Unfortunately that's not how substitutes work, at least, not in the US. Substitutes are simply a backup teacher, usually someone in the middle of earning their degree. They don't actually teach the subject themselves, instead doing their best with the notes the actual teacher leaves behind for them.I know, but they still know it well enough to teach it, hopefully.
