A Sunny Spring Day
It was a normal, warm day out in Inokashira park, the flowers are starting to bloom leaving a pleasant scent lingering through the air, unfortunately the pollen accompanies them, bringing a faint itchiness to go with it. A path passes by the long pond the park is known for, trees planted alongside which provide a pleasant amount of shade. Along the side of the path a small stand has been set up with a sign reading "50 Yen Lemonade." Behind the counter sits a young, blonde girl, leaning forward in her seat as she watches a group of ducks swimming in the pond and waits
Noe
A short catgirl cartoonishly runs by the stand before putting on the breaks, noticing the "50 Yen Lemonade" sign. She runs back to the front of the stand and waves to the girl, despite being only a few feet away. Lemonade!? I haven't had lemonade since I was back home! gimme gimme! I have lotsa money from busting bad guys! The catgirl flashes 50 yen. The noisy neko has disturbed the peace of Inokashira in a spectacular way.
The blonde girl snaps out of her daze, giggling at the somewhat older girl "You sure seem excited, it'll be just a second." The girl reaches beneath the counter, pulling out a few cups which she goes ahead and leaves on the counter as she searches for a few more seconds. Sure enough she finds a pre-prepared pitcher of yellow liquid from a cooler beneath the counter and pours it into one of the cups before passing it over the counter "I take it you just moved here pretty recently then? I heard this sort of thing happens a lot when it gets warm out. At least, that's how I got the idea."
A cyan-haired boy walks up to the stand. He doesn't look like it, but he's thirsty from catching bugs. He places 50 yen on the table with his red, claw-like hand.
A young boy, seemingly in his late teens appears to be on a stroll. He's whistling a little tune as he walks, letting his gaze drift aroud the park. He stops as he eyes the quaint little stand. Lemonade, huh? Guess I can't deny it's hot out. He touches his bangs, feeling the slight dampness from his forehead sweating. He approaches the stand, reaching into his pocket and placing a small 50Â¥ coin on the countertop. One cup, please. So, what is this, just trying to scrounge up some spending money?
Noe
The catgirl wags her tail and watches intently as she waits. She gratefully accepts her cup with and gulps it down quickly, almost as if she hadn't drank anything in days. It was impressive in its own way? she puts the cup back down on the stand with a happy sigh. Nyaaaaaa~ that's nostalgic and refreshing! I'll give you extra cos that was extra yummy! She gives the girl 100 yen. The extra 50 being a tip, of course. Hmmm? I've always lived here, nya! W-well, not quite HERE, but a different here! a Tokyo that isn't this one, if that makes sense. This was a super idea though! I used to have lemonade sometimes back home! I heard the adults get all the good drinks though. She pouts, but seemed happy about... something. Noticing the new additions to the lemonade party, the catgirl bounces up once happily. And the party grows~!
its a little weird how quite the clawed boy is, but maybe they're mute, it would be kinda rude to bring it up, so while the pitcher is out the young girl pours a glass of lemonade and passes it to the boy "You seem like a quiet one huh? Wonder what brings you out here." She casts their arm a curious glance, but figures its probably just part of a costume, either that or something that'd be rude to bring up. As Lowe approaches the stand, they young girl cheerfully nods to him as she starts to pour him a cup "I thought I should find something to do to earn a bit while I'm out, and happened across one of these. It seemed like such a good idea at the time I thought I'd copy it. Plus if nothing else its nice to sit in the shade."The girl leans her head on one arm as she thinks for a moment "maybe I should get some extra chairs at some point, that might make it a bit more convenient." That said, the girl would hide the half-full pitcher back under the counter and use her arm to drag the money off to her side, hiding it in a small bag, that's 200 Yen so far, not bad overall "I'm glad you liked it, I can't remember making any before so its nice to know it wasn't so hard after all."
The boy nodded, taking his cup with a smile. He sipped it slowly, savouring the taste. Ah, can't say I've had lemonade in a while. It's relaxing, almost nostalgic. I can't even remember the last time, come to think of it.
Noe
Mm! It's great for your first time! I can't even make juice without making a mess, nyahaha~ I'm better at shooting things. The catgirl seemed proud of herself, though she probably sounded crazy just saying that without context. I think I'll actually take another one, nya! umm, I'm allowed to take the cup, right?
After a performance session as a Job,Trowa Barton walks by with a but slung on his back and walks along the lemonade stand looks at for a few seconds... "50 yen correct? Here." 50 Yen are put on the stand as the 15 year old teenager looks at the person selling the lemonade
The young girl giggles, nice to know other people have trouble remembering things too, even the small stuff "I guess not, it must seem like such a simple little thing, but I like to think those moments are by far the most important. The girl smiles as she brushes some hair out of her face before nodding to the catgirl "I don't see why not. Guess you like to hunt sometimes? Or at least those... Clay disc things... Whatever those things from a shooting range are called." The young girl, pauses for a moment, leaning her head on her hand as she tries to remember, only to be snapped out of her daze by the young man with the (I'm going to assume you meant bag, though but would be funny) "Oh, right, just a moment." The girl brings a few more small cups out from under the counter and fills those as well, passing one off to Noe and the other to Trowa before scraping his yen under the counter "You come around here often? Hear there are all sorts of curious types around."
"I am a performance Artist..... Nothing much special but I also attend The nearest school from here"
Lowe closes his eyes, seemingly letting the wind envelope him for a moment, just taking it all in. Yeah, you're right. Life here can move a thousand miles an hour sometimes, but appreciating when it slows down is just as important as whatever else you have to do. He places another coin on the stand, sliding it toward the girl with his index finger. I'll follow in the cat lady's footsteps, another round please.
Noe
Well, certain kinds of hunting, nya~ She smiles, her tail wagging. Back home I liked to hunt down troublemakers, look for treasure, and if a demon was going crazy I could fight them too! Any adventure, is a nice one, nya~ it seems this place is less messy though. Which is a problem since this is a more peaceful Tokyo... It seems like things are picking up a little though!
"Performance artist? You mean like one of those actors? Oh, or maybe you're one of those weird guys who strip down to become part of their painting. THAT'd be cool" The girl laughs at the idea before reaching under the counter again and pulling out another cup for Lowe "Sounds like you've been here a while huh? I only showed up recently, around a week ago, so I dunno the place very well." The girl talks as she pours, shaking her head as she spills a little before passing the cup to Lowe with a smile, after which she looks back over to Noe and sighs "I kinda hope you're wrong on that bit. Though, I guess if you're making a living off fighting and stuff I can't really complain. I'd simply rather it wasn't necessary." The girl briefly glances off to the side, wistfully watching the ducks before returning to her usual smile and saying a bit louder for all assembled. "Guess we've just got to make the best of what we've got right?"
"......Actors......Not the second one"
The girl giggles a little, waving one hand in the air almost as though trying to shoo Trowa, though nothing else suggests such "Obviously, I was just teasing you a little. No need to be so serious all the time."
He smiles gratefully, taking the cup with one hand. A while, yeah. Half a year or so, I wanna say. It's odd, my memories of before...he got his mitts on me and I ended up here are foggy. It's... strange not knowing what's the truth and what isn't. I've been living life on the fast track, fighting nonstop and all. Never stopped to worry about what I can't seem to recall. He sighs, taking another sip of the beverage. Still, it's nice that even with all that going on, I can still stop to walk that girl's mutt, or drink some lemonade in the park. He smiles, turning to the girl and extending his free hand. Come to think of it, my name's Lowe. It's nice to meet you.
Noe
Noe gave off a bit of a complicated expression as she stretched and sipped her lemonade. Hmm... Well... It's not like I LIKE bad things happening, but it's fun to kick some ass sometimes, nya! Being the heroine of the story who topples the oppressors who feed off the misery of the innocent! it's fun... Above all I just like having a good time. I always thought my parents were cool doing what they do, so I got into it too, even if they were kinda opposed to it. And... If nothing bad is happening, I could always just deliver packages or something. I'm quick on my feet, and fetch quests aren't that bad! ...Oh, sorry! I almost forgot to pay you, nyahaha~ She gives her lemonade selling friend another 100 yen, looking a little embarrassed by her own forgetfulness as she playfully sticks her tongue out.
Listening to Lowe, the girl actually seems to relax a little, its nice to know she's not the only one having memory problems, maybe its not so rare after all? When the other man asks her name, she smiles kinda nervously as she reaches out to accept the handshake "I uh... Don't actually know. A good friend of mine calls me Onee-chan, but some other people have given me weird looks whenever I say it and I don't know why. The girl shakes her head for a moment, letting go of Lowe's hand in the process A... Anyways, nice to meet you Lowe. The girl turns her attention back to Noe, tilting her head a bit as she does so "When you say it like that it almost sounds like a video game huh? I guess its always nice to be helping out, it just gets a bit worrying for me. Did your parents move here with you? Sounds like you had a nice thing going with them." The girl doesn't pay the money any attention, focusing on her customers of course, not like it'll be going anywhere soon
Noe
Noe nods happily, a fang sticking out of her mouth as her tail wags and she takes a big sip of her lemonade as she recalls some happy memories. I left home without them, actually! I'm a big enough girl to take care of myself, nya! I had something to do here, so I came here of my own will, but... It seems to have solved itself. Now I just have to find my way back home. I actually came here looking for my getaway ride, but, ummm, I don't remember where I left it~ I know it was one of these parks, though! The catgirl laughs awkwardly. It seems she had the memory of a cat as well.
Lowe looks quizzically at the girl, scratching his cheek O-oh, do they now? Er...I'd definitely get chewed out if I got caught calling you that. Especially if... Lowe shudders, seemingly having scared himself. A-At any rate it sounds like you trust this friend. So, what's the deal with not knowing your own name, or basic Japanese, apparently? You got memory issues too?
The blonde girl giggles, looking over at the pond "I might not be too familiar with the city, but aren't there dozens of parks? I hope this thing you're looking for is pretty big... Though I guess it might have been stolen if its too obvious... Or you could have even hidden it underwater." The girl pauses and takes a deep breath, focusing for a few seconds before breathing out and shaking her head as she looks back to Lowe "Its kind of like you said, I can't remember anything before waking up on a hillside just outside of the city. Nothing I've seen so far has done anything to help... B... But maybe you know something about it?" The girl leans on the counter, almost knocking over her pitcher as she looks straight into Lowe's eyes expectingly
Noe
Noe laughs wholeheartedly in her typical catlike manner before finishing her lemonade. Oh, I highly doubt anyone will be able to steal it~ it's pretty big and high tech, nya. If someone messed around with it and broke it though... Then I'm really gonna show my claws! I'll hunt them down and make them confess their sins with their own mouth! Noe was practically hissing. Here's hoping this thing she had was indeed still in one piece... At any rate, it doesn't look like it's here, nya. I'll keep trying until I find it! in one piece or not...
Lowe is taken aback at the girl's sudden enthusiasm, and stutters a bit. E-er, calm down. Hate to say it, but I think our situations have much different origins. I don't even know everything about my own circumstances. He sighs, looking down. From what I know, my old life was forfeit. I was picked up by some greater power for use in some... large-scale human study. Given a new name, a new life. All my memories...were apparently falsified, I think. I'm only alive now because of those higher powers, I'm still on a leash, in a way. He clenches his fist, a scowl forming on his face. Sorry, didn't mean to go on a tangent. I just... don't feel like I'm living my own life. I don't even know my real name. He sighs, shaking his head. Unless you woke up with some black cloth around an injury, I dunno what to tell you. Just...if you meet a man going by FH, stay away from him, no matter what. The boy tries to bring his mood back up, taking another sip. But hey, don't let it get you down. Focus on the now, not the past you can't seem to find. If there's anything you need, you can count on me for some help. I'll do whatever I can to make your "now" as good as can be!
Seemingly stepping out of the shadow cast by one of the many trees, a large man steps into the light with a grin. He holds his right hand above his brow as he stares upwards, allowing himself to properly adjust his vision quickly. "Geez. If I stayed cooped up any longer I think I would've snapped. But at least I'll be able to relax in peace and-" His face sinks as his eyes catch the small crowd around a quaint little lemonade stand. He lets a brief sigh escape his lips before wearing an eerily genuine smile and approaching the stand. "Well if it isn't the Little Engine that Could. I didn't know you were into younger girls..." He laughs softly before turning his attention to Rasa. "I'll take a cup lil' missy. And just let me know if this guy does anything weird, I'll be sure to put him in his place." The man offers a playful wink before fishing out the required cash from his wallet.
The girl briefly looks over herself, almost as if hoping to find something, but of course she came perfectly unharmed, so the girl does her best to smile and lean back "S... Sorry about that Lowe. I guess I was just hoping for something. Y.. You really don't need to worry about it, I'll be fine. If I meet that guy I'll make sure not to get into trouble" Though he mentioned being careful around this FH character, she wasn't likely to pass up a chance to learn about herself, even if it seemed unlikely. With the heavier stuff out of the way the girl looks back to Noe "So it is a big metal thing? You think maybe someone mistook it for alien stuff? I mean, I guess something like that would be all over the news.... Come to think of it, what are you looking for anyways?" Her conversation is interrupted by the newcomer, with no reason to think otherwise the girl returns his smile with an upbeat tone as she pours out the last of her first pitcher "I think Lowe here will be fine, if anything it was me. Thank you for the thought though."
A young woman in a t-shirt and jeans wanders into the park, one might note that various bugs also seem to start flitting about the area when she arrives. Or would, if they hadn't been at it already thanks to sugary lemonade in the outdoors. As she walks to the stand, a bored look on her face is replaced with a slight smile. "Huh, a lemonade stand out here? Not a bad idea actually... And I see you're around Kalib, how's it been since the last time we spoke? I've been pretty well, as has that mutual friend of ours." No need to mention that said friend is a parasite currently chuckling in Taylor's mind. Her greeting to "Kalib" done, she'd turn toward Lowe and the two girls. "And I'm Taylor by the way, nice to meet you 3 I guess... Oh and one cup please." She'd fish out... A 500 yen bill, clearly this girl does not have small change. But either way it goes on the counter.
Noe
Noe couldn't help but overhear Lowe's story... Large scale human study? that sounds so sad... Inside, she felt grateful to have a somewhat normal life, even if she was half cat half human. Suddenly, the girl looks to Lowe and speaks to him with some new passion. She may be butting in and out of line, but meddling was in her DNA. You're not alone, nya! Lemonade Girl is really nice, and a lot of people are, even if some can be really bad! What seems impossible alone becomes possible with the power of love and friendship! Atleast, that's what I was taught... Even if you don't have memories, I'm sure you can find your purpose in life no matter what it is! With the appearance of a certain large man, Noe wagged her tail and giggled. She seemed happy about something, but she didn't say anything to confirm exactly what it was. She turns back to Rasa, back in a good mood. It's a time machine, nya! in this world, they seem to be in beta mode, but in mine they had a big tech boom and now we have fully functional ones! I put mine together all by myself~ Noe seems proud. If not for the fact the thing came with a manual and it was basically a dumbys guide, she would actually have something to brag about. Hmmm... I don't think people here would really know how it works unless they were really smart. I left the manual at home, nyaha~ I bet they probably think it's a UFO. Not that I can blame them. Noe waved enthusiastically to Taylor as she arrived. Hihi! I'm the Nexus' most cute catgirl gunslinger, Noe-chan~! She then performed a ridiculous looking chuunibyo-like pose, but in the process, knocked her own cup with the ice in it on the ground. O-oops...
Lowe turns to the familiar voice. Was this Kalib? It seemed like him in most senses, but that ever so slight hint of malice, condescension...it made the scar on the back of his neck tingle. That's a new one. And just who might you be, just a good Samaritan looking out for his fellow citizens? You're not the boss, that's for sure. Lowe finishes his own lemonade, leaning a bit on the stand. He seemed more alert, if anything; but this guy didn't seem outright hostile, like a certain other doppelganger he's had trouble with.
Trying to keep his cool, he turn to the catlady and the new girl. Nice to meet you Taylor, I'm Lowe...and yeah, don't worry about me Catlady, er...Noe. I'm not too hung up on it for the time being. I got friends to look after, scores to settle. No sense losing it all in a past I can't find.
Taylor would look at the catgirl and giggle, geez who does something like that anyway? Knocking your cup, clearly, Noe here isn't always the most aware of her environment. "A gunslinger huh? Can't say I've used any of those myself, I know a thing or two about how to fight, but guns are just never something I've really wanted... They're kinda lethal, aren't they?" Unless this girl is slinging some kinda weird Tinkertech guns, in which case they no doubt have a set phasers to stun built in. Huh, that would be pretty useful now that she thinks about it but neither here nor there. Instead, she'd look at Lowe and wince, seems like he knows Kalib well enough to figure out this isn't the real deal. But, no need to let on what she knows. Instead, the girl would tilt her head at his comment on the past. "Looking for your past huh? Well if it's any consolation, somethings are best left forgotten. I can't speak for yours, but I've got plenty of bits to the past I'd prefer to forget about... Oh well, those days are long gone now so no use worrying over it!"
"Nice to meet you Taylor, didn't expect this little corner to get so popular." The girl laughs to herself as she reaches beneath the counter to get her second pitcher, storing the first in the way as she does so and begins pouring, the girl glances between Taylor and Kalib "So you two know each other then, I take it you're good friends?" The girl raises an eyebrow as she finishes pouring, sliding Taylor her drink and accepting the money before turning back to Noe with a grin "Well then, you'd best be watching for UFO sightings then, as soon as someone finds your thing it'll probably be big news, and then you'll know where it is, piece of cake." The girl notices a bit of tension between Lowe and Kalib, silently shaking her head. Boys will be boys after all.
The girl shrugs at Rasa's question, good friends is pushing it a bit... But she can't say she dislikes the guy, and Termite's been quite the help. "Eh, we've met a few times and we get along well enough. But I wouldn't call us best friends or anything... Really, I don't hang out with people that often, so I can't say I know anyone too well here." Step up over home though, not knowing much of anyone is greatly preferred to how things were in school. Besides, playing hero all the time is more fun anyway. At that, the girl would grin a bit without noticing, quickly taking a gulp of her drink. "As for it being popular, well I just heard about it from... A fly on a tree you could say, or something like that."
The man beams at Taylor's arrival and plays it up with a bow. "My dear Taylor, if I had a dollar for every time we've met prior, I'd have three dollars. I'm glad you're doing well, and best keep on top of our friend's diet. He can get mighty temperamental when he's hungry, if you're pickin' up what I'm puttin' down." He whistles softly as he catches cat-like eyes staring intently at him. He approaches the girl with a grin while adjusting his glasses, light hiding his eyes behind the glare. "I know I'm the cat's meow, kitten. But I'd advise a picture, it'll last longer. Granted, I'm all ears if you wanna explain what that's all about." He hands her his drink before spinning on his heel to face Lowe. "Just a concerned citizen making sure there aren't any deviants after our youths. Not all heroes wear capes y'know. But in all honesty it was just a joke. I'd struggle against your attacks...only because I lack training. Heh..." Once more he fishes out some cash before turning back to Rasa. "The name's Kalib by the way. Pleased as punch to meetcha! And Taylor and I are more comrades in arms than anything. Fought once, spoke twice. Quite the relationship. Anyways, if I could get another cup my dear."
Noe
Noe nods to Lowe with a smile. Seems like he didn't need the prep talk, but she was glad he was alright. I don't really understand it myself, but as long as you can look forward, then it's good to keep going, nya. That's what I always do! Noe looks to Taylor a little amused. She wagged her tail in a slight fit of arrogance. Lethal, but effective~ my mom taught me how to shoot, but that was just with a handgun. Now I can wield pretty much any kind of firearm, nya! plus, being agile helps! What do you fight with, Tay-chan? After asking whilst giving Taylor a childish nickname with a straight face, she tilts her head at Rasa and sighs lightly. Still a fascination with UFOs even here, nyahaha~ hmm, if I read the reports online I should be able to find where I crashed... Thanks, Lemonade Girl! you're top tier waifu material, nya! Noe bounced out of her seat cartoonishly in happiness before sitting back down. For not having any memories either, Lemonade Girl was smart. This would definitely help her narrow her search down. Noe seemed surprised when the one called Kalib approached her. She giggled in amusement in her own catlike way. Oh, you're not exactly my type, old man~ you just remind me of someone I know back home is all!
My past is what it is. It makes me who I am, and as it stands, the me I was before and the one I am now may as well be different guys. That doesn't mean I don't wanna find my roots though, follow them. Maybe even find a way home. Lowe checks the wristwatch on his arm, and whistles. On that note, I was on my way back to my place. Got training to do. It was nice meeting you Noe, Taylor, and er...Sis. He sets his empty cup on the stand and begins to make his exit. Before he gets too far though, he turns to "Kalib". As for you, watch it. That last bit said, he leaves the serene park, yet another mystery swirling around in his head.
The girl shrugs, heh... Termite's diet is no issue for her, the idiots in local gangs aren't fine dining or anything, but they're filling enough if only because it's fun knocking em down a peg or two. "Ah, no problem, we've been doing quite well for ourselves in fact. though, I guess he could do with a more meaty meal pretty soon. Give us a shout if something comes up yeah?" The girl would then look back at Noe... Tay-chan? What the heck kind of name is that? Oh well, at least the Noe doesn't seem to mean anything bad by it. If anything, she's just a bit childish from what Taylor can guess. "Hmm, depends on what's around at the time honestly. But uh I've been using a hammer a lot lately, not exactly the nicest thing around, but it doesn't kill anyone as long as you're careful. I prefer to avoid lethal ya know?" She'd then wave toward Lowe, shooting the boy a curious look as he mentions training. If she were much more curious, she might tail him using her bugs to follow without being seen. As is, she just looks at Noe with a confused face. "UFOs? If you're looking for something weird I could help out, I spend a lot of time out and about. Though mostly in more urban parts, can always ask people I met if they've seen it though. Uh, assuming you want to give me some way to get in touch anyways..." She's not really sure why she wants to help this girl, maybe a whim? Not having anything better to do? Whatever the reason, she's clearly serious about looking for the thing.
The girl momentarily frowns at Taylor, tilting her head in concern "You mean you don't talk to people, like, at all? That sounds kinda sad. are you a hermit? Oh, or maybe one of those hippies" That makes some sense with the fly phrasing anyways, maybe they're actually one of those druids who communes with nature or whatever. The young girl nods to Kalib before fetching another cup to fill "Pleasure to meet you Kalib. Sounds like you people end up fighting quite a bit. Its a little sad really." The girl finishes pouring his drink and passes the cup over to Kalib with a smile, nodding to Noe in the process "I'll take that as a compliment. Good luck finding your ship." Finally, the young girl waves at Lowe as he leaves "I hope to see you again Lowe, alright? Good luck out there." The girl shakes her head, obviously Lowe and Kalib have some kind of rivalry or something, its not that uncommon surely, reminds her of the firefighter a little
The man holds himself as he begins to shake, pretending of course. "Oh my! So scary.... whatever did I do to incur such wrath? Woe is me!" He sneers before standing normally once more. "As if his threats hit anywhere close to home. He doesn't know who he's dealing with." A chill would permeate the air before Kalib regained his sensibilities. He turns back to Noe with an almost embarrassed smile on his face. "Eheh...sorry about that. Old rivalry... ahem. And don't worry sweetheart, my type typically doesn't need to be housebroken, you're safe. But you say you know someone who looks like me? And you said you got yourself a time machine?" There's no way, right? Kalib shakes his head as he continues to speak. "Erm, what were they like?" Kalib quickly grabs the cup with a smile and downs it before it meets a fate like Noe's previous drink. "Delish! And the fighting thing is a life I chose for myself. I fight alone for the greater good! Or something equally as narcissistic. I do what I want, when I want. And I hate taking no for an answer."
Fighting is sad? Maybe, but the world is full of shitty people doing shitty things. And someone has to stand up and try to protect the little guys from it. "Maybe the fighting is a bit sad... If everyone was a decent and reasonable person who didn't want to hurt others the world would be a much better place wouldn't it?" The girl smiles, a sad sort of smile as she downs the rest of the cup. With that, she'd push up her glasses and shrug at Rasa, hermit? Not quite. "I'm neither of those things, just... Busy with work most of the time, always more for me to deal with. And what I do might not be the biggest or flashiest thing around, but it's important in its own ways." True fighting common thugs and such isn't up there with slaying gods, but seems as if the people who slay gods don't really have time to go out and protect people from common thugs. Either way, Taylor shakes her head before looking back at Kalib and giggling a bit. " "I fight alone for the greater good!" He says, geez you sound like some kinda cheesy Protectorate ad or something! Are you sure you're not just a government-sponsored superhero?"
Noe
Well, demons and thugs in my world are pretty thick skinned so you need something like a gun to beat them~ I've never killed anyone though, nya! Promise! If I did, they would have to be a really really bad person... But I think anyone's heart can be changed! Noe smiles at Tay-chan and looks back to Kalib. She seemed to actually start to look uneasy as he pushed his questions. Mm. A time machine. But, just so you know, I came here on specific business and it's not something to play around with... I could get in a lot of trouble, nya! Not to mention chaos theory and stuff. Well, he's a big guy, like you. Really nice guy, on the scruffy side, he likes fishing and he always let me have one when we met! Apparently he and my mom had some adventures before... He's kinda like an uncle, nya~ Noe wagged her tail as she recalled memories of an old friend. I wonder how everyone's doing... I didn't think I'd get this homesick, nyahaha~
The girl sighs and shakes her head not really what she envisioned doing for fun, but there are all kinds of people in this world, like Noe, so she can't really blame them "I understand, but try not to get into too much trouble Kalib, you need to take care of yourself too." The girl looks back at Taylor, waiting for her to finish talking before nodding her head "I don't think anyone really means to do bad, it just seems like the best thing for them, or maybe they're just scared. I wish there were more I could do about it...." The girl sighs, closing her eyes for a moment, then waking with a start, she yawns almost as though trying to avoid sleeping. "S... Sorry, I seem to be a little tired. I... I'll be back some time, oh, and do try to get along alright? I... It was great to meet you all." Rather than try to put the whole stand up, the girl quickly takes down the sign and gathers her things, leaving the booth in its place near a bench before getting up to head home No need to like, stop just because I left, feel free to use this place as a sort of general IC chat or whatever, I'm not your mom. At least there'd be somewhere for me to come back to that way, right?
Kalib scoffs at the Taylor's thought. "Hah! No such luck...a government croney wouldn't need to live paycheck to paycheck. I scrape by as is... haha...." Kalib turns his attention back to Noe with an uncharacteristically warm smile. "Sounds like a lot is riding on this mission of yours. You should be careful, playing with time can turn the eye of someone even I'm terrified of..." He bites his lip as he thinks for a moment, but he's not lost in thought for long. With a nod he'd approach the girl and put his right hand on her head. "It sounds like there's someone you wouldn't want to let down. So keep your head high and don't give up. I'm typically dealing with despair, but I hope you can complete the task you have with ease." He ruffles her hair slightly with a grin. "You can always ask for help. Sometimes people can't do it alone. Not me though, I never need help! Hehe!" He waves his hand at Rasa's words. "Sorry lil' missy, but trouble is a bed fellow of mine. She never lets me go."
A random sheet of paper drops down, landing on a sidewalk, magoically without explantion, the paper begins crawling over towards the lemonade stand.
Anyone's heart can be changed? Tell that to the man who was willing to burn a bunch of teenagers to death for petty theft... Nah, best not go there. No sense in ruining the innocence of others cuz her life has been shit. "Heh, that's a good way to see it, Noe. Nice to hear that someone at least is willing to give people a chance... As for me, can't say I'm entirely sure of that myself but uh, I've met some pretty bad people over the years." She'd then look back at Rasa... Heh, the kid is clearly nice beyond most people. As for Taylor? She can't believe that, some of the people she's seen... Thinking they don't want to hurt anyone? Hard to imagine, and frankly a scary thought. "Fair enough, personally I can't see things that way... It's a nice view and all, but like I said I've just met some pretty bad guys." As for Noe's mission, time travel is pretty crazy even for Taylor. She can't exactly say she knows a thing about that, but... "Well, if you need any help with something I might be able to lend a hand. I'm not exactly an expert in much, but eh I can be useful sometimes." With that, she'd wave to the leaving girl before turning back to Kalib. "Heh, that's true enough. I once thought about being one of those... But well, certain parties I'd have been working with made me rethink things. Not like they're even around this city though so it doesn't matter in the end." Finally, Taylor looks down at the odd bit of paper moving toward the stand... A cape who controls paper? Or just living paper? Who knows.
The paper magically 'jumps' up, landing on two 'legs' drawn on nearly the bottom end of the blank sheet of paper. It manages to stand upwards and straight, revealing a very poor drawing of a stick figure on what appears to be holding 100 yen.
Noe
Noe smiles and wags her tail, melting to Kalibs headpats. She was more in tune with the neko side of her family when it came to praise. She didn't even mind that the familiar man was petting her. It was like he was family. Ehehee~ That's right! I gotta get real strong and make everyone proud of me! Nyaaaaa~ Still purring, Noe looks to Taylor. There's a lotta bad people, but often times people are just misunderstood. My parents were like that too... I think I'll be okay as far as the time machine goes, though! I know the manual inside and out, nya... as long as no one broke it...
Misunderstood? Hah, sure some of them really are in fact misunderstood. But well she seems to have a lot of bad luck with people. "Hmm, maybe so... I'm not so sure on that one Noe, but don't let that stop you from trying to see the good in people. The world needs more people who are willing to do that." She'd then look at the paper... Huh, how strange, but oh well. The girl would shake her head at it, however. "Sorry paper guy, the owner had to go home so there's nothing left for now." And then you have Noe's time machine, Taylor looks back to the cat and tilts her head. Something about this whole thing seems strange, but well everyone is strange around here so she can't say too much. "Whelp alright then, but uh I wasn't really thinking of the time machine with that offer. I could look for it maybe, but that's about all... No, the things I'm good at are uh. A bit more dangerous than repairs really." What's a good way to say you specialize in beating the shit out of people with an acid hammer and tossing horrid swarms of bugs at them? She can't really think of one, so best dodge it till that comes up.
A woman with lavender hair walks up to the lemonade stand and immediately recognizes the owner with a smile. "Oh hey! Didn't think I'd see you out here," says Rosie, adjusting one of her necklaces. "How's Saya-chan doing?" OOC: If you want Rasa, we can have a small conversation about how Sayaka plans to attend cram school at night and see where it goes from there.
A man, dressed in dark formal attire and a wide-brimmed hat, looking more like he's ready for a snowstorm than a nice stroll through the park approaches and takes a relaxed seat on the nearby bench. He eyes the now empty stand, before turning his gaze to Rosie. Hmm, sorry little missy. Seems like you missed the owner of this quaint little stand. That goes for me too, a shame, really. I would have loved something to drink. He glances at the wristwatch on his arm, before turning to the girl with a smile so friendly it seems almost fabricated. If you'd like, I'm still here for a chat, though.
Seems like Rasa's taking a break, according to this new fella. He had green hair and was dressed in a sharp-looking black zoot suit. Rosie had some time, so she decided to turn around and talk to him. "Lately, I've been concocting all sorts of bullshit to establish Social Links or Confidants in this town," she huffs, pushing up her glasses. "I told this one dude, a Rider working an arson case, that I'd lead him to his target if he gave me some contact info. Then I tried to befriend a young vampire by healing her burns with an ointment I made in my biochemistry lab, but she didn't seem to want anything to do with me."
He tilts his head quizzically, surprised. Guess she's moving at her own pace here. Oh? Why describe it as bullshit? Why go through the trouble at all, really? Seems like a... monumental waste of time. Unless, of course, you have some sort of end goal in mind. Would that happen to be the cases, Glasses?
"You've seen the news, right? It was reported that Pancake Knight from the Phansite was killed at the GYM last month," she replies. "The official story is that it was a training accident that claimed him, but witnesses say that it was murder. Murder by a Goro Akechi clone who uses fire magic. When the story first broke, I told myself that it wasn't my problem. Then I got zapped into the Velvet Room and was tasked with finding the killer, on some Persona 4 level shit nonetheless." She removed the fingerless glove on her left hand to reveal a tattoo of the Velvet Room's logo: a thin ring containing a stylized "V" surrounded by a laurel wreath. "'V' for Velvet," she deadpans, replacing her glove. "The old man allowed it to be my key into that room. About a week later, I willingly faced my other self who But I digress. Now that PK's murder is my problem, I'm practically scrounging the bottom of the barrel for leads while balancing summer courses, seasonal jobs, and getting stronger as a Wild Card. All this, and it seems I'm nowhere close to eviscerating that bastard Akechi."
who was reluctant to join me.*
The man seems surprised at the story, and adjusts his hat. Oh? The bastard got himself killed? Hehe, tragic. The corner of his lips shudder a bit, as-if concealing a smirk. Well, if it's information you need, you've come to the right place. I was a hotshot of the intelligence branch of my world's military. I think we can work quite well together. He stands, extending a hand to the girl. Whatcha say, Glasses? I'll help you find this Akechi, free of charge. It's the deal of a lifetime, I tell ya.
Ina
A small foxgirl walks up to the lemonade stand. "Ooh, lemonade!" She drops 200 yen for 2 cups and a tip.
A pink haired girl that Hazama might recognize as an old subordinate skips across the park with a red pointy mask on, unknowingly passing by the snek as it exits out of the park without a care in the world.
The hairs on the back of Hazama's neck stand up as he presses finger to Rosie's lips. ...On second thought, hold that for a second. I've gotta take this. He darts in front of the girl, with nigh inhuman speed and pokes her forehead. Why hellooo there, have we...met somewhere before? He opens one usually squinty eye, revealing the sinister yellow iris underneath his eyelid.
OOC: Sorry, was studying for finals. IC: A former intelligence officer? Probably not the best idea to go around and advertise it, but it was better than waltzing into the Metaverse to find the Shadows of those two rival Kamen Riders from the camp just to get some random cop's contact information when Rosie doesn't know jack shit about Riders in general. Who knows when the killer Akechi might come back for round two and smash PK's Eyecon when he's off-guard? "You see, PK was a part-timer in the Velvet Room, so I promised one of his full-time coworkers that I'd catch the killer Akechi myself," she explains. "But I'd appreciate the resources." Rosie's about to say "That reminds me, I'm looking for teammates" when Hazama shushes her and chases after... PK while he's taking over Setsuna-chan's body? Hazama clearly doesn't know what's going on between those two. "Ah, I see... you're one of THOSE kinds of guys," she thinks in an internal deadpan tone. "In that case, I'll keep our relationship strictly professional." ...Wait a minute. This could be a second chance for Rosie to pitch her offer to PK! She casually walks over to PKetsuna, paying no mind to Hazama for the time being. "Hey, do you... remember me, PK?" she asks. "We met in Shibuya not long ago, around the time you hired Setsuna as your squire." Whether PK remembers her or not, she'd try to jog his memory. She did have her glasses on then like she always did, but she also had her naginata strapped to her back. "There were others at the station where we met, but I was the Velvet Room guest with a naginata on her back."
Hazama's eyes widen. PK? He thinks for a minute, before grinning again. No way! You're...here? In this body? I suppose transferring souls isn't that hard to do. So then, where's the dog at? She in there too? Just like that other bitch from back home? Eh, not really my concern. The way I see it, this is someone I can't stand in the body of a loose end that needs tying up! Hazama starts cackling, holding his gut. Sorry Glasses, the deal's off. I'm switching sides! I'd be a fool not to take this opportunity... A long, green ethereal chain with a nasty clamp resembling the head of a snake appears wrapped around Hazama as the amicable vibe he had before melts away. ...and kill like I've never killed before!
"Well shit. I should've seen this coming," thinks Rosie as Hazama retracts his offer. "And here I was hoping to establish a Social Link with some cocky-ass random I met in the park." "Perhaps I should explain," she says after a while, turning to a wild-eyed Hazama. "When PK died, his soul was apparently transferred into a floating glass orb by a traveling spiritualist. I had heard Makoto-kun wanted to send PK and his buddies on a treasure hunt to reunite his soul with his body a la Kamen Rider Ghost, but the difference between those two is that PK here doesn't seem to have a deadline, right?" She turns back to PKetsuna and quietly gestures for them to confirm what she had said. "Anyways, a couple weeks ago, he was looking for an assistant- a squire, rather- to back him up in whatever he's doing to uphold justice in the afterlife," she continues. "I was hoping to fill that position, but Setsuna-chan here beat me and a few others to it."
Well if we're dumping exposition, allow me to explain. A while back, little Setsuna here was a horrid criminal, a murderer even! She had no emotions, no friends, nothing. Aw, how sad; but then me, being the nice guy I am, gave her a purpose as my lapdog! She did everything I said without question, and all out of love! Unfortunately, a few do-gooders decided that what they wanted was more important than what made the dog happy, and she ran off. Now look at her, it makes me sick. Her knowing a bit of my plans only complicates things further, so I'm afraid this dog is going to need to be...put down. As for PK, he stuck his nose in an operation I was running for a friend some time ago, really threw a wrench into the whole thing. So, I figure I should get my payback on him, and nake sure this mutt will never live to see all those errands she ran for me culminate. So, that said, do me a favor and exit stage left. You don't have a part to play in this little show, so run on back to that gremlin with your tail brtween your legs like a good little girl, 'kay?
Confident in her new business, a young, blonde-haired girl walks into the area, a few supplies in her waiting arms. The girl brings back a smallish blue cooler, stashing it beneath her mostly wooden stand and flipping the sign atop it to "open". The girl smiles, looking around, it looks like there are already a few people here, somewhat of a surprise. The girl hardly seems to notice the tension in the air until, finally set up, she looks up between Hazama and Rosie "O... Oh, sorry, is this a bad time? I usually open up around now, but if its too much trouble I could wait..."
For a moment, PK's presence is replaced with the vessels owner. Setsuna looks at Hazama with her own eyes. Hazama-san... Is... Is that really what you think...? Hazama-san... You helped me get to this point... You helped made me real when you had every reason to kill me when you did... You were my friend. You understood me. ...I still consider you my friend, Hazama-san, even if you only saw me as a toy. I'm alive enough to think that... Maybe if I hurt you with the same strength I had back then, you'll see. I'll show you I'm strong... I'll show you how much you meant to me... And I'm not alone anymore. I have helped someone with my gift of life... I'll show you my heart! Setsuna drew a knife. The exact same one she used all that time ago. With PK in toll in the same body, she prepared for what may come.
Seems Hazama's already taken sides against Rosie, and he wants both PK and Setsuna dead! No point in trying to kick his ass and ruin the serenity of the park in the process, so she slips them an activated Goho-M and watches as they teleport away. "Bitch please," she says, pouring herself a cup of Rasa's lemonade and placing 50 yen in the money jar. She then searches her purse for a duty-free bottle of grenadine and adds a few drops into the drink. "Revenge is not in the cards for you- yet. You'll get your chance someday, but know that when it happens, your arrogant ass will be firmly planted behind bars on a long list of charges." She takes a sip of her lemonade and activates another Goho-M "Until next time, darling," she calls out with a wink as she's whisked out of the park.
Becoming in sync with the vessel's owner, PK chimes in as well, speaking with his own voice as Pancake and Syrup joins Setsuna's side, carrying a laser blade ready for use as he responds to Rosie Hehe! Of course, I remember you! I was just sleeping in Setsuna for a bit! Sleepwalking if you will! I'm all good now though! You should get out of here though! This battle is personal! Looking to the lemonade stand for a second PK smiles and raises a thumb in the hand that isn't holding the knife, taking the laser blade from Pancake and Syrup No need to fear citizen! Justice has appeared before you! You'll be safe around me and Setsuna! With that being said..! PK then looks to Hazama with determination in his eyes, spinning the blade around before it glows to life Hazama! It's never too late to change your ways! I believe there is still some good in your heart! Even if it takes countless beatdowns I'll tear away that evil! Setsuna! You ready? I'm about to let loose! Don't hold back! He plans to kill us, but I won't let that happen! When we work in unison nothing will stop us! Here we go!
Sorry Rosie! But I won't run! My life is burning bright right now so I can't stop now! It's not very Knight like to run anyhow! We stand out ground until the bitter end!
Oh, isn't that wonderful! You ARE using the same body. Things have just gone in my favor though, so I hope you two have as much fun as I do! Ouroboros! The chain speeds forward...around the body of Setsuna and coils around the innocent owner of the quaint lemonade stand, the chain poised just above her head. Just how in-sync are you, I wonder? Spout all the bullshit you want mutt, but you're still you. Can you resist your old urge to kill? What about you, PK? You two COULD attack me, but one slip and this little girl will be missing her throat. Show me, just how in-sync you are!
The girl briefly glances around, her attention on PKetsuna for the moment, eyebrow raised "wait, why would I be scared, it feels like I'm mi.... EEK" The girl lets out a little shriek as the chain rapidly approaches her, freezing to where Ouroboros easily coils around her, the girl starts breathing more rapidly, eyes on the end of the weapon as she mutters "today just isn't my day, is it?"
Setsuna took control of her body and glared looked at Hazama and the girl in turn. Setsuna was conflicted... That girl was in trouble. She felt a need to prove herself, but not at the expensive of this young girl... She herself, after everything, knew that life was precious. She considered the situation, and everything involved while closing her eyes... Setsuna opened her eyes again and looked at Hazama. Hazama-san... I love you. Setsuna said nothing else, only those words, as he hangs the chain above Rasa's head.
PK enters within Setsuna and watches through her eyes, for the time being, nearly taking over from the bombshell that was just dropped as he internally screams, calming down though he speaks to Setsuna in her mind, perhaps being a little too loud. Not expecting an answer just yet, but it would be nice to express concerns H-hold on! Are you sure about this? He's a coldblooded killer! Thinking about it though.. Hehe! You're a genius! This is exactly what he needs! Love and compassion! If he makes any moves though I'll be right here ready to go! Just call on me or my persona at any time! With his thoughts now expressed PK lays dormant for now, hiding and waiting, his two personas standing still as well, unlike the explosive chaotic nature of PK they were quite calm under Setsuna
A man in a red coat walks up to the stand... He'd simply observe for a moment, before looking toward Hazama with a slightly happy grin on his face. "Well old buddy how's it going!? See you're having fun bothering the locals. But uh I'd suggest dropping the kid yeah? It'd be a shame if something happened to you Snake Boy, and we all know how well things went in our last battle." Tatsuya's face shows a sly smirk on it, of course inside... Well, he's more than a bit concerned about what might go down here. But letting on that he's not willing to move till the kid is safe would be foolish. Hazama's seen the less than moral actions, so he might fall for this one. "Besides, don't you have anything better to do than play with some stupid kids? I'm sure a savvy ex-intel agent like yourself is swimming in work to deal with. Or maybe I've just misjudged you, and you don't have any actual plans?"
Aww, why do the guys in red always have to show up right when I get to the best part? Hazama's smile fades. Any of these three on their own, he'd be fine, especially the dog or PK. He'd even be just fine fighting the other two at once, but throw in Tatsy and things get complicated. He's a wildcard, in both the literal and figurative sense. Still, he knows now that with their new situation comes a need to adapt. He can abuse this, but another time. Well, looks like guys just caught your lucky break! Thank the nice Firefighter now kids, and watch your step. Never know when you might find a snake on the road, poised and ready to strike! PHANTOM! A figure in a cloak and hat appears in the sky briefly, as Hazama bows and they both disappear in a flash of fire.
That may be the case... But... I'm a killer too. He isn't wrong... I killed many to get to where I am... But I plan to use that gift to appreciate life... Please, trust me. Setsuna looked actually quite sad as Hazama disappeared... Disappointed, even. She wanted to best him and show her how strong she became, but he seemed to flee in response to the arrival of Tatsuya. She glared at Tatsuya. You... I... I see him again and you come, and he leaves... You... ...I hate you... Setsuna looks down, disheartened. Her feelings were... very complicated and conflicted. Regardless, PK would perhaps soon take over and brighten the mood. For Setsuna herself, she would probably spend some time alone in headspace after this.
The girl blinks for a moment, coughing as the chain releases her to the ground. She slowly gets back to her feet, nervously glancing at the newcomer "I... I'm sorry. C... Can someone tell me what just happened?" The man with green hair obviously wasn't very considerate of others, which is a little sad, for a moment, the girl wonders about him, only to shake the thought out of her head, can't spend time worrying about everyone you come across.
I trust you! I know you've killed, but that doesn't mean you can't change! I just have a hard time trusting him is all! We have a bit of history! We'll deal with him some other time on our own terms! PK takes overs the body of Setsuna as he puts away his weaponary, sending his pair of Jack Frost's over to Rasa to hand her some pancakes topped with syrup while PK sends warm thoughts to the resting Setsu as he steps towards Tatsuya Whew! Thank's for your help Tatsu! That could have been a close one! Next time we won't let him take a hostage like that! You have my word! A Knight doesn't go back on his word after all! Hehe! Turning to the damsel in distress now he checks for any external injuries before smiling at her, then bowing before raising up and yelling Sorry about that! My name is Pancake Knight! At your service! Typically I don't look like this but for the time being me and Setsuna are sharing a body! That man from earlier is Hazama! He's not the nicest person around, but I am gonna bring him back to the good side! Mark my words!
Tatsuya tilts his head at the girl, granted he's annoyed by Hazama running away like a bitch too. But living for revenge like that... It isn't really healthy, he'd know better than most really. "Got a bone to pick with Snake Boy? Can't say I'm too shocked considering he'll lie cheat and kill without a second thought and all..." Tatsu pauses and sighs, how to go about telling the kid this? Well, might want to try and... Hmm, yeah that might be an okay starting point. "Listen, whatever he's done to you? Living to chase after revenge on his sorry ass ain't worth your time kid. Guys like Hazama are a dime a dozen frankly, granted not many of them are as good as him but in the end... There are more interesting things you could be doing ya know? Go ahead and hate me if ya want, but personally, I think it's too much effort hating someone over that!" He'd then look at the young girl behind the counter, what happened... "Long story short, Hazama and I are uh acquainted with each other. He's a murderer who seems to do things just for a laugh, but he ain't stupid. Guess he figured with me around his odds just went down when it comes to hurting you." He'd smile over at the girl, it's a bit stiff but well he's switching from threating death to a casual talk so that's no shock. "Tatsuya Suou by the way, nice to meet ya kid." He'd then look at PK... In the body of that girl? Huh, so he's using her as a vessel then. "Not an issue PK, knowing that one he'd have come up with some way to cause issues regardless. At any rate, I'm just annoyed that he's got some teleporting method on his hands now... Would have been nice to finish things." The man reaches into his coat, drawing a lighter from it and flicking it on with an absent look on his face.
The girl breathes a sigh of relief, at least its not something new, having experienced people around is always nice, whatever the situation is, the girl would sit back down and look up at the sky "wonder what his problem is. Not like we had the chance to talk before... You know." The girl would rub her arms, a few red bands having appeared from where Ouroboros grabbed her, but aside from some chafing and soreness she'd be pretty much fine. The girl looks back over to Tatsuya, so apparently he's known here? Not like she'd remember that, for now the girl takes a deeo breath "Its nice to meet you Tatsuya, though the circumstances could have been better." The girl glances over to where Hazama vanished from, its a little sad to think that someone might threaten a complete stranger, but that's all the more reason to stay positive, or at least that's what she tells herself
Nice to meet him, hmm... Strange to hear from some kid running a lemonade stand, after she just had her life threatened no less. "Yeah, nice to meet you as well... As for Hazama's problem? Well, that's a long and complex story, the basic gist is he was some artificial-human made to serve the plot of some megalomanic or another?" The details are sketchy at this point, been a while since he's thought about that one after all. The man flicks his lighter closed and looks Rasa in the eyes. "Anyway, lemme say this about him. Hazama's a cold-blooded killer and not the kind who needs a good reason either ya get me, kid? Chances are if he hadn't been scared off you'd be good and dead in short order. Free advice, but don't go poking into his crap." He'd walk up to the counter, placing 50 yen on it then leaning against the thing and shrugging to himself. "Oh, and by the way, you got a name? I guess I could just keep calling you kid but eh figured I'd ask."
Mmm, it's a true shame! I won't ever understand why people do evil acts! But I will still do my best to convert them back to the good side! It's my duty and mission to help all those that need it! Hehe! At any rate I should get Setsuna some rest! I think me and Setsuna can take Hazama next time Tatsu! Having you as backup just in case would be nice though! Anyhow goodbye everyone! It's been an exciting day! It was nice to meet you! PK then smiles before jumping into the air and hopping onto two flying swords and soaring away into the distance!
in all truth, the thought of her getting hurt had hardly occurred to the girl. Aside from the initial shock, it almost seemed a little sad in a way. The girl solemnly shakes her head "I... Can't seem to remember anything past a week ago." The young girl takes out a cup from beneath her stand, carefully filling it as she continues talking "I try not to worry about it much. Hopefully next time I meet them we can at least try to talk but..." considering her audience the girl decides not to go any further, its obvious there's some bad history between Hazama and Tatsuya here, not something she'd like to go into extensively "Sorry, I know, I know, I'll stay out of the way."
Geez, this kid has no sense of how things work does she? He's almost impressed, on the other hand... "Kid, you need to look out for yourself more. I don't really care about Hazama much in the grand scheme of things, he's a danger to innocent people but the guy's never hurt me personally. That being said? He will cause you harm if he thinks they're something to gain from it, so watch yourself, please." He'd then take the cup off the stand, slugging it down in a single drink and looking down for a moment. "I'm not exactly some saint over here myself, but I'll always look out for people where I can... Just do me a favor, and don't get anywhere near that guy by yourself. Talk to him if you want, but just try to stay safe." The kid's safety is his real concern here, after all, Hazama dying or not is... Well, he'd prefer the green-haired bastard dead to be sure. But it's more because the man is a possible threat and an unrepentant murderer, currently he's not a major issue so no sense worrying about him too much.
The young girl smiles knowingly, putting her pitcher back beneath the stand as she looks back at Tatsuya "Well then, I guess I'll just have to make sure he has nothing to gain and I'll be fine."
Nothing to gain... Easier said than done. "Considering that he considers hurting people an amusing pass time and that amusement is gain enough? That's not exactly a good plan kid... He'll manipulate ya till there's no more fun to be had with that, then kill ya off." The man would then wave to this nameless girl, walking off before he pauses for a moment... Stopping and looking over his shoulder at her. "And if you want something ta call yourself, how about "Nanashi"? It's well, a word for "Nameless" or "No name" honestly, kinda a common thing for people who've got no clue who they are. Anyway, I'll see you around I'm sure.'' That said and done, he'd then walk off into the night. He can't help worrying about the kid... Anyone crazy enough to get near a guy like that after he started in with the frigging chains is someone to be concerned for, and given that it's just a kid. Well, he can't help feeling like he's gotta do something. Either way, he's gone for now.
A soft whistle comes from behind a nearby tree as the pair share their final exchange. Emerging from behind it would be none other than Kalib. His head on a swivel as he watches Tatsuya wander off to who knows where. "Well that's a bust. Took a nap and missed out on all the fun!" With a disgruntled sigh he begins to shuffle towards the lemonade stand. His face made him look a bit more grouchy than normal, but he still fished out the change for a drink and plopped it on the counter. "Why hello there lil' missy! Fancy meetin' up with you again!" His voice was cold, but there was some semblance of life as he spoke. "You made some colorful acquaintances today, huh?"
obviously talking with them again would probably be dangerous, but then again, so was trying to help a vampire and that ended up working out. The girl would remain silent as Tatsuya walks away, holding one hand close to her chest and whispering "Nanashi?...." It is this wistful mood that Kalib walks up to the stand, interrupting her train of thought. In a moment, the girl returns to her normal cheerful smile as she reaches beneath the counter for a pitcher "I guess you could say that, hardly got a chance to meet any of them though. Guess they're simply busy." The girl quicky begins to pour, only to realize she forgot to get a cup and, somewhat embarassed, hurries to correct the mistake "A... Anyways, I hope you've been doing well, we hardly got to talk last time either, though I guess that much was more my fault." The girl passes over a cup of lemonade before looking under the booth for a napkin to wipe the bit she spilled off with
Akechi got up early that day, it would've been busy ofr, the time being. Managing his detective persona and the extra work Shido provided was not easy, so he decided to take his bike and go out for a few hours to easy his mind about everything. Instead of his normal attire he would wear a red hoodie and a black hat in order to cover his face and not be recognized by his fans or anyone else on sight. His journey takes him to a park and he stops for a second as soon as he notices a lemonade stand. Hhhm, perhaps i could go for some but first... He takes out his phone to check the time, as soon as he did he sighed. I guess not then, time is only enemy in this matter. I need to attend a briefing for the show of tonight so i better get going. Getting lemonade was truly something i needed. Welp, next time for sure. He then leaves the park with his bike as soon as possible.
The angry looking man actually cracks up at the girl's absent minded act. He of course stifles his laughter as best as he can to try and avoid embarrassing her anymore. He grabs his cup with an oddly warm grin. "They don't seem to be the only one's with a lot on the brain." He takes a sip of his lemonade as beady red eyes peak out from behind the tree he was sleeping under. He notices them but doesn't pay them any mind. "So Tatsuya and Hazama, huh? Not sure which one has more screws loose... granted I'm the pot calling the kettle black." He looks down at his cup before speaking again. "Nanashi wouldn't be a good name. It isn't who you are. A name is something that your identity is tied to. Forgotten or not, calling yourself nameless is like turning your back on your forgotten past." He takes another swig before speaking. "But those are just the ramblings of a mad man."
The young girl wouldn't notice anything behind the tree, focused as she is on her mistake, she continues wiping for a moment after its cleared, before shaking her head as though getting out of a daze "I'd prefer to know them better before I say anything. Though, at the very least you don't seem crazy to me. No worse than anyone else around here." He says that accepting a name like Nanashi would be like leaving her past behind, the young girl sighs "If anything hasn't it left me behind? Its not like I asked for this." of course, even if she had its not like she'd remember doing so, the girl sighs and mutters under her breath "If I even have a past."
A small black rabbit would hop out from behind the tree and begin to approach as Kalib mulls over her words. "Alright, then why not find a new name. One that fits who you are, and who you want to be. No need to be nameless when you clearly got quite the personality!" Kalib didn't want to pry any further, so he leaves her whispering alone for now. Instead he focuses his attention on the rabbit hopping towards him. He grins and quickly places his mostly empty cup onto the stand. "When it comes to those two, it's easy to be disillusioned by their candied words. I on the other hand have little interest in stopping people from living their lives as they see it. My madness is more scientific than anything else, look here." The black rabbit leaps high into the air and Kalib catches it with ease. He cradles it in his left arm while petting it. "This little fella is a creation of mine. Still working on a name for them... Animorphs? No. Don't want to get sued." He stops petting for a moment as the creature eyes the girl curiously. "Rabbit, Armed Mode!" The small bunny would begin to transform into a wispy black cloud before coalescing into a black greave. Holding the armor piece in his hand he continues. "Weapanimals? No. Not what they're designed for. Anyways, animals that can become tools for human augmentation. What do ya think?"
The young girl meets the rabbit's eyes, its a little strange, something feels off about it, but its also kinda cute still. Still, creations? Like made from scratch, or worse.... Probably best not to think about it. Watching it change shapes... The girl looks at the greave "D.... Does it hurt? Changing like that I mean. T.. They're still living too after all." as for finding her own name... The girl would try not to think about it much. In truth she almost never thought about her lack of a name, its only when it gets brought up that it ends up being embarassing, for the most part its like she hardly misses anything
"No worries. These little guys weren't designed to suffer. Rabbit, revert." At his words the greave turns into a cloud of black cloud before becoming the rabbit once more. With a small yawn the creature opens its red eyes to stare at the girl once more. "They are living, that is correct. However they aren't organic in a typical sense... how should I put this? Are you aware of the power of Persona and that of their opposite, the Shadow?" He picks up his cup and allows the rabbit to lap up whatever remains while he waits on the girl's answer.
Emerson, on a walk through the park, comes across a familiar face and an unfamiliar one. He immediately hops over to the familiar one and wraps an arm around his shoulder. "Ey, Kalib! How's it going? Meeting new-" He looks down at the black cloud turning into a rabbit before his eyes. This seemed... oddly familiar. "... Other Kalib? That you? Hey, how's it been! Haven't talked with you for a while. Make any... progress?" He then remembers there's another person there. Removing his arm from Fakelib, he gives Rasa a hello wave. "Er, hi! Sorry for not introducing myself first. Emerson. A... friend of Kalib's."
The girl wastes no time shaking her head as she leans forward against the wooden stand "Is that something I should know about? I... Sorry, I haven't heard a word about these "Personas" or "Shadows" that I can remember, but, well, I guess that doesn't mean too much. The girl twists some loose strands of hair between her fingertips as she keeps watching the rabbit, they said it didn't suffer, which is somewhat of a relief, but it also seems odd in a way. The young girl sighs, not like that's anything new
She perks up a little upon Emerson showing up, though it occurs to the girl, great, its another introduction. For now she doesn't have a name, and anything's better than going through the whole sequence again, so she offhandedly comments "Nice to meet you Emerson, you can call me Nanashi. I know, not much of a name but I guess its better than nothing."
A figure in a gray hooded cloak would be walking through the park. Something would feel off by his mere presence as if there was a group approaching rather than a single person but for anyone looking directly at him, they'd be able to see plainly that it was a single individual. The figure would suddenly feel something as something inside him began to stir. He'd suddenly be aware of the presence of Fakelib and begin walking towards him. He'd lift up his hood to reveal a set of cold blue eyes and a head full of short brown hair. The man would smile coyly as he greeted Fakelib. "Hey, boss. Didn't think you'd be around here so casually. Usually, I see you in much more disclosed locations. What's that rabbit in your hand? It almost looked like...Hookworm...but it's a rabbit?" He'd give a quick glance to the girl but his interest was much more fixated on the rabbit. He'd almost seem to be examing it as if to determine if it was a desparisite or not.
A boy with a very confused look on his face wanders into the park, he'd look around for a moment before spotting a few people gathered at a lemonade stand and walking over with a smile on his face. "Oh hey there, I'm uh Peter Parker... And say can any of guys tell me where exactly I am? I have no clue how I ended up here, but uh the last thing I recall I was walking around New York, but my GPS is saying this place is Tokyo Japan?" Amazing he still has cell service out here really, and he's half expecting he got blasted by some weird alien tech or maybe godly magic. Who even knows what's going on in this day and age... And then there's the guy with grey hair, staring at some weird black rabbit thingy... "Genetic engineering? I'm kinda a science nerd myself, but I've never heard of any projects like that... Can't be top secret though, or you wouldn't be showing it in a park full of random people? Oh and uh what does a Parasite have to do with anything, Mr. Brown Hair?" The boy's babbling on, speaking at a fairly quick speed... And oh yeah overhearing things most people wouldn't, is that spiderpowers? Most likely yes, he can play it off though, just good hearing really.
Kalib nods at the newly dubbed Nanashi's words. "It wouldn't hurt to know what Shadows and Personas are. But I can really only give you a barebones answer. A Persona refers to the mask you wear to face life, a Shadow is everything about yourself that youd hide and lock away. This world sees wielders of an actualized version of a Persona to fight for their beliefs... labelled the heroes most of the time." He sighs softly. "I study the dark side. This rabbit... wha-!?" His eyes narrow and grow cold with killing intent for a brief second as Em throws his arm around him. He composes himself before speaking. "Yes. I've been progressing smoothly. And you don't need to say we're friends in such a cold way. Even I can get offended you know." Kalib takes a moment to breathe as Quintus appears. "Can't be working all the time Quin, kills motivation. And if you're lucky that's the only thing killed. And you've never seen this either?" Kalib's face begins to sink as another new face enters the fray. "Alright. This turned into some overblown show and tell, but no need to hide something designed for human use. I've been studying Shadows and how to use them without needlessly destroying them. And after many trials, I've found a way! These lil' guys can allow humans to go beyond our own abilities by borrowing the powers of other creatures mixed with the potency of Shadows." He finishes speaking with a sigh. "Any questions? I'll answer best I can."
Quintus would study over the rabbit once more before giving up. He'd rub the back of his head, for as good as he was at quick thinking, science was not his strong suit. "I don't really understand it any better than I understand the basics of Hookworm but it sounds pretty useful. As for working, I guess I can't really take my mind of things too easily but that might also be what allows me to work so well with Hookworm in the first place." He'd quickly look over to the odd boy who was talking about more science-related stuff. Quintus wouldn't know quite how to respond but wouldn't show his confusion. He'd opt to give a more smug response as if daring the boy to find out himself. "Why don't you go ask for a parasite yourself and see what happens. Isn't hands-on work what's most useful in science?"
Em gives Nanashi a warm smile. "Well, glad to meet you, Nanashi. Heh, I had amnesia when I first showed up too. Don't let it get to you, all right?" He bumps Fakelib in the arm, a dumb smirk rising on his face. "Oh, come on, you know it was a dramatic pause! Well, anyways... that's pretty interesting. And you said it doesn't harm anything really... Well, what's it do exactly? Er, beyond turning into a cloud of smoke."
Any questions... Yes lots and lots of them. What's a Persona and what's a Shadow seem important, but he'll run with the barebones basics, for now. "Yes in fact, uh what kind of research has been done to these animals actually? Shadow monster thingies don't seem like they were approved by anyone, and I'm guessing that you aren't doing this just for the sake of advancing science." The boy rubs the back of his head, geez Mr. Stark would not like him poking into this crap whatever it is. That being said, he's not one to back down when there might be danger afoot! "Beyond that, I'm not really sure why we need more superpower granting things floating around? There are tons of guys with crazy powers already, some man-made and others not so much. But at the end of the day... I'm not so sure that toying with mystical stuff and mixing it in with animals sounds safe man. Even plain old genetic engineers have created some scary stuff, this? Who knows what could happen by toying around with something like these Shadows of yours?" The boy just sighs and hangs his head down with that, taking a moment from the rapid-fire questioning to look around and really get stock of these people. The guy with the rabbit, glasses and bigger, something seems off but he can't place it. Then there's the guy with this Parasite... Hookworm, a name to keep in mind to be sure. The girl seems nice, and fairly harmless. Then the last dude... No clue on him, but there's something odd to him. Either way, he'd jolt from his musings by Quin's snarky reply. "Well yeah it is, but if you wanna do that hands-on work safely then you need to prepare properly by learning as much as possible before taking part in an experiment. Ask a question, then do the background research. That's the first two things, didn't you learn this in school man?" He smirks back at Quin, clearly seeming entertained with the little exchange more than anything.
The girl turns away for the moment, letting Kalib continue his talk about the rabbit as just another one of his experiments. She looks downward for a moment, just mixing some voodoo-sounding stuff with a bunch of animals to turn them into weapons. Its always weapons here isn't it? Overall the girl simply pretends she didn't hear much of any of it, instead smiling back at Em "Thank you for being considerate.. I... I'll do my best." She shifts awkwardly, but can't think of much else to discuss on the subject. So many people seem to be worrying about her now, but for what? Guess it doesn't really matter in the end. So she remains little more than a spectator, letting the conversation flow around her
A teenager wearing a black shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows with a red jacket tied around his waist soon arrives. The most noticeable thing about him are the long bandages wrapped around his hands and arms, which he absentmindedly secures. "This heat will be the end of us-OF ME. Not us, just me..." He shakes his head while his eyes flash with a multitude of colors, mumbling something about 'One soul being enough'. "Well, looks like i'm not the only one who decided some lemonade was a good idea-" He stops talking to stare at Kalib, his eyes flash red and black in short succession, both glowing before returning to normal.
The young man grimaces as he sees Rasa's head go down, Not a fan of the madhouse weapons building he'd guess. "Eh, don't worry about it too much uh Nanashi? Not like everyone makes weapons or anything... Well, I can't speak for this place since I just got here!" Peter would then look at the newly arrived Eito, glowy eyes? Is this guy some kinda mutant, metahuman? What the heck is the word for people like Peter anyways... Eh, not the point. "And those are cool eyes man, they come with powers or anything? Not that I'd know anything about those, but uh you know, superheroes are cool and all. Anyways, Peter Parker and it's nice to meet you I guess... Though I gotta say, the bandages make ya look like some kinda punk character in an anime or something."
Kalib smiles at the first two responses and whistles a quick tune. A rather happy melody for an otherwise unhappy man. Shortly after the tune ends another black rabbit begins to approach. He hops over and nuzzles against Kalib's leg. "You want to know how these are different, Quin? Or how they work, Em? I'll show ya, after I deal with his questions." He points to Peter with a grin. "Alright. So first, you want to know why I'm doing this, correct? That answer is simple. I work towards a world where mankind can live without fear of God's will. I simply want to give humanity the tools to protect our own natural order. I can hear it right now, that's a radical way to go about it." He laughs quietly. "And you'd be right, but I'll be rid of my creations once that goal is achieved. These aren't meant to harm others, these are used for defence." His face sinks for a moment, but he smiles once more as he continues. "The base of these creatures is that of a Shadow and nothing more. The animal aspects are little more than window dressing to explain their abilities. However you make a fair point, I don't know what they will become through this stimulus... but it's another form of evolution. If it is too dangerous, I'll destroy it. But for now." Kalib does a quick jump, kind of strange. Considering his size it isn't anything formidable. "I want you to punch me. That'll show you all what these fellas can do. Don't hold back on my account short stuff." "Rabbit and Rabbit, Armed Mode! Bunny Greaves!" The transformation occurs once more, however the pair of greaves attach themselves to Kalib's legs. Each one lighting up with a red design in the shape of a rabbit's head. "Go for it, kiddo!"
Quintus would quickly pull his attention away from Peter who didn't seem to get his sarcasm or chose to ignore it. He'd focus back in on Fakelib and his odd request, however, he would choose to comply as well. "Full force? Sure, though I don't know how much force that would actually be. I'm not built for physical attacks after all even with the boost of my Persona." A small set of roots would wrap around Quintus' arm from seemingly nowhere. Giving Fakelib adequate time to prepare he would go up and attempt to punch him directly in the chest.
Despite being obviously intrigued by it, Emerson lets out a loud yawn, before realizing how tired he was. "Well, gotta say Kalib, pretty impressive. Not gonna lie, if you managed to get a scythe outta one of these, maybe make it a nice little bat or something cute like that, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Those things are pretty much my dream weapon. I... might already own one, and I MAY be able to pretty much make as many as I'd ever need, but I won't object to more." He stretches his arms, taking a few steps back before turning around. "Man I'm pooped... I'll catch you all later, gotta get some shut eye." Giving a wave from behind, Emerson sticks his hands in his jeans' pockets and heads off.
Eito's head snaps to Peter almost instantly, a pink color searing with intense light before dissapearing again. He sighs and extends his hand towards the man. "Heya. Name's Eito Arai, nice to meet you too. The eyes are not quite as beneficial as you would think..." He rubs his arm awkwardly, ruffling the bandages a bit as his eyes shift to a black color and decide to keep it. "It's been a wild ride this last month, and i've been trying to get rid of them."
Something about this guy... A world where mankind can live without fear of God's will? He doesn't know any gods personally, but they don't exactly seem too hellbent on enforcing themselves on people. "Gods? I mean yeah Thor is running around and all, plus whoever else... There was that whole New York attack Loki pulled. But I can't say that's been a huge problem? Then again, I don't know everything." And window dressing... So these things are more monsters molded into various shapes? Almost like some kinda weird supernatural/bio version of Mr. Stark's armors in some ways, but then there's them growing to consider. "Seems a bit spooky to me, but uh I have faith you won't build another Ultron or something. That'd be pretty messed up." And aww, this Quin guy didn't rise to the bait at all. Well, that's no big deal... And hey, he made sure that Peter didn't have to hit anyone so good for him all things considered. Regardless, the boy looks back at Eito and winces. "Oh, well that's too bad man. I'm not too sure about getting rid of glowy eyes or anything... Hope it works out for you though."
Kalib laughs at Em's words. "Well I do have a bat already, but I'll be sure to let you know if I find a suitable scythe for ya! See you around." With a wave he faces Quin once more. Right as Quin's fist makes impact, Kalib vanishes! It isn't until a moment later that a sudden rush of air would show just what happened. Looking up, people could see Kalib some ten metres above Quin. One loud thud later and he lands back on the ground with a three point landing. "Whew! What a rush!" He stands back up with a grin as he begins to dust himself off. "That would've been a decent hit all things considered. Don't sell yourself too short Quin." He looks back to Peter with interest and a hint of anger. "Norse? If I remember correctly. So long as they can be dealt with it's fine I suppose. As for this Ultron thing, I can only assume it's not great." Finally turning towards Eito, a creepy grin plastered on his face. "Oh, Eito. Long time no see! How've ya been holding up?"
He's... Angry, there's even a hint of a twitch in the back of Peter's head for a moment. It dies down quickly, but that's his Spider-Sense. "Uh yeah... Where am I? Ultron was all over the news, a whole city almost went boom because Tony Stark built a robot and it got too big of a head... Or at least, that's what Mr. Stark has said about what went down." As for Thor, well he's not exactly too well versed in such things. But this guy hasn't even heard of him? "And Thor's yeah Norse myth, he's also on the Avengers though. Have you... Not heard of the Avengers? It's entirely common knowledge the planet over, last I looked anyway." Peter would look toward Quin as well with his last question, he can't help but think he's not in Kansas anymore.
Quintus would be blown back a bit by suprise. He would anticipate that the power of a weapon made from a rabbit would do something like this but the speed was still remarkable. "That's an impressive amount of power. Not sure if I could catch you even if I was going at full power. Makes me glad to know that I'm on your side." Quintus would hesitate for a moment but he felt it was an important question to ask. "So, are the animals and parasites really made from harnessed shadows. I know that normal shadows aren't much more than mindless monsters but Hookworm and the other parasites speak. Doesn't that mean, that they're more than just normal shadows?"
Eito's black eyes seem to draw in the light around them as he stares at Kalib. The voices in his head were bastards, but they were bastards who knew a lot of things. And they told him not to trust Kalib. Not this one, whatever that meant. "Not very well...What about you, Sensei?" That last word was borderline hissed as his eyes narrowed. All this conversation about parasites had essentially made sure he wouldn't trust him.
He turns back to Peter with a curious expression. "The puppet cut its own strings then? Ultron must've been the scariest real boy you guys could imagine... and as for this Thor guy, well, not all gods are worried about the domination of mankind. You seem like a smart kid, so I'll trust your judgement should I meet him. Clearly you haven't been here long kid. You're caught up in one nasty web o' worlds. A place that exists because some god wanted to make a jigsaw puzzle with parts from all over. Or so I've been told. Hard to trust hearsay." Quin's praise makes Kalib smile a bit before going back to his neutral expression. "I'm not like you though Quin. My powers rely on external forces, so as strong as I can become...it can also destroy me if I'm not careful. But I don't plan on dying to my own bunnies! And you're cooking with fire now, Quin! These shadows aren't your run of the mill mooks. These guys are shadows that mutated in a sense, they evolved. Their very nature in the sea of human souls allowed them to meld and form new shadows; a fusion of sorts. They were a rare occurrence, so much so that there was only a handful to work with. Those are the parasites. The animals were all made following that logic. But to get to the chosen outcome came with training and exposure to the desired stimuli. And once the conditions were met, they went into a sort of cocoon and went through metamorphosis. However, there was one parasite that was also created in this way... Hookworm. Host Zero was given the first artificial parasite. Granted, that was me being overly curious about how you'd push each other to evolve. No significance past that." Taking a large breath he finally turns back to Eito. The way he hissed that last word was enough of a tell for Kalib to put two and two together. "Curious. You've already got an idea in your head as to who or what I am. I'm honestly impressed, and I couldn't really hide it after you showed up mid speech. But to answer your question, I've been keeping myself busy, so no complaints here."
Biting his lip and clenching his fists, Eito growls as both his eyes are filled with a deep black color, giving him a mildly eerie look. "You made these things, did you?" The bandages on his arms are slowly overtaken by black flames, yet they do not burn away, nor do they give off any burning scent. At this point, his speech has lowered to whispers. "I saw what they do. I'll never forget what happened to all those people." And with that, he blinks and all is back to normal. His eyes return to their regular color and the flames disappear, along with his rage. Sighing he walks away.
The man laughs as Eito walks away. "That's right. I'm the evil one. I forced that kid to kill all those people. Hah. That's a laugh and a half. Why should I be responsible for people giving into the darkness in their hearts and becoming monsters. He got caught and won't see anything but bars for a lifetime." The laughter becomes hysterical. "That's no better than blaming a gunsmith for the atrocities committed by a murderer. But I can see how a twerp couldn't understand a simple concept like that."
Seeing as how her client and his vessel discarded of the Goho-M just before it set off, Rosie blinks back into the park... and Hazama's gone. Guess it was his lucky day; Rosie didn't have to bring out her Persona and put a few holes in that nice suit of his. Oh wait, Tatsuya broke up the fight and this rumored Kalib impostor is talking all sorts of batshit. Not that any of it matters now. It's probably the best possible time for Rosie to talk with Rasa about Sayaka. "Hi there! Didn't know you set up shop here for the day," she says. "How's Sayaka-chan doing?" OOC: I'm gonna be offline for a while for exams. Rasa, if you want to have a dialogue arc about how Sayaka plans to attend night school, then go ahead.
I have my own exams to worry about so I won’t be around for a bit either. Regardless, we can’t really decide what Sayaka is doing since they’re not our characters, it’s kinda up to them.
A young man walks throughout the park, taking steps to avoid running too close to any passerby, his long, dark cloak stands out amidst the spring greenery as he glances around the place. Considering how hot it is there's no way that's comfortable, yet the man hardly seems to pay attention to the weather, instead, he scans the park, walking up and down as though to get a feel for the place.
Out of the corner of Rosie’s eye, she sees Luard enjoying the spring air in his trademark analytical manner: scanning the environment to assess its overall quality instead of feeling it for himself. If he comes up to the lemonade stand, Rosie would try to start a conversation with him and see if the rumors about her client’s death were true, and hopefully establish a Social Link. For now, she decides to leave him be.

After some time, Luard approaches the (empty?) Lemonade stand, though he doesn't pay much attention to the stand itself, instead, he focuses his attention on a nearby tree Lets see... One moment, and... apparently interested, Luard rapidly traces a circle with his left hand, leaving a red image lingering in the air before thrusting his palm into it. Whatever that did, he seems satisfied, and begins inscribing various red runes on the plant, which faintly glow in the sunlight There we are, seems like the best spot
