I like the cinema aesthetic. Bringing Kotone to the mix is cool too. PQ1 set my expectations extremely low so there's no doubt to me this one will have some improvements. Still skeptical. Wake me up when the full version of that song is released.

As my man Akihiko once said: I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! In my honest opinion, I have high hopes for this one, especially with a few scenes that are in there. First of all, the asthetic is much more appealing than the weird school festival/stereotypical dungeon asthetic of the old game. The noir movie setting really interests me. Besides, my running theory is that no one will trust the PT at first, and vice versa, so here’s why: For why SEES and IT will hate them: 1. They’re vigilantes 2. They have, for all intents and purposes, working guns 3. The trailer shows off Caroline and Justine. The other attendants don’t know them apart, and only as Lavenza, so the other attendants won’t recognize them and tell their teams to be cautious around them. 4. The scene shown in the trailer of Joker and Yu fighting. For why the PT will probably hate them: 1. If it’s pre Sae arc, they’ll be wary of any persona users because of the black mask. 2. If it’s post Sae arc, they’ll be wary of Naoto and the IT because of their experience with the previous detective’s lies and misuse of the metaverse 3. Caroline and Justine may not remember their siblings. 4. The Joker/Yu fight. Also, FemC looks pretty pissed. Something to do with confusion with Minato as a leader and SEES possibly not remembering her in her eyes? We’ll have to wait and see. Please add some thoughts to my theories here, it was kinda spur of the moment thinking.

I, for one, welcome Persona 5 Goes to the Movies. But I'm going to have a terrible time trying to form a team of 5 out of these 22-25 characters. Though I did see a certain Pancake Boi missing from the trailer. Also shoutouts to my new favorite Aigis variant. :P And the awesome music. For real, though, I love the concept for this one. Because I assumed they'd take the path of least resistance and just use Culture Festivals again. Using the cheesy movie parodies that P5 started is a great design choice. And I'm already excited for the dinosaur labyrinth.

Ehhh bit of an unpopular statement but I'm pretty skeptical, I'm personally not a fan of the cinema aesthetic? But that's subjective. I'm personally not worried about the flanderization because I enjoy flanderized characters if they are done well. IE the flanderization is not their entire character, and if it is they can play it off for comedic value and not over use it. Gameplay is very scarce in the trailer, about 4 seconds at most. Which is strange, but I don't think they'll deviate too much from PQ1 so I think it'll be okay. FEMC is just a nice addition. Is oki. The only thing I really like from the trailer is perhaps the PT and IT could have conflicts and depending on which side you choose your fighting against them? That would be cool. Not sure how P3 is gonna fit into it though.

There might be conflict but one of the gameplay bits shows a party using all 3 MCs so it does seem like they will in the end team up. Also apparently people might have spotted Akechi in the gameplay snippet of Ann's backside.
