Yoshida.
Best boy.

I never finished it, but Shinya's. The benefits were amazing (Who doesn't want to start every battle with a Bullet Hail?) on top of how stoked he was for the Phantom Thieves, and his "I can't lose!" personality near the beginning. It made me feel pretty good the more his Confidant rank went up.

My favorite I got to finish was Mr. Yoshida's, the Sun Confidant. getting more out of negotiations was a huge plus for me, and his story was amazing as a politician making a comeback from his previous mistakes.

Shinya's was cool with all the gun skills, and same I never was able to finish it. And Yoshida was really helpful in getting me money and more, also yes his story was great.

In terms of raw benefits nothing beats the combo of Hifumi and Mishima. Basically raising your active party from 4 to 9.

In terms of story, though...gonna have to go with the crowd and say Yoshida's or Sojiro's.

Mishima was helpful in leveling up all the thieves for me especially on the final part of the game for true ending. But yea story wise I don't think nothing beats Yoshida's and Sojiro's.

Hifumi, because being able to swap party members freely during combat made boss fights and other difficult enemies much less stressful. Also I wholeheartedly agree with Bonafied-Monafied about Sojiro.

Hifumi.

Her personality, skills for leveling up confidant rank, the arc, looks etc. everything was perfect. I even plan to get into shogi when I have some time.

A lot of people find her arc boring, but I thought that her internal struggle was quite interesting, I was in a similar situation few times, so I was curious about the outcome.

Futaba. Waifu, and her determination to get stronger despite intense social anxiety resonated with me.

Honestly I'd probably like to try Shogi too.

Oooh, a phansite shogi guild would be cool. I liked Hifumi and her benefits for battles, they were quite helpful. I liked her story too, but it wasnt my favorite story out of them all. I know there was cut content of her so maybe if they ever add that in with an extended P5, she could become my favorite confidant, or at least higher in my list.
