How did you get into Persona?
Hey! I'm new to this forum, and I'm also kind of new to Persona, so this is kinda like my way of getting to know everyone better! I don't think this post should include spoilers? But please put a warning if you're gonna add one, for any reason!! To start off- I was introduced to Persona years ago, but only got into it about a month ago! My friend introduced it to me in Middle School, but after Joker was announced for Smash, that's when I got interested!
Similar story here, except I only heard a few things about persona until I started getting suggestions for videos where people played as Joker, I watched them because I love smash bros and upon seeing where he was from I looked into it and became a fan,
For me it was one of my preferred Twitch streamers, he played Persona 3 and 4 semi-regularly (usually doing a playthrough of Golden once a year), and while I liked them I've never really been able to actually watch one of their Persona playthroughs until 5, simply because the others aren't really visually appealing so it can be hard to get into it unless you're the one playing.
TBH I don’t know, I think I was looking for games to play and bought in bulk and persona was just one of them
My dad got persona 5 for Christmas the year it came out, and I watched him play some of it. I thought it was pretty neat, but as soon as I saw the game’s UI, I stole permanently borrowed it. I loved the game so much that I went back to play 3 and 4, and when Joker was reveled for Smash I had the biggest erec- smile on my face. Ever since then I’ve been hooked!
I saw a Persona 5 introduction video in my recommondations and clicked on it since the style looked nice. After that, I looked it up and got hooked.
I believe a random gaming channel I watched played Persona 4, and that turned me onto the series, so I started looking up the series in general. I've never played it, but I'm hoping to do so whenever Atlus makes the next mainline game.
I remember seeing it a bit, but it hardly ever caught my attention. I didn't have a playstation at the time, so I didn't see much use in getting excited for a game I could never play. Then, when we finally did get the PS4, it never really came back on my radar until Black Friday last year, so my dad bought it for me for Christmas, and I loved the game almost as soon as I started playing it.
