The baskers is probably a guy who wanted to make himself sound like a bunch of heroes like the PThieves, so he created that thread and multiple accounts.

TL;DR: He was RP'ing so hard.

If you look at the accounts on the thread, you can see they were made within the same day, at a similar time between each other. If it was one person, they can have multiple devices to log in at the same time or is able to log out and in pretty fast.

Basically, every once in a while, some extreme shitposter spams really triggering topics, which labels him/her as an "Old God" or Thot. Most notably are the users "Naked_Mitsuru" for Mmm im in my bed, "Fatposter" for Fat Makoto stuff, and "MORGANALOVER" for Akechi RP spam.

As a person who witnessed the birth of the Baskers, I am not 100% about their reason for existence, but I have my theories.

They tried to recruit people I think. They asked anybody with "Baskers" in their name to join their chat, but nobody did.

When they started, I think they were RPers trying to find targets for the Phantom Thieves and supporting them on the side lines. I remember they talked to Joker specifically saying something like "I know we can't be real Phantom Thieves, so let us help you in anyway we can by giving you targets and such things" and if I remember correctly, Joker kinda ignored them.
