Sadly, I have yet to own an actual FE game, but playing Conquest with my friend was a wild ride. RNG shenanigans and Arthur being awesome.

I gotta go with Echoes, it would have been better without the turnwheel though. But I love the characters, (Except faye) , the story is good, and I really like Alms character. So yeah, weirdly, even though I cried more in fates and not at all in this game... Echoes is still fun to me. Also to mention gaiden ,the original this was great. XD

I think it's mostly the dungeons that made it for me.

Echoes as well here. The level of polish on the game is just really amazing, and coming off the train-wreck of a story that is Fates, having a decent story for a FE game again felt pretty refreshing. Right behind that would be Mystery of the Emblem (Or New Mystery, I like both) and Path of Radiance.

Fire Emblem 7. But I haven't got Echoes yet, so that might change.

Although I've only played to around chapter 6, Sacred Stones is my favorite Fire Emblem game.

Also to the previously mentioned Alexie I counter with this

Echoes or Sacred Stones. Yeah it's piss easy, but the characters make it good. Echoes is just a breath of fresh air to me, since I've never played Gaiden.

It's a tie between Fates and Awakening. I like the story in awakening, but the different routes in fates is awesome!

I'm a fan of FE7, which I do believe is Blazing Sword in Japan and just Fire Emblem for us Americans. Its fairly challenging, even on normal, and I find the story to be interesting if you pay it enough attention
