A Tale of a Thousand Lights and One Sky
{An expansive plane of deep black encompasses the overhead reaches of the sky. The deep color is endless with no faint traces of cloud in sight or the moon. Yet many things manage to decorate this blank canvas given by the night. The stars. These faint balls of energy some millions of years away decorate this very space with faint glimmers of white. It's almost as if someone simply took a paintbrush and splashed drops of white across the atmosphere. A slight chill in the air adds to the dramatic effect present as the natural tune of crickets continue on. If one pays close attention they may even find a constellation among the various smatters of celestial objects.} {Now where can such a picturesque seen in a modern society like ours. Well in the national park of course which is a fair distance away from the city. This particular hill everyone is arriving at is so far away that every single speck of star can be seen. Hurry before all the good gazing spots are taken~}
(Suddenly, a 7'3 snake centipede hybrid is there)...god don't hope they dont see me as a animal here....
(edited by Reperzel)
[Kazuya had been laying on the grass for quite sometimes, silently enjoying the spectacular image right above of him. He was used to this kind of view...a clear, black sky full of stars. Even if during the day their sky wasn't blue, they still had these distance beacons of hope. Kazuya's mind goes back to the chidren of his world and their families together around a campfire, hugging each other and counting the stars] This is life... [With both hand behind his head and his legs crossed, the young man hums softly.]
Waiting atop the starry hill, in a clearing well away from the trees, is a pair, one, a young, blonde girl wearing a simple black dress, reclining in a portable chair while another, tall, aging man in a similarly black suit remains at the ready near her, standing in front of his own, smaller chair. As they are mostly waiting, the two engage in brief conversation Gentleman: Quite a lovely night out, isn't it? All the stars across the sky. Surprised its still so quiet Girl: I'm sure it'll pick up soon. It usually does on a night like this In the girl's hand is a small glass of an orange liquid, probably some kind of juice or tea considering her aid. The girl waves her hand, apparently a signal for the older man to sit, a chance he takes to gladly
Izumi wasn't necessarily in the park for the stars, though they did look very nice. In truth, she was out here watching the moon. Looking between it, and a card in her hand... Hmm... The Moon.... Always such an interesting card.
(He then plays his banjo: https://youtu.be/4G2CGZIWcco )...this is the life
Ene
Uwahhh the stars are so nice tonight~ (Ene practically slides down the hill flapping her over sized hoodie as she does so. It had been so long since she got to see the actual night sky that she almost forgot what it looked like. Yet it seems to be her day today.) I wonder if they from any pictures~ (Tilting her head up she begins to looks about for any particular constellation that can be formed.)
That voice... [Kazuya would blink a few times before pulling the upper part of his body up, looking around with a curious look on his eyes. Sure it was dark now, but the moon at leats provided some light in the middle of the night. Soon, he would find the origin of that voice.] Hey, Ene! It's been a while! [Kazuya tries to get her attention by waving at her and speaking a bit louder than usual.]
Ay..I'm here...yay
Ene
(Tilting her head backwards Ene spots Kazuya and waves to him in return.) Heck yeah it's been a pretty long time since i've last seen ya! What has it been like days ... weeks ...? (She ponders on it since her memory has been a bit off lately, but is immediately distracted by a girl she notices up on the hill. She stares at the girl's cool looking chair and runs past Kazuya to get a better look.) Ooh pretty nice chair you got here~ (She pokes at it fully knowing what a wheelchair is but never having seen one so nice. The girl sitting on it also captures her interest.)
Izumi looks over at the wheelchair girl as well.... nodding a bit to her. I'm surprised to see someone like you out here this late.
After waiting a while, the pair of course couldn't help but overhear Ene and Kazuya, the older gentleman smiles at the girl, who closes her eyes to listen in on them. Now that a few others are here, the girl seems somewhat satisfied to listen. Ene runs up to her, causing the girl to open her eyes, they're some shade of blue, and seem to almost be hidden by a faint cloud in her eyes. Girl: Oh... Thank you. I guess the chair is pretty nice, though I never thought of it before The gentleman chuckles to himself, leaving the two to their own devices. Meanwhile, the girl shifts awkwardly, well, this is part of why she came her after all. Girl: A... Anyways.... Its a pleasure to meet you. M.. My name is Risako of the Kohiyo family.... C... Care to give me yours? With Risako occupied, the gentleman accompanying her soon catches sight of Izumi's staring. So many people might be a bit much, so he takes it upon himself to walk over to Izumi Gentleman: Miss Risako wanted me to bring her out to the stars tonight, supposedly its a popular area after all. And I must say the sky does look lovely, wouldn't you agree?
(edited by Kohiyo_Risako)
Ene
(Ene sticks out a hand and smiles at the young girl.) Pleased to meet ya Risako~ The name is Ene and you are free to call on me anytime as a friend~ (Upon taking a closer look Ene notices Risako's eyes and can't help a slight shiver that passes. Her and anything that had to do with eyes just didn't work well anymore.)
I honestly don't remember how long it's been... Huh... [Kazuya would then stand up and casually walk towards Ene and the girl in the wheelchair. He was rubbing the back of his head at least glad Ene seemed decently fine. Taking this off of his mind, Kazuya bows to the pair before speaking up.] My name is Kazuya Yasuo, sorry for intruding into this conversation so suddenly. [He returns to his usual stance, taking a single step back between Ene and the new girl.] I...figured I should introduce myself since my friend came to you out of nowhere, it's nice to meet you!
Lovely, yeah. Honestly I'm not really one for looking up at them that often. Then again, where I'm from it's a lot easier to see them than it is in the city. So I guess for you folks it's really a treat.
Ene
Hey! You make it sound like I was bothering Risako! (Ene pouts a bit and huffs at Kazuya's remarks as if really offended. With a slight twist of her head she then dubiously looks at him.) And who said we were friend anyway~ Pretty arrogant don't ya think?
[Kazuya crosses his arms over his chest as he turns to look at Ene like some kind of child.] I figured we are friends to some degree...besides, you still have that photo from long ago we took in that booth. [The young man would mess with her further by placing his hand on top of her head.] Besides, you calling me arrogant is rich. You should know by know that I'm just that great~ [He says this last part with a very exaggerated voice, trying to make it very clear he was being sarcastic. He would then ruffle the girl's hair.]
Risako doesn't seem to notice Ene's extended hand. The other girl seems to be very friendly at least. Risako takes a deep breath and nods Risako: T.. Thanks. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.... The girl spends a moment, and is spared the need to think of something to continue the conversation by Kaz's arrival. She straightens up rather quickly, before making some effort at a bow to Kazuya herself. Risako: I.... Its fine Kazuya-San. Pleasure to meet you too... I... Do you two come here together often? The girl shifts nervously in her chair. Meanwhile, the gentleman near Izumi sighs and looks back up at the stars Gentleman: I'll admit, its not as often as I'd like. Still, its never really been about the stars for me. Rather, its the kind of people you can meet
Ene
(Ene frowns slightly at Risato having ignored her hand yet finds no time to dwell on it as she is immediately pet. In almost exaggerated motion her arms begin to flap about with annoyance and she huffs even harder.) No your just being a meanie Kazuya. I am not meant to be pet! (She escapes the ruffling punishment and gives him a ruffling in return by standing on the tops of her tippy toes.) I am the one who does the petting! Bask in my petting glory~ (She ruffles his hair even more and laughs as she does so.)
The kind of person, huh? I mean around here it seems there's only so many kinds of people you can meet. And they seem to fall into one of two camps most of the time. The city life feels like the country life, but faster. Is this really what people think is so great...?
I don't usually come here, Risako, and I'm pretty sure Ene here doesn't either. I don't know though, she is a bit to active. [Kazuya chuckles as Ene ruffles his hair. He decides that he would make it easier as he sits on the grass, pulling the girl down without using too much strenght, he doesn't like being a brute.] And...while my friend here is distracted, why don't you tell us more about yourself? Are you from Tokyo, Risako?
The gentleman shrugs and glances back at Irumi, before looking up the hill at Risako, Ene, and Kazuya Gentleman: I think you'll find there are many kinds of people if you look. For example, you seem like the curious type to me, with all those questions. Then those two up there are more the friendly, or adventurous kind. The man yawns, its starting to get a bit late for him, nevertheless he continues on Gentleman: I myself don't see it fast so much as... Occupied. What might take a week to see out in the country, you can usually find within the hour in a place as large as Tokyo here. The girl briefly looks in Kazuya's direction when she sees her name... She folds her hands together and thinks for a moment, twisting her hair around her fingers as she does so Risako: Y.. Yes and no... M.. My family's lived at the edge of the city all my life. So... I don't really get around the city itself much. I.. I'm sort of on the outskirts.
Ene
(Ene practically falls on top of Kazuya and ends up spitting strands of his hair out.) Ewww ... We are so not friends after this. (Of course the last part comes out as a series of muffled noises as she keeps spitting out hair with a disgusted look. It takes a while but once she gets the strands out she proceeds to strike from behind with a weak punch at Kazuya's back. She jokingly puts a bit of a shock behind it. Nothing to hurt but enough to tingle a bit.) I'll have you know I do wander through places like this often. Just can't remember the last time I did. Oh wait I kind of do .. (Her eyebrows furrow as she thinks.) I think it was like this park place with swings.
(edited by Ene)
A young man wanders into the area, he gazes around the park... Not too many people, and the only person of import is Kazuya. The Summoner is... Something to be wary of, C.Tatsu's red eyes burn for a moment before he simply turns up to the sky and takes a seat. After a bit, he'd spot... Heh, Hydra eh, sea serpents are fun, as he can attest. "Ahhh, what a wonderful night out. Lovely chill in the air, the stars shining, and best of all is that I'm almost ready to begin..." What he's starting, he'll keep inside his thoughts, lest someone happens to be listening in on him at the moment. For a moment, his eyes dart to the young girl, she looks... Oh my, wonder if Izanami could make any use of that one?
The curious type, huh? That's something I've never been called before. Weird, sure. But not curious. I will say things do feel to have slowed down now. Hopefully it's not some sort of calm before the storm once the season ends. As if on cue, and because the OOC never refreshed the page, there was C.Tatsuya talking suspiciously.... Or sooner...
(edited by Izumi)
The gentleman raises an eyebrow and follows Izumi's gaze to C. Tatsu, something seems off about the young man, but nothing too weird. He shrugs and turns back to his conversation partner Gentleman: Yes, curious, inquisitive, all those things. I'm not sure who you're friends with, but I haven't found anyone particularly strange yet Risako briefly turns towards Ene... She remembers being told something about common ground right? The girl nods, a little more confident when she speaks Risako: I.. I'll admit. This is the first time I've been to a park in a while. I usually just... Remain at home. What is it you like about parks?
The outskirts...? I see, I'm actually from inside of the city, Kichijouji to be more specific. You really should go to the city more! There are a lot of fun places there, and I'm sure you would have a lot of fun. [Kazuya would then rub the back of his head as Ene gets annoyed at him. He would try to tap on her shoulder and attempt to ask for forgiveness before it got any worse.] Hey, Ene I'm sorry for that. I mean, we shouldn't stop being friends becuase of something like that...tell you what! I'll do anything this one time!
Suddenly a greenish freakishly tall man in a strange black business suit would be standing atop the hill as well. He would carry an overly large blade on his back and his eyes were of a solid red hue. He seems to laugh a bit upon walking up to everyone. N. Zane: "Ayyyyyyyy, how's it going? Enjoyin the star show, mates?"
"Morgana" stays in the shadows, watching C.Tatsuya, trying to keep his eyes off the stars. That one over there seems... Interesting.
Ene
Well I like the wide open spaces of parks. (Ene sits cross legged on the ground as she attempt to think of a way to explain it.) You know how sometimes you just got a lot of .. umm .. energy and stuff ... Well it happens pretty often for me so I like running around in a park. (She awkwardly rubs her head at her petty explanation. What was she a child .) You know letting the wind do its swoosh thing through your hair and ... (She suddenly stops talking before she can make it weirder and instead tries to distract herself with Kazuya.) Well I was kind of kidding but if you insist ... (Looking around she finds nothing of interest save for a random dude laying on the grass. He looks pretty peaceful and Ene can't think of anything so with a malicious grin she asks.) I want you to ruffle his hair like you did to me! Redeem yourself~
He'd grin over at Izumi, geez is she already suscept? For all, she knows he could be talking about opening a new cafe or some such crap! Never mind that it's actually evil, she's being pretty rude. He'd saunter toward the girl, a cocky grin on his face. "Yare yare kid, don't just assume that I'm evil because you heard me muttering a bit! For all you know I could be planning a surprise party or something..." He chuckles, he'll actually attempt to seem friendly enough for now... And oh dear god why is he here? Well, not as though it's a bad thing, just a shock. "I'm not so bad ya know! Red eyes are a bit odd, but geez don't assume the worst of people or anything..." He'd then turn to "Zane" and wave, the grin grows a bit wider as he turns to his "friend". "And yes quite so, it's rather lovely out here tonight. Though, I'm rather curious about the sword... It's not everyday someone lugs something like that around, more of a longsword guy myself."
Risako pauses and crosses her hands again, placing them in her lap. She takes a deep breath to steady her nerves before responding Risako: W... Well, I have started going out a bit more recently, its just... S.. Somewhat new for me. Its very crowded there. Risako blinks and looks over in the direction of N.Zane. She doesn't seem to notice anything weird about him. So the girl takes a deep breath and mutters under her breath Risako: Its just a third person, it'll be fine. Heart racing, Risako waves towards Zane, as though seeking his attention Risako: I... I'm doing... Rather well, thank you for asking... A... An.... She's a bit more comfortable listening to Ene's explanation than talking. The girl waits patiently, taking a few deep breaths, she always kind of liked things being described for her, back when her parents would do it. So she looks down when Ene suddenly stops... A brief moment passes before she opens her mouth again. Risako:S... Sorry... E... Ene-san... Would you mind... I mean... If its ok.... Please keep going. The girl briefly wonders how much else she's been missing stuck at home. It always used to be enough for her, but every day she's finding out all sorts of new things.
I never said you were evil, but it's nice to know you're concerned about being seen as evil. Things have merely been boring as of late. Even the cafes seem to be taking extra days off. She grins at C.Tatsuya, honestly she's now very curious as to his intentions. Someone with his level of general edge probably isn't planning a party, after all.
Ruffle his...!? [Kazuya would keep quiet and then look up to the sky. Then he would quickly turn his COMP on and check the hour. It seemed like it was pretty late and so, he stood up and bowed.] It's a bit late for me and the trip back home takes a long time so...see ya! [Without saying any other word, Kazuya turns around and leaves the area.]
Ene
(Ene glances to Risako with surprise clear on her face.) Oh wow i'm not used to people actually wanting to listen in... (She coughs to clear any remaining bits of awkward and continues.) Well I also like parks cuz of all the people around. Like now there are so many people that you could even throw a party. Kind of cool to me~ Oh parks also have a bunch of animals that I happen to like. (Leaning against Risako's wheelchair she continues to ramble on.) Like birds that sing and all the dogs that people bring~ Animals are just really cool! Oh and swimming in a lake is fun too! Better with friends of course~ Sigh I wish I spent more time doing that. (She then stares at Kaz and frowns.) Well then ...
(edited by Ene)
"Mona" finally begins to step out of the shadows. My, my... He approaches C.Tatsuya. What red eyes you have.
If not for that fact that "Zane" is here, he'd just as soon start laughing and tell the truth. Not that he'll fight right now, but dear god is he glad that Kazuya left... Not entirely sure he could of kept the act up after that. But, he'd grin at Mona upon hearing that, for some reason the thing seems almost like a Shadow himself. "Indeed they are, and yours are a fine yellow as well. Heh, call me Suou. And I do believe it might be nice to meet ya, though I don't like making assumptions there."
"Mona" grins back. I'd consider them a golden but I digress; my name is Morgana. It's a pleasure to meet you, mister Suou. He takes a bow.

Risako tenses up a little at the thought of a large crowd. The girl begins shaking a bit as she closes her eyes to listen Risako: T... There are how many? Rather than think too much on that question, Risako takes a deep breath to focus on the rest of it. The girl never had a pet dog before, but she's met a few in her relatively rare ventures out. Risako: What's swimming like? I.. If you don't mind me asking. I've never actually been, though, we do have a pool at home. Risako looks down to the grass where Kazuya once sat, he was right, it is starting to get rather late. But... Its much harder to find a small group in the day, times like this are much better. Seeing Izumi and a few others in deep conversation, the gentleman takes that as his cue to return. Smiling to those gathered around Izumi before returning to his seat near Risako, faintly chuckling when he sees the girl, finally talking a bit more
Ene
There are lot of people I guess. (Ene yawns a bit as she begins to feel a bit tired.) Swimming is like ya know ... Move in water with your arms. (She yawns yet again and her eyes start to droop.) Oh looks likw im falling asleep here. Guess it's my time to leave. Bye Risato~ (With a final yawn Ene stands up and walks out of the area.)
