*Gamma is walking along the riverside. He walks quickly, seemingly irritated. Soon enough he notices Kazuma reading by the river, and decides to stop for a moment*
Hey, I didn't catch your name at the shop earlier. I take it you're new around here. Having a hard time... Adjusting?

*sees Gamma and a green haired kid and walks up to them*

So are you new to the Nexus?

[The voice of the man talking to him makes him drop the book, and it falls on his face. Out of pure embarrassment, he stands up and keeps covering his face with the book.]

U-Uh, h-he-hello! I'm...actually new around here, so...I haven't had much o a chance to...to talk to many people...

*Gamma sighs as he turns to Spectre*
Just don't try to freak him out ok? He at least seems to have a fairly normal reaction to finding himself in a different world.

*Gamma extends his hand to Kazuma*
Well, I guess we may as well start then. You can call me Gamma. I'm far from the nicest guy here, but I'll be willing to help you learn about this place, if that's what you want. I've been here pretty long after all.

Alright Gamma.

*turns to Kazuma*

And the name is Spectre sorry for the scary look.

[Kazuma stops covering his face with the book. His cheeks are red as he puts in inside his bag once more.]

It's...nice to meet you, Mr. Gamma...and Mr Spectre, it-it's okay...

[He takes his hand shyly and shakes it, not looking at him directly.]

Y-Yes, that would be helpful...understand what this world is, I-I mean...!

*Gamma gives Kazuma a firm handshake, but lets it drop in a moment*
Well... This place is called the Nexus, basically its a version of Japan set in the early-mid 2000s. Well, for the most part. However all sorts of different people and things have leaked over from other universes. You seem to be one of them. For the time being we don't really know any ways back to our own times.

*Gamma shrugs before continuing*
I'm sure some people care about that last part. For now, I pretty much just enjoy the ride. There are others who are more informed as to exactly WHAT this place is, but I can at least give you working knowledge of it.

*takes off his helmet to show his face*

This is the Nexus. The cross world of many dimensions.

*Walks close to the group, listening on the conversation* Oh... This place has a name. So it really is a weird place after all.

I-I see, that's a start...
It seems I am now in some kind of past world...?

[The young man nods at Gamma, playing with his own fingers, thinking, trying to make more sense out of the situation.]

T-Tell me, if people here are from many different universes...then are there some kind of...magic user? Y-You know, mages and witches and...c-curious people like those...

*Gamma thinks for a moment, and nods at Kazuma*

There are several different kinds of magic users actually. The most common ones are known as persona users, they have a sort of magical familiar that grants them strength.
As far as I've seen there are three people who are simply mages in their own right, able to use most spells without assistance.

*Gamma soon notices Akari, and walks over to hug them*
I see you've wandered quite a ways from the city. Yes, we gave this weird place a name. After all, don't you name places you find really interesting?

*points to his cybernetic right arm*

Not all people in the Nexus are magic or persona Users. I am said people who uses technology.

I s-see...! This world really is so-something else, perhaps much more similar to the one I'm from than I think...?

[Kazuma gives Gamma a slight smile before sitting down on the grass once again. After this, he lets out an almost inaudible sigh as he looks for something inside his bag.]

Hungry, I hope it's here...

[He says to himself.]

*opens up a packet of gunballs*

Want a Gobblegum?

*he pops a blueberry flavored one in his mouth*

Dr. Monty supplies us with it.

*Gamma shrugs as Spectre points out his arm*
Yeah, some people come from places so far ahead their tech gives them a fighting chance.
Anyways, you mentioned your world, care to explain what it was like? Who knows, if you're lucky I might know someone else from there.

*Gamma then lets go of Akari to put his arms behind his head*
My home was pretty lame, maybe just a few years behind here. Lived out in the middle of nowhere so... Well... I didn't mind being brought somewhere a little weird.

I don't really name places, they just are. I like it when it's all mysterious... *Smiles*

And, I left my home by myself. I wanted to get my smile back, explore new places and go somewhere where things... Weren't just empty shapes...

My world is just shit Gamma. We gotta deal with anarchist screwing up world peace, a technological A.I which is also a virus that turns people with a DNI into slaves and robots that can rip out and break limbs. Player is damn good example.

W-Well, I don't know much about this one but...it's a normal world, I think...if not for the B-Black Beast running around, destroying everything...

[After a couple of seconds he finds a small pastic container. There are eggs inside it. Kazuma opens it and can't help but smile like a child as he takes the first one. They're hard boiled eggs, and with excitement, he unshells it.]

T-There not much I can tell you, Mr. Gamma...at the very least I can't think of anything specific...

Black what now?

*starts searching of what it is*

Nope... can't find what that thing is. And kid a friend of mine got two pets. A leviathan that blows bubble and a wingless wyvern that is walking tesla coil, but you don't need to worry they won't harm a fly.

*Gamma looks at Akari quickly, before turning back to Kazuma*
You can start by telling me your name, unless I'm supposed to call you new kid the whole time.
Then... Maybe about this "black beast" you mentioned. But, well, I understand if you don't want tot alk about it.

*Gamma now turns to and tries to give Akari a hug*
Yeah... I can see places getting old, especially if nothing happened there, but I hope. That some of the things here mean more to you. At least, enough for you to want to stick around a bit. After all, I still need to get you a second set of clothes.

They do. I have friends here, and there's always something new or different... I'm happy I came here! *Smiles* And oh... I forgot all about the clothes.

I-I'm very sorry, it was not my intention to be rude...!

[His cheeks turn red for a moment.]

M-My name is Kazuma Kval, it's a pleasure...and like I said, I'm very sorry for being rude...

[After this, he clears his throat and looks at the egg he has in his right hand.]

The Black Beast is a gigantic creature that came out of nowhere a few years ago, it appeared in the middle of Tokyo and since then it has run around the entire world without control, killing everything on it's path, n-not even nuclear weapons work...as of now, at least half of humanity is gone...
It also brought with it this strange substance...a "Magic Element" we call Seithr, and as far as we know, all it does is corrupt living beings turning them into monsters...s-s-so...it's kind of like poison...

[Then, Kazuma gulps down the entire egg without chewing.]

Is...is that enough...?

So Gamma and Kid. Wanna take him to LeBlanc?

Well since I am both flesh and metal does it corrupt tech?

That's really different the world I came from... Nothing big like that ever happened at all.

*Gamma simply stares at Kazuma for a moment, still holding Akari*
Well... Its enough information that I can tell you there's no one here who's mentioned anything like Beast. So congrats on being the first of your world, I guess.

*Gamma then quickly looks at Spectre*
You can take him there if you want, just... Be careful. Kazuma seems easily flustered, that place can get a bit crazy at times. Don't want to scare him off. I'd like to fulfill the promise I made to Akari here, if you don't mind.

*Gamma lets go of Akari to look her in the eyes*
What do you say? Wanna see about getting another set of clothes around now? Or are you too busy?

So Kazuma, wait is the game plan?

I'm never busy. We can go now.

W-Well...maybe Mr. Clover will show up, maybe Ms. Glassfille...?

[He quickly unshells another egg, which he gulps down once more. Kazuma then lets out a sigh of satisfaction as he puts the small plastic container back inside his bag.]

And...what is Leblanc...?

LeBlanc is a cafe in Shibuya. I'll call in Mothership Atlas to pick us up.

*Gamma pats Akari on the head and walks back into the direction of the city*
Very well. Lets see if we can't find something you like, shall we?

*As he walks off he looks back at Kazuma*
Leblanc is the name of a cafe, sort of a gathering spot for people to chat and drink coffee. Most of them have some selling point or another, this one seems to be all about the weirdness. As in there are a lot of people who like showing off their magic so the place nearly explodes daily.

E...Explodes...?
I don't know if I feel sure about...be-being in a place like that...

[Kazuma plays with his fingers as he turns towards the river.]

I wonder, just what did I get myself into...?

Oh come Gamma. One explosion destroied Leblanc. And that didn't happen.

*Notices a giant war ship in the sky*
