A Really Sketchy Store
The GYM would sit peacefully as it always has with a new door freshly installed and nobody around to go to dangerous extremes in a friendly duel and end up destroying everything within a 4 mile radius. It would be an almost normal day for the GYM except right next to the GYM would be a store nobodies seen before. It almost looked like whatever buildings were in its way were moved over several meters somehow without disrupting much of the cities layout. It was as of whatever force had moved them knew exactly how to do so without disturbing anything. The new store next to the the GYM would have no windows and be made of a very plain generic looking material. There would only be a door and a sigh that only read: "SHOP" It seemed to be open regardless, almost waiting for new customers hungrily.
"SHOP, huh, seems interesting, so why not?" Alex walked into the SHOP, because shop.
A young girl wanders the streets, heading towards the GYM in fact... That is until she spots the odd new store, shrugging Homura walks into it with a curious look on her face. She can't help wondering what this place is about, or for that matter who the strange cloaked boy going into it is.
When he enters, Alex casts Fog Cloud on the room, just for fun.
Alex and Homura would seem much within. The shop itself seemed overly standard as if not even trying to be unique in any sort of way. There were no products however and the shop itself seemed smaller on the inside then the outside. Along the wall there'd be an intercom with a button next to it saying "press me". Below the intercom there'd also be a hatch that looked as though it could only be opened while closed on the other side. Finally, there was a sign on the wall as well: "Any desire for the right price. Just remember... All trades are final until they're not.
(edited by Persona)
Alex stumbles into the button, tripping on his own fog. "Whoops!"
A voice that could neither be called feminine nor masculine, energetic nor tired, happy nor sad would begin to speak. As plain as it sounded it would still be distinct enough to be called unique in some way. "Welcome to the domain of trade. This is SHOP. What is it that you desire to receive on this day? And what are you willing to give in exchange?"
"Okay.. Some sort of combat necromancy and I wil give a holy symbol, direct conduit." It caught Alex by surprise, but power is good and more would be better.
Homura follows the source of the voice, staring at it with her head tilted in confusion as she walks up. "So when you ask what people do you mean you'll sell anything?" Anything... Does this mean that he could even undo that which has been done, all trades final until they're not right? "So, if you can deal in anything... What I want's pretty simple, I want to stop being what I am. And start being human." This might just be the chance's she's looking for, even if someone's gotta deal with that stuff... She's sick of hunting just to stay alive. "I'll trade power, in exchange to take back lost humanity."
The voice would seem to be directed at Alex. "Very well, put the symbol into the hatch and I shall give you a combat neceomancy spell. I'll be giving the knowledge to you directly by storing it in a bottle for convenience sake." Finally, it would almost seem as if the voice changed when speaking to Homura. It would still have the same tone but would be distinctly different. "Trade your power for humanity. I can do that but the process will not be simple for your kind. The gem that holds your soul. I'll need to unbind your soul to it and return it to your body. It's within my power but it'll be...uncomfortable for you. You'll be soulless for a moment, after all."
A young girl would skip out into the streets, joyfully oblivious to her surroundings, the girl journeys along, excited with each new sight, each breath of fresh air. It took her a while to get over the initial appeal of the outside world, before long she found herself wandering into the GYM district, finally taking a short break by a wall. "I wonder where everyone is." The girl says, to no one in particular. After a brief pause she nods to herself, and heads over to the shop door, opening it up to see those inside. Oblivious to the situation, the girl cheerfully skips in and waves "There you are. See, we're not alone." The girl nods to herself, seemingly proud of this wonderful observation before finally noticing that everyone was busy with something. "What're you doing?"
Alex tried reassuring Homura as he dropped the symbol, saying, "It'l be fine, don't worry." The holy symbol was a post it note that exuded chaos energy and magic. He would also look behind him and say, "Greetings."
(edited by Alex_Liang)
Soulless for a moment huh, doesn't sound fun but all things considered, if this is real she doesn't feel like turning it down... "Alright, there are several other items I store inside an aspect of the power as well. Given they are not part of what I offer for sale, would it be possible to store in them something else? If so, consider the deal sealed..." The girl looks down at a ring with a purple gem on her finger, she can't help but feel a bit strange at the thought of losing that power. Even so, assuming the Dealer was willing to not make her go fetch boxes for weapons the girl would place the jewel which stores her soul inside the hatch for trade. Glancing towards Luna with a shocked look on her face as the girl appears from what feels like nowhere, though more likely Homura simply wasn't keeping aware. "O-oh, hello there. You startled me a bit... As for what's going, I guess this place is a store. I happen to be buying something, in an odd sort of trade anyways. How about you?"
The box would close shut with the items placed inside and their was silence. Behind the wall the gem would be floating in an unseen realm. The gem without being damaged would have Homura's soul pulled out while constantly being refueled to repair any damage the soul might take from the procedure. Homura might feel it as well, a burning feeling, like her skin was being melted away, until finally the soul was stored in a small bottle. A noise would sound from the hatch as it almost immediately opened. Three bottles would be found in the hatch. Two would have Homura's name on it, with one containing a wispy blue essence and the other being completely tinted black and cold to the touch. One bottle would have Alex's name on it. With many strange looking runes floating around inside.
"I've done as requested with you items stored inside the black bottle but I'll be taking your sheild as compensation considering that is a special bottle. An eternal bottle that will never break and can be reused even by human beings."
idk if it ain't late to join, so just tell me if it is a slight rumble could be felt right around the middle of the gym but not gym, but eh, we already know who it is, so, lets get it over with, anyways, rep would appear right around the not gym.... ''....this place feels different''
Alex took his and made a toast, though he's only twelve. "To Boldness!!" And then he drank it as fast as possible.
Umm... Hi? Luna stares at Alex for a moment, slightly confused. Alex would be able to sense some form of spirits around her, though he wouldn't be able to see their exact form just yet. The girl sort of stands there before looking off to the side, as though something caught her attention, before she nods and turns back to Homura, hugging her small, stuffed mouse tightly as she starts chattering excitedly I'm going on adventure. I wasn't able to find anyone to play with, but I did see this really tall building, oh, oh, and there were these little wooden platforms stretching onto a HUGE body of water. Then there were these really cool.... The girl's stomach growls, interrupting her train of thought as she looks down for a moment "I'm hungry." Luna glances off to one of the side, as though listening intently to something before smiling and saying "ok" "You're buying stuff, right? But... I don't see any....." That's when the girl finally notices the "push me" sign next to the weird machine. After a brief pause, she moves to get in line behind Alex and Homura
the snakipede would look around for a few, and then notice's: .....''oh shit....its a shop....wonder if they take stuff like ruby's and emeralds..''
She can't help screaming out in pain for a moment, even if the constant battles have left her used to horrible things. This is new to her even now. After taking a long moment to simply breathe and focus, the girl would reach down and take both bottles with her name on them. "Taking the shield? That's fine by me, I was prepared to trade that way just to put my soul back where it belongs..." A bottle which replaces her shield, useful considering what she's just done. Even so, she feels strangely lifeless... Ah yes, the girl opens the blue bottle holding her soul. Wondering how exactly to replace it, only for the thing to rush into her body, Homura herself smiling widely as she steps away from the hatch and waves at Luna. "Well, I'm sure that this fine being here could, in fact, sell you some food. But um, do be careful with you offer in exchange. They'll buy anything here or so it seems." With that, the girl turns back towards the Dealer with a curious look on her face. After all, she's gotta wonder about what being this even is. "Also, who are you anyway? I'm talking about you Mr. Shop Owner, and while I'm sure everyone's got some problem or another. I only really had the one, besides being curious about the kind of being that can casually do what you just did."
Still not being hit by the drink, Alex suddenly turns around and pulls out a brown paper bag from his cloak and says, "I gots jerky."
Alex would begin to feel the runes running down his throat as if they were a liquid. He could feel them shouting out unknown words while moving down his throat. The word would grow louder and louder until they would begin to make sense in his mind. Finally the bottle would smash into shards and the shards would dissapear without even touching anything. He could feel knowledge rush into him, vampiric knowledge. The ability to bind the soul of a vampire to an already living host. A way to grant them the powers a vampire might have without the curse. But also a warning flashed into mind, those young to a vampiric soul would become consumed by it on an attempt to survive if they got close to death. The voice would once again speak to Homura. It sounded a hit different now as if a certain emotion was building in its voice but it was unclear what that emotion was. "I can only answer so much about myself. There's a limit on what I can say under normal circumstances. I am a dealer with no name of my own but I hold the name of many others. I can offer almost anything but make no mistake when I day that I am limited in what I can make on a material and energy based level. I cannot make something abstract like a soul or idea but I can store and sell such things once I receive them."
"Ummmm.... OK." The girl doesn't really understand what's up with Homura's warning, but it doesn't matter much to her either. As she waits patiently in line, Alex catches her attention, Luna raises an eyebrow before turning her head to the air behind her and asking "what's jerky?" After a few brief seconds, Luna tilts her head a bit, before looking back to Alex and stepping a little closer "Alright, I'll try some. Just while I'm waiting."
Homura nods along, so this thing is bound by the contracts it deals in as much as anyone else is bound to the deals they make for it huh? Sounds like an annoying life to lead in many ways. "I see, well then... My name's Homura Akemi, I'll give that info, for whatever info on yourself it's worth. Though the name isn't for sale, just to be clear here." If something must be given, she'll give something minor and likely get something just as small in return. "Though, I guess I'm kinda curious about how exactly one becomes such a being... Or if it's not so much becoming one at all, and you've simply always been this way."
Alex noticed the spirits, but decided to talk about them later. "Jerky is.. dried strips of meat which is seasoned and this stuff ain't half bad." Alex gave Luna some and took some for himself. It tasted like a sweet and mildly spicy combination of steak and bacon, which isn't humanly possible, but delicious.
The voice seemed to almost be not expressive as it responded to Homura. It was as if it was almost...excited in some way. "Very well, Homura. Your request shall be granted. I am the very essence of exchange. I've always existed as long as the idea of trading has existed but 1,783,956 million years ago I was also granted a voice and will of my own. For a time I even had a body and could move freely throughout the world. A name, I remember a name as well but I can no longer speak that name. It no longer is in my possesion."
Alex says to Luna "What is your name anyway?"
Luna eyes the jerky suspiciously for a moment, before finally taking a bite into it. The girl slowly chews the jerky, before swallowing, still not quite sure how she feels about it overall. Its a weird mix of flavors, some of which are totally new to her, and overall a little bit much. Finally, the girl shrugs "Its alright." Luna comments before finishing off the jerky she was given. Its at least good enough to eat, and solves the hunger problem. Though she's still kinda curious about the shop, she doesn't have anything in mind that she wants, so instead she just cuddles her stuffed animal, a little of the jerky still at the corner of her mouth. When she's done with the jerky she looks back up to Alex "My name's Luna, its nice to meet you mister......." There's a long pause as Luna tries to recall his name... Though he's never actually said it so it'd probably be a while
Another person enters the STORE, carrying a backpack brimming with things almost flying out of it with every step, upon approaching the counter the man dumps the entire contents of the bag onto it, the things being put on said table were.. odd. Broken glasses, rotten food, empty cans, strange amalgamations of trash compacted, and oddly enough fish, but only one type of fish, shad. When all the items are down the man looks up and says only one word. Seeds.
Sold their very name off... She can't imagine doing such a thing as that, sounds entirely horrible really. The girl's face becomes a grimace as she stares over at the source of the voice. "I see, and I assume that getting another body for yourself wouldn't be a simple matter... Sounds kind of lonely to me, just buying and selling things constantly with little in between, then again. I'm just a human so even living that long would drive me mad easily..." She simply shakes her head and turns around, looking back to the g- no Luna she said her name was. And the one in a cloak. "Well then, I guess I should introduce myself to you two as well... Homura Akemi, and it's nice meeting you both!"
"The name's Alex, though there seems to be another presence around you. What is it?" Alex stared at the area around Luna rather than look straight at her/him?
What do you trade for passwords?
All the trash would be accepted and in exchange a small bottle would drop. The word seeds was listed on it and a overwhelming green light seemed to fill the bottle completely. "In exchange for passwords I offer bit coin."
"Nice to meet you. Can we be friends?" Luna smiles and holds her doll close to her face, cheerfully squeezing it as she looks expectantly at both Alex and Homura. At least, she does for a moment before Alex asks something that causes her to furrow her brow in confusion "A presence?" The girl briefly glances behind her, as though checking to be sure of something, before breathing a sigh of relief and turning back "Nope, nothing there. Just mother and father." Luna pretty much shakes off the question, looking back at Alex and Homura, as though she's still expecting something or another
The man takes the bottle and stares at it oddly, somewhat disappointed as to the size but shrugs and walks out, taking a look into the nearby garbage can and digging through it to grab whatever disgusting slop is inside to refill the trash he spent before walking away into the distance
"Yeah, we already are. Though those spirits, your mother and father you say? Are you by any chance a necromancer?" Alex would briefly look to Homura before looking Luna in the eye.
Niko enters the shop and takes some looks around. "Interesting place here." He ignores the others and decides to press the button.
Please help Amaya has me hostage in her basement
A voice that was distinctly different from the one before would respond to Niko. Its tone would have returned to its plain almost monotone state. "Welcome to the domain of trade. What do you desire? And what are you willing to bargain with?"
"A necri... Necron... Necra.. Necromancer?" Luna occasionally glances off to the side, as though making sure she was getting it right before proudly smiling at her little achievement. The girl holds her doll tightly and looks back at Alex "You use a lot of funny words. Can you say another weird thing for me?"
"Cthulhu Fhtagn."
(edited by Alex_Liang)
Niko scratches his chin... What he desires?... "I'm not too sure, but uh..." He unholsters his evoker. "What could I get for this here persona summoning apparatus?"
Right then, now seems a good time to leave this place... Alex is clearly a bit crazy, but hopefully not dangerous. "Well then, it's been nice meeting everyone but I'm going to head out for now!" With that, the magica- well no she can't call herself that anymore... As she walks out the doors and looks up to a building she'd generally leap onto, the girl smirks and a black Persona card takes shape in her hands. A being with a shadowy face that has no features appearing for an instant, a blast of wind sending her flying up before green light and inhuman speed cover her. The girl leaps from roof to roof, old habits die hard after all.
Alex casts Fog again and leaves, infact he needed to make more jerky.
The voice would seem to take a minute as if trying to look and figure out what Niko was referring to. After about a minute it would respond again. "For something that can summon Personas I can offer something that does away with them. Or perhaps for one summoning method, I can offer another."
Niko thinks this over... Another summoning method would be nice, after all, the evoker is draining. "What other methods can you offer me?"
Luna giggles and closes her eyes, apparently enjoying herself as she listens to Alex's funny talk.... Only to open them and realize both him and the other girl had went away. Luna briefly looks around "Um... Where did they go?" Luna walks out of the store, looking side to side and finding no one again, Luna sighs and begins walking on her way "Well, at least I made one friend, right mother, father?" of course you did Luna You're doing very well. Its too bad they had to go so soon "That's alright, I've always got you after all."
The voice would answer almost immediately as if the answer was already prepared. "Some methods are difficult to offer regularly without outside aid but I could offer you a card that emulates another summoning method, a code that would allow you to access an app to summon your persona, or a device that seems to be made based on the evokers method but further optimized to no longer suffer from any side effects called HOPED."
