i hate him idk why people like him so much

I don't hate him though I'm not really a fan of him either. I feel like people tend to forget the part of his character where he kills people for Shido, helps frame the Phantom Thieves for it, almost kills the main character and who's true self almost goes into spoilt brat throwing a tantrum territories which is as much a part, if not more, of his character as the adorkable, pancake memeing detective prince. I just think he's overrated.

I like him and I'm quite happy that he'll be getting a bigger part in Royal

Warning: (Almost) this entire comment is one giant spoiler. You have been warned. I feel like a lot of people hate on Goro Akechi just because of the fact that he killed Joker, caused the mental shutdowns, and was working for Shido all along. But remember that he was being used by Shido like a tool. He did all that because he believed that the Phantom Thieves were criminals. Which, if you think about it, is kinda true. Not just that but he acts just like an actual human being. Beneath the pancake loving exterior, he is a real person with real goals and motives. Whatever you call him: Akechi, Crow, Pancake Boi; he's not as bad as that cutscene in the interrogation room might make you think. He believes he's doing what's right for the good of society. This is why we should all cut Akechi some slack. Long story short, my opinion of Akechi is a "meh" all things considered. He's still got some "issues" to work out, but besides that, he's okay in my book. Man, that got serious. Here's a video to click on. Hope you like Minecraft. I think that Akechi plays a critical role in presenting a moral dilemma for the player, and giving the player a reason to side with the Phantom Thieves. Don really get why people particularly love or hate him, but I think his presence adds a great dynamic to the game’s story.

I just like him because he's pancake man tbh

I love the guy. He’s gotta be one of my top favorite characters and I’m excited for his bigger role in the Royal. I’m gonna guess half of people’s love for the character is just his general attractiveness. People wouldn’t love him nearly as much if he was ugly. I just really like his character and role in the story. He’s just an interesting guy with an interesting part to play in the roles of the phantom thieves. Now I also have to say I know Akechi is a bad person. He’s murdered countless people, but I really wanted to see how his story would have played out if he had survived in his final fight. Akechi is the kinda guy who is a train wreck of a person and you just wanna see how he recovers, or doesn’t recover. I was disappointed with his death because I wanted to see more of him. I really hope the royal does him justice (no pun intended) cause I really do like him and he’s probably my favorite character in the game.
