Ok Elmco I’ll be reasonable for once. Haru was introduced pretty late into the game, and because of that I never had the kind of attachment with her that I had with the other characters. I also didn’t get her confident rank past 2 either (something I plan on finishing during my NG+ route). I’m sure if I got to know her I’d feel different about her, but for now she’s nothing but a forehead to me. Now onto Makoto. I really enjoyed her character arc on rebelling against what society has laid out for her. She gains the newfound confidence she needs, and opens up a lot more afterward. Also: Her persona is a heckin motorcycle, her interactions with her sister in Sae’s palace is neat, and I enjoyed the “detective work” her confidant link had. Overall she’s the character I spent the most time with, and saw develop throughout the game. So, my opinion might change after experiencing more time with the other phantom thieves, but for now, Makoto is numero 1 for me.
