"I get what you're saying, super powers and supernatural abilities add a new tier of danger to normal life and what must be wary of. They are all different and how much each can destroy also varies. It's natural something or someone would show up to counter balance it. It is said that evil cannot exist without good."
Kazuo would turn to look at Peter with a serious look on his face, keeping his eyes locked on the american. His eyes are static, as if trying to burn every detail into his mind.
"It is of course a matter of opinion, but these powers are owned by a minority, a minority of people bound by nothing but their own ethics, sense of justice and morals taught to each by society. It destroys balance, despite us never having much of it. I like to compare superheroes to people in positions of great power, enough to send the world into oblivion with the push of one button."
He raises one finger.
"In human society, those with political power are at the top of the chain, as well as the richest people in the world. But most of them, the vast majority of them at least, are bound by a series of laws that WILL punish them if they get rotten, and while some get away with it, they are still normal human beings that, in the worst case scenario, can be killed by one bullet. Although I prefer the legal system to do what's right."
He raises a second finger.
"But what do you do against a super soldier, or a man wearing armor, a big green monster, how can you bring a god to justice? While it is true those superheroes are doing the right thing by fighting what we cannot...it still doesn't make me feel any safer. I fear what I am hopeless against, I fear that which no normal human will ever be able to stop. There are no guarantees in the end, as you see, laws force people to act in certain ways out of fear of being punished. With no punishment, people won't usually play by the rules"
He then lowers both fingers and closes his eyes.
"In short, I dislike superheroes because I do not trust the judgement of a single man to give himself liberties to act in way he deems righteous, even if many others agree. Because terrible acts have been justified like this before."
After all that, he lets out a loud sigh before returning to his goofy smile.
"I said too much Peter. I uh...I don't like getting serious, sorry."
