How to get water out of an Iphone 6s+?
I didn't have this thing for over a month and something bad happens to it. I hate my life. But yeah, read title.
have you tried turning it off and then on again? I joke, that's the last thing you should do. In reality one popular method I've heard of is to get something highly absorbant, like rice, and put your phone in a bag of it, in hopes that the water will be naturally drawn out
And how long with that take?
if context helps anyone tryin to help malintent: it was toilet water. but from what i've heard, and tried,,, rice doesnt work. then again, i dont know what other options exist.
Supposedly it takes at least a day Of course, the best thing would be to have silica gel packets, its a type of industrial material used to prevent things such as foods from molding, but those are much harder to get. Also, look around your bare phone, there should be an area that is glowing red on one of the sides, such as near the volume buttons. Keep your phone off as long as this warning light is on, if everything works the light should turn off within a day or two
Sorry, was out ordering food. Anyways: 1. Just say Mal. 2. I checked with my sister, and the only thing that isn't working is the sound. But the sound does work with headphones. 3. I don't really see a red light, nor do I have silica gel packets.
I think I heard that putting it in rice would help because it would take out all the water. Rip phone though.
Drink it.
I use to work at a store that had to fix this issue all the time. So, right off the bat: Rice is a dumb idea. It's a wives tale that actually can cause more harm than good. I can't tell you how many people have tried this, and then were shocked that rice got stuck inside the speaker, audio jack, or other small cracks, then swelled everything shut because water expands rice, effectively bricking the phone, or having to bring it to us to try and pick this crap out of the phone's insides. If you dunked your phone, turn it off asap. Dry the outside with a towel, flip it upside down and shake it gently to try and get excessive water to drip out. From there, leave your phone out for 24 hours and don't touch it. Let it dry out. Try to turn it on after 24 hours. Longer if you are afraid of frying the circuits. **Do not connect the power cable** Just see if it turns on. If the phone turns on, take a thin dollar tree q-tip and tap (do not drag) the underside connector to really make sure it's dry before trying the power cable If the phone turns on, you are golden. If not, RIP.
