Ok, first off, be quiet. I never asked you to talk. Second, shouldn't you know? I mean you are me. Lastly, I'm trying to design something. *Gamma sighs and leans back in his chair, arms behind his back* Unfortunately magic isn't exactly my area of expertise. Honestly, it feels like I'm trying to stumble into something.

Aw but I'm bored! Besides you obviously need the company! You don't have many social links! At any rate even if you are me you can't hear my thoughts either! *Shiranui then coils around a bar on the roof, looking down I could give it a shot but I doubt I would be any better than you!

Talking to yourself Lavvy? Here I thought I was the crazy one. [Hazama steps out of a hole in the ground and smiles at Gamma, whether it's sincere or not, it's hard to tell.]

*Gamma sighs and looks up at the roof* Seeing as you can't touch anything, I really don't see how that wo..... *Gamma hears Hazama, and turns in his chair. Nearby there's a cluttered workbench filled with wires and electrical tools* When did you even get here anyways? I thought this..... You know what, nevermind. Why are you here is a better question.

Mmm! Gamma is right! Why are you here Hazama! Don't you have better things to do? *Shiranui then hangs off the bar as he stares Hazana in the face, intrigued

[Hazama shrugs, and chuckles to himself while picking up one of Gamma's tools and playing catch with it. Almost seems to be in a mocking way, perhaps it's a jab at Gamma's most recent habit?] Why, I just wanted to see what my favorite...actually what do I call you? Friend? Acquaintance? Weird guy? Whatever, I wanted to see what were up to, is all. I'm bored, putting it bluntly.

*Gamma sighs and lays his head down on the little worktable* Acquaintance is fine. Other than my recent inability to even keep my persona under control *Gamma casts a quick glare at Shiranui* I can't seem to get the hang of this magic techie stuff.. Unfortunate really. Come to think of it, don't you come from somewhere magic is commonplace? I know helping isn't really your thing, but any knowledge of such things would be quite helpful.

Aside from me having no idea what I'm doing, I'm simply trying to make a device to help detect magic energy. Its probably easy if you know what you're doing. Heck, given a quick tutorial I should be able to go through with it fairly easily..

*Running through the abandoned area of town dressed in grey gi and dragging two tires behind him is Delta. Hearing the sounds of others in one of the warehouses, he slows to a stop before heading over to see who else is here. Untying the rope connected to the tires, he steps inside to see Gamma and Hazama up to something. With no intention to hide his presence, Delta starts walking towards the two of them.*

[Deciding to ignore Delta for now, Hazama scratches his chin.] Well, for starters what are you using as a power source, and what kind of magic are you trying to detect? That knife I lent you can act as a compass of sorts for energy signatures like it, but if you're talking something to detect all kinds of magic then you'd need something magic as a fuel source, you get me?

Hi there Delta! *Shiranui then turns to Delta, swinging from his pole What are you doing here? It's a long way away from that dojo! You made quite a loud noise!

*Gamma looks around and notices Delta, making no attempt to hide the junk he's been working with* Been a while, take it that was you in the dojo? Sorry I had to dip out. Just working on a few things. *Gamma then focuses back on Hazama and sighs, taking out the knife for reference* I honestly can't even tell what you mean by energy signatures like it. I guess you mean other space-cutting stuff. Anyways, no, I'm looking for much more general stuff. You know, the fireballs everyone's shooting and stuff. So I need to find some sort of adequate fuel source in order to make anything work? And beyond that what, its like some sort of metal detector?

.... *Delta stops in his tracks and gives Shiranui a confused glance before responding.* I was training and happened to hear you all from inside here... Is there any reason why you're able to act separate from Gamma? You are his persona aren't you? *Delta's ears had also perked up when he heard Hazama mention magic and detection. With Gamma addressing him he takes his attention off of Shiranui while answering.* Unfortunately it was.... Not my proudest moment. What are you working on exactly?

[Hazama adjusts his tie idly, and continues his explanation.] By signatures like it, I'm referring to the gem in the latch. It's a power source exclusive to this "world" that the brawny dude I used to work with dubbed "Nexite". To an extent, yes it does act like a metal detector, but only for other Nexite. There are other uses for that stuff than cutting open rifts, but that's for another time. As for your second query, let's put it as needing magic to recognize magic. Think about it this way, if you're wanting something to pick up on magic as an energy source, then you need something to compare what you're trying to detect to. Otherwise, you might pick up something like the Azure or Nexite as magic, which they aren't.

*Gamma picks up some sort of device with wires coming out that somewhat resembles a treasure detector* Trying to make something capable of sensing magic. More specifically its presence and flow. Of course, Akamoto's the nerd in that regard. *Gamma looks back at Hazama and shrugs* it all looks the same from where I'm standing, but I suppose that's beside the point. What I'm looking for would be better described as pure energy. Not sure where I could find something like that.

I have no idea! I just kinda awoke somewhere and here I am! I still have my memories and all my abilities, but I am still tied to Gamma! He's my user after all!

I see, I see. Still, if you're trying to detect pure energy you might pick up things that aren't necessarily magic. However, detecting that is easy, especially where I come from. Hell, I doubt you'll need a machine for it, if you spent the time to learn the usual patterns and feeling things like magic tend to have.

*Gamma sighs and shakes his head* Easy for you maybe, I come from some backwater land where magic doesn't exist. Honestly feels like I'm working with a handicap here. Besides, its less about the obvious, in the air thing. Looking for more subtle traces. That's why I figured a machine might be precise enough to help with it.

Magic can be...finicky at times. Real finicky. More often than not, you're left to common sense to figure out of there's any sort of magic shenanigans going on, that or using magic yourself. Unfortunately for you, the only magic I think you have access to is Shiranuiceage. So, with that in mind I'd say get ahold of someone more versed in magic theory than myself. There's the pest with all of his stupid gadgets, or you could ask Hans if he has any ideas. Lord knows he's lived long enough to work on stuff like this first hand.

I have no idea who either of those people are... But at least I have something to work with.... *Gamma scratches his chin for a moment as he thinks* Alright, a power source. Regardless of how it functions specifically, I'm going to need to find a powerful source of magic, preferably one from here...... *Gamma grins and looks towards the door, catching sight of a flash of light* And that may very well be my ticket.
