Games you have played recently...
👑 -- I am half asleep and we require more general discussions. It has been a while since P5 was released and we have most likely been playing other games during this time. So... what are they? And which were your favorites?
Lets see... For the most part I have played smaller games on Steam, such as Gloom, Slay the Spire, and Titan's Souls. I also have started DIgimon World Next Order, but kinda hit a slog there. Out of these four I'd say Gloom is my favorite, its a fairly simple game with Souls-like themes if nothing else. I'd suggest looking it up yourself, not the best at description
Recently I've played alot alot alot of bloodborne thanks to PS+! It's pretty much got me hooked onto the souls series! Although with almost 3/4 characters, one of which I'm trying to max arcane and bash my head against Orphan of Kos for that pure arcane weapon it's starting to show some errors but I have alot of fun with it! Otherwise Crusader Kings 2 is fun as well! I never knew how deep paradox games were! It's amazing! It really does make you say some things you wouldn't expect though. Such as "I'll just marry my child to their king, kill myself, then use my child to usurp the throne!".
I've been playing a lot of different fighting games recently. I don't know what it is, but I got really attached to them. Some of my recent favourites being Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, Mortal Kombat Armageddon, Fantasy Strike, Divekick, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, and MUGEN (this last one I've been wanting to learn for a long time). In other genres, some of my recent favourites are Kingdom Hearts 2, Yomi, Battlezone 98 Redux, Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (Both games), and even a bit of Yandere Simulator for curiosity's sake. Out of all of these, Kingdom Hearts 2 has to be my favourite. Not only is the gameplay fun, addictive and deep, but it manages to keep my attention (despite the fact that sometimes the story doesn't make a whole lot of sense). There's a reason it's one of my favorite game series of all time.
I haven’t really gotten any new games so I’ve been doing stupid challenges in the games I do have. I think my dumbest has been Joker only on Risky difficulty. I’m pretty sure it’s impossible.
👑 -- I have personally played Monster Hunter World, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Ni No Kuni 2. I have also picked up Fire Emblem Echoes where I left off a decent while ago. My favorite is most likely Ni No Kuni 2, clearly. However, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 would've likely come first if we had those quality of life patches from the start. So much... unskippable and pointless dialogue.... They both are fantastic games and I love them equally, but Ni No Kuni 2 treated me right from the start, therefore it comes first for me.
Goodness, it's been weeks since I last turned on Splatoon 2! The last time I played, I got Profreshional rank on Salmon Run during one of the easiest rotations I've done: two Brellas, a .96 Gal, and a Splat Charger on Lost Outpost. I should prolly get back into it and complete the story mode before that Octo Expansion story comes out.
I've been playing a ton of Mario Oddessy and I have to say, it does not disappoint at all. Everything is amazing. I've been playing the Puyo Puyo Tetris demo slot because I'm broke, and it's pretty fun. And finally, I recently got Zelda: Spirit Tracks from a Friend, when it's actually pretty good. I like it.

Lol, me too! Shall we make a Phansite Splatoon 2 squad? Also, I play FFXIV a lot. Although, I tend to have trouble getting others to play with me
Lol, me too! Shall we make a Phansite Splatoon 2 squad? Also, I play FFXIV a lot. Although, I tend to have trouble getting others to play with me 👑 -- I am already in a Splatoon 2 squad. And as for FFXIV - I play it as well, however I have recently moved from my main server with the goal to sort of be alone. I tend to be a bit of a lone wolf. However, I wouldn't be opposed to playing with you if possible. I play as WHM, usually.
I have just beaten a Legend of Zelda game for the first time ever recently, it was Link Between Worlds. It was pretty enjoyable!

Other than Persona 5, I played Fortnite once and named my account EscapeWhileUCan and hooboi
Like I said Final fantasy type-0 and still love it. For my birthday I got Devil may cry HD Collection and FF12 the Zodiac age HD, so these are my priorities. FF12 I already played through on the PS2, so It will be hard and fun to go through all these Mobs and Espers again. And Devil may cry I always wanted to play but I never had the age, money or opportunity for it. So I am happy the HD collection came. Problem is I pretty such at it so far.XD Well I am far in the game, just, I mess up a lot.
I've been going between Ni No Kuni 2 and Tokyo Xanadu a lot. Other than that I had been going through some older games as well such as Final Fantasy: Four Heroes of Light and (not quite as old but worth a mention) Fantasy Life. Obviously, I like Ni No Kuni 2 a decent amount. The sheer amount of content in the game is really cool to me and the combat while pretty easy is still fairly engaging. I especially enjoy some of the more challenging tainted monster battles which really push the combat system to the brink and turn a relatively easy game into something much more brutal. Speaking of easy, Tokyo Xanadu is pretty good as well. It's not a very well known game but its very similar to Persona in story. The main difference with this game is that it's an action rpg rather than turn-based. The dungeons aren't too hard aside from how hard it is to regain lost health when you take damage and how harsh the grading system can be if you don't play the game the way it wants to be played. The real challenge comes from the boss fights which range from mildly annoying to having all your characters die within 2 minutes because the boss has a unique pattern you have to get used to. Solid choice in my mind if you're looking for something similar to Persona but not Persona. As for the other two, Final Fantasy: Four Heroes of Light for anyone who doesn't know it is essentially Bravely Default's predecessor. The combat is very similar aside from no brave/default system obviously and there are even jobs that have their own unique systems to mix up how a character fights although they aren't nearly as expansive as Bravely Defaults job system. Still, a solid game if you're looking for an rpg with an interesting story and job system. Finally, the game I'd only say is ok which is Fantasy Life. I actually got this game when it first came out and got bored with it quickly. Its an odd game being an action RPG that advertises a lot of freedom and it can be a little fun for the first few hours but I have to say that it's also a very flawed game. There actually isn't much freedom in the game to start with honestly as you have to do the main story to open more areas up. Another thing I dislike is how unless you want to continuously spend money in the game you have to have almost all of the crafting and collecting jobs to gather everything yourself. This also adds to another issue I have with how much it feels as though the job system is too open. I understand the desire to have the freedom to switch jobs freely but there doesn't even seem to be any consequence to picking up a different job. Of course, I could go on all day with criticism for this game as its only ok really but there is a certain appeal to crafting armor and weapons from metal and wood that you collected yourself within the game even if it does take quite a while just to be able to collect everything needed to craft something as simple as a set of iron armor. Went on a bit of a tangent there, I apologize if this was a little long but I suppose I was a little eager to share my recent experiences with games.
I think for the last couple weeks I've been playing White Knight Chronicles... and basically nothing else. The game won't end, save me. It's pretty fun though. I get distracted by side content a lot, and I can't say the story is hugely engaging, but it kind of reminds me of some things I used to like about Final Fantasy once upon a time. A sort of spark FF itself lost in more modern titles. Pretty cool I'd say, coming from the same game company that makes Professor Layton.
👑 -- Y'all coming over here with actually decent things to say while I was basically like "Can't skip annoying dialogue 7/10". I am glad everyone is enjoying their games of choice, though! Might have to look into some of these games that were mentioned, I am a bit curious.
