GYM DX: Summons to Brawl
A boy wearing a simple grey leather coat over a school uniform would walk up to the door of a building in a shady alley that's oddly well kept for the area, absently staring at the phone in his hands for a moment before he tries to turn the knob and mutters to himself a bit. "Can it really be so simple... A supernatural fight club, just hanging around in plain sight like this? That's what the rumors say anyway, but come on who'd be so crazy as to actually do that?" Upon entering the building he finds it currently empty, and that the lights would quickly come on to reveal a juice bar with no one working it over on the right-hand side... Towards the back, there are two, fighting arenas? They look that way, rather large and with occult symbols around them that Tadashi realizes are designed to keep weapons and magic from spilling out of the circles. Someone knew their shit designing those if he had to guess. And finally, there's a computer over in the very back left corner which he'd walk over to. Realizing it seems to be for setting up VR fighting areas after toying around with it for a few minutes. "... Wow, I guess this place is actually for real then. Pretty amazing to think it's existed this whole time and I just never dropped by." The teenager would then begin reaching into a large bag he'd carried in with him, drawing out a pair of rune inscribed gauntlets and placing them on his hands with a grin while awaiting someone he might be able to challenge.
{A teenage girl with purple hair wouldn't really try to question what's around her, instead walking straight towards the only other person here. Without wasting any time, she'd go up to him.} "Hi." {Shihiro would eye the gauntlets that he had just put on his hands. The girl had on a white leather jacket with it's collar popped out, along with a simple combination of a short sleeved shirt, shorts, and boots all colored black. A simple-looking sword was sheathed and placed on her waist. She crosses her arms, speaking in a monotone voice.} "You look excited."
A young man would enter the building, covering his eyes with a dark pair of shades even indoors and wearing his usual odd coat. He seemed to be holding one hand out and despite smiling seemed to be struggling. "I feel it, my retinas burn, my sixth sense going wild. As a psychic...no as a expert on the spirit world I can't deny this feeling. They're here... Demons! This place must be a spiritual hotspot! The perfect location to give haunted tours to foreigners!"
The young Devil Summoner would smirk a bit, drawing out his phone and sizing her weapon up a bit. T:"Hah! Yeah a little bit, I'm looking for someone to practice my fighting skills against... And judging by that sword you're carrying you might just fit the bill, name's Tadashi Yagami, devil summoner! Behold, Inti!" He'd begin drifting closer to the fighting arena on the left side, stepping in and cracking his knuckles a bit while quickly conjuring up... A humanoid man with a blazing sun for a head, light radiating off it and with a body that appears to be made of gold and bronze metal. He'd glance over towards the girl and speak in a curious tone. I: "Well, I wasn't expecting to be called forth to fight a child as our first battle summoner. I hope she's more impressive than she looks, otherwise this won't be worth our time." T: "Yeah yeah I know, but come on. It's an occult fight club, no way she'd come in here without any talent at all! Oh and hey, yeah there are indeed demons here man, don't worry though they're cool right Inti?" I: "... Yes, I am 'cool' as you put it summoner. I've no intention of going on a rampage or harming random humans at any rate." The devil summoner greets his fellow Chunni acting mofo in a cheery tone of course. While his Demon seems far less amused and just stares blankly.
"...right." {The girl stands there, looking unimpressed with the boy's bravado. Well, it seems that their demon isn't really acting the same way. She merely shrugged, indifferent with what's happening. Shihiro would take her phone out her pocket and peruse as she spoke casually with Tadashi, who seemed to be real excited about fighting.} "Name's Shihiro Tamashi. I'm also a demon summoner. Your energy almost makes me feel refreshed. Almost...well, at least you made me realize we now have a spectator. That's cool at least." {Despite only using one hand, her speed on the cellular device seemed insurmountable. Despite this, most of her other movements felt like they were a bit sluggish. One tap on her phone later, and a pixie with blue hair digitalizes into existence, wearing a white shirt and pants with boots, and two red scarves that go around her neck and her waist. She looked a bit similar to her summoner.} P: "Personally, I kind of like it that way! I've noticed you've always been acting a bit down lately. Maybe we should get fired up too?" S: "I'll think about it. Anyways Pixie, we've been challenged to a fight, so get ready for that." {Shihiro and her Pixie would follow Tadashi and Inti towards the left arena. As Tadashi has his weapons out and about already, Shihiro decides to take the sword out her sheath. It was pretty simple, but it faintly glowed the colors of the rainbow. Shihiro herself would put a hand on her chin, making it look like she was thinking about something. Her body was a bit motionless, but the Pixie that followed her excitedly zipped in the air, ready for what's about to come.} S: "Welp, might as well get to it. I guess you probably want to make the first move. You can go do that, doesn't matter to me anyways."
The young man would smile jubilantly as he began to breath in, indicating a long rant coming. "Ancient spirits, those who co-exist with humanity, Almost treated as if commonplace. Though being a visitor I'm unfamiliar with the established rules... No need for concern though, my sixth sense continues to guide my way. I shall observe for now though it is rather hard to determine how I stack up in this world through simple observation. Guess that'll have to do for now though my retinas do burn for more."
A shining large bird burst through the possibly open door to GYM and perchs on Tadashi's head. "'Sup."
"Ah, divine soul! Thank you for your presence! It's an honor!" The boy would bring his hand together before bowing to the glorious glowing bird. He'd reach into his bag and pour a strange looking liquor into a wooden bowl before holding it up before the bird. "An offering, this should be easy to convert into spirit energy, honored divine soul."
The young man would smile widely upon seeing Horus appear. T: "Divine Soul? Looks like a demon from the Expanse to me, a Horus if I'm not mistaken? And it is a pleasure to meet you of course Horus! Perhaps you'd care to observe a demenstration of my skills as a devil summoner, for I wish to establish a contract between us! And yeah we'll make the first move Shihiro." I: "By which he means, you may wish to move as we are about to begin combat. I can't say we have any desire to catch you in the crossfire." The boy's first move would just be... To draw out a gun he'd placed at his waist, a simple pistol that blazes towards the Pixie and attempts to pin her down, not only that but the shots seem to glow with a black light of cursed magic as they blast through the air. His Demon on the other hand would attempt to keep their foes from reaching them, or at least the girl. She'd find herself beset upon by a horrible frost roaring to life around her and not only aiming to inflict some ice damage, but slow her down from the sheer chill that's flowing into her limbs. T: "A nice and simple start if I say so myself. Let's see how it goes."
"...the pleasure is all mine." Horus would extend his face to the bowl filled with the strange liquor, attempting to convert it into "spirit energy" for the sake of being courteous. Although, on account of not understanding what that meant, he would most likely just end up drinking from the bowl like an ordinary bird. On the off chance he'd convert it subconsciously, his shine would grow and his energy would be rejuvenated despite not having been spent at all.
S: "Oh right, those exist." {The Pixie zooms around the bullets, flying right past them. However, she glides past Shihiro as she does so. Shihiro simply sighs, proceeding to cleave through the bullet before it gets too close to her. In response to the magic, the girl would merely point at the ice that comes her way. Pixie in turn responds by conjuring a storm of lightning bolts, attempting to cancel out the frost before the effect kicks in. Due to the amount of land it covers, the sudden electrical burst would also travel towards Tadashi and Inti just to shock them.} S: "You know, you can always summon another demon if you want." {Shihiro would now reach in her pocket, aiming not to move out the way as she does so, merely texting. If the frost were to still hit, her fingers would go at an average speed rather than how she normally handles her phone. Either way, there'd be another demon that digitalizes into the arena. Her long white hair flowed onto the ice crystals that make up the lower half of her body which was colored black. Her blue eyes gave an evil-looking gaze towards her opponents.} H: "Kehehehe, are you asking of me to contribute in someone's death?" S: "Sure, call it that. Just get ready for the next attack for now, I guess."
While the main event is still going on, a long green serpentine dragon is busy cleaning the various exercise machines around the GYM. It’ll probably be more energetic when more potential customers arrive. For now, though, it’s earning that money with dull work.
The icy magic isn't so easily gotten rid of, but the attack does send Tadashi on the defenseive for now. Raising a hand into the air as his gauntlet glows with curses and the boy mutters under his breath. In response to her attack a wall of solid shadows would rise up and block it, the boy panting a bit as he groans out a reply. T: "But alas, that's not how it works for me! This thing isn't designed to sustain more than one Demon at a time, truly a morunful thing I know!" It's also capable of enhancing the demon it does summon more than most types of programs would, thus the advantage but he doesn't need to share that little tidbit with an enemy at the moment. And for now his summoned help would simply focus upon building up greater power, the spell known as Mind Charge rushing through it as it ponders. and doesn't bother joining it's master's snark. T: "I'm kinda surprised you can cut bullets like that though, that doesn't really seem human! But I guess that conjuring up walls of shadow ain't that human either."
P: "Weeelll, humanity doesn't make a difference to your combat performance! Right Shihiro?" S: "Yeah, that bit's obvious at least. Though I didn't know cutting through bullets was now considered non-human. I'll try to hold back a bit more. Your COMP sounds a bit weird, you're making it sound like every demon of yours is a Persona. That's besides the point though, that wall of shadows is kind of cool. Maybe it's also non-human, but it's great for reminding me of how I can't go in for an attack." {As the cold bit at Shihiro, her mannerisms make it seem like she isn't affected at all by the setback or the damage. Her breaths become clear, a cold wind leaving her mouth every few syllables, and her movements are a bit slow, yet the girl herself is still indifferent. The demon lady in ice speaks up.} H: "Ahem. Encumbered in frost or not, we can still make an opening." P: "Agreed! Leave it to us, Shihiro!" {Shihiro shrugs her shoulders, merely walking forward with her sword in hand. An almighty energy would surround both Tadashi and Inti, encapsulating them in a weird purple field. This field would burst before disintegrating onto them. If this hit, it would effectively Rattle their body, making their movements slowed as well. Meanwhile, Pixie conjures up something other than electrical magic. Her hands would resonate with a blue aura, and it would wash over the summoner and his demon, reducing their attack by a single stage.}
A girl shining much more brightly than Horus would roam the streets outside GYM before entering the building proper, gently walking up to Horus. "Horus! Why'd you go off on your own like that?" Horus would fly around Asami briefly before hovering in front of her. "Lady Asami, I came here because I felt like there'd be some cool demon summoners here." Asami crosses her arms before getting distracted by the exercise machines which she hadn't noticed before. She then goes up to one of the treadmills and stands to the side of it, placing one hand on the rail. "Ooh, ooh, c-can I play on the treadmill?" She would ask this to no one in particular, just seeking general permission.
The serpent gives Asami a tired look then nods and continues cleaning the machines. That’s probably a yes from him.
A Persona? The hell is that, eh doesn't matter. The attack is... Annoying to say the least, a bit painful but he'll pull through despite it. Being slowed down is probably the greater issue here, not to mention the attack debuff that will be hurting their planning. T: "Dekunda!" Such a simple spell and yet so often forgotten, it only takes a second for the summoner and his demon to return to their full strength and power despite the damages they've suffered. At which point the entire group would find a massive blast of fire engulfing the entire field across from them, Inti's sun glowing wildly with power as the flames scorch at the ground and slam against the barrier built around the ring. Only held back from damaging the building at large by magic. The summoner for his part would take this chance to begin rushing forward towards his human foe, after the fire clears a bit grinning slightly while glancing towards her sword. T: "Debuffs, real pain to handle for some I'll admit. Thankfully dear old auntie taught me basic counters. Anyway, let's beat the shit out of each other I guess, my fists and armor against that blade!"
Asami would smile at the dragon and giddily hop on the treadmill, starting to run as fast as she could. This, of course, would result in the machine being greatly taxed, both the heart rate and speed sensors quickly reaching their upper limits. As a result, the machine would quickly catch fire, exacerbated by Asami's own solar light and able to spread a few feet before Asami even notices.
The dragon suddenly screeches and whacks Asami off the treadmill with its tail. It spends the next minute or so racing around at incredible speed and dumping bucket upon bucket of water on the fire while the sprinkler system goes off. Once the mess is contained, the dragon sighs and starts cleaning the area up.
S: "How emotional." {Shihiro would stop walking forwards, holding her sword up to her body and planning to guard herself from the vicious flames that burned through the area. Pixie also attemped to guard, but with nothing but pure magic to defend herself, she was hurt overall more than Shihiro. However, the one that suffered the most from this attack was Hel, the being with ice literally being a part of her. Shihiro didn't seem to mind at all though, merely taking her sword back to her relaxed stance of letting it point to the ground with no immediate stance to try and prepare for anything.} S: "Luckily, I've made it so that my kit doesn't focus entirely on debuffs. Let's get this show on the road now." P: "The children are at it again. Mediarama!" {Pixie now decides to use a healing spell, healing everyone on Shihiro's side. Shihiro herself didn't feel much different, and Hel still felt the heat of those flames despite being healed. Truly, Pixie was the only one that felt "better". Shihiro grasped at her phone, tapping once to de-summon Hel, who's specialized purpose is very hard to utilize in this exact fight. However, instead of going to summon another demon, she focuses on Tadashi's next strike.}
Asami is confused as she is knocked off the treadmill, looking on in embarassment as she notices Rayquaza desperately trying to put out the fire she inadvertently caused. However, she would look on in fear as Rayquaza attempts to dump water on a fire caused by an electronic. Thinking it best to make that unnecessary, she merely extinguishes the fire using her own power and undoing any damage caused. She would still scratch the back of her head in embarrassment as she looked away from Rayquaza. "Um, so... i'm guessing I shouldn't run that fast, huh?"
The young man grins a bit, he'll need a spell here rather than just facing that blade head on... Yeah this should work, probably. T: "Shadows of the Reaper!" His Demon simply sighs upon hearing that name, it knows the technique is useful but does Tadashi really have to call it that? Shihiro would find its purpose soon enough, seeing the boy covered in a shadowy aura that seems to conceal his identity... And seeing three more figures equally cloaked in shadow appear within moments, shuffling around wildly in as they approach. Of course they aren't just illusions, these things are made of magic too and even if the girl managed to block the real Tadashi his 'fakes' would still slam into her with cursed magic as the boy and his creations aim to knock her blade from her hands... And to take her phone away from her if the first part of this plan goes off. His demon on the other hand is focused upon keeping Pixie off balance for the moment, solid creations of ice rushing out from the ground in the form of a wide spray of shards designed to pin her in and score some hits by sheer volume. Funnily enough, its main target here isn't her main body either, but rather the smaller demon's wings, hoping to cripple her movement.
{Instead of worrying, the girl raises an eyebrow at even more magical shenanigans, something her brain can't wrap her head around. Shihiro glances at her phone as she swipes away, tapping with her thumb as she looks at all the clones that come after her.} S: "Welp. Wasn't planning this. Fenrir." {Before her phone could be taken away, Shihiro calls out the next demon in line for digitalizing into existence. This demon would appear in front of Pixie as she was almost attacked by the shards with no way of dodging. Pixie's small build would be covered with the bigger target that stands in it's way. Inti's ice constructs would instead hit the newly summoned ebony wolf with fiery eyes and threads orbiting it's figure. Upon deployment, Fenrir sits on it's hind legs, howling to the moon.} {A red and green light washed over them, a pumped up aura resonating with everyone on Shihiro's team which increases their attack as well as their speed. Now that they've been buffed, the girl let go of her phone, letting it hit the ground. Instead of letting the constructs take her phone away, she dropped it herself. Likewise, she used this time to swiftly deliver a slash towards the real Tadashi's way. The sword cleaves it's way from the floor first, kicking up dust. However it stops mid-way, as the girl decides to let go of the sword mid-slash.} {Instead of letting the shadows disarm her, she disarms herself. The sword is flung at a brisk angle, spinning fast like a helicopter blade as it travels it's way to the real Tadashi, aiming to skewer into him to cause a brutal wound, something similar to a parting shot. She tries her best to put her guard up as the shadows slam into her, dealing a good chunk of cursed damage. Meanwhile the Pixie peaks past Fenrir, aiming a quick bolt of lightning at Inti's way, the damage dealt being similar to a Zionga.}
Unluckily for Shihiro, the girl would find she's mistaken. The Tadashi she'd slammed her blade towards is just a fake, they do all look exactly the same so without some sort of sixth sense finding the real one is just a matter of luck more than skill. T: "Sorry, but I think we're about done here. Accursed Pit!" The devil summoner can't keep his copies around forever, and their forms would already be breaking down into raw magic in fact... But he can still work with raw magic. The girl would find each of them forming into solid shadows not unlike the wall he had blocked with before. With her blade having been sent flying far across the room by the copy she sent it at, and her phone now right under Tadashi's foot the boy's plan would come into full effect. The energy from his makeshift minions hangs around in the form of a mess of shadowy spikes that all threaten to imaple the young woman, acting as a makeshift cage save for the point its creator is entering from. And the boy would find them dancing away from him as he grabs onto her neck with surpsinging strength and moves the magic a bit closer to the back of her skull. His Demon is forced onto the defense though, being struck by some the electical power and wincing as it focuses entirely upon conjuring a wall of ice in the small fairy's path. That doesn't bother the summon much as he speaks a bit. "Unless you can escape this somehow, I'd kinda call it my win. Your demons are impressive, but if this were a real fight they wouldn't be able to do anything before I splatter your brain against my magic."
{As Tadashi would grip her neck, he would find that her pulse was very quiet. Her monotone voice didn't even seem to be struggling for any oxygen, and her eyes were as dull as before. No breathes were made from the girl as her hand reached inside her pocket, gripping for a certain item.} "Ok. Good for you." {Shihiro says nothing else to the boy as she takes a small pocket knife out of the pocket of her shorts. With her buff still active, she would first think about using it to slash at his eyes, attempting to blind him. However, since this was not a lethal battle, she merely showed it to him before dropping that to the floor as well.} "And if this were a real fight, I would wager that we'd both die in here. But you can let go now. I get it." {She says to him, not afraid at all of the spike behind her. Instead she patiently waits for Tadashi to drop her, her mannerisms being just like when she wasn't being presented with the threat of death. Pixie would no longer try to fight Inti, and Fenrir would have absolutely no idea what's going on, pacing around in circles as he chased his own tail with glee.}
The young man would actually be a bit surprised, not by her drawing a knife he moves to pin that shit down long before she can get it anywhere near him, a spike forming into a hand with no body and grabbing onto her arm to hold it in place as soon as she enters her pocket. He'd let go soon enough after that though. "One, I'm not stupid enough to let an enemy go through their pockets, two I wouldn't have wasted time talking which is why you had a chance to do that. Anyways that was fun!" His magic would just vanish while shooting her a friendly smile and laughing a bit. His Demon meanwhile simply watches curiously for the moment. "Your demons were pretty impressive honestly, though I didn't have cause to bring out my best one. Thought about it but eh, I'll save her for later. And your personal work is a bit shoddy though, I get the sense your experience has largely focused on relying on demons instead of yourself, am I right?" Even as a mid-tier devil summoner at best, the boy has a keen eye for detail, and it wasn't a hard one to spot after getting in close on her. "I'm most interested in how calm you are though, it speaks of either a lot more life and death battles than your age suggests, or just not feeling much for some reason... But regardless, good match."
Asami would turn to face the two as they finish their battle, a smile forming on her face as she has the pleasant surprise of seeing someone she knows. She would walk up behind Tadashi with Horus following close to her, indicating he was her demon. "Ah... Tadashi-chan! I didn't even notice you were here at first... how's school?"
"Eh, I don't think I'm that calm. The attitude slips through at least. Other than that I never really cared about my feelings that much." {The girl says blankly. As she lets her feet hit the ground, Shihiro's body would spring back up like it was business as usual. Even in the face of losing, she merely shrugs as she responds again.} "It makes trash talk very easy at least. Though...maybe I held back too much. My program can bring out like...5 demons at most. Yeah, that's the number. They more than make up for me sadly. I guess I still need training. That's even more sad." {While she attempted to search her pockets with a nonchalant attitude once more, she instantly forgets that the demons are still out. They both would try to wave at her. Well, one of them at least. The other one just walks right beside her. She pets Fenrir and makes a simple gesture for Pixie to follow them.} "Besides, that's always been the case with me. I just now started to try and fight on my own. Hasn't even been that long since I started training I think. Either way, I think it this was fun as well. The only reason why I have a feeling I need to say that was because my colorful personality might've not recognized that...also, I'm going to need my things back." {Her eyes dart both at the phone, and at the sword. However, she seems much more fixated on the phone that he had stepped on. Despite she herself dropping it, the girl was almost eager to sock Tadashi in the face. That detail also wasn't obvious though, as Shihiro's face was unreadable as always.}
