Nodens Enterprise Cat Cafe
In the entertainment district of Shibuya a new cafe has opened today. It would seem to be decorated with a mix of orange and blue and a large sign that read "Nodens Cat Cafe". Next to the cafe's name would be a cartoonish image of a cat dressed up as a dragon. Despite the odd logo, the interior of the shop would mostly be a normal cafe with cats of varying color and size littering the floors. They'd be doing things that cats normally do such as scratching at the scratch posts near the side of the cafe counter and sleeping on the chairs and booths within the cafe. Working behind the counter would be a young looking girl with a cheerful expression. One of the odder qualities about her would be the cat ears sticking out from the top of her head. These ears didn't seem to simply be an accessory.
Niko enters the cafe. "Is this some kind of joke?" He sighs and walks up to the counter. "So, how long do you think it'll take before dog enthusiasts destroy this cafe?"
Noe
The door opens, and a catgirl walks in, waving her hand to the grand total of two nekos in the cafe right now. Hoooiii! Noe-chan returns to the present for a visit~! She scampers up to the desk and sits down. There's fish, right? this is a cat cafe, there has to be!
Niko spots Noe. "Oh hey again, got something for ya." He takes the gem out of his pocket then throws it over to Noe. "No need to thank me."
Noe
Nya nya? Noe looks at the object that Niko presents her. She stares in wonder for a moment before remembering that this was from the weird park trip. She pockets it happily and smiles at Niko. Thanks~! I don't really know how to use it, but I really like treasure, nya! I wonder how expensive it is...
A woman with black hair walks in. A dark black bow on the top of her head... And upon seeing the people gathered, she'd grin a bit and take the bow off her head revealing a small pair of cat ears. "Huh, a cafe that caters to Faunus? Or something along those lines anyway..." She'd sit down at the counter and wave to the others present, a smile on her face as she taps the counter casually. "Anyway, can I get uh... Some fish I guess, if you guys have any. And I'm Blake by the way, nice to meet everyone."
The girl at the counter would smile at the people coming in, her ears seeming to twitch a little. "Hello! Welcome! How can I help you?" Upon seeing that they too had cat ears she would seem to be surprised. "Huh, are there Lucier here too? That's surprising." She would first address Niko's odd suggestion but she almost seemed to be a little more serious as she responded. "A joke? I don't get what would be funny about this? Also, someone destroying this place? Impossible, if such a thing were to happen then I've been ordered to defend this building...even if it costs my life." She would pull a strange looking dagger out for a moment before quickly putting it away and returning to her cheery demeanor. Finally, she turns her attention to Noe. "We actually have a special on tuna today! One tuna special for only 2000 Yen!"
Niko's not surprised by the answers. This place is so stupid it takes itself seriously. "Figures." Niko shrugs at Noe. "I dunno how to use it either, sell it if you want to. Show it to a friend or something, I don't really care what you do with it." Niko just looks at Blake before greeting her. Although his tone is not that of an angry one, he could at least do with some friendliness in his voice. "My name's Niko. Simple as that."
She'd glance down the child and wave, much like Niko himself she doesn't sound overly friendly. "Hmm, nice to meet you I guess... Don't think I've seen you around here before though." She'd then look at the girl running the place, a smile appearing at the mention of tuna... And 2000 yen being quickly placed on the counter. "I'll have one of those tuna specials myself! And what's a... Lucier? I guess is that the word for people like us where you live?" She's never heard the term before, but it seems like something akin to the one she knows. Though it might only refer to cat-like people, like that neko word she hears getting thrown around now and then. "And I'm curious Niko, you heard about that fighting tournament? I saw the broadcast of that first match... Got pretty brutal, but I can't deny I almost wish I had entered myself."
Niko's ears perk up at the mention of the tournament. "If you're talking about the one I'm thinking about then I didn't see the first match. But I am part of the tournament."
Part of it... Geez, what the heck? He's even younger than Ruby and he's gonna fight in that. "Really? I wouldn't expect it with how young you are. So what kinda style do you have Niko? I might be able to show you a thing or two sometime... If it's anything like mine that is." Of course it all depends on what sort of tactics and weapons the kid has, she can't really help him if his aim is to somehow push his way through attacks and press on to smash people. On the other hand, if he's anything like his build suggests the guy is likely a speed type akin to herself.
That's a question he didn't expect. "Uh, well, I don't really have a style... I kinda just practiced with foam swords back home, kinda did it in a... Freestyle way? So I don't have a solid one, so it might be nice to have a bit of training."
The girl behind the counter would've been busy at hearing Blake's request. After a few minutes pass, she would bring out a plate with an assortment of tuna prepared in different ways. There'd be a tuna melt sandwich, some seared tuna, and tuna sushi all on top of the plate. She'd bow before returning behind the counter. "Enjoy! Oh, the Lucier is what my people are called. We're famous for forging all kinds of metal and of course, there's being able to hear the voices of the stone but I don't want to bore you too much with our history."
Swords, she can work with swords to some extent. "What kind of sword are you slinging around now? I use a katana but the basics are somewhat alike regardless of type, as long as they're for cutting anyways. Stabbing blades you'd want a friend of mine for advice on." Ah food! The woman happily smiles at the girl before digging into it, in short order, she'd have devoured about a quarter of the sandwich before turning back to speaking. "It's good thanks! and metals huh... Sounds kinda neat, but I guess I'm playing at combat trainer for now." With that, she goes back to Niko and rubs the back of her head. "Now, beyond using swords what do you focus on? Dodging foes to evade damage? killing before they can hurt you? Blocking and absorbing attacks? I gotta have an idea of your basic gameplan here Niko."
Niko rubs the back of his head and remembers he's been carrying the box around. He opens it up and shows off the short sword that guy at the armory gave him. "This is what it is. He also said something about it using "dust" for elemental stuff or whatever. There's also this thing that makes it a gun or something." He nervously chuckles. "Well, I hadn't thought about it much... I guess evasion or landing a killing blow before they can hurt me."
Dust!? She must have been at Em's store then clearly. Well, she can teach a thing or two about that. "Dust is a bit more than just that... You got a Semblence? No can't be with how new you are, and I doubt you're from Remnant anyways you don't know what Dust is." She'd reach onto her back and pull out her own weapon, a blade, in a large sheath that has a bladed edge on it. After a moment said blade would quickly fold itself up to reveal a small machine pistol in her hand. Along with a long cord on it, wrapped around her right hand. "Not so different from mine, though yours is no chain scythe to be sure. Anyway, yeah Dust has various elements on it... Not so easily used as melee weapons though, they're more like bullets. And with training they can be mixed into a Semblance sometimes, but we won't focus on that. Instead, I'll try to teach you some basics about dodging and swordplay, quickly shifting forms with that weapon, and of course aiming straight." The very basics, Niko clearly needs to start from the ground up and there's no avoiding that... "Anyway, I guess you should meet me somewhere later right? Got one of those phone things? I can toss you a number if so."
The girl behind the counter would be somewhat confused by the two's conversation. They were using many terms she didn't understand. "Uh, shouldn't they naturally have some magic if they're a Lucier? I'm not really sure I get what you two are talking about. If they have some magic though they could easily focus it through a proper conduit if they have one that is."
Not quite how it works, and while Blake isn't sure on what Niko is... Well, he might have some kinda magic. "I don't know about magic, but uh I'm a Faunus, not a Lucier. We're more so oppressed than respected honestly. As for Niko I can only guess at what he'd be able to do with it, but I've got my thing and I'm good with it." She'd shrug and smile at the kid, hey this magic sounds crazy but she can't write anything off after coming here. "Anyway, I say give this magic thing a shot Niko. Who knows if you can use it or not, but there's only one way to find out."
Niko nervously chuckles again and smiles. "A chain scythe? Damn. Anyway, of course I have a phone." Magic? He didn't really have magic but... "I mean, if you want me to show you some sort of "magic" then I sure as hell can do. Don't kill me if the place gets a bit destroyed, though."

The girl would be confused by Niko's suggestion of magic. She would get up from behind the counter before pulling her knife back out and keeping it by her side. "Whatever magic you might have, just direct it at me. I'll be sure to block it no matter what it is!"
Niko unholsters his evoker. "Alright, don't say I didn't warn you." He puts the barrel of the evoker up to his head, finger on the trigger. "Persona." He pulls the trigger, the same mass of black tentacles appears afterwards. His clothes are slowly waving in nonexistent wind, his scarf blowing upwards. "Aaaaand, that's all I'll show you for now. Don't need any of you snitching what I can do to my opponent."
The girl would seem shocked by the strange creature that Niko seemed to summon with a gun-like device. She would immediately begin trying to get a better look at the entity. "Wait, you didn't tell me you could summon monsters. Are you using some kind of magic to influence that gun! You must be, there was another guy back at the HQ that could summon monsters like that too! Well, except he did it with cards instead."
Her blade returns to her back, quickly put away as the woman finishes off the last bits of her food. Upon seeing Niko's summoning, she'd grin a bit and whistle. "Huh, another Persona user? Not bad, but it won't get you through everything on its own." She'd pull out a napkin, god only knows why she has a pen but after writing down her number she'd pass it over to Niko. "Anyway, like I said I'll offer some help with basic swordplay and all... I'm sad to say that I can't help with shooting yourself in the head to summon monsters, that's a bit beyond my area of know-how."
Niko's persona disappears and he holsters his evoker. "Cards, huh? Persona 4 style I'm assuming? Ah, you wouldn't know." He takes the napkin. "Thank you, I'll make sure to call ya at some point if I need some training in swordplay. Now, it was fun, but I'd best be going." With that, he exits the cafe.
