Akechi vs Adachi
Who do you think was better written character? They are similar in many ways.

For me it was def Adachi.
Nice job man! good opinion!
Adachi takes the cake. I loved their similarities, Akechi shares a line from P4 that mentions your teammates are just "Licking each others wounds."
I always hated Adachi. I hate Akechi too but he's better. slightly.
I gotta say Akechi. While I do love Adachi, I felt like Akechi had more depth to him. I get that the allure with Adachi is that he hates the world and that's pretty much all there is to it, yes its very cool. But I just felt that Akechi was more relatable.
Akechi is more sympathetic, but they're both pretty good villains.

It would actually be pretty interesting to see them interact
Adachi hands down.

Akechi is Diet Adachi.

Like I mentioned in another topic, with Adachi we were guessing who the true bad guy was until the end of the game, and he hid his position while being in plain sight extremely well. He was written well, and a very true adversary to Narukami.

Akechi, However, was a horrible attempt to do the Lightning in the Bottle that was Adachi. Akechi however, failed in every way, I found him bland, lame and recycled./ He was easily guessed as one of the main villains from an early standpoint of the game about half way through, then confirmed when he became a party member for Sae's Dungeon.

Overall he was a major disappointment to me as a persona Antagonist.
Akechi is better imo because he isn't a minor character that becomes a villian out of nowhere. Which is one of P4's worst habits.
Akechi is the person that ate once slice of pizza while my man Adachi ate the whole box
I prefer Abaqachi
Adachi so much
I prefer Adachi, but mind you, Akechi had more potential...

In the final battle, I imagined that Akechi was going to use his unique power to break the chains on hearts on the MC himself, which is what I imagined would create Satanael.

I mean, that would've been cool; Akechi makes a final outing in the endgame, helping the MC to fully realize their potential by casting psychosis on them.

Instead, he had a very abrupt, forced ending...

Adachi was allowed to fully flex his own potential, and even had the unique ability of directly summoning a persona straight out of his own brain.

Akechi's power was never used to the fullest in the plot.
Adachi is better written but MOTHMAN is the true villain!
Akechi because he actually had a backstory, motive, and sympathy. Adachi was just nuts and a terrible person. Villains you can sympathize with and that have potential to be redeemed are way better than the ones who are just purely bad.
I'll have to go with Akechi.
I think Adachi was way better executed, but Akechi was more sympathetic. I like them almost equally
I agree akochi for me is very relatable to people whosearch dads were never there for them and we're close/or in the foster system which brings sympathy and motive for his actions but I think adachi is more liked because he has a nihilistic world view that everyone doesn't like to see in themselves so they rather the manifestion of the extreme of that
i want adachi to choke me out an dshove me into a tv then laugh about it
Adachi is better. Akechi felt like a weaker villain compared to him, and I'm personally not fond of the whole "Freudian Excuse" trope.
Adachi is much more entertaining IMO, I still enjoy Akechi quite a bit but the traitor reveal for him felt a bit too sudden, and Adachi's more carefree attitude just makes me enjoy him more. Still, both are great.
Personally I'd go with Akechi since he only did the things he did to gain the approval of his father/get his revenge
I think Akechi had more depth as a character, but I think overall Adachi is better.
Akechi actually has writing. Adachi was a minor character they made a villian at the last second. Akechi takes the cake easily.
