The statues are immense and their vibrant red eyes seem to follow your every movement. Snapping out of the momentary daze you finally notice the glass doors of the building and a pamphlet in your hand.) (The pamphlet states ...) *A silver-haired young man stops in front of the door.* A hotel? I think I have some money... And I could use a place to stay after wandering for so long... *He pauses for a moment.* Yeah, yeah, ironic that a snake comes to a snake-themed hotel. Let's just go. *He opens the door and steps inside, pulling down the hood of his green and black hoodie.*
A spa, huh...? Well, I could take a day to relax, I suppose.
Ene
(Upon entering Hundred is instantly able to see that the interior of the place matches up with the exterior. A grand hall lies right in front of him decorated with traditional works of art and lined with medieval style suits of armor. On each side of the hall lies a massive staircase made entirely of marble which easily matches the floor underneath. The ceiling itself is in a huge arching design and chandeliers decorated with more golden snakes hang from it. The hotel appears to be the epitome of fancy living and the soft stirrings of violin in the air only seem to rive the fact home.) (Down the hall past both the staircases lies a giant desk with a massive sign above it saying "Guest Check In".)
*Gamma reads the pamphlet a few times and looks at the hotel* That last line... "we promise that you will never want to go anywhere else." Sounds like a myth I heard once. *chuckle* I'll be careful not to eat any lotuses. *and so Gamma takes one last look at the snake statues before stepping inside*
It's... very fancy. *He's completely stunned by the interior. He shakes his head at nothing in particular.* Alright, I'm going. *He walks up to the desk, pausing every now and then to admire the interior.*
*Gamma looks around with a smile* Never expected to find such a pleasant place around here. Usually it's just gloomy and depressing. *Gamma catches sight of the white-haired man and decides to follow him up to the front desk*
Ene
(At the "Guest Check In" desk there is massive book labeled as "Sign In" and a tiny bell with a sign labeled "Service" in front of it. No one currently appears to working at the desk and there are a bunch of key cards lying a bit away from the "Sign In" book.)
*He looks at the book, then scribbles something in an empty spot. "Aoi."* I just need to ring this to get a room, right? *He nods to himself and rings the bell.*
*Gamma looks over at Aoi, then takes a step back* Last I checked we're supposed to pay before we take a room, but whatever. *Gamma leans back and looks around again*
*Wanders on in as well and takes a look about.* Hmm.... check in, huh? Guess that's where I start.
*Gamma waves over to Migrant* Looks like you're just in time. Whitey and I are waiting for the employees. After all, kinda proper to pay for a room.
Oh great.... well you two can go figure out some terrible secret like usual. I'll just be here trying to relax.
Oh, right. I'm not too used to hotels, so... *Aoi laughs nervously, then takes a closer look at the two.* Wait, Gamma? And... *He searches for a name, but can't remember this girl that well*
*Gamma chuckles* Wonderful. Well Mig, if they offer you any lotus flowers be sure to eat it. I heard they're quite good for your health, though they may not taste the best.
Ene
(The name immediately appears to burn into the book as the ringing of the bell vibrates throughout the hall. Yet no one appears as a red key card suddenly materializes in Hundred's hands along with a huge packet.) (The red key card has a golden number etched into it and Hundred appears to get a strange feeling of excitement and anticipation from it.) (Sporting the traditional happy family photo the packet goes into detail listing all the activities available at the hotel. It has over fifty pages and a whole series of menus for all the restaurants available. There is a complex map on the back of the packet showing all the different activity floors as well as the location of the rooms.)
*PK looks at the pamphlet he was given for a second before throwing it away, laughing at his inability to read before reaching the group of people there, waving and shouting for everyone to hear Hello everyone! What do we have here! A sign in! Ooh! Let me try! *PK then scrambles for the pen and writes down his name, however his inabilty to write leaves a horrendous misspelling of his name ending in "Puncuck Knave"
A card? *Aoi flips it over, examining it. It's probably something important. After tilting his head, he walks off, opening the pamphlet.* I know. I'll just keep an eye out...
ooc: I must go for now, so Aoi's just gonna get lost like the weird birb he is
*after waiting for a moment with no answer, and seeing Aoi walk off, Gamma looks back to the book* Guess it's magic or something. Should have known. *Gamma sees PK sign and sighs* You have no restraint do you? Oh well, there wasn't much of a line anyways. *Gamma takes the pen from PK and writes "Gamma" in the book*
*is looking at the hotel outside* Wow, this place is huge! I finally found a good place to relax. *walks in*
Ene
(Pk's name undergoes the same burning effect as a red card also appears in his hand along with a huge packet.)
Well then, I guess I'll sign in after you, Gamma. *Waits on Gamma to finish...*
*notices everyone and waves, then realizes it's a line for the sign in and gets in line after migrant*
Ene
(Gamma's name goes through the same process as a red card appears in his hand completing it's presence with the arrival of a packet.) (A sign suddenly appears the desk saying ....) Enjoy your stay here valued guest! This is a place of limitless fun.
Well I hope that sign doesn't mean they're booked full. *grabs the pen and signs her name!*
*Gamma looks at the sign for a moment, before turning back to the map* I wonder where the arcade is. Seems like the best place to start.
Ene
(Migrant's name burns into the book and the now common red card appears in her hands along wth the activities packet.)
Alright! *grabs the card and activities book, before checking for a room number on the card.*
Alright, I'm up now. *signs his name*
*Gamma finally identifies it on his map and slowly makes his way to the arcade* How is this place so big anyways? Nevermind, answer's probably magic. It always seems robbed the answer.
Ene
(Bona's name burns into the book and the popular red card appears in his hands along with the activities packet.) (Upon checking her card Migrant is able to see the room number of "100")
*Mig's first stop, naturally, is Room 100 then! Gotta check them fluffy beds.*
Huh. Neat. *checks the activities packet to see what there is to do*
*The rouge assassin enters* Huh, wonder how fast I can paint this place with blood...
*He looks around the hotel's lobby, carefully inspecting the room* Hmm... Give me twenty minutes and this room'll have a nice deep red tint... *He smirks maniacally*
*Gamma finds the arcade and, to his surprise, there's not only a large variety of arcade machines, but even a wide selection of consoles, both handheld and larger, with a wall of games to go with them. He looks around at the selection for a while, before grabbing a simple portable system, with one game* I haven't seen this one since.... Well.... Since I was last home.... I.... *Gamma finds a comfortable corner of the room to sit down and start in*
Ene
(Taking an elevator all the way up to the 10th floor Mig find her room just a few doors down. Upon entering the room she sees a massive area and instantly matches her idea of what a home should be like. It is almost as if she stepped into the home of her dreams yet she is able to experience all of it.)
Ene
(Upon checking the packet Mona sees every single activity he ever dreamed of doing and more.)
Woah..... There's so much to do! I think I'll.......Check out the arcade! *goes to look for the arcade*
Ene
(Bona arrives at the arcade by following the map and taking the same path as Gamma.)
*04 finds the arcade, as I've described above. In addition he sees Gamma sitting in a padded chair in the corner, engrossed in game* I forgot how slowly it started. At least I was able to turn the tutorial off that takes forever
Wow... This is just like home! It's... A bit creepy... *flops on da bed*
Woah......*starry eyes* It's huge! I think every game ever released is here! *immediatley goes to look for the game cube games*
*After a while Gamma sighs and looks around, though he misses Bona* Oddly quiet around here, but no matter. *Gamma looks back to the game* Who was it, Kent? That was her favorite. May as well use him as convenient. Never liked the rest of Lyn's group.
*hes playing a game with a pink puffball on a star* Playing this game feels so nostalgic....
OOC: btw, I know it's intimidating or whatever, but this isn't really being GMed, just kinda do whatever. At least for now. IC: *sigh* I miss my first time. Was much more challenging then. For now, I've just got to slog through it, right Shi- *Gamma blinks and looks around, as though forgetting he was alone* I.... I guess I forgot for a moment.... Nevermind.
*is too absorbed in the game to talk*
*Aoi's mindless wandering finally yields some results, and he finds himself at the arcade.* So there's Gamma and... *He glances at Bona before wandering over to one of the game systems.*
*at this point Gamma's simply mumbling to himself* Took long enough.... Finally get to..... Oh, yeah, new game..... Can't start with Hector.... I should... *Gamma finally looks up to see Aoi* Oh, not so alone anymore.
ooc: Sorry, was busy typing something else ic: *Aoi gives Gamma a small wave.* Hey there. What are you playing? *He looks at the screen, noticing the sprites displayed* That's one of those... Fia Emblem games, right?
Ooc: insert FIAA EMBUREM joke here
*Gamma quickly turns off the game and looks back at Aoi* It was, yes. Blazing Sword's what it was called in Japan, just Fire Emblem in English. It was the first one I got. Such an old game I'm a little surprise it was here
It looks interesting... I've never really been that into human video games. I could never play them correctly, after all. But now that I'm here, I might give them a shot...
Saeko wanders to the front of the hotel, in awe of what she sees in front of her, and glances back down at the pamphlet in her hand. “I do need a place to stay… but…” She digs into her pocket and only pulls out a dozen silver coins. “I doubt I could even afford to stay in such an elegant place for longer than an hour…” Deciding to inquire inside before giving up, Saeko walks inside, still dragging her backpack with her as always. Quietly stepping through the interior, glancing around in awe, she finds herself in front of the check in desk. Confused by the lack of anyone on the other side, she looks around for a bit before her eyes settle on the sign in book. She freezes up a bit, becoming tense from just looking at it. “T-That’s…”
*I dunno how many names Saeko'd recognize other than Gamma's, but either way the book's pretty fancy, the person who'd normally describe this is gone, so I'll do a patch job for now* *Gamma puts back the game and looks around* Your name's Aoi, right? I'd like to show you something. It's a fighting game that's legendary where I come from for how terrible it is. If they have it, I'm sure it'll be a laugh. *after searching the shelves for a few minutes, Gamma returns with a game called "Shaq-Fu"*
*Wakes up on the bed....* Huh? Did I fall asleep? It is a soft bed, and I feel so refreshed. *Hmms and reads the booklet before starting off toward the game room.*
"Shaq-Fu"? *Aoi stares at the box. It doesn't look terrible, but the game itself... He grins.* I need to see this, if it's that bad. Let's get it started!
Huh? Oh, hey you two. *Waves to Aoi and Gamma*
*peeks out from where the game cube stuff is and waves at migrant*
*Gamma smiles back before searching for the appropriate console* Depends on how you view it really. It's so simple and repetitive, it's kinda a disgrace to fighting games. But it can be quite fun regardless. *Gamma finds the console and boots up the old thing. The game actually looks to be quite detailed in spite of its age* Well, want to try the wonderful story? Or just face each other?
What's all this, then?
It's the game room. It's really cool. They even got my favorite video game ever: Kirby air ride!
*Gamma hears Migrant and turns back around* I was just checking out the arcade, for curiosity's sake. They really seem to have everything. *chuckle* Even really crappy old games. Bet you could find Big Rigs if you looked hard enough.
After blankly staring for a while, Saeko finally snaps back to reality and looks around before taking the pen and putting it to the paper. "I hope no one minds if I just..." She seems to force herself to write 'Saeko Murakami' in the book, before setting the pen down and taking a step back.
Hm... Might as well mess with story mode. Mind if I snatch the controller?
Anything? Hmm..... *looks in the strategy department!* OOC: Surprised nobody has found Persona 5 here. :P
*Saeko's name seems to burn in the book. Before she knows it, there's a red keycard in Saeko's hand, as well as a rather thick pamphlet featuring the typical pictures of happy families having fun at the various attractions, and a map of the enormous place. Everything feels calm, like returning home after a long period on-duty*
*Gamma hands the controls over to Aoi* Knock yourself out. The story's the best part anyways. Trust me, you'll LOVE it.
A dazed Saeko looks down and sees the card and pamphlet. "Huh? When did I...?" She looks them over in confusion before looking closer at the card and map. "So my room is here... Guess I shall go there first. I hope there is a shower..." Saeko finally breaks away from her daze and makes off to her room.
*after a while Saeko manages to find her room. It is very large and furnished comfortably in her ideal style. To the side she can see an open doorway that seems to indicate a bathroom*
*A blonde boy, seemingly somewhere in his late teens steps through the revolving door in the hotel lobby. He wears a blue uniform indicating that he's in high school. He has a long, black, belt-like piece of cloth wrapped around his right arm. He seems to be clutching his temples, and is shaking his head.* Godamnit. My eyes sting, why the hell is it so bright in here? Wha... *He looks around, his eyes finally adjusted to the light of the hotel. * Where the hell am I?!
ooc: Now that the stream's over... ic: *Aoi selects the story mode from the menu. A cutscene begins to play.* "Big warrior"? Off to a good start already.
*is still playing Kirby air ride* Dedede, after many years, I have defeated you! Haha!
(Upon entering Lowe is soon able to see that the interior of the place matches up with the exterior. The hotel appears to be the epitome of fancy living and the soft stirrings of violin in the air only seem to rive the fact home. Down the hall past these staircases is a guest help desk, there's an open book on it with a small sign and bell nearby) OOC thank you copy paste IC: *Gamma hangs back a bit as he watches Aoi* Don't worry, it only gets more nonsensical from there.
*After that little intro, Aoi is soon fighting a magic lady or something. After a bit of button mashing, he moves his character to the left.* Is it just me, or does Shaq seem a bit... bouncy when walking? Why is he a basketball player, anyway?
Well you see, in my world Shaw was an actual celebrity. He was a famous basketball player. *chuckle* The better question is why he's a martial arts master.
OOC;*Shaq. I guess my phone doesn't believe in Shaquille O'Neil
Who would make a fighting game about a player? *Through much button mashing and a bit of luck, the lady is defeated.* That's one down... but there's a lot of places on the map. How many fights are there?
Wow, this place feels a bit too upscale for me. I'd like to just get going, but considering my circumstances I guess I should look around a bit. *Lowe goes to the front desk, leaning forward on it and ringing the bell.*
That player. He insisted on this game's development himself. Not the weirdest thing he ever did. If I remember correctly this version has 9 fights, with a random cutscenes after the fifth or so. But I never played it myself, only heard about it. So I'm not entirely positive
*Was idly playing something on a 3DS while glancing at Aoi from time to time*
Odd thing to do. Well, at least- *He lands the finishing blow on his next opponent* -these fights go quickly... although the characters feel floaty.
*A while after Lowe rings the bell...... Nothing happens. Glancing over at the guest book, he sees several names have already been written*
You sound like you're used to this kinda game. But yeah, the physics in-game are lighter than in most similar games.
*Lowe looks around, seeing as nobody is going to help him he figures he'll help himself. He pulls a pen from the inner pocket of his jacket and writes his own name in the next open spot of the guest book. He puts the pen away with a satisfied smile.* This is far from the weirdest thing I've come across I guess. 'Spose I should look around a bit. *He starts walking down one of the hallways without a real destination in mind.*
I probably just noticed this 'cause I'm used to the speedier, sturdier fighting of real life. Then again, games can't perfectly emulate that. *After a few more rounds, another cutscene appears.* A skeleton army? Very original.
*as Lowe walks down the hall he soon notices there's a keycard and pamphlet in his hands. The pamphlet includes a map of the hotel, as previously described* OOC: and with that I gtg. This place has pretty much everything so enjoy. I'll be back in 20 minutes or so
*Gamma chuckles st the next cutscene* Don't worry about that one. Trust me, it's one of the best parts.
You know, I never realized how great this "fire emblem" thing is. How about your game, whitie?
*Aoi continues playing...* ooc: And I must nom food.
It's... an experience.
Ooc: I'm using an alt right now, but it's Bona. Just wanted to say C O N S U M E. That's all, thanks for watching.
Wow, this place is way bigger than I expected, and that's really saying something. Hm, I should be questioning how these things ended up in my hands, but considering how I straight up got teleport in I'm not gonna question it for now. Hmm, I like games, so to the arcade it is! *He sets off, looking for the promised land of vidya. *
OOC: *Teleported oops
After her ‘quick’ shower, Saeko puts her uniform back on. Finally feeling refreshed now that her messy hair and skin has been taken care of, washed of the build up of sand and dirt from the last week. Leaving her backpack in the room, she wanders out with the pamphlet open to a map and decides to look around a bit. Before long, after exploring some other places, she comes to find the game room, and other within. “Oh, so there are people here besides me. That is reassuring at least.”
*is really engrossed in the game*
*Lowe arrives in the game room, and looks around impressed.* Wow, they really are fully stocked in here. This place certainly lives up to the appearance. *He walks over to a shelf, shuffling through the games lining it idly.*
*Gamma faintly overhears Lowe and Saeko, and turns to the game room's entrance* Oh, hey, some more people. Wonderful. Honestly, I'm kinda surprised to find how... Well, not normal I guess, but... Perhaps cool is the word? Glad I found this place honestly. Even parks have been chaos for me recently
Yeah who'd have guessed a hotel and resort would be the cool new hangout! Maybe it's my life experiences with snakes, but I expected this to be some front for controlling our minds, or making us into snakes, or just flat killing us.
*After witnessing the beauty that is Shaq-Fu's ending, Aoi takes a look around the room.* This place is getting quite popular...
Yeah, me too mig. I just kinda wanted to check it out.
*Gamma chuckles* Personally I've found snakes to be pretty cool..... Even though some of them are assholes... Though I guess Hazama's not really a snake..... I dunno, but that's not really the point. Maybe you should give them a second chance. *Gamma looks back to Aoi* Well, did you find the skeleton soldiers?
And a demon that apparently plays basketball. This... *He points at the screen* This is art.
*at the mention of hazama, bona freezes, doing nothing*
I mean so far the only snakes I've met have either wanted to kill me, been possessing people against their will, or Hazama. So yeah...
"This place does seem quite calm, considering what I was told to expect during my stay in this city," she chuckled. "Can't say I am fond of the snakes however." Saeko walks around the game room, looking at the things around her inquisitively.
Well, that's actually one of the more consistent parts. After all, the Beast did promise to travel through time to fight Shaq again..... On the courts apparently *Gamma turns back to Migrant* Have you tried talking to them? In my experience they can actually be decent people if you look past the fact they're snakes. Though you may have to stop the whole "attempted murder" thing first.
*Lowe shudders a bit, and has to breathe slowly to keep his composure. * Gah, I hate snakes. Can't stand the sight of them.
"I'm right here, you know." *A small black snake peeks out of Aoi's sleeve.* *Aoi promptly shoves him back in.* Shush.
*Lowe jumps at the sight of the snake, a not at all manly squeak coming out of his mouth. * G-geez! I uh...I'm sorry Mr. Snake. You just look scary is all.
As Saeko perused the strange devices, she overheard Gamma's suggestion of talking to the snakes, and began giggling. "Somehow I find it doubtful that the snakes are capable of negotiation, Mister Gamma."
I mean..... I've not really tried talking to them.... But I mean possessing people? That seems a bit beyond the realm of good. And Hazama is just Hazama.
I mean..... I've not really tried talking to them.... But I mean possessing people? That seems a bit beyond the realm of good. And Hazama is just Hazama.
OOC: Nice double post, site. *Blinks at Aoi* Was that a snake?
"No offense taken." *The snake head weaves its way past Aoi's hand and turns to look at Lowe* "This is probably the least scariest form I can take. Honestly, why are people afraid of snakes? Non-poisonous snakes can bite, but they're not venomous. The number of poisonous snake species in-" That's enough, Typhoeus. *The poor snake is shoved back into the sleeve.*
*Gamma sighs and looks back to Saeko* Remember what I said earlier? Here, well, the rules that apply in your world, things like animals can't talk, don't necessarily mean anything. I met a snake who was also a stage magician. There's some weird stuff.
*Gamma turns back to Migrant and chuckles* I mean, as we're both aware, possession isn't really a snake trait, don't blame them all for it. And well, Hazama's kinda a prick. But he's honest about it. So.... I guess it could be worse?
Really, though, what is it with the Nexus and snakes? *What is it with the Nexus and Nekos, Mig? Huh? HUH!?*
Well, snakes are a common animal, it's pretty reasonable that a lot of them would get dragged in from different places. I mean, I guess I haven't really asked around, but I think everyone knows what a snake is.
G-geez. If that's your least scary form, I hate to see your worst.
"Hm, a stage magician?" She giggles, "Surely." After fiddling with some of the machines in the room and failing to understand what they are, she finally turns around to face them and ask a question. "If you do not mind me asking, who are these 'snakes'? It does not seem as though you are speaking of literal snakes now."
No. No. We are. Well and Hazama.
*Gamma sighs and shakes his head* Look, it's clear you're not going to believe me, let's just leave if at "a wizard did it". When I said "individuals from all sorts of places" I didn't mean they were all human. There are many more.... Interesting things around.... You somehow haven't seen yet.
Saeko scratches her head in confusion as she thinks back to some of the things she overheard, trying to figure out how it makes sense with literal snakes in mind. "R-Right... and this... 'Hazama'? Must not be known for good reasons if you consider him a snake as well."
[The young man has been walking around the city for a while now, and nothing of interest has happened after the whole Setsuna bother.] What can I guy like me do when he's bored to death? [But after walking for a bit, he takes notice of a big building with the theme of snakes. Kazuma can't help but smirk and clap once.] Oh, fancy~! Mind as well just go, after all, the twin snakes make me feel even more curious! [He waves at the snake statues as he walks in, then noticing the small group of individuals.] Ah, nice to see you all again. Our meeting must be fate if we run into eachother so much, even when the city is gigantic!
*Gamma simply shrugs, both arms stretched out to the side* Well, he's kinda a prick, simply put. Not a very nice guy. But there are worse to be sure.
Yeah, of the "will try and kill you while also trying to blow you up" variety.
*Gamma waves to Kazuma as he enters the Arcade area* Call it fate or whatever, who cares? We were just talking about snakes, weird how that came about.
In between the flood of Internal Server Errors, Saeko puts aside her confusion and questions to take out her pocket watch and check the time. "Hm, I see. I hate to depart, but I think I shall go back to my room for a while. Another time perhaps, we can continue this." Saeko waves to everyone in the room as she begins walking out, towards her room.
Always so rude and out of nowhere, I like that of you, Pink guy. [He pats Gamma's shoulder as he chuckles for a bit.] You, dog can at least bark, even if you lacks the fangs to do anything beyond that. [He walks past Gamma towards a nearby seat, leaning against it as he waves Saeko good bye.] That's too bad, and just when I got here. Well, see you around "Pretty lady".
*Gamma sighs and shakes his head* This is neither the time nor place for that Kazuma..... If you don't mind, I'm gonna look for some more hilariously bad games..... I wonder if Big Rigs is around here somewhere.
On her way out she stops for a moment and looks back over her right shoulder, the eyepatch preventing any emotion from being seen. "The name is... Saeko. Not 'pretty lady'." She resumes her exist, not stopping again til she reaches her room.
[He shrugs.] There's always time for honesty, but go ahead. [He makes a quick hand gesture, dismissing them without much of a care on his face.]
*after looking around for a while, Gamma sighs* Well, I guess that one barely counted as a game anyways, never really finished. *Gamma's stomach growls* How long have I been down here again? I should get something to eat.
Ene
(At a snap from shadowed fingers the magnificence of Naga Luxury Resorts comes to life once again. As it's lights turn back on the hotel itself glows like a jewel in a sea of mediocrity. Everything inside it resets to it's original condition as the guest book on the counter turns blank. The transformation finally completes once the many snake statues of the hotel turn a brilliant golden.) (Now the hotel lies in wait for guests of every caliber.)
*wakes up* Wow, that was a really long sleep. I feel amazing! These beds are so comfy! And the atmosphere....Its just like home! *just lays on the bed*
Ene
OOC: Anyone is welcome to join and no prior knowledge is needed. The hotel exists for free use and your experience in it is all up to you.
(The girl walks in from some offbeat path looking around wide eyes at the various statues and stares in the eyes of the snakes a moment) Wow these things are pretty... Kinda creepy too but nowhere near a Witch! (The girl skips up to the check in counter looking around for someone at work) Huh I guess nobody is here... Oh well I see key cards yay! (Homura looks down at the book with a shrug before writing her name in it and taking a key card) Hmm I wonder if anyone else is around... Maybe there'll be someone fun to talk with! (A wide grin crosses her face as the girl absently wanders off in the direction she thinks her room is)
*A blue blur zooms by the building before skidding to a halt and returning before an eye can be blinked. The blur is none other than Sonic the Hedgehog, looking over the hotel with curiosity in his eyes.* Well this is new. Haven't seen this place before... And I don't remember getting this pamphlet either. Something's not right here. I better check it out. *He walks into the hotel and takes a good look around the lobby. His body seems relaxed, but his eyes are focused.*
*The girl stares in shock at at the sudden burst of movement, her eyes trying to follow him yet somehow failing in spite of her power* What!? Where on Earth did you come from strange talking Hedgehog like thing? *Homura tilts her head at him as a look of confusion crosses her face, the girl pulls her glasses off closes her eyes cleans them and looks again... Seeing he is in fact not from poor vision, she quickly blushes and bows for a moment before looking back up with an embarrassed smile and a giggle* Oh um I'm very sorry about that... I've got a bad habit of overreacting to things sometimes so please forgive me, I'm Homura Akemi by the way and it's nice to meet you! *She bows once more before grinning at him and waving, clearly looking a bit more calm*
Ene
(Eventually Homura's aimless wandering actually leads her to an already opened room. Inside she can see her bedroom from back home along with any items she had in it.) (As Sonic look around he is unable to find anything amiss in the lobby.)
Ene
OOC: Ignore meh post. Jajaja rip
OOC: Sorry... I guess for once I actually typed too fast? I'm impressed with myself but wow weird. She just got horriblly lost somehow or something I dunno.
*He looks up at Homura and flashes her a smile as he waves her surprise off.* Don't worry about it. Happens to the best of us. I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog. Most know me as the fastest thing alive. Nice to meet you Homura. *Sonic dashes over to her, stopping with his hand outstretched.* Some hotel though. There's not even anyone to check us in. Who am I going to ask to carry my luggage?
*Gamma wakes up in his room. The room is fairly small, roughly 8x8 meters, with little inside, only a bed, a chair, and a television. Of course, there's a connecting bathroom that's less individualized* *yawn* guess I fell asleep without noticing. No matter, I'm sure there's something more around here today. *and so, after getting out of bed, Gamma walks into the bathroom to bathe and such before heading out into the hotel*
(The girl giggles at his lax nature and shrugs before taking his hand for a moment then looking around, she closes her eyes for a moment as though trying to feel magic) I'm not sure about that... But they just give out the rooms for no reason, honestly if I had an actual place to sleep I'd probably just walk away but I don't! Haha funny right? (Homura looks a bit startled at her own words before sighing as she mutters) Great now I sound like some loon who ran away from home or something. (The girl beams at him and raises her voice, it's tone back to the usual cheer) Well anyways I don't have a clue about that but I believe I know where the rooms are! (She walks off in the direction of hers wondering if he'll follow)
Hmm... Well I guess I haven't slept on a bed in a while myself. If there's nothing fishy going on then I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay. No harm in checking it out though. *He tosses one of the key cards into the air and catches it. He had somehow gone and got one and written his name down in the guestbook while Homura was talking.* Lead the way. *He follows Homura, walking backwards by her side with his hands over his head.* So how'd you end up in the Nexus? This place has taken so many people from all over it's tough to keep track.
*on his way to the hotel food court Gamma passes by Sonic and Homura. After doing a double-take at the sight of the blue hedgehog.... He clears his throat* Well, I see this wonderful little hotel's attracting all sorts of people as well. Regardless, I'm sure you'll enjoy the stay here, however long it is. *Gamma glances around the hall, before waving at the pair continuing on his way* Weird that no one seems to be running it though.
(Homura shrugs to herself and glances at him with a pondering look on her face) Hmm how I got here? (She raises a finger up to her chin) I'm not totally sure on that myself... One moment I'm doing something perfectly normal for myself then the next I wake up in a back alley here in the Nexus, the Tokyo part to be exact. (Homura gives him a curious look and taps her finger against her face thinking about the events) I guess I can't say more than that... Oh what about you though!? (She grins and claps excitedly for a moment) I'm betting you've been on some pretty interesting Adventures right? So how'd you end up here Sonic?
*Sonic raises an eyebrow at Gamma, but returns his wave before responding to Homura's questions.* Me? Well funny thing about that. There was this faker running around claiming to be me and I had to find out what it was all about. So I ran after him until I ended up here. He went on about being me even though he couldn't have been, but I eventually figured it'd save me the trouble if I just accepted it. The fake Sonic just sort of faded away after that, and I felt like I gained some sort of power. Very different from chaos energy though... Oh, you probably wouldn't know about that would you? *He finishes his short tale with a sigh before asking Homura his question.*
Chaos energy... No clue what that is. (She rubs at her chin lost in thought for a few minutes before snapping her fingers) I think I know what the other thing is though, it sounds like how some people have gotten those Personas that I've seen around before! (Homura pushes her glasses and raises her hand up then clenches her fist as though to smash something) Persona! (She laughs and rubs the back of her head) Or something like that anyways I don't have one, my powers aren't like those at all so yeah I'm not too sure. (She sighs and her head falls looking down at the ground) Sorry about not being more help... I'm magic sure but it's not as though this stuff is something I've studied or anything so I'm no expert.
Don't worry about it. If it really is one of those Personas then I'll figure it out eventually. I was able to learn how to use chaos control just from seeing it done, this can't be much harder if I try. *Sonic let's out a short whistle before continuing.* Magic though huh? I've experience a bit of some myself before. What kind do you have? I bet it's pretty strong.
[Emu walks up to the front of the building and looks at the front of it, making sure to closely examine the exterior.] So, my search for information in this world led me here. Where am I exactly anyway? Well, guess nothing to do but walk inside... [Emu walks into the hotel and begins looking around the premise.]
(The girl giggles and shrugs as a small shield with an hourglass in the center appears on her right wrist) Well actually it kinda is? My magic is stopping time. It's really very costly though so I can't use my power too much otherwise... (Her face goes dark for a moment before she puts her smile back on with a slight shiver) Well let's just say that it's very bad if I ever run out so I don't plan to... I do have some other powers that aren't as hard on me though! (A purple barrier shimmers to life for a moment before both it and her shield vanish as she grins at him) Like that for example!
*Sonic shoots a worried look when Homura alludes to what over using her powers could do, but quickly going back to nonchalantly looking at the ceiling.* Stopping time? That's pretty dangerous. Remind me to stay on your good side. That other power looks pretty cool too though! Wonder how well it'd hold up against Eggman's robots. If you ever see an egg shaped baldy wandering around know that he's bad news. Feel free to beat him up a little if he's up to no good. He never knows when to quit. *The hedgehog turns around and starts to walk normally.* Besides being fast there's not much else to me without the chaos emeralds or Caliburn. What other tricks have you got up your sleeves?
(The shield forms again and a handgun bursts forth into Homura hand as she spins it around for a moment with a proud grin, then just as suddenly the weapons are gone) I can also store things in my shield and summon them whenever I want to! It's a pretty nice trick to have on hand even outside of battle honestly! (She hums to herself as she comes to a door) Oh hey this looks like my room! (The girl puts in the key card and opens the door seeing the familiar sight of her room stands before her.) Huh... So it's really my room or at least looks like it. I wonder how this got here? (She glances at an old grandfather clock in oddly good shape) Wow even that... Well anyways it's been nice meeting you Sonic but I should probably sleep... Though I'm not too tired I guess I dunno.
*Sonic spins his own key card on one of his fingers before grinning at Homura.* It was nice meeting you too. If you're going to sleep then rest well. Hopefully we'll see each other around. *Grasping the key card in his gloved hand again, Sonic gives Homura a wave and a wink before speeding off. He's out of her sight before she can blink, and a gust of wind blows past her lightly.*
*Gamma gets up and yawns, stretching to help himself wake further. He quickly gets ready and walks off towards the nearest restaurant with a smile* I get the feeling today's going to be my lucky day. It feels so nice to actually be active again.
*Angel waits near the restaurant, looking up into the sky to see what species of birds there are before going in to get a bite. After all, he has no idea what this place has so he might as well be a tourist and get as much info as he can.* "That flying creature up there looks so simple, yet serene...I can't see why I can't have any of those flying near my land." he said to himself bird gazing without any binoculars and also being oblivious to the blinding sunlight from up in the sky.
*Gamma walks by Angel, he nearly steps inside before deciding to turn around and greet the new guest with a smile* Hello ma'am. Looks like we're getting more and more visitors around here. Its fairly nice if I do say so myself. Might not want to look at the sun too long though. Its pretty, yes, but you can kill your eyes that way.
*He turns a glance at Gamma only because he was starting to squint at the sight of the sun.* "Hmm, where's this ma'm you speak of? Oh, and thank you for reminding me the sun does indeed, blind me. What's your name and where did you come from? My name is Angel Nihilyon, Archbishop Of Favoritism. I am a humble missionary exploring to spread my religion." he said, bowing to Gamma. "By the way, you wouldn't mind telling me how much I'd have to pay to eat here, right?" he asked, pointing to the restaurant, not knowing what a menu is because surprise surprise, he's never eaten in public.
*Gamma blinks for a few moments, before bowing to Angel* My apologies, I seem to have jumped to a conclusion. I hope you're not offended. *Gamma straightens up and begins walking towards the restaurant* You can call me Gamma, and for all intents and purposes, I'm native to this area. You may have noticed on your way in, but it doesn't seem like anyone's really working here. The food just kind of comes in shortly after you order it. They don't seem to expect payment. *shrug* Its really not that unusual. I've kinda stopped questioning that sort of thing.
*He shoots a confused look at Gamma before re-adjusting his glasses.* "Whatever it is, it's alright. I'm not offended by just one simple mistake." he said before following Gamma. "I'm glad the place is so kind. You don't even have to pay for some wonderful food. Delightful. So Gamma, were you also at that "Tournament of Desires" occasion? I wondered if I could've entered it to make my job easier. No matter, from the bottom of my heart, I hope we can get along." he said, looking around to get a view of his atmosphere. "Now for one more thing, I'm assuming you have a home here since you're native here right? Or is it some kind of apartment. I'm afraid I wasn't really prepared since I haven't really packed an extra attire." he mentioned, and the last part a bit nervously.
Yeah, I entered the tournament myself. Of course, I had no plans on what to wish for, but I'm getting a decent idea for it now. *Gamma casually looks over his shoulder at Angel* I've been staying at this hotel for the past few days. Much better than amy old place. Seems to have everything, and I don't mean a bit of everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Probably a little clothing store around too. I haven't actually visited any of the shops in this place so I've no idea how they work.
"That must be wonderful. May I attend this hotel you speak of? I'm pretty sure I could stay there and examine everything there before leaving to accomplish my first purpose." "Also, do you have any free time to show me around? I would examine myself but I would likely get lost."
*wakes up and goes to get some food*
*He paused what he was going to say next for a moment to think about wether he should ask or not but he decides to anyway.* "Not to pry, but what would you wish for if you were to win? It's ok if you don't want to share but, I'm curious about what you do want." he asked Gamma. "Of course, if you're that determined I could spar with you. After all, this hotel does have everything so it might as well have somewhere meant for that.
Of course you can, far as I know its open to anyone. Not like I own the place, kinda got no right to deny you. *shrug* I could show you around a bit, but like I've said, super-fancy place has practically everything. Would definitely take hours to even glimpse it all. So I usually just hit the highlights.
*Gamma looks at Angel with a smile* Well, if I were to win, I'd just ask for a little knowledge. You know what they say, knowledge is power, right? I wouldn't mind a sparring match if you wanted. Seeing someone in a fight will help you learn a lot about em. Though I'm not sure if the owner would be cool with it. Wherever they are. I should check *Gamma takes a hotel map out from somewhere in their clothes, he searches for a few minutes before pointing somewhere* There is an outdoor area in the back. That'll probably be fine for the sake of a sparring match. Assuming we don't go nuts.
*Angel looks back at Gamma with a joyful look on his face.* "I'm glad to say everyone here's kind. It's great to see a peaceful environment. Along with a great place to live. I doubt the owner would decline a humble training match here. Even if it kind of ruins the peaceful atmosphere." "Knowledge is power, though if your ego eclispes it then you're as good as dead. At least that's how I view it. Of course, you already could guess what I'd wish for if I were to win. Me being a missionary and all that."
*Gamma chuckles and begins walking back to the hotel* Probably something about spreading your religion. Never been a fan of that stuff myself,*shrug* but well its different for everyone. When properly applied, knowledge can be used to change the world. Right place, right time, right idea, and suddenly everything'll be different. Though, of course, I'm going to have to win first. However, I trust that'll be no real obstacle.
"Don't get ahead of yourself. I assume what I saw in the previous match is not the limit to every combatant. For example, I saw that the man using venom is only good in close quarter combat. But what if there would be someone that's not just focused on hyper offense? Of course, this is not to put in pressure, just a question." "Though I must say, you're a mage right? What kind of opponents will you face other then the 4 I saw at the match? I wish I came the moment it got delayed..."
You could call me a mage. At least, I focus primarily on the use of my persona and its magical abilities. Though most of the people I was most worried about are already out of the contest. Which sure makes things easier on me. *Gamma grins with pride as he begins rambling* Thing is that no tricks work that well against me. My fighting style is.... Unique in that it is almost impossible to maneuver around. They can hardly get close to me, and thus I'll likely never be harmed. Of course, if they specialized in ranged combat I might have a harder time, but that's what my partner's for. If nothing else I can just throw him at them and watch the show.
*Angel listens to the rambling and processes it in his mind to try and think of any countermeasures.* "Well, when you put it that way, I guess that'd be unique. After all, it's not based around close quarter combat. Care to tell anyone else that is, how do I say this, not melee? You being a mage and all, you sound a little defensive. Usually I picture those as the ranged glass-cannon archetype." he said as if he were interviewing Gamma.
*Gamma shrugs and continues talking as they walk* Its quite simple really. I'll admit, I have a weakness up-close, but all I have to do to solve that is make getting close an impossibility. That is to say, freeze them well before they're able to do much of anything. So, by freezing the very ground itself, I am able to almost immediately begin freezing anyone who steps anywhere near me. Completely eliminating the need for anything up close whatsoever. Of course, I still practice to be safe, but as a general rule I don't have any reason to use these skills.
Skyla walks over.
*He begins to try and get as much info as he can from Gamma's rambling by asking questions.* "So, what are you weak to? You know, other then fighting up close. Because you being an ice mage and all that, I'm assuming you're weak to fire correct? I'm very excited to see your battle style in action and attempt to fight against it."
"...I don't THINK he's weak to fire, but that'd be fun to test."
*Gamma shrugs and continues talking* Any elemental weaknesses hardly matter thanks to an associate of mine, though I suppose that with enough fire you could melt my ice, I'd just make more anyways. Really, there's hardly a point to any of the other contestants being there. But we have to put on a show, can't put on a play with only one actor, right? Its only a matter of time before the tournament's over and I get my wish. Assuming the host was being honest about it. Personally I still think its all a sham.
*Angel decides to take off his glasses and put them away since he's just walking straight the whole time so he wouldn't really need to see where he's going. "Hmmmm, well at least you could give me names and a brief explanation of how they work. After all, wouldn't hurt to tell me your opponents. And even if the prize is a farst, I'm sure the fun you'd have there would make it not matter. Then again, I'm getting kind of tired from all this."
*The trio finally reaches the hotel, as has been described above, Gamma leads the two into the welcoming doors, ignoring the statues at the entrance* What my future opponents do? Well, I'm afraid I've only caught one complete match so far, aside from my own obviously. On that team is Ene, a sort of super AI if you will who's capable of manipulating and controlling almost any electronic, as well as unleash significant blasts of electricity herself. The other team member is named Teddie, they're some sort of blond pretty boy with an inferior mastery over the element of ice, though I imagine it wouldn't hurt them much. They also have a.... Random chance thing? I dunno, once they yelled "Kamui Miracle" and nothing happened. Later on they did it again and the entire enemy team fell over for him to win the match..... Yeah. That was.... Interesting.
*Angel contemplates on wether he should ditch Gamma in order to search around or stay, also almost walking into a statue as a result of the conveniant timing of when he took off his glasses and put them back on.* "This place certainly looks interesting. It's more modern then my homeland but I still need another attire and my room..." he mumbled to himself before turning back to Gamma. "What was that again? You were saying something about an AI and a pretty boy? Anyways, would it be ok to show me how to get a room? I do think that we've been talking for a long time. Though by long time I meant that I get tired easily..."
*Gamma leads Angel to the front desk, and gestures to the open guestbook* Its really quite simple. All you have to do is sign here and you should receive a keycard for your room and a map to help navigate this enormous place. As I've said, there's really plenty of room for whatever you need. I'll probably just wander for a bit. Good luck finding your room. *Gamma waves back at Angel and walks into a seemingly random hallway, frequently referring to his own map*
"I might as well get a room." Skyla signs in the guestbook.
"Oh um, bye Gamma. See you after I find out where to go..." he waved back at Gamma and signed in the guestbook and recieve a keycard. *After recieving his keycard he took 30 minutes to find his room and was about to bathe until he passed out on his bed. Great job.*
*And like magic Angel and Skyla received their plot devi- I mean keycards and maps. There better not be a plot going on here. More to the point, the map shows how truly large the hotel is. Almost ridiculously so.*
"...So big..." Skyla EVENTUALLY finds her room, and then collapses on her bed exhausted. "This... place... is too... big..."
