Gen 1 is the only good Pokemon generation. It all sucked after that. The Pokemon got way to generic and they ran out of colours to name it after. Seriously. An ice cream Pokemon and a trash bag Pokemon? They must be running out of ideas. What're mega evolutions or Z moves supposed to be anyway? Geez. Talk about tacky mechanics.

Gen 1 was kind of meh and I personally enjoy the newer ones better since they actually have the comforts of modern video gaming. Like you know not crashing every five seconds and a music track that doesn't spawn creepy pastas. As for the whole x and y deal I have to say those two games where some of weakest lore wise in the entire series. Like sure they had all this fun stuff to do but little to no post game and the plot was a step back from even the sinnoh era. As for sun and moon both games actually improved upon these issues and learned.

So, in case it wasn't painfully obvious, I was joking. I actually enjoy Gen 7, though Gen 4 is my favourite because of nostalgia. Abomasnow is my favourite Pokemon because of blizzard spam. And a cool design. And he mega evolves.

Gen 3 is my favorite. Blaziken, Sceptile, Gardevoir, Aggron, Slaking, Ludicolo, Milotic, Salamence, Metagross, and Manetric are some awesome Pokemon.

Cynthia is best champion. All others aren't as great as her. She has the best battle, shes really the only champion involved in plot, has best music, and is just a great challenge. Im not a big fan of Sinnoh itself, but I'll replay the game to get to her again. Also Platinum is the best version for Sinnoh.

At this point, I just wish Gamefreak would stop with all the damn nostalgia pandering. Ever since Gen 6, they've been shoving Gen 1 nostalgia in everyone's faces every single chance they get and it's just tired.

That's been going on since the very beginning. Gen 1 is the most iconic. They'll always go back to it when they run low on ideas. What specific incident are you referring to in Gen 6 though? I don't recall much Gen 1 anything there. Black and White had no Pokemon from previous generations until post-game and the most BW2 had was PWT which was a post game battle facility. Gen 4 had little to no relevant references to Gen 1 or past generations aside from the obligatory remake. Same with Gen 3. XY gives you a Kanto starter early in the game. Not to mention Mewtwo and the Bird trio. There's also the fact the the first forest is a copy-paste of Veridian forest. Oh and of course Charizard and Mewtwo having two mega evolutions. With Gen 7, TPCI or GameFreak flat out admitted to making the Alolan forms Gen 1 only simply because nostalgia. Then there's Pokemon Go which launched with only Gen 1 Pokemon and took at least over half a year for Gen 2 to be added. And that's just all the stuff off the top of my head.
