The Sideways Hourglass
Navigating through an app on one's phone that would be familiar to some, they would find a mysterious selection under the "Locations" menu. Upon expanding the choice, a layout featuring description showed. It would appear that selecting "Open" would transport the user to "a hospitable realm which doesn't abide to the mortal perception of time, making it a perfect place to unwind." Choosing to unlock the locale would replace the backdrop of the room the person was in with an elegant, clean wall painted the color that appeased the user most and decorated with paintings vaguely depicting their most cherished memories, although altered enough to appear ambiguous. Comfortable sofas set up the sides of the room, adorned with hues of other appeasing colors. Soft ottomans stood in front of the sofas covered with various wine glasses that were filled with the favorite drink of whoever picked them up and never ran out. Motionless, sand-like glitter filled the air. Upon entering, it could be noted that any device capable of displaying time would no longer function or would not display a real number. The Smartphone as well would only show a screen-wide CLOSE button. No one appeared to be in the room at the moment.
"Mm? This thing again? This is... New at least." The blonde-haired girl would fumble about with her phone a bit while stuck in her room, before taking another deep breath and hitting the "Open" button. The girl initially glances around the room, before she ends up finding her nearest glass. The girl is somewhat suspicious of it at first, especially since no one else seemed to be around, but would soon get over herself to sip it. "Peppermint. How.. How lucky." the girl comments as she waits in the mostly empty space.
"Ooo, this place looks really nice." A ditzy tone of voice met with a short-haired girl that was looking at her phone. She immediately pressed 'Open' once her eyes locked with the certain location. The girl adjusts her black-rimmed glasses before taking a look around at the place she had brought herself too, then going towards where the glasses were. She drifted her hands from the couch before picking up the glass, taking the tiniest sip that wouldn't even be possible for a proper taste. "Green chai-tea latte? This place has taste." Before she could try and take another sip, her eyes dart towards Risako, and she ends up taking a big gulp before skipping her way over to her with a small grin on her face. "Fancy meeting you of all people here. How's it been!"

A younger, more savvy looking Itachi materializes sitting in sofa to the west. He leans forward and grabs a drink, gently sipping as he furrows his brow and appears to be contemplating something as he concentrates with slanted eyes. He then notices his company and waves between them briefly, giving an unenthusiastic greeting "Hello there."
Risako blinks and looks in the direction of her name, the girl takes another quick drink to calm her nerve, not noticing her cup seeming to refill itself instantly as she takes a deep breath "Its.. Not much, really. Albert took the day off so I've got a little time to myself tonight... Where.. I mean how have you been?" The girl takes another drink, taking in a deep breath before she hears their host. The girl would pause for a few seconds, quickly sipping again before she asks "Umm.. If I can bother... What was... Well, the preliminary day... There was that alert..."

"Alert, you say?" Itachi strokes his chin with his pointer finger. He sighs for a moment then puts his hands together, crossing his fingers and twiddling his thumbs. "Doesn't sound like something that happened in my time period, i'm afraid."
"Umm... It didn't? But we were in the waiting room... With the tournament..." Risako mumbles to herself for a bit afterwards, but doesn't push the issue any further, rather she simply returns to sipping her peppermint tea

Itachi kicks out his legs on the table and stretches his arms back, yawning before returning to face the girl and chuckling. "Now that you mention, it could help if I explained who I am exactly. This 'room' exists in a space between dimensional possibility. So, it's not out of the question to think you've met a version of me from a different reality, right?" He stirs the palm of his hand forward facing Risako.
Out of nowhere would come the incessant sound of slurping, and Asena would be sitting on the edge of the couch as she watched the two talk, her drink actually being to the point that it would be almost finished. After a few seconds, the sound would stop, and Asena sighed as she watched the two. "Sorry, I kinda spaced out there. So, what were you talking about when you said dimesions?" She'd continue sipping her drink, casually noting how it'd just refill itself on the spot, and was all ears to hear more about wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey space bullshit. She is the star girl after all, so it's no wonder she'd be interested in the subject matter.

"Oh... Um... I guess... I just never really..." Risako begins muttering to herself again, blinking as she takes another drink to steady herself with a sigh "I shouldn't have been so presumptuous to guess I knew you then.. Sorry if I'm wasting your time."

Itachi would snicker at the two girls, finding their reactions to be amusing. He leans in towards Risako and smiles at her. "Don't worry about it. After all, odds are the person you know and I aren't all that different!" He sits back and goes between the two girls, talking slowly to allow them to intervene when necessary. "Ah, yes. Dimensions, as we call them, the infinitely expanding planes of reality. Of course, every dimension has some overlap with its many neighbors. This space contains such overlap, and as such, has different psychics than any other dimension. Time doesn't flow here, so naturally many use it for recuperate and planning. I find that my associates use it to compare research, too."
