The Cave of Wonders
Hi! This is a little experiment. I have 35 prewritten rooms at the ready. A randomizer will choose about everything, from how much damage attacks do to whether you get certain effects or not. There are 5 types of rooms, and 7 prewritten responses for each of them. The length of this will be 20 rooms, and unused rooms will be put in an extra RP. Enjoy!

OOC: I would give it a shot but work is in 30 minutes.
OOC: alas I am at work, but if it's still going in two and a half hours I would be willing to join.

I'll do it again afterwards, and I'll have a 35 room length so I can show every single one

Alright, we're starting.
You and the others have been called to a meeting room in a hotel. As you approach, you notice a strange man going in. He left the door open.
*Hibki walks in* Is this the meeting room?
Sam
*Also walks in*
Assumedly.
Employer: Yes, indeed. Come in.
So, what's the problem then?
E: I'm going to talk to you about something that happened about a month ago.
*he walks up to Sam and Hibki*

Hey guys. Got the memo on this random meeting?
*Himeno enters, scanning the room as she approaches the others* Seems like I came to the right place.
E: You see, a month ago, miners were digging into solid rock when they found an entrance to a tunnel. They followed it. Most of them were found dead the next morning.
Well it's a cave in right? You just need us to save the ones stuck there right?
E: Well, not exactly a cave-in. They found no marks on the miner's bodies, nothing.
E: I was one of those miners. I consulted a therapist and a priest after that.
So basically, some mysterious thing killed them... *Himeno crosses her arms* What do you want us to do about it?
Okay then. How much are we getting to investigate this cave?
Sam
Sounds like a time for research. I'll let Gin handle this.
*Sam disappears into a portal.*
Gin
*Gin is pushed through the portal and it closes abruptly*
Damn it, Sam.
E: I'll offer you all 1,000,000 yen to get to the bottom of this. Just find a way to get rid of whatever's in that cave so I can get my job back.
*begins to think*
All dead under a month? Might as well be armed for this mission.

*as he thinks he turns to Hibki*
What's the plan on this?
Done! When do we start?
We investigate and stick together. If we get split up don't engage the creature unless necessary.
Well, not like I can refuse with that reward... Mind leading us to that cave?
E: As soon as you can. Here's 100,000 yen up front. *He hands you a map and 100,000 yen. You may need it later for the coming trials.*
Gin
How rich is this guy?
*Gin throws the money in the air*
E: Follow that, and go to the cave.
(Move on, adventurers!)
*She takes a look at the map* So we go this way... then turn here... Alright, let's get moving.
Alright.

*loads a mag into his favorite M8A7*

So upon seeing the beast we shoot it.
*Hibki takes a photo and gets a virtual map* That's better, let's move out.
(The entrance to the cave looks pretty normal, but who knows what lurks inside?)
Gin
*Gin catches the money*
Oh right. Let's move.
Seems normal from here. Anyone got a light?
*Hinki turns on his phones flashlight* Are we ready? *When everyone is ready he walks in*
*he follows Hibki turning on the tact light on his rifle*

Stay close and stay sharp.
*With the other sources of light, Himeno doesn't even bother creating a flame and simply follows the others*
Room 1: The room is filled with serpents, each one with fangs sharp enough to pierce iron. But on closer inspection, you can tell that they are all blind. Be quiet, and you may get through this room. (It's a trap!)
Remember if we get split up avoid the creature unless absolutely necessary.
*Himeno puts a finger to her lips before slowly stepping forward, keeping a close eye on all the nearby snakes*
One of the snakes twitches it's tail, as it hears your foot step against the cold stone.
Gin
*Gin throws an icicle to the far corner, attempting to draw the snakes away.*
*Himeno freezes in place at the sudden movement. She takes another step, trying to not make any noise this time*
Hearing the icicle, some of the younger snakes dive, while the elders don't. It seems that they know what a human sounds like, and they're not going to move for something like that.
I like snake but this is to much for me.
*Hibki types a message on his phone and shows it to the others* "Can someone make a fake human?"
Hearing Spectre's words, 3 snakes bare their teeth and dive at him.
(A tip: don't speak!)
Gin
*Gin steps out of his ice armour, leaving a human shaped template. He traces "Will that work?" in ice on the a nearby wall.*
*Himeno shakes her head at Hibki's message after a moment of hesitation. She continues moving, prepared for any movement from the elder snakes*
*He keeps typing* "It needs to sound like a human when walking. Got anything like that?"
*silently panics and steps backs and messages to Hibki*

Psychosis clone out!

*he shoots out a holographic clone yelling LEEDLE LEEDLE LEEE*
The snakes fall for the clone, and dive after him. One snake, who seems to be the leader of the group, slithers in front of the exit and stops.
*Himeno stumbles forward at the sudden noise, but manages to stop herself before she makes any more noise*
*Hibki throws a dragon head figureine to the righteat portion of the room. It grows to a giant size a roars*
Gin
*Gin controls his ice armour to walk in the opposite direction of the group*
It seems that you'll have to battle him before the other snakes notice you.
*More snakes dive at the ice armour and the figurine. They bite through the armor like butter.*
*The giant dragon head roars eating one of the snakes*
*More snakes start to leave the holographic Spectre in favor of biting at the dragon head. They start to pierce through it's scales.
*Himeno glares at the lead snake. If that's how it has to be...* Burn... *She mutters this under her breath, intending to use her Gift to cause the snake to catch on fire (heavy fire dmg, if you need that info)*
*he puts a silencer on his rifle and starts shooting the snakes*
Gin
*Gin attempts to skewer the snake by the exit with an ice spike*
*While the snakes are busy with the dragon Hibki starts scrolling through skills and casting a holy dance on the big snake*

(Medium Almighty 2-3 times on a single target*
*The snake hears the fire on his body, and puts it out before it can do any damage to him using his venom.* (You rolled a 1)
Battle start! Player turn!
(Is that everyone? I'll start typing up the update.)
(I'm just shooting the snakes with a silenced burst rifle*
Gin
(Ice spike is Bufudyne, btw)
Hibiki's Holy Dance hits twice on the snake for 150 damage each. (700/1000)
Gin's Ice Spike hits for 150 as well. (550/1000)
(To keep it simple, all attacks will deal within a range of 0 to 200 damage.)
(Enemy turn!) *The snake is trying to pinpoint someone's location...*
(Player turn!)
Gin
*Gin tries to spike the snake again.*
*Message*
Stay quite and keep it up.

*Himeno mutters something in a slightly annoyed tone* Burn. *Yet again, she focuses on the snake...*

(Second verse, same as the first. Heavy Fire.)
Himeno finally burns the snake, dealing 150 damage to him. (400/1000)
The snake's scales protect him from some of the bullet fire, but the bullets still do 50 damage each. (250/1000)
Gin's spike misses, embedding itself into the stone wall. (You rolled a 1)
(Enemy turn!) Using the mutter from Himeno, it pinpoints her location and tries to strike her for 200 damage. It tries to strike at her, but it misses.
(Player turn! Take the snake out!)
*With the snake nearly down, Himeno raises her hand, casting Burn again*
*Hibki quietly taps Holy Dance sending it at the snake.*
*does the same action again*
Gin
*Repeats last turn*
The 2 attacks from Hibiki and Himeno were enough to take the snake down. It tries to slither away, but then it evaporates into shadow. (Party wins, room complete! Advance.)
Gin
*Gin continues. The ice shards around the room swarmed around Gin and reformed his ice armour*
*Himeno glances at the other snakes before quietly advancing to the next room.*

(SAN: 70%)
OOC: I have about 9 tabs open, lol.
ooc: someone save this person
OOC: Hey hundred, remember that labyrinth I promised?
ooc: I assume this is it/a test run of it?
OOC: Yep. It's an experiment for a 50 room labyrinth i'll eventually write up.
ooc: 50-room? Good luck with that, then. Oh, and Himeno's my alt. Just so you know.
Room 2: There is a table in the middle of the room with a basket and a couple other items. There is a message scratched into the surface of the table. Maybe you should read it. (Special room!)
*Himeno eyes the basket of items before reading the text*
Gin
At least there's no snakes.
*Gin looks at the message*
The message: "Place 10,000 yen in the basket before taking any items, or face retribution."
Might as well pay the item.

*drops 10k yen on the basket*
Gin
I'll check the items before I take something.
We got ten times that amount up front, so this shouldn't be too much of a hassle. *She pays the correct amount*
After Unit places the yen in the basket, it disappears. (90,000 yen left)
Here is the selection of items: A healing potion. A device that allows you to breath underwater. A snake flute. A stack of casino chips.
Himenko's money also disappears. (90,000 left)
OOC: *Himeno
Casino chips? What even... *After a moment of consideration, she picks up the healing potion*
(All of these items may be useful to you if you come to the point where they are useful. In the case that they aren't used, they will be available at the start of the next labyrinth.)
(Items such as the snake flute, which has had it's use already deteriorated, it may be exchanged later for another item.)
I am going to take the breathing apparatus.

*he grabs the breathing device*
(With special rooms and normal rooms, you may advance without performing an action.)
Gin
Well, I can already breathe under water, Himeno has the healing potion and we just passed the snake room.
*Gin puts 10,000 Yen in the basket and takes the Casino chips.*
They have to be here for a reason.
So, if everyone's done here, let's move on. We don't have all day.
OOC: Wait for Hibiki, he might get something
OOC: Unless he doesn't want the snake flute.
OOC: The yen will of course, have other uses.
Gin's money disappears from the basket. (90,000 yen left)
*he integrates the underwater breathing device into his helmet making him to breath underwater at will*

Alright. Everyone ready?
As said before, yes. Unless someone wants the now-useless flute.
Gin
I'm good to go.
*Gin flips a casino chip between his fingers*
OOC: Are you there Hibiki?
OOC: I'm just going to advance. If hibiki comes back, he can get the snake flute.
Room 3: Is it normal? Of course it is. (A very normal room)
(Normal rooms allow free actions, like bringing out your Persona and buffing everyone.)
(Advance when you are ready.)
Nothing in here. I say we keep going.
Gin
Still nothing.
Sam: Boring
Gin: You're not the one fighting, Sam
*Gin is ready to advance*
*he swaps out his M8A7 to his Maverick battle rifle*

Hold on. Need to add attachments before we head out.

*he adds a tact. light, hybrid sight, foregrip and laser sight to his rifle*
Room 4: Chained in this room is a small version of a dragon, the fire lizard. Suddenly, the chains break off, and it roars and attacks. (Battle start!)
OH what the fuck!!!

*he shoots the dragon with 6 shots*
(SAN: 80% after passing 2 rooms)

Great. Another reptile. Icicle Strike! *A spear of ice forms above the lizard and crashes down* (Heavy Ice, 10% Stun chance)

(SAN: 70%)
Gin
*Defence Master Activates. Gin uses an ice spire. Bufudyne*
(Or Freeze, going by Persona logic)
OOC: Mind if I join in one of the next few rooms? Or would you rather not.
Spectre's shots do 100 damage each to the lizard, dealing a lot of damage. (900/1,500)
The lizard dodges the icicle, dealing no damage. (You rolled a 1)
It also dodges Bufudyne. (You rolled a 1)
OOC: The more the merrier!
OOC: You can join after the next update
(Enemy turn!) The lizard breathes fire at everyone, but it unfortunately misses.
Gin
Damn. I'm rusty.
*Gin attempts to ice spike it again*
(One thing: Heavy attacks have a reduced range of damage, which means missing is more likely. I'll explain afterwards.)
Let's try this again. Icicle Strike! *She holds out her hand and tries the attack again*

(SAN: 60%)
ooc: Makes sense. Also, I'll be eating, so just have Himeno spam that attack till my return.
OOC: On you Spectre
*throws a semtex grenade at the dragon*

Heads up!
Gin's spike hits, dealing 150 damage. (750/1,500)
Icicle Strike hits as well, dealing another 150 damage. (600/1,500)
The grenade hits for 100 damage. (500/1,500)
OOC: You can join now Gamma
(Enemy turn!) The dragon bites Spectre, dealing 100 damage. (1,900/2,000)
*Gamma enters the area with a sigh. He looks around, finding Gin, Himeno and the lizard, and quickly summons his persona*
Shiranui, Deathbound
*A wave of force strikes out at the dragon for 1-2 medium phys*
Gin
Much better. Best practise my sword play aswell.
*Gin attacks with his swords. Medium physical damage X2)
*starts firing a salvo of NATO rounds on the dragon*

Your bites are weaker and my bullets punch HARD!
(All players will have 2,000 health. Most enemy's attacks will cause medium phys damage.)
Gamma's Deathbound deals 200 damage to the fire lizard. (300/1,500)
The lizard dodges the rapidly firing NATO rounds. (You rolled a 1)
The swords slice into the the reptile's skin, dealing 300 damage and killing it.
(Party wins, room complete! Advance.)
Gin
Still got it.
Sam: Oh great. Gamma's here.
*Sam does not sound happy*
*Gamma sighs and looks around the room, before stopping with his eyes on Gin*
I can tell your friend knows of me, though I can't think I've seen you around. Regardless, I trust we're all here for the same basic reason. That is, the reward. And hope that no one will let a petty grudge get in the way of that, no?
(SAN: 50%)

*Himeno rubs her head* At least it didn't do too much to us...
Gin
Sam's not me. I don't share any hatred he has for you. Name's Gin.
*Gin offers a handshake to Gamma*
*Gamma sighs and accepts Gin's handshake*
You can call me Gamma. I'm not much of one for pleasantries, so let's simply get a move on, shall we?
I have to agree with Gamma. We still have who knows how many rooms to go through.
*locks onto the dragon with his XM-53 rpg*

Target acquired!

*he shoots an explosive missile at it*
Gin
Of course. Onwards.
Sam: Surprised he actually accepted.
OOC: Ignore it that
Yesh that was a side blinder.
Room 5: As you enter the room, you feel much more hyper, like you could run a marathon! (Speed increase for next battle)
(You can choose to perform an action, or advance.)
Gin
I feel faster
Sam: How the hell does that work?
*Gin shrugs. Gin is ready to advance*
*Gamma finally notices Spectre and Himeno's presence*

Oh, sorry I didn't notice you two. Must have been preoccupied. I trust you've been able to handle yourselves?
*starts running circles*

Why do I have the urge to go fast?!
(SAN: 55%)

This feels familiar... *Himeno heads forward with renewed vigor*
*She nodsat Gamma* Yes, we have.
I am a mercenary Gamma. I know how to fight and kick ass.
*Gamma shrugs and continues forward*
Personally I didn't notice THAT big of a difference, but yeah, feels a little lighter. But we're not done yet, so lets get a move on.
OOC: Ah shoot, I accidentally closed the browser! Give me time to set this back up.
Room 6: In the middle of the room is a fountain decorated with skulls and snakes. Goblets sit on a table nearby. Do you want to drink?
(Special room!)
*Gamma sighs and looks around the room again. He looks at the goblets curiously before drinking one*
This is probably a waste of time, but well, I am feeling a bit faster from last room anyways. May as well see what this is about.
*Gamma finds that there is nothing inside the goblet, and he should probably scoop up the water with it.
Gin
It is surrounded by skulls and snakes. I'm not drinking that.
Sam: Do it. For science.
Gin: I'm dying for your science.
*Himeno shakes her head* This room just screams danger. I'm not drinking that stuff.
To late Gamma drank it...
*Gamma heads towards the fountain, scooping up some water in his goblet*
Personally, I don't see a problem with snakes. At least, no more than with most things. Skulls might be a bad sign, but it could very easily symbolize rebirth or some crap.
*Gamma now takes a drink of the water in his goblet*
The mixture weakens Gamma, causing him to do less damage next battle.
Gin
Sam: So it was poisonous. Thank you Gamma. You have contributed to my research.
Gin: Sam, you're not helping.
I tried to warn you. *Himeno sighs and begins to head onwards*
*Gamma coughs a little, before shrugging and throwing the goblet aside, before walking forward.*
Yep, that was a waste of time. Oh well, lets keep going, shall we? Preferably with less snark from your friend, Gin.
Lets go and think twice when drinking off an ominous goblet.

*follows Himeno*
Room 7: There are to be strange holes in the walls of this room. You should be cautious. (It's a trap!)
Word advise. Don't jump into the holes.
(Small holes.)
Noted. *Out of curiosity, she forms some ice around a nearby hole, trying to see if it reacted*
The hole doesn't react to the ice.
Gin
I've seen Indiana Jones. These are probably arrow traps.
*Gamma sighs and hits the ground in front of some of the holes with his staff, making sure to remain well out of the line of the holes*

This looks like something from Indiana Jones. There's probably a pressure system to activate the trap.
For some reason, the holes don't respond... how strange.
If it's not pressure plates, then maybe a tripwire? *Himeno walks towards the other side, keeping an eye out for anything unusual near her feet*
As soon as Himeno is within range of the holes, they start to rapid fire arrows.
*Gamma sighs and looks carefully around the room, especially watching the area around Himeno*
Yeah, that would be my next guess. At least, this place doesn't look advanced enough for some kind of heat detection system. Well, good luck not getting killed for science.
*Himeno tries to leap backwards, stumbling upon landing* Gah! What even- ...magic. Or some other mechanism.
I TOLD YOU THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

*he jumps away from the holes*
Gin
Do we have a shield of some kind?
*Sam detects the Despair Entity but says nothing*
*Gamma sighs and looks at the others*
Well, it obviously can't be a motion thing, otherwise my wild staff waving would have triggered it. Its not pressure, and there are no tripwires.
Thus it most likely operates based on body heat. Fortunately, I have some way to control that.
Shiranui
*Gamma's persona bursts into life around him, cooling Gamma and the area around him as he attempts to step across the room*
Once again, the arrows burst out of their holes. Strangely enough, more seem to be firing at Gamma then when Himeno tried to cross.
*shivering from the cold temperature, Himeno cautiously follows, spreading her Gift to help keep the temperature low*

(SAN: 45%)
*...however, that attempt is soon ended as Himeno jumps back again. It was easier to dodge these arrows since she wasn't as far in as last time* Great. Cold made things worse.
Hmm... why is there a glass lens in one of the holes?
*The arrows fly straight through Gamma's persona, several of them strike Gamma, he stumbles a little, but keeps running*
Screw it, I'm getting through this.
OOC: This is a good time to mention Gamma's firm stance, no need to roll for arrows hitting him. I imagine this is gonna hurt.
Are you seriously- *Himeno stares at Gamma for a moment before noticing the glass lens. Just maybe... She focuses her Gift again and sends an icicle at the lens*

(SAN: 35%)
About 10 arrows strike Gamma, each of them doing 100 damage. (1,000/2,000)
The lens shatters.
Gin
*Gin activates his wind shield and proceeds to fly though the arrows, hoping the shield will absorb damage. Wind resistance ---> null, defence up. Gin has cold body heat.*
The arrows stop firing after Gamma crosses, and don't continue firing.
(All party members survive, room complete! Advance.)
Well, that's one way to solve a puzzle... You alright, Gamma? *As she speaks, she puts a hand to her head and closes her eyes*
OOC: This just got deadly...
(Remember to always examine your surroundings. There is always something there that I don't mention.)
*Gamma looks at Himeno and sighs*
Of course I'm fine. Now lets get a move on before something else happens. Alright guys?
Room 8: A strange circular shadow is in the middle of the room, despite it being completely lit up by torches and there being nothing hanging overhead. Suddenly, the torches go out. The room starts to glow an ominous blue. It seems the shadow has morphed into a solid form. It forms it's arm into a blade. (Battle start!)
Alright. *Himeno straightens up and heads towards the next room*
(SAN: 40%)

Another battle? Bad timing, too. But it can't be helped. Burn! *She snaps her fingers to engulf the shadow in flames (heavy Fire)*

(SAN: 30%)
Gin
Here we go
*Defence master activated. Wind Barrier active: 2 turn. Gin expands his wind barrier to strike the shadow. Heavy wind.*
The flames don't effect the shadow, but he immediately puts it out for some reason.
The wind knocks the shadow back, but it doesn't hurt him.
*attack master activates, probably doesn't matter*
Alright lets see, room had light, no longer has light. Shadow put out the fire......
Himeno, focus on lighting Torches, I want to see how much it dislikes my persona.
*Shiranui bursts into life around Gamma, giving off a faint blue glow to the area around him, as Gamma prepares to guard*
OOC: U still there spectre
ooc: ...it may be best to update at this point
OOC: Going to eat later so I'll make my last action for the next battle.
The shadow backs away from the Persona. It suddenly lunges at Gamma, dealing 100 damage to him (reduced damage from block) (900/2,000)
Eat lead!

*shoots 4 thermite bullets at the monster dealing fire damage*
The bullets pass through the shadow, but it starts to cower.
*Gamma slowly advances towards the shadow, still blocking*
Not sure if you idiots heard me, but it hates light, not heat. Make light, like lighting the torches, and it'll probably run.
The torches? On it. *She darts away, focusing her Gift on two of the torches. If successful, both will catch fire. Once the action is done, Himeno suddenly winces at a sharp pain in her head*

(SAN: 20%)
The action is unsuccessful, and the torches are not lit.
Gin
*Gin spins his shield rapidly, guarding. Wind Shield: 1 turn remaining.*
ooc: gotta go for the night
OOC: Alright, I guess we'll end the session right here. Next session is 1:00 PM MDT.
OOC: I hope the test went pretty well for you m8. I'll probably miss the session start again.
OOC: Next session starts in an hour!
OOC: I am back

ooc: The appointed time has arrived. Himeno Akatsuki, reporting for duty!
Gin
OOC: As promised.
OOC: Alright, starting!
Current stats: Gin still has his wind shield up. (1 turn remaining) The shadow has not been hurt at all. (1,000/1,000) Himeno is trying to light the torches.
(Enemy turn!) The shadow casts Debilitate on Himeno, weakening her attacks.
(Player turn!)
(SAN: 15%)

That's... not good... *Himeno looks around for anything else that can catch fire... or for a reason why the torches didn't light*
(Just to remind you, the success of all actions are determined by a randomizer.)
Gin
*Gin kicks his shield at the shadow. It detonates dealing Heavy Wind damage*

ooc: Good to know

ic: *Himeno focuses only on lighting one torch this time, due to her worsening headache*

(SAN: 10%)
(Just waiting for Spectre)
(Updating.)
The wind knocks the shadow back against the wall, but it doesn't do any damage.
The torch doesn't light, unfortunately. (Rolled a 0)
ooc: ...enemy turn? Spec seems to have vanished.
(Enemy turn!) The shadow attacks Himeno with his shadow blade, dealing 100 damage (1,900/2,000
OOC: Sorry, something came up.
(SAN: 5%)

*Himeno stumbles back. She holds her knife up defensively with shaky hands* I can't...

(Guarding, also restores SAN to 10% as a result)
ooc: Understandable have a nice day
OOC: Wait what, no, I mean before my last post























OOC: That's why I was absent for a while








OOC: Wait, what happened to that post?
Gin
OOC: So much space. Lol
OOC: I dunno what happened. Anyway, make your move.
Gin
*Gin glances around the room whilst guarding*
Seeing Himeno weak, it gives the shadow time to attack Gin, doing another 100 damage, which is reduced by the guard. (1,950/2,000)
*After regaining some composure, Himeno takes the risk of attempting to light a torch again* K-keep him busy...

(SAN: 5%)
Gin
If you insist.
*Gin attempts to create an Ice wall around the shadow to prevent it attacking*
The ice wall surrounding it, the shadow becomes a normal shadow again, and slips under the ice wall.
The torch successfully lights. The shadow groans in pain. (800/1,000)
Gin
You're on the right track. But, uh, you don't look so good. Maybe, you should rest for a bit. I'll handle the defence.
*Gin re-applies his wind barrier. Wind resistance ---> Null. Defence up
*Himeno nods, stepping away from the shadow and torches. She keeps her guard up while taking deep breaths to calm down*

(SAN: 10%)
(Enemy turn!) The shadow tries to attack Gin... but is blown away by her barrier.
Gin
*Gin makes a come at me motion with his hand, keeping his guard up. Wind Barrier up: 2*
So, we just light the torches to damage it... I'll get on that... in a second. *She seems less shaky than before, but decides to guard one more turn. Just in case.*

(SAN: 15%)
The shadow decides to attack HImeno with his blade, but her shakiness made her hard to hit, somehow.
Gin
*Gin steps in front of the shadow, attempting to deflect the shadows blows. Wind Shield up: 1*
I can't hurt you, but I can stall you until the one who can is ready.

*Gin's wind shield dissipates, dropping him to the floor. He attempts to surround the shadow in a ice wall again.*
*Himeno steps behind Gin while trying to light a third torch* I'll... have to rest after this, so... keep its attention off me.

Himeno's attempt to light another torch is unsuccessful.
The shadow once again turns into darkness and goes under the ice wall. Although, he won't be able to do anything this turn.
Darn it... *Himeno guards again, her breathing becoming erratic again* If you have any way to spread fire from one torch to another...

Sure. I've got this.
Sam: It's sneaky though. Careful.
*Gin freezes the area slightly above the floor around the shadow, trying to stop it rising back to it's physical form again*
The shadow tries to rise through the ice. It slightly cracks, but the shadow does not escape. (1 turn remaining)
Let's try this again... *Himeno glares at a torch, as if daring it to not catch fire.*

Spread the fire? I wonder. Haven't tried this on a while, but maybe it could work
*Gin attempts to use his wind to transfer fire from one torch to another.*
Neither of the attempts work. Meanwhile, the ice completely cracks, and the shadow rises through.
Gin
Damn it.
Sam: You are out of practise.
Gin: Shut up
*Gin focuses and tries again*
G...good luck with that... *She guards again, although almost subconsciously distances herself from Gin*

The attempt succeeds. The shadow seems like it's withering away... (400/1,000)
The torches lit, the shadow moves to the other side of the room and tries to gather more darkness. (2 turns till heal)

Sam: That looks bad
Gin: I'll deal with him in a minute
*Gin tries again to transfer the fire to another torch with his wind*
That's... not a good sign... *She focuses on one of the remaining torches, stepping even farther away from Gin. Why she is doing the latter is unclear*

Both attempts become successful... the shadow fades, and all of the torches light again. (Party wins, room complete! Advance.)
We did it... *Himeno's whole body is shaking. She tries her best to compose herself and heads onwards*

You sure you don't want to rest here for a while?
*Himeno is about to object, but sighs* I guess that would be best...
