Honoka shrugged, patting Dan on the shoulder. It probably looked reassuring, but given the context it was almost certainly sarcastic in nature.

He followed the others inside, a little stride in his step. He almost looked like a child.
...Say, now that I think about it. I don't think us all fighting as a mob of fifteen is a good idea in the slightest. I'd hate for one of the losers here to slack off and sit pretty while we're all fighting.

Whaddaya say, dear leader-san? Why don't we take on the enemies in groups of...three for the sake of being even. If things get dicey, backup can step in, but this way we can get a clear grasp of what everyone can do, and everyone will earn their keep this way too! I think it's just perfect.
