GYM of the Dead
Once again, the lights of the GYM begin to flicker on, seemingly without anyone's interference. A ghostly figure would begin to fade into view as a hearty laughter filled the building. The figure would begin coughing though suddenly before forming into Ghost Akihiko. "Cough Cough Too much protein Powder..." Ghost Akihiko would quickly unlock the door before phasing into the ceiling looking for Ghost Water.
The lights flicker once again, and a breeze begins to build up in GYM. In a burst of wind, the winged figure of Death now stands in the center of GYM. The wings dissipate into black feathers, falling to the ground like leaves in autumn. "Death pays a visit... to the home of a damned soul..." For the moment he just stands there, staring at the point where G. Akihiko went into the ceiling.
A... Okay, even in his costume he doesn't look older than 16 tops. Even so, he walks through the doors and looks around curiously. Looking out from behind a red mask with web patterns over it. "Huh, lights are on and the door's open. I'd have expected someone to be behind the counter but nope not at all. Well nothing to do but wait then, I've got nowhere to be after all for now. Besides, gotta take in more of the local flavor before I go crime-fighting or anything." For now, the boy simply leaps upward and onto the ceiling, he'd hang off it and look down at the door from his perch.
A man in a business suit would walk into the GYM with a briefcase in hand. The suit wouldn't even seem to have any effort put into tucking it in and a watch would loosely be strapped to his wrist. Anyone who examined the watch closely would see that all the numbers were replaced with cartoonish looking images of the man's face. He'd look around anxiously as if expecting someone to be here and upon finding no one but a few patrons he'd almost look frustrated. "The owners of this facility have forsaken me once more! I still need to talk with them about the state of the parking for this facility...Barely any parking spaces! Perhaps I should simply add a parking lot myself..."
Spidey looks down at Carl for a moment, hopping off the ceiling and waving toward the man in the suit. "Yo, some kinda businessman? Kinda odd to see you in a place where I hear superheroes train..." There's a hint of amusement in the boy's voice, he'd pause for a moment before smirking, the shift visible even under his mask. "But I know another businessman who's not quite what he first seems, so something tells me you're not just some guy in a fancy suit are you? Name's Spider-Man, and I'm here to uh train... So, you up for it?" There's an awkward pause at that point, the young man's not 100% sure his guess about Carl is even correct in this case. More of a wild gut feeling, but eh he's done crazier things based on those before.
Carl would almost be surprised by Peter's offer but he'd quickly smile calmly before undoing the straps on his briefcase. He'd open it up to reveal a small pen-like device with a red button located on one end. He'd gently take the device out and hold it in his hand. "A test run? Yes, my products do need some testing. Quite an unusual outfit you have on, tell me, how many tons of force do you think you could withstand? It's always rather difficult to test some of our more experimental products because we can never find willing subjects. The same goes for the extent of my powers as typically people are too afraid to even have a friendly spar with me. It's for that reason I have to carry around this little device as well. Can you guess what might happen when I press it?"
After Carrying the fucking warthog through the city Lopez throws it at the GYM Hoping to hit someone and the Red team music plays as it is thrown
The large "man" barely fit through the front door of the GYM with his 5 foot long, double edge sword and his 8 foot shield. When he walks in, he see's a "tin man", a "man in suit", and he see's a face that he thought he would of never see again, "Spidey". He looks at everyone with a angry expression.
The boy would respond to Carl, with... 10 or so, without suffering a major injury, if not for the fact that suddenly every hair on the back of his neck stood up and he's already leaping into motion. "AW CRAP, GET DOWN MR WE GOTTA MOVE!" The boy rushes with inhuman speed, a white line of webbing flying from his left wrist and pulling him onto the wall at that end of the building. At the same time, Carl would be pulled off to that wall as well by a line from his other hand. The man might notice why, as he sees a freaking large jeep flying through the wall and toward where the two had been standing moments ago. In his haste, the boy doesn't even notice Hulk for now. "Geez, sorry about the rush Mr... Uh, hopefully, someone can clean up that mess. Geez who even does something like tossing a car into a building."
A uniform wearing teenager steps into the GYM, using a small comb to comb his very stylish pompadour that you really shouldn’t make fun of... no really, don’t. Being too focused on combing his hair, he accidentally bumps into the Hulk, falling down right on his butt. With an angered look on his face, he looks up to only scold the person who he just bumped into. “Hey, watch where you’re standi-“ The teen stops speaking upon seeing the size of the giant green man, along with how menacing he looked. His face went pale as a drop of sweat ran down his face.
Carl would be shocked for a moment before he grew angry. Seeing a vehicle mistreated so, it brought rage to him. He'd press the button without a moment's hesitation. Suddenly a powerful aura radiated around the man. The energy could be felt clearly but it was less akin to a energy being added and more as if a power that had always been there was released. Carl would stand up before waving his hand towards the jeep. Suddenly the jeep would begin roaring to life before quickly rushing out of the building and back towards the one who threw it with far more force and speed than the jeep would've had before. "Such brutality must be punished. To mistreat a vehicle that performs its duty so admirably, it is a crime against nature!" Carl would take a moment to calm down as the energy around him seemed to become more still and calm. He would turn back to the boy with a smile. "I apologize for my outburst. I am Carl Icahn, the richest man in the multiverse and also the owner of Icahn Incorporated. My company specializes in the manufacture of vehicles, the likes of which have never been seen to any world. Now, you said you wanted to spar? I would be more than happy to award your patience if you'd forgive my outburst."
The Hulk was about to speak, but he saw Lopez throwing the warhog at Spidey. He points his sword at Lopez and clashes his shield and sword together with great might, making a echoing sound through the GYM. The monster finally spoke. Hahahaha.... New toy to smash. He looks at the scared Josuke. MOVE! He said this at the top of his lungs. Using his power, he started to charge at Lopez and proceeded to use his sword and swing it at Lopez.
A uniform wearing teenager walks into the unfamiliar GYM, using a small comb to comb his coveted pompadour. Being a little too focused on combing his hair, he accidentally trips over... another version of himself, falling straight on his face. With an angered look on his face, he looks back behind himself to only scold the person who he just fell over into. “Hey, watch where you’re layi-“ The teen stops speaking upon seeing both another version of himself, along with the giant green man who was once hovering over them both and now running at Lopez. His face went pale, with a visible swallow going down his throat.
Josuke quickly scurries to the side after seeing that the giant green man was charging his way. At this point, the teen was scared shitless, not only because of the Hulk’s booming voice, but that fact that he almost got trampled by the damn thing. Getting to his feet while heavily breathing, Josuke leans up against a wall to catch his breath.
The boy whistles, so he can control cars? Maybe even vehicles on the whole. That's a pretty weird power, weird but effective that is... And then the boy would look toward Hulk, oh shit it's Hulk. "Oh hey Hulk, I can't say we've met before... At least in my case, but good to finally meet another Avenger. Have fun with the property destroying robot dude." Part of him thinks he should try to spare the bot of Hulk's wrath, but he can't really say he's that worried about. Upon hearing Carl speak, Spidey would turn back to the man and shrug, extending a hand toward him for a moment. "Hey man don't sweat it, we've all got things that make us angry and frankly if seeing a guy cause random damages for no reason does it, I can't blame you. I was gonna deal with the perp myself, but I think tall big and green can deal with things. As for how many tons of force... I've never tested it too much, but uh 10 or so shouldn't hurt me too badly from what I've been hit by before?" With that unsure remark, he'd then walk off to a sparing ring and look toward Carl, getting into a slightly odd fighting stance with both his wrists pointed toward his foe, of course, the idea behind that should be clear given his trick to evade the car.
Ooc: Damn you editing error... After catching his breath, Josuke would look over to the side, only to see himself? Was he hallucinating, or could this be the work of an enemy sta- Nah, he’s probably hallucinating... “W-What, is that... me?” Jouske points to the obvious imposter. “H-Hey, who the hell are you?!”
Carl would return his hand for a handshake before joining Peter in the arena. Having already seen his trick from before he knew what to expect and was prepared to counter if he had to. He'd take out the pen and quickly begin adjusting it. The energy around him seemed to change somehow, not lessening or growing but just adapting to a different form. "Very well, readjusting for a maximum of 15 tons. Given that's only if I'm pushing my power a bit harder. It should average to about ten when exerting myself normally. Now, would you care to start or would you leave that honor to me?"
*The Nomad enters the GYM, not knowing what it the place was about but entered it due to seeing some intresting people that were here* *The Nomad would happily wave to everyone*
The Hulk was about to swing his sword when he saw Lopez dodging it and saw him run off. He shrugged it off and walked back into the GYM. When he walked back, he see's that it was a mess caused by the "tin man". When he see's Spiderman talking to the man in the suit (Carl Ichan). He looks at Spiderman. Spider-man? Hulk look for Tony? Where Tony? He said this in a calmer tone. Not normal for his nature. He see's Josuke that was leaning against the wall and he started to chuckle at him. He looks at Higashikata Josuke and then looked back at Josuke Higashikata. He scratched his head and gave a confusing look.
The teen finally picks himself up, softly touching his hair to make sure it's still in decent form, before walking over to his other self. Fortunately, he's somehow able to keep himself calm. Besides, it's not the weirdest thing he's encountered. "That's what I should be asking you. Besides that, where am I anyways? I was just coming home from school, and... white light... Agh, damn it, I can't remember anything past that!" He looks over at Hulk. While he's intimidated by his size, he decides to bite the bullet and say hi. "Higashikata Josuke, first year attending Budo-ga Oka High School. It's a pleasure to meet you." He gives Hulk a deep bow, trying his best not to get on the guy's nerves, although he's sweating quite profusely.
Hmm... Spider-Sense only benefits him on defense, but in this case being up close seems like his safest bet, plus it should give ahead notice before a car is sent rushing at him or something. "I'll take the first move Mr. Icahn, I've got something of an idea in mind here... Though it could get dicey. Oh and Hulk, I haven't got a clue where Mr. Stark is, haven't seen him since I woke up in this crazy place." The boy would then angle his hands upwards, webbing rushing from it and toward the back wall behind Carl, Spidey rushes through the air by pulling himself along. Only to leap upward off the web line and latch onto the roof of the building, to be exact he'd be directly above Carl at this point, assuming he hadn't been forced to evade anything anyways.
Josuke listened in on the other teen’s name. Higashikata Josuke... Wait, that’s his name too! First this other “Josuke” steals his style, and now he has stolen his own name? Just who does this guy think he is? Calming down a bit, Josuke puts a fist on his hip, standing up straight, staring at the other Josuke. “I’d never thought it would come to meeting myself in this strange city... But, how can I tell if you’re a fake or not?”
The Hulk see's Higashikata Josuke trying to be polite to him. He never gets this kind of reaction, since most people either want to shoot at him with missiles, bullets, fists, run away, or even shove him into a spaceship and send him into space because he was too dangerous for society. He looks at Higashikata Josuke carefully. You no attack Hulk? Puny human weak. He brushes off the polite and ignores him. He didn't like Spider-Man's answer so he used his might to crush the hilt of his sword like it was a soda can and then bent his shield in two and then turned it into a paper ball and thrown at the ground, only to be stuck on the floor and you can only see the half of the crumbled shield. He then started to smash the floor with all of his might after, being angry at Spider-Man's answer.
*The Nomad would take out some rocks and set them on the ground before clapping his hands twice* *The rocks would soon gain some eyes and stick figure like hands and legs*
Niko enters the GYM, unsuspecting of what awaits... He suddenly thinks to himself that he shouldn't have entered. Two Josukes, Spider-Goddamn-Man and the Hulk... Great. "..." He throws his hands into the air and yells. "THAT'S IT! I'M DONE!"
Carl would look up with both hands behind his back. He'd raise one of his hand towards Peter before speaking once more. "Evading me by latching to the ceiling? Clever move but being a vehicle tycoon means more than selling cars." From behind Peter and slightly above Carl from the front a biplane would seem to form as if out of strange glowing particles. The strangest thing about it was that it was running from the moment it was brought it. The biplane would roar loudly as it sailed just a little below the roof of GYm at a speed one would expect of a biplane in midflight. The aim of the plane specifically was for the wings to make direct impact with Peter while avoiding hitting him with the propeller blades. After it moves past Peter the biplane would seem to form back into the particles it came in as before disappearing.
He gives a big sigh after managing to not make the green man mad. Really, a rude response is better than a negative one. But hearing the other Josuke, he gives a bit of smirk and brings himself back up from the bow, turning to his other. He takes a fighting stance, with his right foot forward. "Well, I can think of one way... Crazy Diamond!" Bringing his now bent arms back and thrusting his chest forward, and with a pink aura flaring up around himself he calls out his Stand in a burst of pink, the humanoid stand of Crazy Diamond now resting beside Josuke in the same pose. "Hey, you up for this? Well, if you're really me, I bet you are."
A foxboy in a hoodie enters the GYM, taking note of the.. peculiar cast of characters. ...What even is this place right now...? Oh well... Might as well gather information. Her takes out his typical handscanner, paying special attention to the battles at hand. Anything will be useful. Maybe he could put these moves into a battle-drone or something.
Upon seeing the new arrival, Niko just goes to a random corner and sits there. He's contemplating his life so far. "Well, at least I can give the previous world I was in a low-to-no chaos rating..." Ugh, even mentioning it sorta brings back bad memories... He puts his head down.
Spider-Sense! "Aww man, planes too huh? You got any spaceships, Mr. Icahn? I've always wanted my own X-Wing so if your guys can make em that'd be great!" The boy leaps off the ceiling, quickly latching onto the top of the plane. Almost as if he'd seen the attack coming before it even fired off. Yet for some reason, his Spider-Sense is still going off? Man, he must be losing it in this craz- moments later he'd find himself falling through the air, tumbling down toward Carl after the plane fades way once again. "AHHHH THAT WAS NOT PART OF MY PLAN!" The boy would begin screaming and flailing about as he fails, yet under his mask there's a smirk. Not the first time he's fallen through the air like this, and he'd quickly set himself with both feet pointed toward the ground, shooting a long web line down below Carl, he'd quickly pull himself along with it and dash down toward the man's chest with both feet aimed in a flying kick. "Of course, no plan survives contact with the enemy. I've learned that the hard way Mr. Icahn!"
After making a 12 foot hole in the ground, he climbs out of it and jumps out of the GYM, leaving a hole in the ceiling where the light shines through it. When he jumped out of it, he was a mile away from the GYM. He knew that Spider-Man was not his enemy, but he knew he was hiding something. So, he leaped into the air again, trying to search for Tony.
(edited by Hulk)
*The Nomad would noticed tails and waves to him... as well as the rocks*
Looking at the other Josuke’s familiar stand, Josuke lets out a small chuckle. A pink aura surrounding the teenager flares up, causing his hair to blow upwards a bit. “Heh, you know me well... Crazy Diamond!” The instant Josuke called for his stand, the pink aura surrounding him would fade away as a humanoid, similar to the one the other Josuke summoned, manifests next Josuke with its right fist raised up to its armored face, glaring at the other Josuke.
A nondescript being enters GYM in a nondescript manner.
Tails blinked at the Nomad suddenly waving to him. He lowered his scanner and waved back, though he was clearly confused. Also what the fuck is that. ^
X-Wing?... Niko snaps out of his moment of contemplation and he stands up and points at Spider-Man. "I understood that reference." He smirks.
Josuke stands surprised as he sees another version of his own stand right in front of him, before grinning. He gets himself into a fighting stance, and his Stand does the same. "So, we really are one in the same... Well, at least we should be. But how about we test that? Let's go on three." He waits for the other Josuke to acknowledge his idea before starting his countdown. "One... two... Three!" The moment he reaches the target number, Crazy Diamond bursts forwards towards his other self, unleashing a flurry of punches, with a loud DORARARARARA as always.
Carl Icahn having watched Peter fall into a swinging motion would barely have enough time to react. He'd quickly gesture his hand forward before trying to seemingly draw a circle in the air. As Pete approached the ethereal image of a car would seem to cover Carl. He'd still be knocked back by the strike but for Peter, it'd be like tricking a metal wall. "Urgh...You're much stronger than you appear to be. I suppose that's to be expected though. I'll have to try and do something more...unexpected...As for an 'X-Wing', I'm not sure quite what you're referring to but Icahn Incorporated, of course, has devices capable of traversing space. However, I'm uncertain why you would want such a primitive device. Perhaps for a relaxing and long trip? Hmmm..." As Carl pondered that idea he'd raise his hand once more as a strange looking car came zooming out from behind Peter and would try to run him over going at around 80 miles per hour. The car would continue after its attempt and begin going around in circles within the arena.
*The Nomad walked to the two Josukes and was able to see their stands (mostly thanks to him being a magical creature) but did not think that was strange... also his rocks followed The Nomad* *But stopped in a safe distance*
Right before Higashikata’s countdown slowly begins, Josuke gets a simple, but clever idea that could most likely work to outsmart even himself. After thinking up the idea, Crazy Diamond would move in front of Josuke a little with both of its hands in fists. On three, Crazy Diamond would move towards the Higashikata’s Crazy Diamond, sending out a flurry of punches while yelling out the same “DORARARA” stand cry as the other stand. If both stands were to get close enough, they would both get locked in a stand clash where only the speed and power of the punches matter to break out of it.
Stronger than he looks? Of course... "Proportional strength of a jumping spider, I can handle about... one hundred and seventy times my body weight or so? Of course, that's the upper limits, tossing around the usual car or such doesn't even make a guy like me break a sweat... Though uh, that green guy who just left makes me look weak, just a quick FYI." Hmm, where to go from here anyway? Oh yeah. "And geez, you must be from the far future or something man. Come on, never heard of Star Wars? It's classic Sci-Fi movies right there, though really more so Sci-Fi Fantasy tha-" Oh right they're fighting, a fact which Peter would be reminded of by a car crashing into him and sending the boy flying backward with a wince. Despite the car crash, he'd stand up and rub his head for a moment. "Ouch... Geez, I always do that in these kinda matches ya know? When there's an actual danger to be dealt with focusing is a lot easier, but not so much here." This time as the car passes by he'd dart, aiming to get down low and make himself a smaller target while moving toward the thing. Assuming it kept on course, it would soon have a spider under it. Who'd then slam both his palms up and send the car flying up into the air, before aiming a quick web line toward Carl's right leg and aims to pull the man down if it hits.
As the two Stands clashes, meeting punch for punch, Josuke couldn't do much but bit his lip. He knew he wasn't able to back out of the lock, lest he take a punch to the jaw, but he knew his other self wouldn't back down either... "Tsk, should've thought this through more... At the very least, we're equal enough for this." Josuke's mind continues to whir as he thinks up something to get past their clash, and show him who the better Josuke is...
Niko decides that waiting for Spider-Goddamn-Man to stop fighting so he can talk to him is a waste of time, so he decides to leave. He can always try again at a later date, right?
*The Nomad would sit down and let his rocks get on his lap, with a happy look on his eyes and played with them as he waited*
Carl would be pulled to the ground by the web as he was unable to do anything to resist while concentrating. What he was concentrating on might surprise the web-slinger though. Carl would simply glance up from the ground with a serious expression as the car would change shape in mid-air. Suddenly the tires would retract back into it and wings would form on its sides. The front of the car would become more rounded as thrusters seemed to form out of the back. "Not the far future, well, in the sense I'd imagine you meant. I've been too many worlds, some far more advanced than this one and through my travels, Icahn Incorporated has been absorbing more and more technology. Even something as simple as a car can become quite advanced if you tweak the design enough. Now, allow me to show you!" The car's thrusters would power on causing it to propels downwards where Peter was standing. It would of course crash into the ground regardless of whether it hit or not but rather than breaking apart upon making impact with the ground it would disappear in a burst of particles like the biplane before.
Unlike Higashikata, Josuke has a more look of confidence on his face as both of the stands connected their punches. This is where his small plan can fall into play. “We may be equal at the moment, but not for long!” In the midst of Crazy Diamond’s punches, the stand stops punching and instead lock both of its arms in an “X” position, guarding itself from the enemy stand’s punches. While doing so, the stand would turn to the right a bit, raising its right leg a little. After that, the stand would sharply twist its body to the left, attempting to kick the enemy Crazy D.’s left leg to get it off balance.
HOLY CRAP WHAT!? The wall-crawler's got no time to dodge in this case, it's halfway to him already... He'd sling his hands out and spin, web lines flying from his shooters as the boy aims to place a thick shield of webbing in between himself and the plane, two lines on the top and bottom bind it to the roof and floor, but he's not even sure the plane won't be able to simply move past it. And of course, the thing has enough force that even if it does have to break through, he'll simply be slowing it down and lowering the damage he takes rather than blocking.
Carl would begin trying to untangle himself from the webbing as Peter deals with the flying car.His concentration on the vehicle, however, would not stall. The webbing would almost succeed in slowing the car down but the thrusters would keep pushing to break through. Carl would once more order the car to increase in both speed and force causing the thrusters to burst with even more power. It would aim to rip through the webbing but rather than aim to hit Peter directly it would instead smash into the ground in front of him hoping to hit him with the impact of force that such an impact would most likely give off before the car vanished.
"Wh-what?!" Josuke panics as his other apparently had a plan all along. He decides to quickly meet the kick with his own leg, keeping himself stable for the most part. "Tsk, damn. You've definitely had tactics over me right there. But I'm not out yet!" His own Crazy Diamond then begins to pick back up it's rush, before ending with a hard uppercut, aiming to rip open the other C. Diamond's defense, then bash him square in the jaw with a right hook. "Let's see you get out of this one, me!"
The car would, in fact, do what Icahn expected, losing only a bit of force from breaking through the boy's shield of webbing before no doubt slamming down nearby its foe and causing a large shockwave. Said blastwave would quickly send Spidey flying through the air, tumbling along the ground of GYM for a moment before he manages to get himself straight and fire a pair of web lines, blasting them onto the other end of the building and yanking himself to a halt. "Geez Mr. Icahn, that was something else I've got to admit... What kind of power source do these crazy things run on anyway? I've never met anything quite that advanced in terms of vehicles." Despite the casual chat the boy would quickly begin running toward Carl, he'd easily hit about 40 MPH by breaking into a sprint at this point. "Rapid fire!" At his shout, the web shooters on his wrists would quickly realign themselves, sending out fairly small blobs of the substance. However, about 6 of them rush at Carl aimed toward his knees, chest, and shoulders, in theory, they'd make movement harder and more annoying. If they're not blocked by a car or something.
Carl would do nothing to avoid the webbing letting it restrict his movement completely. Instead, he'd focus on his next move as the energy around him seemed to begin spiking. "It's a special form of energy not unsimilar to the one that granted me this power. All our vehicles are set with a different method of utilizing this energy, however, that's where the power I use becomes different. I do not use it, it is a part of me just as much as I am a part of it now." Carl would focus the energy as several tiny drones seemed to come out of thin air from behind him. They'd each be shaped like a tiny vehicle that seemed to be capable of hovering and have tiny weapons attached under their wings. "This is a bit of a different project for our company. Typically a vehicle has to be designed with a passenger in mind but there are quite a few people of a minuscule stature in other universes. These are the military equipped brand we've been developing but we're still unsure whether or not we'll be providing them to the military. Giving such a versatile weapon to a company could be disastrous, as you may know." All at once a series of 10 shots would fire off towards Peter in a flurry of blasts. They wouldn't really be aiming for Peter but rather be trying to provide cover fire to keep him from moving around too much. If the shots did hit him he might notice that they wouldn't burn him but rather provide a decent amount of force easily capable of breaking a normal human's bones.
Tiny drones... Those things are pretty spry, not to mention with those numbers he isn't dodging all of it regardless of anything else. "Nice! Looks cute and harmless but is actually deadly, I'll call em Vorpal Drones then!" The boy's still dashing, but he's forced to take on a far slower and more careful path than he was before. He'd duck under one shot, quickly leaping up into the air from there and sailing over another pair of them. As he lands one of them would slam right into his chest, sending the boy stumbling backward a good bit, he'd quickly aim to return fire by sending a spray of the web blobs towards his foes. One for each drone, not that he's expecting to get them all given they're moving. "Now, I'm curious how you fare in a brawl I've gotta admit! I'm no master of martial arts or anything, but I can hold my own with some of the best when I push myself." Rgardless of how many drones he'd hit, Peter would swap back to normal web lines and aim one right behind Carl. Assuming it wasn't blocked by something else, he'd quickly pull himself toward his foe and aim to land right in front of the man. If he did so, Peter would push himself up on his hands and thrust both legs out toward Carl to try and slam them into the man, aiming to then twist back onto his feet. By this point, the boy's clearly panting and worn down a good deal from his efforts.
Most of the drones would end up getting webbed but rather than trying to break free they'd simply disappear into a burst of particles. Only 4 would remain of the original 10 and they'd continue trying to hit Peter with a volley of 4 shots. However, none of the shots would be able to land with Peter beginning to approach Carl. Carl would quickly switch to a defensive position as the drones disappeared in a burst of particles one by one. Carl's defenses would once again harden but it would feel a bit softer than metal this time as if he didn't have as much time to focus on defense. He'd be knocked back a little but still relatively close to Peter. Rather than summoning something new Icahn would seem to comply with Peter's wishes and get into a common fighting stance. Carl's energy, however, would seem to take on a new shape with much more of it clustering into his fists. It was as if his power changed to some extent. "I'm a bit rusty. This isn't something I often use my own power for but you've helped me test some of my more experimental products so it would be rude for me not to comply with your wishes. I'll show you the Icahn fighting style I've developed over the course of my studies." Carl's right fist would begin to harden to that of steel as he quickly tried to approach Peter with a left hook to fake him out before going in with a right punch directly to the chest.
"Tony, one of your friends is nearby. Send them a message and say hello." A man in relatively leisure attire adjusts his glasses as a message rings into his ear, bringing him to a halt. His brow furrows as he lips curl downwards into a concerned frown. "Alright then. Spill the beans, who is it?" "It appears to be our web slinging friend." The man lets out a sigh of relief as he continues walking once more. "Well I'll be damned. Well I'm sure he'll spidey sense that I'm around too. I'll even make it easy for him." "The bar, sir?" "You bet! It's a grown-up's playtime when the kids are off having fun!" With that the man continues on towards the Red Light District.
Peter grins under his mask, well that's quite the thing for this power to do... "Alright then, I don't have a ton of options outside of melee myself so I'm stuck resorting to it. At least against people who can deal with my webs." He'd catch Carl's left hand in his own, aiming a quick kick to the man's rig- or stumbling a bit as he's struck in the center of the chest because he forgets to check for a feint yeah that works too. The punch hurts, he's had worse but it hurts. Even so, he'd aim to counter it with a quick blast of webbing over the man's eyes followed by an attempt to slam his right leg into Carl's chest dead on. "Not a bad trick, you're pretty strong too... I gotta say Mr. Icahn, powers like these are strangely suited to lots of things. Like I've got some multitaskers, but I would not think that vehicle control includes super strength. And maybe some speed too? Or is that just training..."
a blank piece of paper slides through the small openings of the doors, more so crawl. The paper rises up, revealing a stick figure holding what seems to be a very poorly drawn gun on the right, and a poorly drawn black shaded circular shield covered in arrows. The stick figure stares at the GYM, confused what this place even is, the stick figure turns towards the fight that just caught his attention.
Carl would be blinded by the webbing but rather than staying still he'd attempt to back away as quickly as possible. He would be able to dodge the strike completely but his energy would already have begun spreading evenly throughout his body from the moment he was blinded. His defenses would be even weaker than before, however, from having to switch between an offensive and defensive form. The kick with what amount of it hit him would still wind him a bit. Carl would stay on his feet as he seems to begin concentrating more on his other senses. "I think this will be my last technique here. After this, I believe I'll have hit my limit on what I can do now. Regardless, I hope you brace yourself." Carl would put his hands on the ground as if getting ready to sprint. For a moment the ethereal image of a space shuttle would seem to surround him before preparing to launch. "3...2...1...This is it! Full Thruster Charge!" Carl would suddenly fly forward with a hardened elbow aimed immediately forward. His speed would be that of a soaring spacecraft and his elbow would be like steel. He wasn't even sure if he was aiming for Peter anymore but rather would just be charging forward to where he once was.
The boy stares on in awe for a moment, Carl's hand to hand is no Cap that's for sure. But damn if the man can't toss out some amazing skills... Even so, standing around where he was would be stupid, but the guy's just too fast for a proper dodge so. "Whelp, this is gonna put that raw strength to a good test I'll admit that!" Peter moves, he's not as fast as Carl at the moment. But he's fast enough to slam his own arm in the path of his foe's blow, pushing back against the force with his other hand. "Come on Spider-Powers don't fail me now!" He's clearly straining himself, just barely pushing back against the man's force and speed even with his superhuman powers. After a while of this clash, Peter would hit his limits and be sent flying backward by the blow. He was counting on that, and would in fact quickly fire off a web line toward the wall opposite them... Which sends far too many tons of G.Force flying through his bones as he pulls himself toward it. "I'm calling this my last one, seems like we're both pushing it here Mr. Icahn!" One final web shot... Oh crap, final indeed it seems. His suit's HUD would read out that this is the last of his webbing in the current "clip". Either way, the boy aims his fists toward Carl and pulls himself down in the man's direction, a flying punch soaring through the air and attempting to slam into his foe's back. Regardless of it hitting or not, he'd then land on the ground and simply sit for a moment. "Gah... That hurt even though I blocked it, don't wanna think about what it'd do if I had been hit properly."
Icahn, even with the blow to the back would continue flying through the GYM nearly hitting the wall until a car seems to materialize right in his path only for him to crash into it causing it to deconstruct immediately. Having used an attack like that Carl would become fatigued as he could tell the device normally restricting his power was working extra hard to limit him. He'd turn to Peter from where he had to rest on the floor with a smile. "Sorry, if I went a little overboard there. Well, it seems it's getting late for me. I should return home for now. I have much to think about after this fight. Especially in some of my designs." Carl Icahn would get himself up and wave to Peter before exiting the GYM. A car would seem to drive up to pick him up. Nobody was in the driver seat so perhaps the car was driving itself.
The GYM door bursts open, severing it from its hinges as a girl with lavender hair and glasses walks inside as if nothing had happened. “Oi, Aki!” she calls out. “Is Fukami-san still here? I need to talk to him about PK!”
*The Nomad was still playing with the now alive rocks*
As the place had been inactive for a while, a young dark-cloaked man enters the building, slowly opening the door as to avoid making too much noise, though of course there's nothing for him to hide, it makes no sense to disturb anyone either. Once he enters, Luard yawns, noting the mostly empty area. Makes things easier at least, the young man takes his left hand and inscribes a pair of magic circles into the air, before thrusting his palm in the middle for... Whatever reason, nothing seems to happen.
The same teen in a costume would walk in once again, looking around the mostly empty GYM before he spots Luard doing some kind of spell. "Magic huh? Always been more of a tech guy myself, but Magic's pretty neat. I'm curious though, what kinda thing ya working on here? Seems an odd place for an experiment." He'd then pause for a moment, oh right he forgot to give his fake name. "Spider-Man by the way, pleasure to meet you I'm sure. And nice coat, very noir detective!"
Luard takes his hand away, causing the smaller circle to vanish from the air, seemingly satisfied, he turns around to his newest companion, strange outfit, but maybe its a part of their culture or something, nothing worth mentioning, as usual he maintains a casual, almost bored monotone Its a simple resonance spell to more accurately determine my location relative to other places I have already visited. No experiments here, I was basically making sure I was in the right spot to maximize the area covered. Luard walks over to the counter, kneeling on the ground beside it before tracing a short series of runes into its side, they would glow for a moment before fading out of sight Name's Luard. While I'm not entirely sure what a detective is, I shall take it as a compliment nonetheless. I'm sure they contribute quite a fair amount to progress
Huh, not even a question about the outfit? Well, he's clearly used to the strange by now then. The young man would go on, sounding curious and fairly full of energy. "Maximize area covered huh? Sounds pretty interesting to me anyways. Depending on what you're covering the area with anyways." He'd then laugh a bit as the man asks what a detective is, not from current day Earth by any means then. And those runes fade away huh? Spooky. "Law enforcement, or at least investigation. They solve crimes and stuff so yeah you could say that, gotta have somebody to make sure things get delt with right?"
With the runes inscribed, Luard stands up slowly, taking a deep breath before answering the implied question Its one of the more basic spells regarding energy transferral, simply taking it from one area and channeling it elsewhere, it might take hours to explain absolutely everything, but the short version is that it can be used to draw energy from sources other than myself, which is useful for, well, rather obvious reasons I trust. Luard covers his mouth with his right sleeve to stifle a cough, before shaking his head as he sits down by the counter Sounds like the knights back home. Part standing army and peacekeeping force, I've had to help them track a few people, much better to cooperate than make a fuss, and it usually doesn't take very long
*The Nomad enters the GYM once more to see if could make some friends... and maybe learn of to fight... but only in self-defense*
He'd raise a hand to his chin, hours huh? Sounds quite technical, to say the least, he could understand if he did the research most likely. But he doesn't exactly have the time or desire to learn magic. "Yeah, seems pretty intuitive to me anyway. Like setting up power sources for something you gotta make sure you have enough energy otherwise things will run out at the worst time. In my experience, it's usually best to have more than strictly needed, just in case an error happens." He'd then leap upward, going quite a way before clinging on to the ceiling with his hands, and somehow sitting down atop it. "As for knights, yeah I'd say it's a bit alike. Though generally, detectives aren't so much on the army thing, military and peacekeeping are in theory separate in my home... That's not always entirely true, but it's the idea."
As you suggested earlier, its for an experiment so I don't know exactly how much energy would be needed, thus I'm aiming to maximize the potential output in order to ensure it functions correctly. Unlike your machines its much more directly involved, so it should be fairly easy to regulate myself. Luard sighs and closes his eyes for a moment, before finally glancing upward to find his conversation partner on the roof. Are you just trying to show off or is that how your society talks? The young man shakes his head, sort of a rabbit chase there, probably best to focus on the topic at hand Regardless, the average criminal in this place is fairly tame, inexperienced and poorly equipped, not so where I come from, the most common group of outlaws has a level of experience comparable to that of a soldier, crime is rare, but more serious. There have even been several instances of wizards like myself needing apprehension. Rare, but existent
Huh... Oh shit, the boy would leap back down and rub his head sheepishly. "Neither actually, I just like being high up honestly. That's far from normal back home, but kinda became a bit of a habit to me!" As for the energy, yeah that makes sense. If you aren't sure what you need then it's best to prepare plenty in case of anything going unexpectedly. "Makes sense to me, machines are pretty hard to control finely... Though you'd be amazed at how involved really high tech stuff can be back home, I'm more of a novice though in that area." Well armed huh? Sounds like these guys could use a he- no best not to think that, he's got his own things to deal with. As for his own crime... "Most crooks back home are pretty small time, but then you got the odd mage or mutant or super scientist with some grand plan to wipe out humanity that actually stands a chance of working. Or just, aliens invading the largest city in the world, robot uprisings, ya know the usual. As for this city... I have yet to see anyone who'd pass for really dangerous in my society, but I get the sense they're out there."
GV walks into the gym as per usual and currently observes all of the current rounds that are happening at the moment. "Well...This is interesting..."
So you are abnormal for your home. Not really surprising, simply didn't seem worth asking at first. Luard yawns, slowly getting to his feet as he does so In all honesty I haven't seen anything overly impressive here either. Though where I come from all those you mentioned, the aliens and robot things, would be enough to get the military involved as a whole, rather than small groups in training. After standing, Luard takes a second to catch his breath, before walking to and out the door It was somewhat pleasant to meet you, I will admit, though I've already fulfilled my primary purpose here, as such I have no real reason to linger. Farewell.
As GV watched Luard leave, he sighs to himself, "They didn't fight...? Oh well, I guess I should test my skills a bit..." a little girl the size of your palm with a butterfly motif, floats by him, "GV, are you sure about this?" She asked him, "Of course I am..." he said back to her. To anyone else, it simply looks like he is talking to the wind or so as no one can see the tiny girl.
Heh, didn't seem worth asking? Funny way of thinking, but kinda cool. "Well, the whole military does get involved... But the heavy lifting is down to guys like the Avengers, five people with superpowers can do the job of a whole army and then some depending on what those powers are." He'd then wave to the man, something about Luard seems a bit off, but that's mostly just how calm he is. It's hardly normal, but Pete can respect it in some ways. "Anyway, see ya around Luard. Hopefully, this little project of yours turns out something useful to ya." Spidey then glances over toward the newcomer, huh... Are those sparks around him or something? Electrical powers? Might be a decent guy to train against then. "Hey there, you come here for a match or something? Name's Spider-Man, and if you're looking to practice in a fight I'd be willing to do a bit... Though uh, quick question, how many tons of force can you handle being hit with?"
"That'll vary, if you can even hit me that is..." Gunvolt said to Spider-man, keeping his usual cool attitude even around him, "I'm Gunvolt by the way." He said, as he took out his gun, the DART Leader and jumped onto the arena before striking his usual stance before the battle, I'm ready whenever you are..." The little girl floats beside him, flapping her holographic butterfly wings, "Ready GV?" "Yeah..." he replied as he wait for his opponent's first move
If he can hit? Well, this guy clearly has an ego, and a few tricks up his sleeves... Still, Spidey would chuckle upon hearing that. "Don't worry too much, I'm a lot faster and stronger than you'd think at first! Perks of being part spider!" The young man leaps up into the air, inhuman speed and strength propelling him far higher than he has any right to go. He'd then flick his left wrist at the wall on the other side of the building, pulling himself across via a web line that had shot from his wrist. "They don't call me The Spectacular Spider-Man for nothing after all!" He'd toss his right arm behind himself, flinging another web line toward GV, assuming it hit the boy would then yank it toward himself and aim to slam his foe up into the roof.
Once Gunvolt saw the web shot from Spidey's wrist, he reacted quickly and dodged before attempting to hit Spider-man with a few of his darts from his gun. If any were to hit, they won't physically hurt Spidey as they would just hit with a digitized 'dink'
The boy sighs, super speed huh? Well, he can play like that too, as for those darts? Well, a quick burst of webbing would find them caught up in Spidey's stream, save for one off to the side that impacts with the boy's leg as he leaps down Toward GV. "Something tells me those darts do terrible things, so I should try to finish this up quick as lightning don't ya think!" He'd spin through the air as he moves toward GV, web shooters blasting small rapid blobs of webbing aimed toward GV's chest and face as he does so. All in all, the boy would fire off 8 shots before reaching his foe. At which point he'd aim a high-speed punch toward the left side of GV's face... Only to suddenly duck down in a blur and try to sweep the other fighter's legs out from under him. "Hope you don't mind me dropping that punch, but a head-on attack just seemed a little too obvious ya know? Like, if I'm gonna get in close might as well try to mix it up a little and do something unexpected!"
GV would be able to dodge at least 6 of the 8 shots but two of them got his chest and his head area... "Tch! Better than being turned into stone at least..." He said to himself as he noticed the punch coming to him. He attempted to dodge, but was caught by the sweep attack, though it passed through him, as if he weren't there at all...only a few azure feathers fell from the attack. "At least my Kagerou is still active..." he said to himself as his hand tensed and electricity flew from it into the impact that one of the darts did to Spider-man's leg, "FLASHFIELD!" He cried out as a blue sphere of electricity materialized around him, with electricity rushing towards the red and blue suited boy.
Spider-Sense is going wild, the guy can make attacks pass through him for some annoying reason. But not all of them? Either way, GV would find his foe is quite quickly atop the ceiling as the ground level blast of electric rushes past, Spidey having pulled himself up by web line in mere seconds. "So you're a lightning controlling ghost with super speed, that's not the weirdest powerset I've seen at this point... But easily in the top five to say the least!" The boy would then do something else entirely, rushing out the back door of the GYM in a blur. After going outside, he'd leap atop the wall and simply cling to it, web shooters aimed down as he waits for his foe to come out into the backyard.
Gunvolt follows Spider-man outside of the GYM and stays on guard, unaware of what the spider may do next... "Well, he's definatley a smart adversary...that's for sure..."
As GV walks out, he'd note that there's some webbing on the ground. A bundle of it which would explode in moments of the other fighter walking near it, netting of the webs bursts out from it and flies toward GV. "Well, hopefully you'll stay a bit wrapped up in that attack!" The boy smirks under his mask, another web flying up to a nearby building across from the GYM. He'd pull himself along toward it, only to let go mid-swing and quickly drop down to his foe with a stomping kick, assuming that the grenade's net had worked this should be fairly fool-proof.
As expected, Crazy Diamond’s guard gets broken by other stand’s uppercut, leaving it wide open for an attack. Josuke flinches with a shocked expression on his face just as the other Crazy D. aims a punch coming for his stand’s face. “Nngh!!” Crazy Diamond instantly reacts by attempting to block the other stand’s punch by using its right fist to punch the fist coming straight towards him, locking both fists together.
"DORAAAAA!" Higashikata's Stand lets out a cry as it slams it's own fist into the other of Josuke's Crazy Diamond. The Stand holds it for a moment, pushing back with all it's might, before losening up and quickly pushing back, crossing it's arms to block the released punch of the other Stand. "Nice, nice! We really are evenly matched... How about we call a tie and end it here? It's a bit late, after all."
“Yeah, I’m actually getting quite tired myself. Hopefully I can fall asleep tonight...” Crazy Diamond retrieves his fist, putting it to his side. After doing so, the stand would retreat back to its user, Josuke, phasing through his body like a ghost once he gets close enough to him. “By the way, do ya have any wounds from those punches and kicks that need healing?”
Higashikata's own Crazy Diamond would put it's arms back down to it's sides, before fading away back into Josuke. He looks over himself, specifically his knuckles. He notices a few bruises. "... Er, nope. I'm all clean. How about you? Need to get patched up?"
Josuke inspects himself as well, not seeing but only feeling a small amount of pain in both of his forearms. Looking back to Higashikata, he shakes his head. “I’m all fine as well. I think I can take care of the minor injuries myself.”
He smiles and nods, before turning on his heels and heading out the GYM door, giving a farewell wave to the other Josuke. "Later, other me."
