears to have hardened.
[Burn! Burn! Burn!] [Light the Match!] In a burst of fire a man would jump through the window of the office and immediately roll onto the ground. He'd land between the girls and the blob in a roll taking the fire in their place. The fire would noticeably just rub off his suit as he got up and began pointing to himself. "Don't worry! This suit is completely fire-proof! More importantly, it would seem the building has a bit of a fire issue and this time I'm not the one to blame!" Match would face the now hardened blob with a stark confidence. "Looks like I'll be the one putting out the fire for once!"
"Watch out." Not wanting her friend to come to further harm, the blonde girl closes her eyes and tries to tackle Sayaka from behind and for the most part cover her from the approaching fire..... Only for the guy Mizui was fighting earlier to come out of nowhere and spare the need for such an effort anyways. After a few seconds, the girl would slowly open her eyes, surprised to find herself fine, only to glance up at the other guy "T... Thank you...."
H2O
The man is down, but sure as hell not out. Despite the ringing in his skull, his helmet would have absorbed the blow admirably. And perhaps it's time for a bit more stopping power against this one? [Flow Shift!] [Blazing Liquid!] [BOILING!] Vents appear on his armor, H2O heating up as the sound of bubbling water echoes through the room. As his foe charges, he'd place both hands in front of himself and begin sending two blasts of burning hot water out from them, the right simply charges ahead and aims to slow it down with brute force. A constant hose down that's meant to slow and pain his enemy. The left, however, aims lower, placing a puddle of water between them which wouldn't seem like much save for covering a great area. However, if his foe were to charge through it they'd quickly find two solid tentacles forming from the puddle and latching onto their feet. They'd aim to pull it down, even as H2O stands up and continues firing his jet. He'd spare Match a glance, feeling a tinge of anger... But he saved the kids, so this time he'll leave it be. In fact, perhaps he should try and speak with that one.
Sayaka was fully prepared to try her best to deflect the incoming flares with her blade, until she was tackled from behind. All her alarm bells went off as she attempted to rise again... The appearance of Match, however, mended the situation. Sayaka sat up and looked at the armored man in wonder... There were more of them...? But, more importantly... Onee-chan... Let me shield you... I'll be okay. I can get hurt a lot. You can't. Sayaka pushed herself up and once again stood in front of Onee-chan, still gripping her knife. She decided to stay back for now and let the Riders handle the blob for now. Fire was dangerous, and making sure she wasn't hurt was a priority.
Sayaka doesn't have much trouble pushing the normal girl off to get back to her feet, leaving Onee-chan to scratch the back of her head, sitting down and watching. The girl mutters something under her breath, but whatever it was supposed to be, its far too quiet for one to pick up on more than a whisper.
Sayaka seems to quickly realize what she did and looked back at Onee-chan look of regret in her eyes... She puts her knife away, approaches her and wordlessly gives her a tight hug. She was shaking a little; it seems like her emotion got the best of her.
Another day, another attempt for Rosie to gather information about the killer Akechi clone. Seeing as how the Water Rider she met a couple nights before at a campsite held a position at the fire department, she could ask him to reach out to his police contacts for intel. To avert suspicion, she had a somewhat bullshit alibi prepared about how she'll use the info in a report for one of her summer classes. After a thorough screening at the front entrance, Rosie walks into the station to find Mizui... suited up in his Rider armor, fighting a sentient lava orb with a fire-wielding Rider and those two girls from the camp: the young vampire and her amnesiac protector. "Well, this is a fine how-do-you-do," she mutters, tearing open a Snickers wrapper and taking a bite of the candy bar as she leans against a wall. "But there's no use in inserting myself into a situation where matters are obviously being handled by others; God knows how many times I've done it and ended up digging myself into a hole. I'll wait until shit calms down before talking to Mr. Water Rider about my target." But if things do get out of hand between these four and the lava ball, she'd be ready to blink the damn thing far away from this place and restore order.
Bumping the thread
honestlh not sure what happened, it’s kinda like everything just suddenly stopped? I’d rather not go much further until after Hades posts again. Which I guess will be tonight?
H2O
Perhaps, I'm not sure on his schedule honestly. I am pretty sure that he kinda passed out last night, or something like that. But I'll have to bug him for any idea when to start up again
SUP BINCHES Uh, we'll be continuing this at 10pm PST/1am EST which is when H2O is available again.
Uh sorry this is like a day late, let's hope we're all around The blob stops its attack and tilts its head as the new Rider seems to practically ignores his attack, shielding the two girls. It seems to think for a moment, before slowly backing away. It then sucks in air once again, this time continuing to do so until it had grown considerably. A burst of heat would then come from its center, and it would continue to expand, now glowing a bright orange along with small flames flickering out from small holes forming and resealing on its body. Meanwhile, as the beast charged, it would easily shrug off the water shot at its face, but the trap set for its legs would cause its heavy head to slam straight to the ground as its bound front legs kept it from progressing. It lets out an angered growl, pulling with all its might against its bindings.
H2O
The man grins as his cheap trick takes hold, that binding won't last forever... With how strong it is he can't except more than a few seconds in fact. So he'll aim to do some serious pain and do it quickly! "Alright, I think you need to learn that trying to attack a Rider in his own home base isn't a safe plan at all. Now's the time for something a bit more potent!" Even as he speaks H2O surges forward, keeping the binds in place for a bit as he molds water into a solid shape near himself. After a bit, he'd have a large hammer in his hands a smirk under his mask, grabbing it with both hands and slamming the boiling hot weapon down onto his foe's skull, after he's done the binds would finally break. But, assuming it made a crack in his foe, the water of the hammer would go liquid once more and aim to get inside of the monster, bits of steam forming as it boils itself away even now.
Onee-chan perks up a little, surprised by the sudden change, she can't help but blush. At first she looks down, over Sayaka's back silently for a moment, great, now she needs t me held like a kid. That is, until she notices the other girl shiverin. After a few more silent seconds, Onee-chan speaks up again ".... I'm sorry. I... I'll stay ut of the way. I just... We're supposed to protect each other, right?"
Match would stand in a combat-ready position as he prepared to fight the strange blob. He would speak confidently addressing the girls behind him. "I just happened to be passing by. I'm no rider but I at least have to make sure my predecessor's replacement does his job right. It would bring shame to Match's name if his disciple can't even protect two girls. Luckily, fire is my specialty, this'll be over before I can even reach max heat!" Match would take a small capsule with what seemed to be metal inside and place it inside the hatch on his belt. He'd close the hatch and turn a knob on the side up as glowing red metal seemed to begin surrounding his body. [Heat up!] [Molten Metal! Forge!] The glowing metal solidified around his body as his armor took on a new form. In his hands, he'd be carrying a large heated metal hammer. He'd approach the blob in a sprint and quickly slam down the hammer but he wouldn't be striking at the blob but rather directly in front of it. The metal from the hammer would seem to spread onto the ground as it made an impact with the floor causing a metal spike to rise up from directly beneath where the blob stood.
Sayaka nodded and gently pulled away before nodding at Onee-chan. Yes... We will protect each other... If you can't fight, then I have to protect you when something wants to hurt you like that thing... I can't let it. If anyone hurts Onee-chan, I'll kill it with my bare hands if I can. Her words are menacing, but she was clearly protective of the girl. There was a passion in her eyes that wasn't there before. She turns to the firelike blob that had been binded and narrows her vampiric eyes. Getting close is dangerous, but if she could maybe fight from a distance... She picks up her knife again, some of her fingers have regenerated by this point. Her eyes dilate as she tries to work out where the exact lifeline of the blob would be as some blood from her somewhat dismembered fingers makes it glow a crimson red. Blood magic, perhaps? it seemed to make it more potent than before. She grips her knife tightly and in a well placed swing, the knife flies blade first at the blob, aiming for its core.
The head of the beast slams into the ground after trying to pick itself back up, creating large cracks in the floor of the building. However, the skull of it remains completely unharmed. The most the attack did was scramble its brain a little. As it breaks free of the shackles, the beast shakes its head, seeing where it is before once again charging towards H2O, although it seems the hit from early managed to dizzy it a bit. If he manages to dodge the shaky attack, the beast would crash into a nearby cubicle, facing away from H2O. As Match's hammer drops, the blob lets out a screech when its body is pierced by the metal spike, it's not enough to halt its growth. Luckily, the knife from Sayaka manages to easily find its target, hitting the small green core in the center of the blob. Its screech cuts off as the eyes and face seem to melt into the goo, before it simply spreads onto the floor then disappears.
Match would lift the hammer behind his own head before resting it on his shoulder. He would turn back to Sayaka with a thumbs up. "Nice job! Over before I even reached my max temperature, just like I said!" He would turn to where H20 was fighting before shouting to him. "Hey, replacement, you need help there or are you going to prove that you deserve the name, Kamen Rider?"
H2O
"Help from you? No, I am quite fine... In fact, I believe it is time to boil this down to basics don't you?" The man rushes backward, moving as a blur and easily evading his foe's poorly aimed strike with a smirk on his face. "I'll douse you for good here and now!" [Flash Flood Warning!] Water rushes from the man's armor, all around him and far more quickly than it has up to now. After a massive amount of water takes its place behind him, it'd quickly begin a series of attacks. A large tendril forms at the front, rushing down from above and aiming to pull his foe upwards by the large skull, another would do the same behind aiming to grab onto the hind legs. These, however, have far greater toughness than the binds it had been trapped by earlier. [Final Drowning!] The remaining water rushes down, going below his foe and heating up, even more, finally it would form into a series of 4 large burning hot blades that fly upward and aim to cut into the beast's exposed skin. Bypassing the tough armor entirely by holding the thing in place. That said and done, H2O's binds would fall apart along with the blades as most of his water returns to the armor. "I believe this one is done for, unless it is far tougher than the other beast was."
The beast roars in pain as the blades slice it apart by the limbs, leaving its armored head and feet to dangle from their water bindings. The remaining parts of the beast turn dark before exploding into a burst of black and purple mist. It seems the fight has been one, but a faint chuckling can be heard in everyone's head before fading away...
H2O
The man turns toward Match, for a moment his armor would begin to ripple and flow back into the flask on his belt... Only for the man to shake his head, better to keep calm here. He'd speak in a quiet tone, walking a bit closer to the other Rider with a curious voice. "Match... What's your game here?" He sighs and rubs at his forehead, looking around now and then to check for anyone else. Hmm, seems they're still too scared to come out. Expecting him to clean up the mess no doubt, which he's done... But no need to shout the all clear yet. "I thought you were just another arsonist, but instead here you came to save those girls and help? It doesn't add up for someone who's MO is burning down random buildings for no reason now does it. I'm starting to think that maybe just maybe, there's a bit more to you than meets the eye? Or hey, perhaps some random arsonist just decided to help a pair of innocent kids for no reason. I guess anything is possible." Of course, he'd not the laughter in his mind as well... But for now, there's nothing to be done there, whereas Match he can look into at this moment.
The metal coating to his armor would begin to crack before breaking off and disappearing in a burst of sparks. The hammer similarly would be dissolved through this process leaving Match in his usual red and wooden suit. He would look towards H20 briefly almost in a cocky and overconfident manner as he pushed a button on his belt giving him a capsule that seemed to contain highly compressed water. "I already gave my reasoning, right? If you're going to take Match's place then you need to be a true Kamen Rider. After what I just witnessed it's clear you're not strong enough to be his successor. While you were playing with that monster those two girls were nearly burned to a crisp. You're lucky I got here when I did otherwise that one you took it might have ended up worse. Her hands are all burnt up already... Anyway, I'm not gonna lecture you anymore. I'm not a Kamen Rider myself but still, this world needs more good riders. So, if you're going to call yourself one you better be sure you can live up to the name." Match would hold the water-filled capsule before setting it on fire. It would only take a moment for it to burst into a vent of steam that would fill the office. In the moment of confusion, Match would jump back out through the window to make his escape.
H2O
Tch, so he says he's given his reasoning... As for the girls. "Don't assume you know everything I'm capable of Faker. At any rate, if you aren't explaining yourself to me I see no reason to return the favor." He'd listen to the lecture, simply taking in the rest of the man's little speech and... Shrugging, a calm and collected voice speaking as he stares the other Rider down. "As for the girls, quite frankly I about to step in there regardless of my own safety, then you showed up. My life is a secondary concern compared to those of others, of course I'm sure you knew that didn't you? Giving out lectures on being a Rider... You must understand, that to call yourself that means being willing to die for one's idea of Justice if they must." Not that he thinks his plan would have gotten him killed, but he isn't going to let some arsonist blab about being a Kamen Rider without firing a few shots at the guy. Of course, before H2O can say any more the other man has simply vanished into a burst of steam. He'd sigh as the armor vanishes, the mystical calm of his power vanishing and his eyes burning with rage, though oddly not at Match for now. "NOW WHO THE HELL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ANYWAYS!? I'LL PUT A STOP TO THESE MONSTERS YA HEAR ME!" Mizui takes a deep breath and sighs, no leads on this "Mook Maker". Ash Fragments, a fake Match, and who knows what else. Tokyo is madness lately, and he's barely making any progress on any of it! Oh well, a Rider's work is never done! And after shouting out on the building's speakers that things are clear the firefighter would quickly begin sorting out the damages and getting things back in order.
“Thank God that ordeal’s over,” says Rosie, rolling her eyes and approaching Mizui as Match leaves the building. “Rosie DiMaria, third-year biology student at Nexus Community College on a transfer agreement from the University of Pennsylvania. I believe we met at the hilltop camp a while ago with Sakaya-chan and her companion.” She nods at the two girls before continuing, pushing up her glasses as she speaks. “I wanna ask you a few questions, Namiko-san. Do you have some time?”
Onee-Chan watches the resolution, looking down while Sayaka’s back is turned, the girl mutters “but how am I supposed to help you?” Sayaka would have been able to protect themselves better if she hadn’t had to protect Onee-chan. If it weren’t for the fire guy she probably would have. And of course, that other girl, Rosie keeps describing her as “Sayaka’s companion. Not that she can blame them, being unable to remember her own name, what else to call her. For now, the girl sighs, stands back up, and bows. “S... Sorry for all the trouble. I.. Had just wanted to thank you for earlier... I promise not to get in the way anymore”
Sayaka tilts her head at Match before very awkwardly giving a thumbs up with no energy behind it. She still had a long way to go. Upon noticing Rosie appear, Sayaka glares with hostility. She wanted to attack her... but that would probably get her beat up by Mizui again. With that, Sayaka returns to Onee-chans side and hugs her tightly. She has a bit of a sad smile. It's okay... You saved me, so, now I saved you too. Our contract is complete...
"Hey now," says Rosie to Sayaka while waiting for Mizui to respond. "Just because you fulfilled this 'contract' doesn't mean you have to part ways if you don't want to." Rosie too notices the burns on Sayaka's hands from that monster. Again, there's no reason to summon her Persona to deal with the injuries after all that chaos. "I still keep in contact with some of my old teachers and friends," she says. "I haven't seen them in years, of course, but they all seem to be doing well." She pulls out a small tube of Vaseline-based ointment she had synthesized in her biochemistry lab using a variety of natural and synthetic ingredients, but this particular sample had been infused with the essence of her Persona's healing magic when her professors and classmates weren't looking. "Here, rub this all over your hands for me. It'll sting for a little bit, but you'll feel much better when you start to feel the ointment get chilly and smell like peppermint, okay?" While Sayaka applies the ointment, Rosie searches her purse for a gauze to ensure that the ointment doesn't transfer from Sayaka's hands until it absorbs entirely, then gently but firmly bandages the little vampire's hands. This girl may have self-healing abilities, but Rosie was in no mood to cut herself on a sheet of paper and offer up her blood in order to speed the process along.
Onee-Chan shakes her head, patting Sayaka’s with a smile “You never owed me. I couldn’t have beared just standing around and watching.” Onee-chan’s voice is even and reassuring, almost motherly in some ways. Though there’s a bit of a sniffle towards the end, she dies her best not to let anything show “If you just felt bad about that you shouldn’t have done anything in the first place.”
Sayaka stared menacingly into Rosie's eyes, very cautiously taking the lotion from her, never dropping her guard as she awkwardly applies it. She allows her hands to be bandaged for now, atleast until her fingers regenerate. She then backs away, looking away. I didn't need your help, human... I can take care of myself... She was still cold. Atleast, towards people not Onee-chan. Whom she looks at again with an awkward expression. But... I couldn't let that thing hurt you, either... Sayaka looks up into her eyes. Her expression was the same as always, but her red eyes seemed warmer, more humanlike. You are precious to me... Onee-chan showed me kindness no one else did despite being a human... I do not wish to be apart from you, even though our contract is complete...
Onee-chan giggles at Sayaka’s little display of defiance, even to someone trying to help and calmly shakes her head “people really aren’t that bad, if you give them a chance. Do you think you can do that for me? At least for a little bit.”
Rosie knows that Rasa won't be there for Sayaka forever, but decides it's best not to say anything. One of these days, the little vampire will learn to open her heart to others. She takes another bite out of her Snickers bar and turns back toward Mizui. "No doubt you've heard about the homicide of Pancake Knight about a month ago," she says. "I've been tasked to write a report about a recent case for one of my general studies courses this summer, but I've only heard rumors about the circumstances behind his death. Rumors such as 'his soul only has 90 days left in this world' and 'a Goro Akechi clone killed him with fire magic and a skill that inflicts despair.' Do you know anything about that?"
Sayaka's was caught off guard by Onee-chans sudden suggestion. She tilts her head childishly. ...I don't know how to respond to such kindness... Onee-chan saved me, but... That was different. You're special. ...I've only seen humans as food since my turning. They usually fear me. Other humans like to hunt me... They are not so easy to trust... But, if Onee-chan says so, then... Sayaka looked down at her feet, almost as if she were pouting. She didn't seem to resist, however.
H2O
Well I just woke up, shocked to see more posts here. Homicide!? What the hell is with this place? "Uh no, I don't even know who either this Knight guy or Goro Akechi are! And I'm a firefighter, not a cop! Dealing with the Fake Match is one thing, but I shouldn't be investigating murders. Maybe ask a detective? Like Kamen Rider Double!" Well, rumor has it W is around this place but he's yet to see them. He'd then turn toward Sayaka, a curious look on his face as he watches the girl. "Oi Sayaka, what were you thinking running out here!? I assume you were trying to help, but uh leave it up to me if something like that happens again will ya? You could have been hurt a lot worse than that... Or worse." There's concern in Mizui's voice, one might tell that the vampie had in fact worried him quite a bit. He'd walk closer to the girl, aiming to look at what damage she's suffered...
OOC: I was thinking of having Rosie whistle “Put On a Happy Face” from Bye Bye Birdie during the fight for comedic effect and let the rest of you play off of that (i.e. Hades letting the monster attack Rosie, causing her to bring out her Persona), but I decided against it, opting for her to snack on chocolate in the background.
"Hmph, late to the party it seems..." A man in a black overcoat and a burgundy turtleneck strolls into the office, an old flywheel camera strapped around his neck. He claps his hands together as if removing dust. "Couldn't hurt to scope H2O's sect of this world out though... Perhaps follow up by visiting GYM, ruining a door sounds fun just about now..." Of course, when Tsukasa hear's mention of Riders, his eyes fall on the man behind the desk, well, the man now standing before the girl. He huffs a little, almost in a mocking laugh. He's the one, huh? Not much of a Rider, that's for certain.

Mizui would look towards the man in the coat. Huh, there's something off about that guy beyond his timing. Could he be...? No probably not. "Ah hello, and uh welcome to Tokyo fire department! Sorry about all the mess in here now. Had a uh... Monster attack honestly, not sure who sent them but that's a thing now." What's that laugh for huh? Oh well, no use getting all worked up over some random guy! Instead he'd simply smile over at the newcomer. "Anyway, I'm Miuzi Namiko and it's nice to meet ya! Although I'm curious, is something funny happening around here?"
Onee-Chan gently reaches out to bring Sayaka’s chin up and look into the girl’s red eyes with her own blue ones. “well of course they’re scared of you. They don’t know you. And things you don’t know are scary, aren’t they?” Onee-Chan would let go of Sayaka, crossing her hands and smiling “but when they get to know you they’re not so scared are they? Just take the fireman. Sure you fought at first, but he was still willing to help out when you took the time to understand each other. I like to think everyone’s like that.”
The man in the coat places his hands in his pockets, whistling as though impressed as he looks around the office. "All this for a fire department? You'd have to forgive me if I DIDN'T find it funny." Tsukasa chuckles audibly. "... and I'd hold off on the pleasantries. Monsters, in my experience, seldom ever stay gone for long. After all, you never know when some big boogyman might hop out from under your desk."
H2O
Funny... That's fair enough! "Heh, I guess we are pretty high tech and all. I can see why you'd find it a bit amusing! Of course I'm not quite sure why we're so big either honestly, blame the higher-ups!" The man's next statement would draw a grimace from Mizui, this guy isn't entirely wrong. But he's not gonna live in paranoia and fear! "You should always be ready to act, but I'm not about to let some fear of unseen boogymen make my choices for me! If something happens it happens, and I'll deal with it! If not, all the better!"
Sayaka is surprised as Onee-chan cups her chin and looks in her eyes. She blushes, looking rather bashful; much more warm than her typical kuudere expression. She didn't say anything in this period, like she was frozen. She seems to regain her composure after being released, though. She shakes her head and returns to normal. ...Maybe you're right... After all, Onee-chan is nice, and Mizui-san, and that touchy lady... Um... It's almost like the way things were before... It won't last, but... It's nice. Sayaka nods, as if reaffirming something to herself. She turned and looked up at Mizui with... a largely unapologetic expression. You were under attack, and I am a guest in your home... It seemed like free blood, so I attacked it... If only it hasn't been an apostle. ...I'll kill that human if he returns, too. Sayaka is more cooperative with Mizui, surprisingly. It seemed she took her Onee-chans words to heart. She allows him to see her fingers which were bandaged by Rosie. It seemed they were already regenerating, but at a slow pace. She didn't seem to have wounds anywhere else.
“I know,” replies Rosie. She had expected this sort of reaction from someone outside of the loop, but how could someone NOT know who PK was? When he was alive, he was practically a celebrity on the Phansite. “Rather, I was just wondering if you had contacts in law enforcement that do know about the case. I tried to get some information from a firsthand witness who reportedly found the body, but he was, er… incapacitated from a sparring match at the GYM.” She leans into Mizui and lowers her voice so that the others couldn’t hear. “I’ll let you in on something,” she says. “One of the reasons why I went to that campsite was to let off steam from my research. Of course, I happened to have met you and the girls, and that’s how I found out you worked here. But if my time in the Nexus has taught me one thing, it’s that people with powers like yourself have some sense of justice no matter what side you’re on. With the justice you try to uphold as both a first responder and a Rider, that’s all I need to ensure that the truth is known.” She backs away and adjusts her glasses again. “With that in mind, you think you can point me in the right direction with someone’s contact information? I got until mid-May to complete this report, and I don’t wanna waste a single second. And once I get out for the summer semester, I can tell you what I DO know about that arsonist you’ve been chasing. Sound fair?”
Tsukasa's otherwise blank stare becomes mildly blanker. "Hmph, when those boogymen get more and more scary and more and more common, that train of thought'll get you nowhere. Eh, that's enough of a lecture, I have some other place I need to be." Without even so much as a goodbye, Tsukasa begins to head toward the door. He never makes it, as an ethereal wall collides with him, causing him to vanish.
Onee-chan smiles, only to be startled when she finally notices Mizui and the other man around. The young girl chuckles and scratches her y back of her head”sorry, I guess I kinda got caught up in the moment. A... Anyways. She was going to start introducing herself, then it occurred to the girl that she doesn’t know who to introduce herself as. In the awkward seconds it takes her to realize this, the girl bows to Mizui “I came here to thank you for helping us out earlier. I dunno what I would have done if you didn’t find me a home.”
OOC: Just gonna put Rosie’s next aside here bc some bug on the Phansite won’t let me edit it in. I’ll write her next bit of dialogue in and comment. This was another platter of bullshit Rosie had concocted on the fly, but it was better than walking out of the station empty-handed. Fighting Shadows has taught her to always have some sort of ace up her sleeve, and she prays that this particular ace will lead to her goal of eviscerating Akechi.
Another comment*
A Letter A descends from the heavens through the roof and drops A mic on Rosie. I am A. A is all. You are presented with A problem. But are you cApable of unveiling the truth? Goro Akechi cannot be trialed properly because he has access to the seven chains of heaven. To combat them, you must find the seven chaos emerAlds scattered through out Asia. It will not be easy. Seek the seven chaos and return to the alter of the Great Beast. We will meet again. A have spoken. The Letter A rises back to the heavens from which it came.

The right direction? What the hell does this lady think Mizui is anyways? The man would shrug, responding in a quiet tone. "I'd help you out if I could... But honestly I don't know anyone who'd be looking into something like that. Just not my area ya know?" And people with powers like his... He'd smirk a bit upon hearing that. "And don't go assuming everyone who's got a suit like mine is a decent human being. Speaking as a fan of all things Kamen Rider, I can tell you there's been a few who were just plain old villians." As for Match... "I'd appreciate any help, but I think I know as much as anyone else on the Faker. The Match armor was stolen a few months ago, following the death of the original Kamen Rider Match at the hands of... A classified foe. Said armor went off the grid for a while, before turning up and being used in arsons that have caused great damage to unused buildings, yet no one has been hurt so far. Unless you have a name?" He'd then wave at... Who was that stranger, and why did he set off Mizui's danger sense? Just a gut feeling, but that one seems like a person to watch. He'd then look back at Sayaka and Rasa, a sigh coming out of his mouth as he looks down at the vampire. "Geez, the thing was made of lava or something ya know. It didn't exactly look full of blood did it? As for being owing me... Don't worry over it! I helped cause it was the right thing to do, no need to pay for me back. Same goes for you... Uh, did you ever settle on a name?" Memory loss is a big deal he'd imagine, but any musing on the girl's past is cut short by Sayaka's mention of killing someone. "Sayaka, if by that human you mean Match then please don't try to kill him. First off I don't want him dead, just arrested. More importantly? He'd burn you to a crisp if he tried, and that's something I can't let happen..."
Then, our contract is complete as well... However... I wish to remain close to Onee-chan. Sayaka shakes her head upon hearing Matches name. Killing him myself would be too difficult... Fire is not something I can face easily... She looks down at her bandaged fingers. They should regenerate fully in few minutes. I mean... That voice that brought the fire apostle. He didn't show his face, but his voice and presence was real... If he has that much power, then he must powerful blood... Perhaps enough to bring me closer to being a True Vampire. Sayaka seemed quite serious about this. No hesitation.
The young girl shakes her head, truth is she didn't worry about a name too much outside of times like this, for now she'd close her eyes and lean her head on her right hand "Nothing's really come to me I'm afraid. All I've really used is the name Sayaka gave me." Though, now that the other girl has brought it up, this is the second or third time she's mentioned a "True Vampire", so Onee-chan turns to Sayaka "What do you mean about being a true vampire anyways? I thought you were a real one."
H2O
Eh!? Somehow he doubts that she can kill whoever did that... Heck, they might not even be a person at all. "Be careful with that okay? I don't know exactly what did that, but something tells me it wasn't a human being... That kind of power strikes me as something some demon might pull honestly. Maybe it's just a wizard? Who knows, but they're clearly not something you should fight by yourself!" He'd look at the girl with a grin on his face. Voice sounding fairly cheerful, all things considered. "Just remember Saya, I'll put out the fire every time! And that means I'll help you out too, so keep it in mind! But for now... I have more paperwork to file, the horror!" With that, Mizui wanders off back to his office, he's gotten the damages clean enough... To go file a frigging report. At this point, it's been maybe a day and a half since he slept? Oh well, a Rider's work is never done!
I am a real vampire, but... These are different. In some vampire circles, there are legends of the True Vampire. They're said to be the originators of us... A cursed creation, of human and of demon. True Vampires have unprecedented powers, can walk in the sunlight, control armies of familiars without dying, and can even destroy civilization if they wanted... I... I want to be like that. If I became a True Vampire, then I could open the gates to a new age. Where vampires never have to live in the shadows again, where we can be free. And, if I did, I could make sure no one ever hurt you again, Onee-chan. You would be by my side. Sayaka took Onee-chans hand in determination and squeezed it softly. She seemed quite serious about this goal... She nodded to Mizui, smiling gently as he left. It was almost like she had a dad again... Hopefully she wouldn't kill this one, she thought.
Onee-chan sighs and squeezes Sayaka's hand back, even if all this true vampire stuff turns out to be fake she has the feeling Sayaka would try anyways. The young girl gives Sayaka a calm smile "Just don't do anything reckless, ok? I'd hate to see you get hurt again. Now come on, we should probable head home." Onee-chan would squeeze the other girl's hand and move towards the front of the building, ready to return home for a while
Sayaka smiled and followed Onee-chan, holding her hand firmly and affectionately. I'll be careful... I've survived this long, after all. Let's go home, Onee-chan. I want a rare steak for dinner...
"'Someone in a suit?' Hoo boy, this man has no idea," Rosie thinks. "Time to pull out my Queen of Spades." She rolls up her sleeves to reveal a pair of flint and steel bangles as soon as the girls leave; she does not want to give them an even further scare. "True, but in my experience, sometimes a fancy suit isn't necessary," she says. "Come forth... Persona!" She strikes the bangles together, causing the sparks to fall to her feet and engulf her in a blue, flame-like aura. From the false embers comes a masked woman with red hair, a leather bodysuit, and a slotted butterfly mask. The phantasmal woman floats next to Mizui and gently takes his hand as to restrict him from suiting up once more. "Don't worry, the flames aren't real," she calmly explains. "In fact, they're often times for show. But I should explain. I'm also a Persona-user, and this is my partner Natalia. There's a good chance you've seen people like that around the Nexus. Power comes in all forms, and we both know that anything is possible in the Nexus. After all, a cute vampire like Sayaka-chan can coexist in the same realm with the likes of Naoto Shirogane and the Kool-Aid Man." OOC: Kool-Aid Man if you're reading this, I kindly ask you to BUTT OUT for heaven's sake.
Broccoli drops down on Rosie's head. Handholding is lewd and not allowed, nyu.
OOC: You're taking it out of context, dude. Natalia's restraining Mizui like that to keep him from attacking Rosie out of impulse.
Please don't assume my gender, nyu.
I'm not assuming genders. I use the term "dude" regardless of gender. But if it bothers you that much, there's nothing I can do to fix it thanks to this editing bug on the site.
