An Empty Mall
Off the street of a train station, there existed a construction site for a few days now, the locals speculated what it exactly was, and as the days drew on it was quickly becoming apparent it was a 1 story mall, advertising all the things you would find in one. Food, clothes and other amenities! However as it opens for its first day the area around it is oddly quiet, the parking lot empty, and the glass front doors leading into an empty lobby with the local mascot, an anthropomorphic raccoon greeting nobody. However the lobby seems to have 3 corridors leading from it, one forward, one to the left, and one to the right. What lies inside is a mystery.

As the detective (Presumably) enters the mall and (Presumably) walks into the lobby, the speakers click and music begins to play off in the distance

Johnathon enters the mall and looks around the lobby before noticing the mascot. He then notices the three pathways, however, he just seems to wander around the lobby for a bit.
So, this is what the locals call a mall? It seems, kinda empty. I heard they were supposed to be bustling centers of activity. I guess I’ll just see what stores are here in the lobby.
He scans the names of the stores in the lobby all while walking around, making sure not to go down any corridors yet.

Rumors of a place that one is quite sure on the purpose of abound, and where rumors go the man in t-shirt and jeans follows. He'd step out of a train with a phone in his hands.
"I just wonder... Maybe I can find some answers as to how I got here by checking into this place, or at least something else worth knowing about."
His eyes gleam with curiosity as he begins to enter the building, and after reaching the lobby he'd quickly keep walking forward. Phone held high as he looks around, wondering what exactly might be found within this dark and empty building.
Niko enters the mall, walking past the mascot without a glance. Upon hearing the music when walking in, he fingerguns at the nearest speaker or some other audio device that's playing the music.
"Good music choice."
He takes the time to decide what corridor he wants to walk down.
A woman would walk into the mall. Her boyishly short hair and naturally intimidating eyes made her seem like a delinquent. She wore leather punk like attire with numerous tattoos and piercings on her body that seemed to ruin her feminine beauty. She would look around at the desolate lobby, originally hoping to find some new inspiration for her art and maybe even better deals on ink for her tattoo shop but the silence that greeted her told her this wasn't going to be a normal shopping day at a new mall. She would see the three paths and decide to take the left one.
'Let's hope this isn't some supernatural bullshit. I just want peace on my days off." the woman tentatively referred to as 33 would say to herself
(Starts nodding his head to the music)

(Sees the other people walk in)

The lobby is quite empty in terms of stores, there are simply decorations around the walls, it looks like the architect was going for a city design as the walls are lined with pictures of skyscrapers and the blue sky, other then that though there is nothing of interest
As prometheus goes down the first corridor, he finds himself at the food court, the walls lined with little outcroppings with cash registers and empty boards advertising the empty menus, there is however a drinks machine in the corner. Leading off of the food court however is a small alley directly in front, and two more corridors to the left and right
As 33 heads to the left she is greeted by another room in the shape of an L, a store called "Ledge" takes up the entire wall, glass windows peer into the store mainly selling jeans and the like. Oddly enough though there are no mannequins. At the top of the L lies another corridor if she wishes to keep moving.
Johnathon looks, appalled. He’s clearly shaking his head in disgust.
No blacksmiths? Where am I supposed to get my sword sharpened? And this music choice, it disturbs me. Even if our king was an ass, at least our music was good.
Still appalled Johnathon walks down the left corridor, alone, while also keeping an eye out for anything odd. Or at least a jukebox to play some better music.
Wow you two are lucky let me see if I can find a alley myself

Yuzu enters the mall, however instead of thinking about the possible danger she simply heads in without a second thought
“Wow there’s a mall all the way out here!? Okay, now I’m excited! Let’s go!â€
She runs in and immediately heads down the right corridor
*Kai enters the mall. He looks around and is slightly annoyed that no-one was here.*
Is this place really empty? There has to be some shop around here that sells clothes or some shit like that.
*With a sigh, Kai starts heading deeper into the mall.*
Star enters the mall and looks around.
Well, this place is empty...I wonder if it has anything to steal? It must if it isn't covered with graffiti already. Let's see...moe, shmoe, middle path I shall go!
Star runs down the forward path.
33 would be looking through the glass at the jeans, taking note of a pair of jeans she actually liked. She continued down the corridor to see what else this mall had to offer though she started feeling like the place was opened earlier than planned.

Star looks at the detective.
Wait...how do you know my name? I don't think I've met you...or have I, and I just forgot? I have got to keep a list of the people I know in this crazy world...wait, you're not a cop, are you? Because if you are, I totally wasn't going to loot the mall of everything it has and not pay for it. Not after last time!
As Jonathan heads down the left corridor, he is met with the Ledge store as previously mentioned in the L shaped room, nothing has changed in the few moments that have passed
As the detective tries to scan, he gets a clash of feedback, loud groaning rings in his ears as he gets visions of a heaps and heaps of flesh bound together loosely, spoopy
As Yuzu runs down the right corridor, she runs into a Game Stop store, the bright red logo across the corridor mirroring the other side of the Mall, looking through the window she can see a glimpse of the brand new VR tech to hit the market at the back of the store. However if she wishes to move on the corridor continues upward
As Kai enters the Mall he runs into a wall at the lobby! Need a direction if you wish to move in!
As Star enters the building she goes forward and meets up with Prometheus in the empty food court, while there are tables and chairs, the interesting things are the tiny alley just ahead, the drinks machine, or the two corridors
As 33 moves forward into the Mall, she hits another corner, this time the store seems to be a place called "xx's Armoury" the name seems to be rubbed off though, anyhow it features heavy iron doors and walls, so it's impossible to see what's inside, it does seem to be open though? However if it is not up to 33's liking, she can turn right and go into the food court.
Meanwhile the current song ends as the new one clicks in, this one alot more ominous...

Niko glares at the detective.
"Yeah, definitely not gonna stick with you, you give off some "white van that has "free candy" spray painted on the sides" vibes."
He goes down the forward corridor.
33 looked over the large doors with a hand on her chin. A small smile on her face.
"Have to admit, kinda like the retro style. Well, nothing to do but see what they sell." she said as she pushed the doors open and walked inside
Johnathon sees the store, but doesn’t really concern himself with getting new pants, as he’s kinda low on funds at the moment. Instead, he takes a minute to listen to the new music. Sadly he doesn’t get what the song implies due to not knowing how to use the internet. But he does think it sounds better than the last song.[/i
Alright, something better, not great but better. Although honestly this place gives me the creeps. Why am I talking to myself again? Guess I’m crazy.
[i]After admitting he’s crazy, Johnathon continues to head down the hall, looking at the other stores while a chill runs down his back. At some point he noticed that his hand had gone to the hilt of his blade, almost as if he sensed something wrong.

Yuzu eyes the VR tech from the other side of the window
“I’ve wanted to try this since the moment it was announced! It always seemed like so much fun but I just never had the time for it. Well... no time like the present.â€
She rushes inside the GameStop and heads straight for the new tech
Johnathon notices the armory and decides to check it out. He opens the door and walks in, not knowing what to expect.
“Hey! Is there anyone here who knows how to sharpen a sword? I have it on me if you need to look at it.â€
He calmly waits for a response.
Huh...a food court...and a strange alley...this totally isn't a trap and I'm definitely not going to get shanked or drugged.
Star takes a look at the tiny alley, moving into it slowly.
(Walks past the armory......then walks back)
There’s an armory?! Sweet I’ve been needing to get a shotgun
(Runs to the nearest pump shotgun)
Mara walks into to the now Desolate Mall. Not her intended destination but considering she was highly behind schedule and need to catch up either her contracted work she can’t be a begger so she enters.
“After that bloody campus trip I don’t see how this could be any worse...â€
Prommie would shrug and begin walking after Star, since it seems they'll be working with each other for a moment he does have to ask that question... Well maybe not, it can wait right. Instead he simply keeps going and shrugs at her.
"So, what brought you in here lady? Oh, by the way, call me Prometheus if ya need a name."
A short, somewhat plumpy catgirl enters the abandoned mall, glancing her red eyes about. She gives a peculiar look, her ears twitching as if giving disapproval to the music being played...
Seriously? Atleast play Nirvana or something...
She proceeded forward the direction of the armory. She herself wasn't quite sure where she was going.
Economy really sucks in this place if this big of a place is mostly unused. Besides whoever has the bad taste in music.
Kai luckily chose right if he looking for clothes! He enters the lefr which contains the Ledge store, stocking clothes and jeans, however further up from that room is the heavily armoured Armoury though!
As Niko heads up he enters the food court, drink machine, empty restaurants and an odd alley way for all to see! However if that doesn't hold his attention, the Armoury lies to the left and one more unknown room
As 33 pushes through the iron doors, it scrapes across the floor and creates a horrid screaching noise for everyone to hear, if anybody was here they would hear it! Inside though weapons line the walls, guns, swords knives and spears, anything you can think of that causes harm and can be wielded is most likely there. There is also a back room begging to be searched with no one around to guard it.
As Jon continues down, he is met with the screaming iron doors of the Armoury! Perhaps this would be to his liking? If not the food court is just to his left!
As Yuzu enters the store, she beelines for the tech and it boots up when she's near, if she chooses to strap it on it seems a game is already loaded up, League of FortG Global Dew Valley Featuring Evolt from the Kamen Rider series! A battle royale fighting game that scans the area your in, fighting in Augmented Virtual Reality! Utilizing the new software Sany Turbo Ultra Pile Incredible Drivers!
As Star enters the alley she spies a small door with the padlock on it torn off, it also has wires connecting a power box with most of them cut out, seems to be a service tunnel that someone broke into, however what could lay past the door?
I suppose the good detective picks up a shot gun, didn't know detectives carried weapons :me:
Another song clicks in, for some reason it sends a chill down your spine, as the song plays the lights begin to flicker on and off

Local angsty cat joins the Mall! She ends up at the Armoury with an odd man and woman called 33, the man yelling about a sword as the woman pushes an iron door making a screeching sound

Johnathon draws his blade while searching the armory, the music and the lights flickering seem to be somewhat supernatural. As he searches he finds the back room, he opens the door and peaks inside, this time smartly deciding to be quiet.
Hmm... Nah, I think the idiot would hate me if I got something he didn't have a hand in. Still, maybe when I'm done I can have a look. RIght now it's down to business.
*Kai heads into the clothes store.*
Let's see... Stupid red dress... Ugh. I hate when Em has me buy her clothes.
Star turns to Prometheus.
Oh, you know. Buying clothes, eating mall food, purchasing parts for weapons of mass destruction... usual stuff. When I saw that nobody was around, I thought I could loot the place, but now people are coming in, so I'll probably be stopped. Now I'm just curious as to what could possibly be going on here. My guess so far is that this place is either haunted, or something else decided it would play with the people in here... mostly banking on the ghost idea right now.
Star turns back to the service entrance and steps through the door, looking around.
Niko shrugs.
"Well that was pointless."
He decides to head toward the armory as the sound of the wiipole plays in the background.
"Seriously? This song?"
Mara looks between all three pathways and gives out a sigh before scratching her head.
“Seriously no Map? Not even a tour guide? Alright fine I can mentally note where I go and back just gotta focus and not get disctracted...Er let’s start by going upwards!â€
Mara decides by first taking the path upwards and makes a mental note as she does for her sake.

After realizing what game was ready to be played, Yuzu became even more excited
“I can’t believe it! They even have the exact game that I wanted to try out!â€
Just as Yuzu gets ready to try out the game she relaxes just long enough to actually listen to the music that she had been mostly drowning out and it made her slightly uneasy. She started to realize that this mall was actually pretty suspicious and she left the GameStop to head elsewhere in the mall.
“What kind of music is this even supposed to be?â€
The detective steals a shotgun! Although the others are practically stealing as well though so eh!
Jon searches the back room, it's dark and dank, but nobody is there, it simply holds various prototypes for weapons, 3 lay there at the current moment, a katana with various runes written across the blade, a golden handle with multiple buttons, vials and a hulking battery on the side, last but not least there lies a chainsaw strapped to the barrel of a minigun, pretty normal stuff.
As Kai searches the store for a dress, he can notice that the back door seems to be damaged, giant scratch marks lay across it. Perhaps something is on the other side?
As Prometheus and Star enters the room in the alley, they notice first that it's oddly small, just 2m wide and 2m long, even more odd is that there's a person inside watching what appears to be cameras, what is even more odd though is the shape of their body. It seems to be made of... Ovals..?
As the sound of the mii music blasts, Niko walks to the Armoury! There are currently 3 people inside, a cat, the detective, Jon and 33.
As Mara heads forward, they enter the food court! Various empty stalls and a drink machine wait to fill people up! The small alleyway with Star and Prometheus also exist though.
Johnathon turns around and looks at everyone in the store, kinda forgetting he’s holding his sword still.
Oh, hey, who are you people?
He eyes the cat people suspiciously, as if he’s trying to figure out what they are.
You don’t seem like demons.
Star pulls out her handy dandy Black Ice buster sword and walks over to the cameras.
So... anything fun to watch on these?

Niko enters the armory, spotting Mae. Damn, this multiverse just blesses him with waifus, doesn't it? He ignores Johnathon.
"Alright... Time to do my magic."
He approaches Mae.
"Hey there, beautiful."
Mara immediately takes note of the drink machine and runs over to it and orders two bottle of her favourite soda brand Island Soda now running for only 1.99$ order yours today! After she grabs them and stuff them in her bag she was lugging on her. She tries to then approach the ally way and follow Star, another person here about time she was beginning to think she walked into this place all by herself but perhaps they can explain something going on.
“Uh hey! Excuse me mate! Hey uh can you explain what’s going on here and why it’s so desolate....hey wait up!â€
Mara tries to approach Star and the odd room she entered but won’t fully notice what happening in that room yet.

As Yuzu, my apologies leaves the store, she has two options as to where to go. Forward back to the lobby, or to her right. The choice is hers!

The job of a Nameless Nobody is never done.
A person made of ovals, how fucking weird. Time to do what he does best then. He'd begin typing away on his phone for a moment, followed up by chanting in some strange language for a moment. Meaning unknown to all but him, magic being weaved to shatter attempts at lying to him. Though not sadly, to show the truth below it. With that done, he'd speak to the person in front of him.
"Are you human, yes or no question and I'm curious what the answer might be!"
I'm not a demon. I'm totally a normal person.
Kinda used to try suances with the occult club in high school but that's unrelated.

Mae meets Niko and his blatant flirting attempt with an amused smile. She payed special attention to his ears and tail. He was the most normal looking person to her so far. Why not?

"Now that you mention it, I did do that once."
He smiles.
"Anyway, my name is Niko, what's yours, good lookin'?"
As Star and Prometheus speak to the oval person they turn around slowly, instead of a real face, their face is made of lines and circles, like a child drew them on. As it struggles to speak, it opens its mouth but no sound comes out. You can tell what it's trying to say though. "This Cannot Continue". On the cameras, Star can see that thousands of people like the one in front of her are on the screen, all staring at the camara, repeating the same thing with their mouths. Silently screaming. "This Cannot Continue."
As Kai checks out the room, it's dark but the light from their axe shows that there are multiple naked mannequins strewn around.. How strange.
As the others socialize, the music suddenly stops. Before cutting in again, this time with a low groaning in the back drop...

Yuzu decides to head back to the lobby to possibly head somewhere else and we more of what was in the mall

After reaching the lobby, Yuzu decides to move down the corridor on the left this time
Johnathon takes that as a cue to get up and leave the mall, he quickly runs out of the armory, past the pants store, ignores the raccoon mascot, and leaves. He’s had enough spooky stuff for one night.
Mae smiled at Mr. Detective in a chuuni sorta way.
Oh, on a secret mission huh? Glad I didn't give out my full name.
Mae is amused by Niko and lets out a rare chuckle as she winks at him.
Names Mae, I came for free shit. Didn't expect a fling with another cat, but I'm not against the notion.
Hearing a familiar, unwanted tune, Maes disposition dropped quickly.
Whoever is behind the music in this place is so fucking dead.
...oh...so it was aliens! Well that's definitely new! But seriously, I have no idea what these guys mean by things not continuing. If I could get a bit more context, that would be swell!
Star looks at the oval being as she asks for context.
Niko taps his chin.
"Free shit? Free as in free?"
Then he gets a smug look.
"Or free as in you'll steal stuff and beat the shit out of people that try to stop you?"

Mara joins Star and Prometheus as they try to investigate the odd oval people and their silent chanting message.

Yuzu ends up at the Ledge, eyeing a man in red investigate a room in the store. She can also see a multitude of people gathering in an iron room just ahead, she did spy a trail of blood leading to the food court though..
Jonathan is out, however as he leaves there is a trail of blood leading from the lobby to the food court...
Kai burns the mannequins! Oh well, whatever use they had has gone up in flames. What is next for our pyromaniac though?
As the scooby gang in the closet try to talk to the oval person, they continue speaking the same thing, getting louder and louder each time, in tune with the odd groaning getting louder as well. "THIS CANNOT CONTINUE."
The peeps in the Armoury continue to discuss, however Mae of all people notice a blob in her peripheral vision at the food court, hard to tell exactly what it is from this view point though.
The music gets worse and worse.. A creeping feeling comes up, as if something beyond the mortal realm is in play here...

Mara tries to wave at the Oval person to try and snap it out. She soon gives up and just tries to tamper with the camera system for the time being to figure something out.
Prommie stares it down with a look of disgust, whatever this thing is it's obviously something supernatural. That mean's he's gotta be careful here, in fact... Of course that woman is waving a fucking sword around, what even is this place. It's weird even to him and that's saying quite a bit.
"Okay, why do you have a sword lady? I mean granted I'm not the best judge of normal, but I'm still pretty sure that's not normal. Also, don't you think this thing likely can't speak properly... Maybe I need to try and do a bit of spellwork... But, not sure it'd work out well so let's save that for now."
Oh yeah, forgot to mention Niko's current outfit. With the weather cooling, he's decided to put on his scarf again. Oh, he's also wearing the same shirt as Mae for the autumn theme. Don't judge him.
"Y'know, I've never tried stealing anything, so I'd be up for it. And as for the "beating me up" thing, I'd probably not..."
He smirks.

Mae seems to be taken in by Niko's charms, that is... until she sees something odd in the corner of her eye, which she points at.
Uhh, not to break the mood or anything, but Flubber is alive.
Why do I have a sword? Because I usually have to use it! Seriously, this place is screwed up pretty dang crazily. You've got heros and villains from across the multiverse, the only thing to expect from them showing up is mass chaos about every other day. And I, being the goddess of insanity and chaos, usually have to contain the damage.

He starts to look over to the general area of where Mae is pointing, he's not sure what to expect, but hopefully it'll be interesting.
As Kai destroys the speaker the song still plays. It's not on the speakers. It's playing in your head. It must stop. It can't continue like this. This. Cannot. Continue.
Mara tampers with the cameras and gets to see a playback of the past day! The video plays and there are people happily shopping, then people drop to their knees holding their head, as their body contorts into ovals, then they all get torn to bits off camera. Blood is everywhere. Then it cuts and static remains.
As Mae focuses in on the blob, it's already gone, but what's left behind... There are arms, legs and bits of flesh all over, blood blood and blood. It leads into the alleyway...A
s Star threatens the oval, it simply screams louder. Louder and louder until it stops suddenly. The groaning at its peak volume. Obnoxiously loud. If the scooby gang turned around they would see the source of the groaning. A flesh monstrosity, bodies thrown together and bound with intestines and rope, any thing resembling human dangling off of it, ovals covered in blood with mannequin heads staring forward, falling apart as blood drips from it, painting the floor red. As it groans one last time, it opens a cavity as a long flesh bit shoots out and grabs the oval person, slamming it against the beast as it begins to sink into it, silently screaming as it's torn into bits to be a part of the monstrosity.
As time drones on the music gets louder, and louder, and louder, your head begins to throb with pain. Make it stop. Make it stop.
(Looks where Mae is pointing at)

Mara the quickly notices the beast and panics as the event folds out.

Star puts her Madness Gauntlet on as she spins Black Ice around as she gets ready for a fight.
He nods at Mae.

Mara pulls out her own gauntlets that she made in her spare time marked with some sort metal alloy, electric charged, and a nifty grapple extension as well. She also pulls out her bamboo staff modified to work alongside with her gauntlet. She seems have been rather busy on her time off making herself more powerful.
“Besides I need to try out my contraptions gotta see how far I can push myself so thing it on!â€
Prometheus stares the thing down for a moment, he's chatting away and typing complex programs into his phone in a blur even as it first appears. No time to waste, and in moments the spell he's aiming for would with any luck take effect right as he pulls out... An air horn, pointing it towards his foe the ear-shattering sound would in moments turn into a dazzling display of lightning that rushes towards the enemy.
"Heh, I may not look like much but I don't need weapons to do some damage lady! Now then, let's see how this thing likes a taste of my Awakened will."

The beast stares down Mara, smacking it's tounge like appendage against it's orfice, smiling somehow by contorting the muscles and flesh.
Seeing Star hesitate it begins its assault! Lashing out it's flesh tounge and attempting to grab Mara and slam it against it's body, trying to coat them in the blood that's being leaked
Luckily Prometheus shocked the beast! Electricity flows through its body as smoke begins to fly off of it. However it conducts through the blood, it still tries to grab Mara though!
As Kai tries to ignore the music, it only hurts him more, his vision blurring. Mind getting fuzzy, it's harder to focus on any task other then walking.
As the catto squad hangs around, their headaches get worse too, their eyes refusing to look away from the blood as it starts sparking bolts of electricity everywhere, a voice in their heads telling them to stop, to simply stop, stop everything. Lay on the floor and be meat. Stop living. Cease breathing.
Mae's eyes widen as the detective pulls out his pistols, in response she pulls out a bat from seemingly nowhere and lets out an especially feminine, exaggerated voice.

It's then that she begins to feel a peculiar sensation... One she hasn't felt in a long time. It doesn't feel too good, to say the least.

She starts to hold her head with one hand, gripping the bat tightly. She seemed just a little unstable.
Niko holds his head. The pain...
"Mae.... We should probably just start leaving this place now..."
He leaves the armory and starts heading toward the exit.

Star runs in and punches the beast with her gauntlet, absorbing a small bit of it into the gauntlet as she starts slashing at it with Black Ice in her other hand. The gauntlet processes the small chunk it gained from the beast, working out what abilities the beast has.
(Sees what is happening to the cattos)
Well shoot I got to get you two to safety
(Puts up his duel pistols and puts on earplugs and starts taking the cattos out of the mall while there is still time)

Mara’s Gauntlets charge up conducting a electrical shock which transfers to her staff making it blazing with a electrical surge and takes a full upswing bat at the beast before jabbing at it with some shocks to fend it off from grabbing her.
“It’s frisky alright but keep wailing on the bugger we need to try and assses it as quick as possible you two hear me?!â€

Way ahead of you, Mara! This gauntlet I got is the absolute best thing I ever won! I love how customizable it is! Point is, I'm working out what it's main abilities are using my gauntlet!

*Kai cracks his neck. Dispelling his axe, flames start to cover his body. They soon vanish, leaving only cracks across his entire body. The crackling of flames pierced his mind, dulling the sound and the effects from the music*

More typing, and a quick scribbling of some runes on the wall beside him as another spell takes hold. Namely the lighting he had conjured up would now rush towards his foe and aim to stay there, along with growth in power a great deal.
"Phew... Didn't expect to do this much spell casting so quickly. I can't make Imagos forever, so if we could end this fast that'd go great!"
An average height, Japanese teenager with big poofy bright hair was walking inside of the empty mall because he heard a couple of civilians outside saying they heard some dangerous noises from it. He ran inside into the armory from where he heard the noises. He ran in and saw the monster attacking the others. His "normal" face has turned into one big grin and his eyes, his eyes making him look evil and crazy.
Laughs Out of the way degenerates, let me show how a real hero does it!
He lifted up his right hand, where his right hand had a gauntlet that looked like a grenade. He used his left hand to pull the pin on the gauntlet where it unleashed one giant explosion that came out from his gauntlet, and started to head towards the monster.
“Finally something we can on I can barley find any other dedicated engineer in this place but hey I would be greatly happy to swing by and help out. Builder to builder if you will hehe. But for now let’s try and kill this bloody blob...â€
She keeps jabbing and shocking with her staff at the beast to bide time and chatter becoming more carefree for a moment.
