Now that summer's around I aim to work on finishing Tales of Berseria with my sister, kinda a tradition of ours to go through these together, at least the first time. Will probably end up working to finish Digimon World Next Order and Hacker's Memory too. Especially since it'll be just me this weekend

Berseria was a fantastic game. It actually restored my faith in the Tales series. Right now I've been working on hacker's memory in my free time.

I've liked it overall, we're just at a point where, like, they're pretty much beating us over the head with the fact its a Zesteria prequel so that was kinda annoying. I've liked everything else so far. Especially Magilou, Magilou best girl. As for Hacker's Memory, I loved Cyber Sleuth so I'm wanting to get into it, but I'd feel kinda guilty if I did it before finishing Next Order, which is kinda a grind tbh

I woudln't feel guilty over that. Hacker's Memory is a direct expansion and new story to Cyber Sleuth, so it's only natural to play that next. I actually had to put Next Order down. The grinding got too real.

The worst part is like, I'm not even out of the first act and they're expecting Mega-ranked digimon from me. At least, I think. You would figure that if you can easily breeze through the previous area, then you're probably going to be fine in the next plot event. Cue Machinedramon one-shotting everything and tanking a dual-special like its no problem. Would probably be better if I could figure out how to get an angemon or gatomon so I can do my usual light/dark theme, but for now it seems like you just kinda have to guess and hope for the best

I didn't care for the extreme difficulty spike from one zone to the next. I'd have loved to explore, but realizing that leaving the first zone would jump the level gap by 30 levels kinda killed my sense of adventure. Even the original digimon world game wasn't this extreme with how badly it wanted you dead.

Drama related posts really shouldn't be on the phansite itself. The "I'm Done" scream is mostly for show, and no one wants to hear it. The next few posts could have provoked a large scale flame war, and quite frankly, that stuff needs to stay in a private setting, and away from the public eye. We are not here to feed someone's ego. Most of us are here to destress by avoiding reality =P

Exactly, like, it wouldn't be so bad if I built up over like, half the game. But now I'm just kinda left thinking "wait, so where would I even go after this?" Plus fighting is kiiinda useless for training overall, so there's really not too much to do but live in at town, going out every now and then to gather stuff to make it easier to get what you're looking for, mostly fish in my case to get more "mischevious" digimon. It might be a bit better if there was an actual incentive to face things, but for the most part there really isn't, and combat feels kinda barebones too

Okay! I felt bad, but I feel like roleplayers and the chat are on completely different worlds a lot of the time, and have not really gotten into the forum. I hope it works out, and wish everyone did just turn the drama nobs back down to about a 3.

I agree Miki. Which sadden me, as I really loved the first Digimon World game, and even beat that as a kid. This Next Order game just cranked it to the extreme, without realizing why the original system worked so well.

@Zippy For the most part the RP and Chat community really are two separate entities. There's even an RP hub on discord for the community to organize their phansite related exhibitions. There was a large calling for the RP to be murdered by the non-RP people int he beginning, but we laughed at those angry shit posters.

Wasn't fighting like the optimal way to train in Next Order? I know using the town alone wasn't enough to get through some of the tougher bits. As for the difficulty wall, it is pretty inexcusable. I've never played the other World games, but even I felt betrayed by how hard it was. Although my rose tinted glasses made it bearable some how.

I wouldn't be surprised if Next Order did have the difficulty spike it did, given how some areas of Re;Digitize went. Also I hate you people for owning Next Order and Hacker's Memory. I only have Cyber Sleuth out of the 'newer' games, but still trying to finish the Field Guide after finishing the story. Most of my time currently is spent watching Pretty Cure and playing 7th Dragon 2020 or something when I'm not trying to watch Persona -trinity soul- and find something to say about it.

This is my first Digimon World game, which I picked at a friend's suggestion. Turns out they had never actually played the game and suggested it because they were a digimon fan and heard it was pretty good from someone else. Funny how life works sometimes the RP hub wasn't really used to organize much, its just kinda a hangout place for them honestly. RP is a very much in the moment thing, which has resulted in like, 6 topics popping up at the exact same time, kinda like last night. If fighting's a good way to train, it doesn't get there for quite a while. Even facing the challenge enemies of an area barely gives any stat boosts, though it does help raise tamer rank, which will help the in-town training, and THUS overall help stats a bit

Can confirm, the RP Hub does little to no planning of anything. I joined it specifically to know when some RPs were planned since I kept being caught off guard by plot threads coming out of nowhere. Then I learned there was no planning ever and most people are about as caught off guard as I was.

All mods rule over all, but the all we rule over is less all than the all that is ruled over by Mishima.
