I do have all the 3DS FE games, though only two are multiplayer. Sad!Which ones? I've never actually tried FE multiplayer. I have Awakening and all of Fates. The remake one after didn't impress me. Shadows, something.

Shadows, something.Awakening has a little multiplayer mode where you choose 3 characters each and battle against 5 enemies or so. The latter ones can get... pretty freaking infuriating. Fates has online PvP between teams of 5, which is pretty cool, but also filled with hacked units unfortunately. Honestly it gets pretty boring after the first few matches, but that's just me. By the way, if you care about more than just gameplay in regards to your games, give Fire Emblem Echoes a shot. It's definitely worth your time if you enjoy good characterization, good story with world building, and kickass music. Anyways, I do try to do my best with competitive Pokemon, both with Showdown and in-game, so I guess hit me up if you're interested. Other than that, I have Smash 4, Terraria, Mario Kart 8, and, uh... that's about it. My library of games isn't really too diverse, unfortunately. Blame my lack of time with a good PC, I guess.
Those cheaters ruin it for everyone. I don't hack either FE or Pokemon, so a battle between us might be fun sometime. I haven't gotten to Revelations yet though. Still on crazy hard Conquest. Birthright is pretty well completed though. I could grind at least in that. I bought Shadows and immediately returned it. Very disappointed in it. It was a remake of a much older game, which I knew, but they didn't really do anything to it apart from grahical updates, and that one turn back 1 turn mechanic. No pairing up, dual attacks, or support that the 3DS games introduced. That would be like the Pokemon franchise remaking games but not using the current battle systems too. Like, why bother then?Which ones? I've never actually tried FE multiplayer. I have Awakening and all of Fates. The remake one after didn't impress me. Like, why bother then? It's not to say they didn't update it, they did tweak some accuracy and damage values, as well as some very needed quality of life changes. (Seriously, fuck 1 movement in sand) They also added the weapon art system, which is honestly the best skill system they've ever implemented. I definitely understand how the lack of the Pair-Up and Dual Attack/Defense systems could be jarring to a player who's only experienced the 3DS FEs, but if you're used to playing the older games, Echoes feels right at home, honestly. I can't say I don't enjoy the Pair-Up system, but I can't say I'd mind if it took a break either. Also, fyi that Mila's Turnwheel can actually go back in turns infinitely, so at any point you could rewind the battle to the first turn if you really wanted. It's honestly really useful if you screw up a turn or get bad RNG. That said, the game has some archaic and terrible map design, but it also have some of the best story and characters in the series. It's a shame they decided to be so faithful to the original, but at the same time, they updated it in a way that doesn't make it too terrible to play, so long as you give it a proper shot. If I had to give it a comparison, it'd be with the remake of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga that just released. It was mostly just a graphics update, but it added a few new features that make it fresh.
It is frustrating as all hell to play on Lunatic with permadeath and then play a chapter for 2 hours, only to get someone killed and have to restart. So that turn mechanic would be nice, but only limited. If it's infinite, then there's no challenge. It's frustrating as I said, but that's really the fun of it too. And it's epic when you finally do it and reward it, and it makes the stakes of the story all the better. The pair up in Fates was perfect to me. In Awakening there was really no reason NOT to pair up at all times. All I wish FE would remove are hit and dodge rates. Get rid of them entirely and have everything hit all the time. Pure strategy. I'm so tired of my 94% accurate moves missing, while the foe who's at 21% hits 3 times in a row.Well the turn back can only be used so many times per chapter/dungeon. It starts at 5 iirc and goes up to 11 depending on how many Cogs you find scattered through out the game. And to be honest, going through the postgame dungeon (And even just the final battle of the main game), I ran out of turnwheel uses by the end. And I get the frustration of hit rates, but that's really a part of Fire Emblem that makes itself... it. Without that, it's pretty much just Medieval Advance Wars without any of what makes that series fun. A lot of the strategy of Fire Emblem games comes from changing those hit values in your favor as much as possible. Without hit values, you could really just slap a unit in the front lines and attach a healer to them, and you'd be good to go for whatever comes your way, so long as they can't kill you in one hit. Now Fire Emblem Heroes managed to pull off the no hit chances, but I honestly can't say I think that type of system would work on a console Fire Emblem game with permadeath.
Just don't let people die. Kidding, it's for tension. RNG is an important factor for considering your tactics, weighing your options. There is no point in strategy if there is no risk. You could also just be like me, and if someone dies, deal with it. Don't reset. It's my fault they died, not a random number. No go. I like to fully explore games and characters, letting them die would mess that up. The risk is I have to play this long difficult round perfectly. And in FE, they take hours. I played one round in Fates for over 4 hours. One mess up, all over. I don't think that cheapens it either. I'd be out of units if I just let die. Not saying I'm terrible, just that I'm a trial by error learner. And if that happens I'd have to replay the entire game again anyway. Same thing, just 100x more of a waste of time. That level of tedium would probably make me fervently dislike a game too. The simplest way to put it is: The technical game over in FE is the protagonist dying. I play it as game over if any ally dies.
