Why?
Why does everyone hate sho minazuki?
Because he is the antagonist of the game making him rendird unlikeable. I like him at the end because I feel bad for him.
Saying it's because he's the villain of the game is a very... 1 dimensional answer. I think it'd be easier to answer by listing off what Sho is. Sho: -Wild Card -Split personality -Weilds 2 swords at once as opposed to the protagonist wielding 1 -Has a Persona with an ability that seemingly no one else has -Came back from the dead to get revenge on the world -Somehow controls shadows One or two of these things wouldn't be a problem but the issue really boils down to him feeling like some man-made overly edgy OC because... There's just too much here that feels like every anti-hero trope roped into one.

There's just too much here that feels like every anti-hero trope roped into one. Um... first of all I don't remember it saying he was a wild card. Second, I never remember them saying he died. Third, If he can control shadows then why does it show him ripping one apart when he walks on screen. Fourth, two swords is bad? Fifth, What is persona's ability? He was exploited by Hi No Kagatsuchi. That power came straight from Hi No Kagatsuchi, not his persona.
My issues are, like Elian said, his edgy behavior, which reaaaaaaaally stands out among the rest of the cast, even Adachi. He sounded super cartoony and dumb which I guess works well considering what Yu eventually became in each following appearance he's had as a character after Arena, which I guess was the point with Adachi just tagging along with him while secretly laughing at him for the brat he is, which makes me wonder if his behavior was intentionally that over the top to look stupid or if they just realized it after the fact. Whatever the case, most of P4 spin offs don't really treat the characters in the best light and Arc is known for over the top crap, but it's just kind of... it feels off, Sho feels super off, similar to how people see Marie in the context of P4G after playing the og In short, people just really dislike him for being a brat with stereotypical japanese bad guy traits like laughing like a maniac, loving your own sadism and also being loud. In short, edgy. Remember most people came into Arena/Ultimax AFTER either playing the original PS2 Persona 4 or P4G which came out really close to the first Arena
