Shin-Sekai Soda Joint
[The Heisei Era, a time of technological and societal advancement for the island nation of Japan. During this time, the fourteenth Devil Summoner in the long line of Raidou Kuzunohas made his name known as one of the strongest and most capable of the bunch. With his appearance in the Nexus, his time period is successfully connected, allowing anyone to enter this timeline as they see fit. This has caused quite a lot of trouble for Raidou. Time travelers and futuristic demons are running amok like they own the place, which has made a lot of work for the Narumi Detective Agency the fourteenth worked at. The boy and his feline partner Gouto-Douji are currently relaxing in the supernatural bar Shin-Sekai, located in the Ginza district. They find themselves here quite often, either to turn in stray demons to the mysterious barista in return for Magnetite, to order one of the many magic sodas to enhance his the abilities of Raidou himself, or to speak with any of the patrons who all seem to know more about the supernatural aspects of the world then they really should. Raidou is flipping through a case file he seemed to be building, something about a teenage girl who got herself possessed and went about acting like someone right out of a slasher film. He seemed to be at a dead-end though, as evidenced by him sighing deeply before leaning back in his chair to take a sip of the drink he had ordered not long beforehand. Gouto wags his tail, before turning to his partner with a tilted head.]
"Maybe we should call it a day Raidou, maybe take some time to just relax here. We gotta learn to pace ourselves."
[The boy seemed to agree, and closed the file folder he was slaving over before deciding to just have a look around the building.]

*Gamma can be seen leaning back in one of the booths, although its well above freezing outside, Gamma is repeatedly tossing a shard of ice into the air and catching it like a ball. He seems focused on it*
Saeko wandered in, looking around the interior of the place, fascinated at her surroundings, but seemingly a bit confused.
"Where have I ended up this time?" She whispered to herself while taking a seat in a chair.
[Raidou, given the person he is, is no real stranger to magic. Regardless, he seems perplexed by Gamma's little solo game of catch. He waves to the man, and opens up his hand as if to catch a pass.]
*Taiga goes through the door with his hands in his coat pockets and walks up to the counter with a bored look on his face*
Hello there, my name is Taiga Hanaya. *He gives the man behind the counter a curious look* Now word on the street says this place is filled with info about "demons" so I'm wondering... Exactly how do these things come into being?
*Taiga's voice is loud enough one might overhear if they were paying attention* Oh and I guess I'll have... Whatever your special is I really don't care. *He glances around the room in search of anything off after he finishes speaking*
*Gamma grins as he sees Raidou, and tosses the shard. Its roughly shaped like a D8, and extremely cold to the touch. It begins to melt almost as soon as it leaves Gamma's hand. As soon as he throws, he overhears Taiga, causing him to look around the room and catch sight of Saeko too*
Well well, looks like we have company.
*under his breath*
Clueless company no less.
"Demons?"
At the sound of the voice, Saeko seems to become more alert, her hands clenching into fists.
"Did the desert wildlife break in to this part of the city?"
*The man looks over to Saeko with a confused expression at her mention of a desert*
I'm not sure where you're from girl but welcome to Tokyo, we don't have any deserts in a long ways of this city so no... Besides why would we be worried about wildlife? Whatever these demons are sure. Bugsters most certainly, but animals?
*Taiga scoffs and runs his hand over some cartridge holstered on his belt* I'm not very worried about those considering the things I've dealt with kid.
[Raidou catches the ball, and flinches a bit as the ice touches his ungloved hand. It slowly melts into a liquid form in his hand, and he shakes the leftover water off of it onto the floor. He simply smiles, and points his drink at Gamma, as if to ask if he wants one himself. The bartender meanwhile, busy cleaning a glass turns to Taiga and nods.]
"We deal with demons here, yes. They come to exist through countless means depending on the demon itself. Some are gods worshiped by humanity, some are monsters created by human fear and nothing more. Some have histories far more complex. However you'd like to think of them though, they are something not of this world. It is impossible to say their exact origin as a species, that much is certain."
[As he finishes what he's saying, a cold drink slides along the counter top from an unknown source and stops in front of Taiga. The liquid is green with hints of yellow in color, and doesn't look particularly inviting to drink on the surface.]
"This is your first time, is it not Mr. Hanaya? Consider this one...on the house. As a thank you for the work you put in to protect our world."
*Parad enters in his usual garb and hair style*
A soda-bar? With demons? That sounds just like a game!
*Parad walks up to the bar and stares at Raidou*
Hey mister, is it fun to play with demons?
*Gamma chuckles and closes his hands for a moment, forming another shard of ice to toss into the air. Afterwards he looks back at Raidou and shrugs*
Guess that depends. This is a soda place, right? I suppose I'd take one, if you're offering. As long as there's nothing weird about it of course.
Saeko looks at Taiga with obvious confusion.
"'We don't have any deserts in a long ways', you say? I suppose I walked for longer than I thought, and what is this 'Tokyo'? I was informed this place was called Nexus..."
She leaned back in her seat.
"...and it would be unwise to write off those who live in the desert as mere animals. There was..." Again, she clenches her fists as she speaks. "...good reason, for why my home likened them to 'Demons'."
*The man nods with gratitude and grabs hold of the drink taking a sip of it*
I'm not entirely sure how you'd know about that... But I've got my own reasons for fighting ya know? Heh. *He smiles slightly and takes a hit from the glass, finding it oddly appealing in spite of the strange looks*
I'm not gonna complain though... And thanks for the info, I was already guessing these things weren't the same as Bugsters but that's more different than I thought.
*He looks lost in thought for a moment before turning to Parad*
Oh you're here now too huh? Been a while I guess Parad. *Taiga rolls his eyes in thought of a certain blue armored eyesore* Can you believe that idiot Brave being so needlessly trigger happy? Actually knowing you... Probably don't care about it.
[Raidou nods with a smile, and leads the way to the counter. He orders two drinks on the menu labeled as "Dragon". It's orange and yellow color scheme seems about as inviting as the drink Taiga received, but Raidou seems to drink it happily and slides the fee for both to the man at the counter.]
Is Brave putting lives at risk? That's no fun...
*Parad's expression darkens*
One would think he would've learned about the value of life. It really isn't fun to put anyone at risk.
*Gamma looks at the drink suspiciously, but looking back at Raidou, he shrugs, and chills the drink before drinking it. After a sip he looks around and sighs*
Wow, I didn't even have to do anything and we're already talking about killing. Took what, ten minutes? If even that. *chuckle* new record.
[The drinks seem to kick in, while the taste doesn't particularly memorable, the drinks Raidou and Gamma drank seem to make their muscles tighten and feel stronger. Taiga's meanwhile seems to make him feel tougher, and more durable. These buffs certainly won't last forever, but at least the pretty high price of the drinks is justified given the practical use of the drinks.]
*Taiga looks at her and sighs*
Technically it's both... This Nexus thing is part of the city now but it's definitely Tokyo, to sum up think of the Nexus as some crazy thing going on and Tokyo as where you actually are.
*His face shows equal confusion as he stares at her*
Demons huh? Never heard of anything like that being native to some place... You definitely aren't from around my home, ever heard of a Kamen Rider?
*Taiga looks over to Parad with a netrual face*
None other than yours... Remember when the idiot tried to charge you in his lvl2? He was shouting about you spreading the virus like you're still a foe. *He shakes his head and shrugs* something about a different universe... I think he just went crazy. *A smirks crosses the man's face clearly showing he doesn't believe that*
*After finishing his drink, Gamma sighs and walks back to a seat near the corner. He begins tossing a shard again, accidentally cracking it the first time, as though he's not used to his strength, but he's able to repair it, and continues watching the others, absentmindedly tossing and catching his ice*
"It is simply a nickname given to the creatures of the desert. While they may technically just be 'animals', they are dangerous, and frightening to most."
Saeko stands up and walks to the counter, looking inquisitively around at the drinks.
"May I have one as well?" She asks, before turning to Snipe, "What is a... 'Common Rider', was it?"
[The bartender looks at Saeko inquisitively, but decides to not say whatever he had on his mind. He picks a purple-ish red drink off the counter and pours a glass for the girl. The fee for the drink's total is 5500Â¥, as he points out on the menu before returning to his cleaning.]
*Taiga chuckles and points to the strange belt around his wait before drawing the cartridge he thumbed over earlier*
Long story short? These little gadgets let me summon up some nifty armor, greatly enhances my physical powers and has a few weapons at that... And it's K A M EN not common. *He clearly states each letter to her*
To sum up I press a button on this *he shakes the cart* slam it in the belt and bam I'm a Kamen Rider. *He stows the Gashat before putting his hands back in his pockets*
Oh and you ever need some medical work come see me. *Taiga tosses her a business card* as for these beasts of yours lemme know if they show up, I'd be interested to see how they compare to Bugsters.
Beasts? Sounds like a fun game! I haven't had much fun since I got to this place, but maybe these demons or beasts could help take the edge off!
[Emu walks into the soda bar holding a portable game console as he walks over to a table and sits down. He looks somewhat excited for some reason.]
Oh! I'm almost to the last level now!
[Emu focuses intently on the game as his fingers move rapidly and press buttons in a synchronized fashion.]
[Raidou adjusts his hat, and seems to mostly be ignoring the chat those two are having. Gouto on the other hand seems to take interest in the two of them.]
"Hey hey, dealing with demons is some serious business. I can understand being cocky, but if you take them lightly then you're asking for trouble."
*Parad hears Emu talking to himself*
Emu! I knew that I'd find you in this crazy place! Have you been playing games without me? Don't lie to me!
"A device that creates armor and weapons? I have... never been much of a tech-type. It all seems rather convoluted." She turns her attention back to menu and looks confused. "5,500... Y? This is not in Gella?"
She takes the business card as she returns her attention to Taiga.
"A doctor? Seems there are quite a few around this city. If we are as far away from the desert as you say, then I would say it is unlikely any of the desert beasts would find there way here."
[Emu looks up as he pauses the game and turns to see Parad.]
Parad? I didn't know you ended up in this place too, otherwise, I would have invited you to play a game with me. I've just been looking around trying to figure this place out.
I've been looking around for key players in this place, but everyone here seems so conceited and selfish! None of them could be a real Player 1!
[Emu nods at Parad as he smiles warmly at him.]
I don't know about any Player 1, but I'm just going to keep acting as myself since that's what I know I'm good at.
[Emu expression seems to grow darker as he looks down a bit.]
It seems some people here aren't all that friendly either. I even hear that murder is pretty commonplace here...
[Emu looks back up with with a determined look as he looks at Parad.]
But I'll keep trying to fight for what I believe to be right. I will bring a smile to the faces of my patients no matter what because that's what being a doctor means to me!
If lives are at stake then I have no choice but to save them! Some people don't understand how bad death is, and I think that's not fun for anyone! Bugsters or Humans!
*He shrugs and looks out a window*
You would be amazed at what this place has in it... I've already seen some things I didn't believe possible after a few days... Then again you'd probably consider my world pretty amazing too, and yeah I'm a doctor.
*a tired expression crosses the man's face as he looks down*
Though sometimes I really regret that choice. *He shakes his head and looks around before spotting Ex-Aid* And with that I should go talk to them, nice meeting you... What's your name?
*He walks over to Ex-Aid and Parad after hearing her reply, some mixture of fond and annoyed appearing on Taiga*
Quite the meeting today hmm boys? So then since we're all here I think it's a good time to try and pool our info....
*Taiga shoots them both an odd look displaying a reluctance towards the two as be sighs*
Generally I'd not be trying to work with you so openly but honestly? this world is odd enough I'm making an exception, you guys in? *He raises an eyebrow at them and smirks slightly showing his interest in their response*
If you know anything that could help us fix this messed up place I'd be glad to hear it. I only found a few people who seem to not be bent on killing people and calling it "just".
[Emu look over at Taiga with a hopeful look and a goofy smile.]
Yeah, if we all work together than we can get through anything. We're all Kamen Riders after all, right?
As for information, I've been walking all around this place. It seems that people here come from all sorts of different worlds that don't always follow the same rules. I saw this kid in a castle for example who said he was an evil overlord but also knew what computers were. At another point, I also met this giant Bugster who said they didn't want to hurt anyone and went around petting dogs.
The weirdest thing here though is the other version of myself. They seem a bit odd at times, almost like...A joke version of myself, though that may sound pretty strange.
"Regretting a choice... I can understand that. Though becoming a doctor is a noble choice, I would say." She glances at his business card again before pocketing it. "Murakami. I am Saeko Murakami."
She moves over to where the others are with Taiga after hearing something that catches her attention.
"Murder is... common here? This place..." As she continues speaking her expression turns to anger. "I've seen destroyed buildings like this is a warzone, a child without a home, and now I'm hearing of murder. Yet everyone seems so... casual. Like they don't care. That man with the green hair even said the government does nothing. How despicable can this city be?"
*Taiga sighs in thought of a battle with a young girl and the people who simply stood by and let her murder freely*
Yeah it sure as hell seems common to me... I found some kid burning people the other night, you remember that stage select you walked into right Ex-Aid?
*He groans and gives them a long suffering look before shaking his head at the absurdity of the Nexus*
The kid we were taking from those two? That was her... I fought her first in fact, figured she was a Bugster but then It Critical tears out half her chest and I have to play doctor trying to stop the bleeding, at that point some weirdo in a top hat walks in and heal her before the snakes got involved.
*He pauses to gauge the reactions of the others before clapping his hands and continuing with a look of anger*
There were others there, fighting some kinda monsters... They just ignored the whole thing.
*Taiga gives Emu and Parad a dead serious look and toys with his Gashat absently* I'm no hero you two know that, but I won't just stand around and let murder happen unlike some kid with blue hair and his friends.
People shouldn't have to face death so abruptly. I know all too well that fear...
*his darkened expression seems to brighten*
But Emu and I will save them, as many as we can!
[Emu turns to Parad and nods before looking between Taiga and Parad.]
I'm a doctor after all. It's only natural that I'd want to save as many people as possible and with all of us working together we should be able to stop these murderers before anyone else has to get hurt.
*Brave notices the group of Riders convening and walks into the shop, nodding at the group
I suppose you are all meeting here for some reason, Ex-Aid, Parad, and Snipe, all we are missing is Genm and the second Ex-Aid, but we can make do for now.
Don't call that joke Ex-Aid! He isn't fun, he doesn't feel like Emu, and he hasn't offered to play games with me! He's a fake clearly.
*Taiga nods at them both with a grim look and briefly turns over to Saeko*
So then we're in agreement for once... What is you say? "Let's clear this with super co-op play."
*He shrugs... Before spotting Brave and darting his hand down to Bang Bang Shooting*
If you're here to attack Parad again I can't allow that Brave, As for Genm I'm not convinced of his willingness to work with us frankly, nor the second Ex-Aid I keep hearing about... At any rate if you want to lend your skills and try to stop this madness Somehow I'll work with you.
*He stares at Brave and walks over to the man... Offering out his hand with a sigh* I'm no huge fan of teamwork normally but abnormal missions call for abnormal tactics.
Well then do you have a better name? Until we get a better name he is the second Ex Aid, even if he is completely different.
At any rate so far we have discovered that the Bugster virus doesn't exist here yet, these monsters called "Shadows" are supposedly the enemy of mankind, for now, we can think of them as Bugsters in a sense, and this place is called the Nexus, it pulls in random locations and people from different places and worlds
*Brave then looks at the hand and shakes it staring him right in the eyes as he continues
Mmm, this threat could be more than we could handle individually, and I do see that my action was rash, however from where I came from Paradx was still against us, an easy mistake seeing how their personality is different.
Second Ex-Aid just seems to long...
*Parad's eyes light up*

[Kazuma enter the place while whitling. The moment he sees the group of weirdos in front of him he opens both eyes and sighs.]

[He then closes both eyes, turns around leaves, still whitling.]
Fake Aid? I suppose that will do, strangely enough, I found out by a strange blue person, of course, I was skeptical but everyone I ask has backed up this information so im assuming that it must be true enough. On another note we are not the only Kamen Riders, I recently sparred with a person with the ability to transform as well. We must be careful to not lose our gashats, one as it could release the Bugster virus and they could end up in the hands of someone evil.
I know of two others who can transform! I couldn't hear their conversations so I can't tell you who they are or where they stand. I can say that they don't seem to be too intent on killing anyone, but I'll still keep watch. We can't get too many enemies or else the fights will just be lame!
Saeko stands there, becoming more confused by the second. She can be heard whispering terms back to herself as the Riders discuss them, but they mean nothing to her even as she tries to rationalize them. In the midst of their conversation she awkwardly smiles and waves as she walks away and takes a seat in silence at a different table.
*Gamma sighs, before standing up and clapping*
Well, you guys are practically in your own little world, eh? Its rare to see so many people from the same world appearing around the same time.

Regardless, might want to be more careful about who's around when you go into detail about your abilities.
*Gamma grins*
Who knows what kind of monsters could be listening, right?
If monsters are listening I'd rather they show themselves! It'd be more fun that way!
[Raidou scratches his cheek, taking quick glances at the bartender at the mention of "monsters".]
*Taiga chuckles and nods along with Parad though for clearly different reasons*

*He looks at Saeko and forces a smile clearly trying to be more kind than he actually is as his voice sounds strained*

*He turns back to the other Riders and his usual blank face returns*

*Snipe looks at Gamma wary and ponders smashing Stage Select before shrugging it off*

You guys talked about how you fought Genm or whoever. I was referring to people like him. People who might end up opposing you some day.

[Emu gets up and approaches Taiga.]

I was simply telling you people to be a little more cautious. Reminiscing is fine, but always take caution when revealing little details about your "gashats" or whatever work.
Im sure we will be fine "Gamma" if that is your real name, it's not as if these are any use to anyone but us, besides if it helps people understand us they will be more willing to help us, it's simple psychology,

A name is nothing more than a group of words used to refer to something specific. In my case, if people know me as "Gamma", then Gamma is my name. What the name is hardly matters so long as the object, or person in this case, being referred to is clear.
*He shrugs at Gamma and shakes his head*
I can't say if that's true or not frankly, I don't know enough about you to say... I just have a habit of taking anything threatening seriously.
*He smirks at Gamma and shoots a finger gun at him before walking away*
As for the Gashats? I'll tell you this much, no one without a specific operation from our world can even use them so trying to get these things would be wasted effort... At any rate I'll be going now, *Taiga tosses the other Riders business cards* Call me if something comes up, I'll be there if I can... Oh right kid over there is dead to the world need to talk with her.
*He sits down at a table and waits in Saeko to respond*

[Emu runs out of the cafe with no clear idea of where he's going or what he plans to do.]
After staring off into space for a while, Saeko seems to finally snap back to reality, and glances around.
"Oh... I see most of the patrons left while I was in a daze..."
*Gamma chuckles and pulls his hat over his eyes*
Yeah, sorry about that. Something about me makes people feel.... Uncomfortable. *shrug* can't say I blame them for leaving.
*Taiga looks over at her*
You hear what I said before kid? If you really want to help then we'll take anyone we can.
*He glances at Gamma with a confused look and a frown*
I'm sorry but that seems quite strange... You might have come off shady before but you really don't seem that bad to me beyond that.
"Hmm. I will keep it in mind. Though I do not have much in terms of medical training."
*Taiga smiles at her for a moment before going back to all business* Oh don't worry about that too much... We're doctors but well there's more than one thing we do, and my weapons aren't just for show after all.
*The man walks out the door with a nod to the other two. inside and speaking to himself once he's well away from the building*
Saeko huh? Decent enough kid it looks like but can't make any assumptions about this place... Gamma though, you I don't trust. I'll give you a chance because of Emu and Brave but I'm not about to just take you at face value because of those two... Now then I believe that this? Is mission start.
*Taiga walks away into the city in search of a decent building to set up a clinic for himself*
*Gamma shrugs, before taking a simple feather out of his pocket and examining it*
That shadiness is part of what I mean. I hardly make a good first impression most of the time.
Bad isn't really the term I'd use to describe it. More like "unsettling". Which I don't think you'd disagree with. Leads to most people tending to avoid me. *grins* Not that I blame them of course.
As another person leaves, Saeko sighs a bit as she stands up, and walks to the counter. She looks again at the menu and ponders a bit, whispering under her breath.
"...Seriously... what is this 'Y'?"
*Gamma put away the feather before standing up*
Well then miss, unless you need me for something, I think I'll follow the Riders' leads. I'm sure I'll find something around here.

*Gamma slowly walks towards the door, arms behind his head. Though he is still looking around the Soda place, glancing into every crack*
"I will keep this in mind." Saeko sighs. With the building near abandoned, she saw no reason to stay, and walked out the door as well, with a wave over her shoulder as she left in search of other places to explore.
