While the site is to be enjoyed, the duties of efficient moderation have requirements that some fulfill better than others. Objectivity, time investment and understanding of the role are important, thus, if one sincerely feels fitting for the role, if they have the capacity to display the appropriate behavior (and act on predictable procedures) then they ought to do the job well. Or maybe they deserve some investigation, but only if it's sincere.
Honestly, I have way too much free time and ever since I found this site I haven't gotten off. So time and investment aren't a problem LMAO. I also like to help people and stuff like that so sounds like I fit the bill ;)

Note these are particularly qualifications I would use to filter eligible candidates out. An innate adroitness is important for proper moderation. If one believes themselves to have the talent and willpower to become excellent at the job, may their resolve be tested rigorously. That's how I see it.
