Reasons behind usernames?
uh i didn't know what to name this topic why did you choose the username you have? I chose BeautyThief because Haru is my favorite in persona 5 and didn't want to think of anything else
i chose this username because i love the pancake meme in the fandom and was referencing akechi. that's why i put "boi" in my name, because akechi is, indeed, a boi.
Mostly because this is my YouTube username as well and also because I'm an unimaginative fuckwad. Still dunno if it sounds edgy or not. I can't abandon it because it's my first account.
Uhhh chib is just a watered down version of my FFXI name from 2008 which was originally chibidei i still use the username on almost everything too but i prefer chib.
Jerma Rumble. He's everyone's favorite shit character.
Because my oc was before a female Version if joker named Aki. But i Made her her own thing as I got th codename jester.
I actually chose this username when I was like, 12, logging in to DisneyChannel.com because I thought it sounded cool, and now I guess it just kinda stuck.
Looking cool Jester! As for my username, it all started years and years ago. First and foremost, the "klib" portion of my name is from a nickname my cousin gave me. My name is Kalib (kay-lib) but my cousin would always call me Klib (kuh-lib). So the nickname sorta stuck after the years. Secondly, the "imthereal" part. My friends and I used to have matching names for our Xbox live accounts, and the man who was calling the shots decided on "imthereal" to preface our actual usernames. I've used this username for a lot since then, and that's why I chose to use it here too.
random username gen for starmen.net. it stuck for like 4 years.
Mara
I liked the name Ruka when I heard it in Fatal Frame 4
My friends said my movements were similar to that of a llama's. Just added filthy and there yo go.
I just really like the Cait Sith demon, I guess. Because cat.
It's, uh... It's my name.
I just thought of it.
It was simply an experiment. Most P5 usernames were already taken as well as most persona usernames for the most part so I wanted to see if the most relevant name was taken. Somehow it wasn't so when I hit register the account became mine.
I chose mine because every single other username was taken when I arrived. I thought of Zero-X as both a reference to Zero in Megaman X and Megaman Zero, but also a slight reference to Megaman ZX. Had there been any there been no restrictions of the username, I would have been another Joker user
I already was in P5 Amino under a different character but after finishing the game back when i still was there i thought Akechi was the one i could relate the most out of them all. So, i decided to give it a try 2 days before making the account on anon chat i used to tag me with totally not Akechi then i decided to go and see if the name was available and here i am. damn Goro Akechi account!!! I'll sue!!! Ye because it was made then abandoned
It was the first thing I could think of quickly when I joined, also I like the pairing so there's that
Hifumi Togo is the best girl, 1, and 2, her final ability "Togo System" (which allows every member to switch) is the ability that lets you win the game. You die without it. As a nod to Hifumi and the best ability in the game.
Basically i was bored and thought to myself,"What if I was a pika da boi?" And behold.
I mixed generic and degenerate.
I liked Morgana, wanted to do something for them. Thought of when Futaba says Bonafide Monafied and I was like, "ok thats it." And theres that. The origin of the great Frogcats name.
The Japanese dub for Fox's code name is a super sharp FAWX.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh im gay for hazama
...Gee I wonder what the reason behind my name is. Also; "Togo System" (which allows every member to switch) is the ability that lets you win the game. You die without it. lmao okay sure

Not everyone knows which "Hibiki" it was; I recall even having to ask you.
No need to quote a post above you, and it's nice to see the joke completely went over your head. As for the skill, yeah, I've beaten the game twice now, without said ability. It makes life easier on harder difficulties, but acting like it's deathly necessary is hilarious.
I can't imagine the longer fights without it. You'd be boned. But you can disagree, sure.
It's a discussion for another time, but honestly I hardly find it needed. By the time I reached Okumura's Palace, I rarely if ever needed to switch party members at all. But yes, I do disagree that an ability I easily played the game without is needed.
I can't imagine the longer fights without it. You'd be boned. But you can disagree, sure. Um, so y'see...I did not actually do that. I didn't even do Hifumi's confidant past the one where Joker can switch out party members since I had my eyes set on Makoto most of the time. Also, I was playing on Hard Mode.
Will admit that it could of made the final boss much easier for me. That and grinding which I was too lazy to do.
I mean it's fine if you like it, but you just acted like it was impossible to play without it, which is hilarious, because I didn't know this skill even existed. Literally learned about it around 60 minutes ago.

You guys can disagree, but it was my personal favorite skill, hence the name. All I thought about was when the team got too many members was "God, I wish I could switch them out freely." And just using Joker wasted his turn (as usually the most versatile on the team) and took too long if you needed more than one switch, so I was definitely happy to receive it. The first time playing, I had no idea which parts I would need which members for, so being able to quickly switch on the fly was very helpful. At the end of Shido with Akechi, I had no idea that fight was even going to happen right then and everyone was super low on health and all the wrong members were out after the Cleaner, so, saved me from having to restart an hour's worth of play. Had to delete because of quote glitching.

Personally, I think Yoshida had a more useful skill. Ended battles swiftly with a nice little money bonus at the end. That Akechi fight pissed me off since it came out of nowhere. Had to use up my Soma for fear of losing all of my progress. Still regret that decision even if it was necessary since NO ONE had any SP left.
That's also a Hifumi skill. If you ambush, you can get more money if you win in one turn. Yoshida's require debating, which you can actually get more before you get it, since you can farm one battle endlessly and the battle won't automatically end. Some people have gotten over 100,000 yen from just one fight, without Yoshida's skill. (Just Igor's of negotiation)

mira is my name imaginitive i know
Some people have gotten over 100,000 yen from just one fight, without Yoshida's skill. (Just Igor's of negotiation) Hold up. That sounds pretty nice, but I'd much rather just move on with the dungeon. Also, isn't there a chance of that failing and allowing the enemy to attack you (haven't played in months so not sure on that)? Might risk dying in battle and losing all of that cash at least for the tougher opponents. Maybe I just like Yoshida's skills for the convenience.

Before the "Demand more money" from Yoshida skill is added, you can ask for the same amount over and over during hold up, until the Shadows get pissed and resume battle or call for backup. Knock them down again and you can repeat pretty much for as long as you want. But with the inclusion from Yoshida, when that option is red, you get slightly more, sure, but you can only demand it once and then the battle ends. So, it's not as good, I think.

Pulled this name out of my ass a year ago. Been using it since.
I guess I just prefer to get the battle out of the way sooner. Also, I gotta bolt since I'm going on a trip rn. See ya. Might consider a second run to see how Hifumi's skills help me.
Meh, it's just a name I like. For VioLight12, Vio referencing the purple link from 4 Swords Adventures Manga, Light was a random choice, and 12 is my favorite number.

I'm mistaken. Yoshida's first skill of "demand more money", ie, you can ask for the same amount again and again is what allows that to happen. It's the later skill of his "demand even more money" that then essentially hinders it. Sorry about that. I got confused. Igor's ability only allows you to hold them up. Still if you want to grind quick amounts, don't level Yoshida so quickly and/or mix both Hifumi's ability of ambushing and then Chihaya's money reading (more if won with an All Out Attack). The latter of which means battles go very quick. Ambush, knock them all down, finish them off in an All-Out Attack; both abilities stack.

I don't really use the same user name on my accounts they do have reason I make mine. On Xbox its BloodySabbath for sabbath bloody sabbath one of my favorite songs by black sabbath. On Psn its Purplevectors because I like the color purple and old school line vector graphics and for my name on here its Theh0mebody because I relate to Futaba in a few ways plus she is best waifu.
because it sounded a lot less stupid in my head than it does on paper lmao
Pancakes What's something that kinda sounds right? Knight Pancake Knight. Genius.
Mine's predictable.
So, the "Rom" part of my name comes from a slightly earlier time where I was obsessed with emulating old video games (Which I still do, but not nearly as much as I used to), and one of the ROMs I had on my GBA emulator was Megaman Battle Network 5 Team Protoman (Which I now legitimately own as the Double Team DS version now, still a blast), and I loved the concept of A.I. Antiviruses goin' surfin' on the internet. I wanted to create a concept/character design similar to the NetNavi concept... somehow, and I named him "Rom". (Still got those puns). The name stuck. I later started using that part of the name on different platforms, mainly RomIsALemon. I was just going to make Rom the username, and I did, but I think I made a typo on the password register screen, so I added "Dolos" to it, which is the name of the persona I created for the character.
I'd rather not remind myself
I decided to try Joker on a whim. Since I got it, I decided to stay on the site, and try to be the MC himself. That fell apart when Mishima made me Mod lol
I wanted Ami and Ami was taken so I went with Ami-chan
Got the name ToppingCoyote on an Xbox but it was ToppingCoyote55 instead. Was going to use my old username but, ToppingCoyote just grew on me. And that ToppingCoyote is less girly than on my original account so, there's that.

Uh...I dunno, I wanted to go with Hazama but it was already taken, then I thought about Tatsuya but didn't like the idea of being serious all the time, I then learned it was taken anyway (Was mostly interested in RP). So, since I'm a SMT1 fanboy I went with Kazuya, the name the MC gets in the manual of the original '92 Super Famicom version.
Well, i chose my name because, well look at the anon chat sometimes
