Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino
Greetings denizens of the Nexus. I am The Storyteller, a man chosen by Master Hikaru to provide interesting scenarios for those who show interest in partaking in my stories. Today is the first in a series of casual stories, taking place on the surface of our very own moon. Ladies and gentleman, I give you Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino! A massive and luxury hotel with a casino, spa, coffee lounge, ballroom, a myriad of 5 star restaurants (along with a smaller taqueria on the roof!), golf course, etc. I hope those who choose to partake in my story will enjoy themselves in this luxurious gathering.
Now then, let us begin the story!
The Storyteller snaps his fingers. A blinding light soon surrounds the immediate area. You are then transported to the middle of an open field facing a massive steam train. The train tracks seem to curve upwards after a few miles, with no more train tracks pointing towards the sky. The name of the train is written on the side, "The Fabulous Starlight Express 01. The Storyteller now takes on the guise of a train conductor
Conductor: ALL ABOARD! THE FABULOUS STARLIGHT EXPRESS WILL DEPART IN A FEW MINUTES! BE SURE TO BRING ANY AND ALL LUGGAGE WITH YOU, AND ANY CHILDREN ARE TO STAY CLOSE TO THEIR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS! PLEASE FILL UP THE SEATS IN AN ORDERLY MANNER AND AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTION FROM ON BOARD STAFF!
A young, blue-haired schoolgirl, with only a small bag to her name strolls onto the train, both arms behind her head. Though she tries to walk like its an everyday occurence, she can't hide the smile on her face, or the bounce in her step as she hops on and into the nearest available seat
First one!! Time for a little well deserved R and R.
A boy, one year shy of teenhood, runs onto the train, wonderstruck. He carries a leather backpack, made by human hands and plops it next to his seat.
A man of 17 walks up into the station, sporting his usual attire of black stared to walk into the train.
I wonder where this would take me!
Raiden said to himself taking the nearest seat he could find. However, this time he would not go alone. He smiled as his assistant (bunny) pops out of his hat.
This should be fun!

They would all go find a seat and sit down
Niko sighs as he goes onto the train, he has a backpack full of clothes and necessities, it's not a suitcase since he isn't planning on staying too long. Plus, why unpack a suitcase to pack it again?
"Alright, hopefully this goes fine."
He looks for an empty seat away from everyone.
As more people begin boarding the train, the conductor continues to yell at the top of his lungs
LAST CALL FOR ANYONE BOARDING! DON'T WORRY IF YOU MISS THIS TRAIN YOU MAY CATCH THE NEXT

ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH, THE TRAIN IS LAUNCHING! PLEASE STAND BACK!
Every door to the train shuts, the conductor moves to the front of the train and begins preparation for launch. As the guests sit in their seats, a voice can be heard on the train intercom[/i]
Good evening everyone, this is your pilot speaking. Please fasten your seat belts as we prepare to take off. If you are in need of assistance, feel free to press the assist button on the side of your seats, one of the train's robotic servants will come forward to serve you. All bathrooms are located in the back of your train car. Now then, thank you for riding on The Fabulous Starlight Express! Next stop, the Moon!
As the conductor finishes speaking to the passengers on board, a loud, bellowing whistle can be heard from the train's engine in the front. The train then begins to move at a slow pace, gradually picking up speed as it moves towards the ramp like structure at the end of the railway. As it approaches the end of the track, now moving at full speed, the train's wheel then transform into small, yet powerful jets. The train then lets out another whistle, and begins to launch into orbit. Soon, the train safely leaves Earth's orbit, setting a one way course towards the moon.
Conductor: Alright folks, we have now left the Earth's orbit. Feel free to move around the train as we approach our destination, and enjoy the view of the many stars in space!
Triss and her group would look out of their window and see the stars
Alex: Remember that time we fought that huge ball while we were in space
"That was last week"
Alex: I know but the stars reminded me of that
Triss sighs as she looks around and notices Sayaka before waving to her
"Hello"
Sayaka immediately scrambles in search of her seatbelt, a little panicked as she tries to remember anything about space launches. Fortunately she soon enough finds her seatbelt to put on and remain safely strapped in. Sayaka closes her eyes as the train launches, holding desperately onto her seat as the train lurches upwards. In a few moments, they're safely in orbit.... Well, safe from any train wrecks anyways, Sayaka immediately stumbles towards the bathroom, hand over her stomach and her face looking a little green, and closes the door. The scene within isn't pretty
Triss seeing Sayaka leave, she sighs before she went back to relaxing. Soon noticing Meg was asleep
"I swear she could sleep through pretty much everyone panicking that the world is ending"
Raiden stood up starstruck at the outer world of space.
How?When?What? I gotta tell Sorin!
Raiden pulled out his pulled out his phone to text but there was no signal.
Damn you T-Mobile, you failed me agin!
Well in any case Raiden leaned back in his chair staring out the window.
Several minutes later, Sayaka emerges from the bathroom, looking somewhat the worse for wear, but passable at least, the girl lets out a heavy sigh, sitting in the nearest available seat
"How do astronauts do this all the time?"
Erin would look at Sayaka
Erin: Um... well astronauts wear suits that help them when they fly up but also to help them breath. but mostly astronauts have very hard training to deal with the rockets push and such

Sayaka sighs, catching her breath for a moment as she looks at Erin out the corner of her eye
"That was a rhetorical question. I didn't actually want an answer.... Uh, thanks for the info though, I guess."
Sayaka shrugs, raising both arms out to her side as she gets used to the place fo a moment
The train still steadily passes through space. The conductor then begins speaking on the intercom once again. As he begins his small chatter, servant robots approach the guests with complimentary drinks.
Conductor: We will soon be approaching the moon ladies and gentleman. Our destination is on the surface of the moon, though we will be entering through a cavern dug by the construction team. While we wait, please enjoy the drinks, any food, and here's a song by the casino's own band, The Martini Police.
A smooth and calming song plays throughout the train, easing the trip to the moon, which is now in sight. A large casino can be seen on the moon's surface.
Alex would look at Triss and whispers
Alex: How much money do we have
"A lot"
Alex: good
Sayaka breathes a sigh of relief, gladly accepting her own drink, a fairly simple soda that's little more than carbonated water and begins drinking, in part to settle her stomach, and in part to pass the time. The girl leans back a little, and closes her eyes to relax this last bit of the trip
The group besides Meg accepts the drinks and they all smile as they know their about to have a good time here and with no fighting
"Ah, now this is the life that I didn't do anything for but still got anyway I deserve." Raiden sipping on his drink. "Well, I guess it's nice sometimes getting treated to some else's performance. Isn't that right Assistant?" He said as a bunny came out and took a drink and passed out on his lap. "Well... okay then."
The conductor once again begins speaking through the train intercom
Conductor: Ladies and gentleman we are now approaching our destination. Please remain seated as we approach our entrance. Thank you for riding with us and please enjoy your stay!
The train approaches the moon. As it circles around, the whistle blows once again, revealing an entrance on the side of a well dug out cave. The train enters the dark cave, aligning itself with tracks located inside the cave. The train begins another steady upward climb, and soon ascends outside of the cave and on the actual moon's surface, following the tracks towards the entrance of the casino. As the train travels closer to the entrance, it begins to slow down. The massive structure looks even bigger in person! The train then stops at the casino entrance. Stepping out of the train, you see two massive doors and a huge sign on top reading "TRANQUILITY BASE HOTEL + CASINO" You then enter the door and are greeted by the hotel doorman. At the front desk you see a young man eagerly at work. It seems as if he's the only human other than the hotel guests, in fact, every bellboy, servant, and even the doorman are robots! You approach the front desk to check in. The man greets you
Receptionist: Hello and good evening. Are you all checking in?
Triss would nod for her group... also Meg was awake now
"Yeah"
Very well then, your names please?
(OOC: gonna go to bed now, I'll pick this back up tomorrow around 10 EST. See you guys then!)
"I'm triss"
Alex: I'm alex
Erin: I'm Erin
Meg: and i'm meg
Great! Welcome to our hotel! Here are your room keys
The receptionist hands them a set of keycards. In the middle of the key cards, there is a small yet noticeable button
If are in need of any assistance, please feel free to press that button. Your personal robotic servants will aid you with anything you need.
Triss and her group smiles
"ok and thank you"
Triss said before her group starts walking to their room
Raiden walks up.
"Hello, the names Genesis, Raiden Genesis. Floudre Magican himself! I believe I have a room here?"
Raiden smirks still holding his unconscious bunny.
Yes! Here is your card key! Don't forget to check out our other locations as well! We have so much to do here other than just the casino! We've got the spa and resort, the cafe, the plethora of restaurants, and the newly added Galactic Amusement Park!
Triss's group makes it to their rooms
*The receptionist patiently waits by his desk for new arrivals*
Yes, everything is going smoothly today. I do believe I've earned myself a break
Niko approaches the front desk and sighs.
"I'd like to check in, please."
*The receptionist gladly checks him in*
Very well sir, our bots will help you with any luggage. Please, when you make yourself at home, do come take a look at our other attractions as well!
Niko looks surprised.
"Huh, you asked the other people their names but you just straight up check me in no questions asked? I'm not sure whether to be confused or thankful."
The receptionist gives Niko a cheeky smile
We try to speed things up to make sure you are in your room and enjoying the resort in an expeditious matter, meaning sometimes we tend to skip names. Not a problem, you see these key cards serve not only as a key and a means to call your personal robotic servant, but also analyzes your mood and personality with a simple touch, ensuring we have a room that meets your needs. Technology of the future, you might say. You check in, the hotel itself generates a room based on your wants and need, to keep our guests satisfied of course.
Niko nods.
"I see... Well, I'll be off then. If you ever need me to tell you my name, just ask me I guess."
He wanders around the place aimlessly. He'll go to his room later.

A robotic servant appears behind Niko
IT SEEMS I AM ASSIGNED TO YOU....MAY I PLEASE KNOW YOUR NAME?
Niko nods.
"My name is Niko.... I don't suppose you'll need a last name?"
The robotic servant pauses for a second, accessing guest databases
MULTIPLE NIKOS DETECTED....PLEASA STATE YOUR LAST NAME
Niko sweats.
"Ah, alright, hold up."
Hmm, Veon? No, that's too stupid... Amamiya? No, that's not good either... How about Narukami? Good enough... Wait no, why not...
"Niijima. My last name is Niijima."
the servant begins to register Niko’s information

A woman dressed in formal clothes enters the immediate era. She seemed to wary of the environment, and especially of those in the immediate area. She seemed wary of her immediate surrounding. Everything around about this place was suspicious, and reminded her of another time before she imagined a world must like this in her own mind...
She approached the desk, her former anxious expression being replaced by a smile. It was a plastic smile, often worn by those in business. She held a single briefcase, but who knows what was in it. She took a brief minute to pick a role for herself; she wouldn't get anywhere if the host knew she was here as a Metaverse investigator. After taking a moment, she looked towards the servant.
Hello. I am Sae Niijima. I am a journalist working for Tokyo Today; a large event is happening today and I have been asked to write a story on it. May I be permitted entry?
Niko starts sweating bullets as he sees Sae. He mutters to himself.
"Alright, as long as nothing states your name or anything, you should be fine..."
The receptionist smiles at Sae
Sure, may I have your name for your room?
Triss and her group enters their room. Meg went to the bed and fell asleep
Triss would put her bag down, soon taking a book out, she went to the chair and sat down
Erin would just start tinkering with her drone
Alex would start stretching her body. Getting ready to have a good time
Sae Niijima. It is a privilege to attend this commendable event.
She was formal, practical, the ideal businesswoman, but behind her intentions were something else, which anyone with a particular perception could sense.
The receptionist gives Sae her room badge
It's very nice to have you, please make yourself at home Ms. Nijima, and enjoy your stay.
As a robotic assistant approaches Sae, The receptionist then gives a curious look at her
Say, my databases show another Nijima here. Probably none of my business, but maybe it's a relative of yours?
The receptionist rings Triss' room
Hello. This is Mark, the receptionist. This is a courtesy call reminding you that our open bath is now ready for use. Relax yourself with a warm herbal bath and a glass ceiling with the perfect view of the many stars in space. Enjoy!
Hmm? could it be...?
Sae's mind wondered as she took her room badge. Was Makoto here? if so, why...? There's no one else around in her family line. Unless someone was plotting against her. Sae glanced aside, giving a skeptical look before smiling warmly back at the receptionist.
I do have relatives, but I had not come expecting family company. This is quite the coincidence. Perhaps I may have their room number so that I may visit and catch up with them?
Niko quickly escapes to his room without listening to whatever they were talking about.
"Alright, hopefully she doesn't find out."
I wish I could, but I cannot give that information. That would be up to my manager, who is away from his office at the time being. He's in the middle of an important business meeting regarding our expansion to Mars, so maybe some other time?
The receptionist gives her a disappointing look. He would have loved to see a family reunion, but alas, he cannot give that information out without word from the hotel manager.
Though if you would like, I can possibly give you a ring in your room if we can ever disclose that information?
I understand, you have your business policy. If chance may have it, I will meet them on my own. Thank you for your time.
Sae carries her briefcase towards her assigned room, passing by Niko like he was not even there. He had gotten away with his facade. For now.
"Oh, Well guess I know were i'm going next"
I kinda want for Triss and Sae to meet
The receptionist rings Niko's room
Good afternoon, this is Mark, the receptionist. This is a courtesy call letting you know the galactic amusement park has now added a new zero gravity center. Experience the feeling of floating through space! comes with a jetpack to navigate. Just take the elevator in the main lobby, the one going downwards. Enjoy!
Niko ponders it.
"Sounds interesting, but it's probably not my thing."
He goes over and lays on the bed, putting his phone next to him.
"Music sounds good, though."
Niko plays music from his phone. It's something about blessing the rains or something like that.
The receptionist suggests an alternative
In that case, you can check out our show room where the hotel's private band, The Martini Police are playing their set. Relaxing music, set to immerse you in the world of outer space
Niko pauses the music.
"That sounds good, I guess."
He grabs his phone and heads over to the show room.
The receptionist rings Sae's room next.
Good afternoon, this is the receptionist, Mark. This is a courtesy call letting you know our open bath and showroom are now open! Enjoy a nice herbal bath underneath the stars, or enjoy a live performance by our very own band, The Martini Police, with a new sound set to immerse you in the beauty and fantasy of outer space! Enjoy!
